Out and about enjoying the hidden gems of our country. On a cool Central Otago morning, no fog or frost, making the most of the new Matariki holiday. Haven't been along this beach front for years, not since the kids were young. So much has changed. TFTC. Had to be stealthy as there were lots of dogs taking their muggles for walkies
Took a nice walk while waiting for our hotel room to be ready. Thanks for the cache.
Our last free day at the end of a 3 month visit to NZ, & a drive out from Kingston, where our son lives, to have a last look around the area before heading home to England. A nice quick find here as our first of the day. Thanks for placing
Queenstown to Wanaka today via Cromwell. We grabbed a few caches on the way.A quick find here completed as a C& DTFTCTim and Viv - ddm
Day 10: South Island (Cromwell) and North Island (Mangere)Today was a day in two parts, beginning in the South where we left Cromwell for Queenstown Airport, but not before picking up a few caches on the way before the flight. After landing in a very windy Auckland, the second part of todays journey took me up Mangere Mountain for a little hike and back down to Mangere Bridge to cap the day off. An interesting day indeed, and once again, thanks to the COs on both islands for the multitude of caches of all stripes.(End of the cut and paste bit)This is the specific log for this cache:Last cache here and the cache was found pretty quickly once we found a good parking spot and I dashed to the GZ to make the find. Easy enough here, which is all the better as we had an actual plane to catch over at Queenstown. TFTC!
The airfield is all quiet, and as I approached GZ something took off in the grass! a small fright, but have no idea what it was?As to the cache all good here, thanks mcmanis1 for the hide, and history of the place
Quick detour for a fast find. Cache all good.
Thanks for the cache, mcmanis1

G'day from Australia!!!
Stumble Trip had been in NZ for the past 6mths, working on the Milford Track. Stumble's Mate flew in to meet up with her and we spent the next 2wks traveling the beautiful South Island in a camper. Whilst the weather wasn't favourable for the first week, we had an awesome time and travelled some 3,200+kms, seeing some beautiful sites and staying in just as beautiful campsite along the way.
Thanks to all the CO. Unless otherwise stated, all caches were found in good condition.

Jumped off my bike and into the van. Had time for another couple of caches before heading down to our accommodation in Clyde tonight. Quickly found. Thanks for placing mcmanis1
quickly located thanks Today was set aside to do a geo caching day to Cromwell if the weather was unsuitable for skiing which is was , so we set off early at about 8.30 and finally arrived home about 5.30 with approx 41 caches in total including the adventure lab , so we were very pleased. we took a muggle who have been intro' to geocaching briefly on a few days before and so today was a big geo caching experience for her and as i had 2 GPS's with me she was able to use one quite independently by half was thro the day.
we enjoyed spending some time at the historic Cromwell area which none of us had actually explored before and where we had lunch at the Grain cafe.
we only had 2 DNFs and both were of puzzle style caches which we had solved but there was nothing at GZ.
thank you for these caches

On holiday staying in Wanaka and decided to check out a town we haven't visited on previous trips and today it was Cromwell. Had a good time exploring the town including the museum which is near the cafes in the town centre area and then some caching - a perfect day really!
At around 3pm I was eyeing up the series as we had finished exploring the town. 'How long can I cache for then?' 'Until you get a DNF was the response' Well if that was not motivation to find them all I don't know what was! Woohoo local caches and series here we come!!
Another quick find and we were on our way.
Thanks for the cache.

We are out and about in the area finding some caches and enjoying exploring and revisiting other areas again.
We were in the area hunting out our daily ration of fresh fruit and grabbed this cache on the way past.
Thank you mcmanis1.

We're hunting Tour caches and anything that's not slowing down our objective to much. We scored 3x nights at Rotary Glen with max occupancy of 10 vans. The plan was just staying 2 nights but it's just to nice here. We never explored Cromwell, just raced through so we're going to make the most of it. The wind is already picking up and growing into a decent storm as the day progresses. We were doing the fruit caches but muggles spoiled it for a bit. So a hop and a skip till the coast was clear. Thank you mcmanis1
After a pretty big Day 2 of our South Island Honeymoon (and Day 3 of our marriage) enjoying a tour of the Cardrona Distillery, checking out the view from above with a Heliview Hellicopter Ride (an awesome wedding present from some of my new in-laws) and successfully hunting down some cherries at a local orchard - we thought we had better grab some caches in the area while we were here... it would have been rude not to right?!We were actually down this way earlier this afternoon for our Heliview ride - so not sure how we missed this guy earlier - I guess we had other things on our mind!A nice quick find today, and we were off to hunt down another smiley to add to the collection Found with Loz47

1. cache today before probably last trip to Glenorchy (visit my boyfriend living there, but moving). Easy, all good.
Found on a cool day down here. Meant to be overseas now so tripping the south island.
That’s our fifth cache of the morning. I think it’s warm enough now to go out walking!
A quick find after sneaking away from our Friends at the Cromwell Country Music Festival.TFTC
The fourth day of my work trip and we're well on the way to Queenstown from Dunners.
With CXL150 meeting a friend at Frankton half an hour ago, time was of the essence now but time enough for a quick side stop.
I was able to pull up more-or-less along side for a jump out and grab.
All quiet hereabouts today.
Thanks mcmanis1

*Winter time dots are thin on the ground for August soon to be rectified with a push over the border ploughing new fields of Central Otago of it's green dots turning dozens of dates from one singular shade of green to a multiple darker green on the 'finds' table*. A new challenge erupted to log a seven day streak straight after the MATM so double wow wee dot and 3rd day streak cache. Found the tuppaware in good dry hide and box was full of swag and in good condition. Had to remove one bulky item just so the lid would close! No planes this morning. Thanks for leaving a box here mcmanis1. **Seven day streak #3**
We’re based at Arrowtown for a couple of days and headed over Cromwell way today to find a few caches and do some short walks in the process. This was the first of 24 caches we located. Once the coords settled down this was a reasonably quick find. #2680. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalker on day #4 of our extended Easter break. Today we are travelling from Clyde to Cromwell then onto the old gold fields of Logantown, then back to Clyde.
Our stomachs were rumbling as it was after 1pm and we hadn't yet had lunch, but this cache was just a wee detour en route back to Cromwell to look for food. As it was raining, I was pleased to make a quick find. Tried to leave it a bit better covered. TFTC.

On our South Island adventure from Perth WA. A nice easy find with Spuddycakes in tow. TFTC
Visiting from the US. Caching from Wanaka to Queenstown. Very cool airfield. Thanks for pointing this out. Tftf SL
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 2 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more. Today I decided to go for a look at the old part of town and then for a bit of a drive.
No choppers here at the moment.
Cheers for the cache.

On a geocaching adventure around the country with myself, my car and my tent. Drove almost 4000km and collected 170 caches over a week of roadtripping, camping and seeing the beautiful sights of New Zealand. Lots of fun and so many great caches were found, as well as a lot of DNF's. Apologies for copy paste post. Thank you to all cache owners. Day five driving from Lake Hawea to Te Anau. Thank you for the cache
#1203 - On the way back to call it a night and took an alternative route to grab some more caches. Last cache of the day .

Quick grab as we near the final destination of Queenstown before heading home to Melbourne.
Today we had our second day in Cromwell and again made a trip in and around the city, thus visiting many sightseeing highlights again. On this trip we searched, found and logged many caches, too. The weather was beautiful, sunny, very warm, no little bit cloudy, and only sometimes there was some wind.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had better things to do than observing two geocachers.
Thanks to mcmanis1 for showing us this location and for the fun we had at PLANE-ING AROUND (Central Otago). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

The youngest of the EU crew was involved in a hockey tournament for 3 days, so some great caching had between games. Quite windy today so no-one flying. TFTC
Away for a school holiday escape in Cromwell, caching along the way on a crisp winter morning. TFTC 1743

Container was leaky, hubby switched it for something a little less likely to hold water. TFTC
As Natalie said, i found a key first. Then a wet Glad container with broken lid, these aren't good caching containers. Had a spare systema in car, so swapped over.
Found contents very wet ..replaced soggy log with a waterproof one thanks for bringing me here
Thus cache needs a bit of tlc. The lid is broken and letting water in. Log book is mush and paper put in is also wet. Put in water proof log. Thanks for the placement
Headed up from Dunedin ahead of working in Queenstown Monday to Tuesday and decided to come early to grab some geocaches on the way.
Had collected some fruit when up this way last time so thought be good to get some more.
Opps first spot searched was someone's spare key.
