With GreyHams we set off at a respectable but still early enough time with the plan to cache Yass for the day. We both had a number of caches we both needed along the way so made a few detours, caching our way through the still not hot morning.
Between us both we had a number to collect as we drove towards Yass, a few newly published in areas previously cached, park and grabs and a few walks. A very relaxed and enjoyable day, avenged a DNF from way back and added a few more!
The heat in the late afternoon kicked it up a notch but managed a productive day and had fun doing it! Feeling the heat and the long day it was time to head back towards Canberra with a few more caches on the way back. Had just pulled into the driveway when a notification of a new cache came in, perfect timing, tiredness forgotten and it was back out the drive and off to chase down a new cache... funny, but where did that new energy came from!?
Thanks for the cache and adding to the days adventures.
Found okay, just needed to look there!

All caches were found sometime between 5:49am Friday 2nd and 6:28pm Sunday 4th November.
I’ve been invited to attend a special event in Wollongong on the Saturday, well why not make it a whole weekend away with some caching to go along with it. About a month ago I started looking at caches I could find along the way and noticed that if things go to plan I could make my #1000. This didn’t end up happening. I found out when I approached the GZ’s of a few of the caches I had chosen didn’t have parking space to stop and/or were difficult to find which lead some caches into DNF’s. I did however love finding all the caches I did find and to end on an even happier note the last cache I found was a FTF (GA13111)!!! There were lots of great camos and styles of hides that I hadn’t come across before and new styles for common hides that provided me with plenty of fun and ideas for new caches. Most of the caches I found were in great condition but for the rest of them, the maintenance required is log books/sheets and/or containers need replacing, camo needs replacing, D/T and coordinates need correcting. On some of the smaller logs I signed as 2/11 JM, 3/11 JM and 4/11 JM. TB visit on all found caches over the whole weekend. I would like to thank all CO’s for the caches I found, the locations I visited and for the fun it provided me over the whole weekend!
Weekend totals:
45 Finds (41 Groundspeak and 4 GCA)
4 DNF’s and a lot of drive-bys
Cache Types: 7 (Trad, Virtual, Mystery, WherIGo, Trig-Point, Earth and Multi)
P.S. Sorry about the generic log.
P.S.S. All Caches found have been logged in order and backtracked to the correct day.

Nice hide out here and to see some nice rural properties.
Thanks for the cache hide.
Thanks for the cache hide.
Today I decided to stay away from PTs so I drove out to Yass to see how many smilies I could add to my tally. I had a fabulous day with no DNFs though at times I came close to walking away from the more difficult finds.
Thanks to all the COs for placing these caches for us all to find. My name has been added to all the logs, though mostly as SG. TNLN. .

It's the weekend and the weather is fine, so Touchstone7 and I decided a trip outside Canberra was in order. Today we headed back, but were determined to take the scenic route and collect a few caches along the way.
Second last one for the evening. Genghicat and I have had a lovely day exploring Cowra area and are headed home. The temperature is once again chilly and the car seems a good option. We had to grab this one though.
Cache was found quickly, and in good condition.

Enjoying our minor detour on the way to Dubbo, great to be back on the caching trail. Tftc
Did not take too long to find, easy find, on our way home after a week on the road doing 2,100kms all up.
Decided to head to Canberra for a NYE event via Yass with my 4 geo-kids in tow. Was happy to pick up some caches that I hadn't had time for before and a few that I had missed.
Yep, looked on the wrong side first. Quick find once I was on the right track.

After chasing some caches between goulburn and yass i ventured into new unfound territory and towards the murrumbridge river and along wee jasper road for some smileys and lots of photos. Thanks for a great adventure on a sunny but coolish spring tuesday!
Nearly done for the day.

Out with Goldenwattle and Decrypter for a trip to Yass.
I didn't have this one on my GPS, so had to rely on the others. Once at GZ it was an easy find. TFTC.

Spent the day collecting caches around Yass District. Nice views out this way. TFTC
Many is the time we have looked at this on the map as we head to family the other side of the mountains, but it would require a longer deviation than we usually have time for. Today we took the side road on our way home from Orange for an easy find. Thanks Pacmania.
Nice cache. Took a muggle to find as well. Might have just got her into it! A nice night cache. Tftc
Found the cache with a muggle at night. hopefully get her into caching. tftc Pacmania

Found with justjessie on the way back from Boorowa for the day. Loved the old house in the distance. TFTC.
#3972 - 13:50; I needed to pick up an item from the little bakery near Collector, so organized with MrDamage to do a caching run through the area to the north of the ACT to collect a few recently published caches and visit some new areas as well. We were now well under way having visited Collector, Gunning and Dalton and we had now made our first pass through Yass itself. Fed, watered and refuelled, we continued the mission on a couple of the side roads at the western end of the town. Another quick find and sign on this one. TFTC Pacmania
Found 1:51 pm with LuckyL10n. We were out on a caching run with LuckyL10n on a mission to do 50ish caches. This one was on the to do list. Stopped the geomobile nearby and off we went to GZ. A quick search and the cache was found.
Interesting fact about the power.
Thanks for the cache.

10079. Found during a great run up through the Yass region with mtrax and Dwarf Exploder.
Despite the chance of rain the three of us met early this morning and did the quick trip up to Yass for a day of caching. A great day - over 50 caches for myself with only a single DNF. This was my next find for the day. Parked close near GZ and made a quick find. Signed, returned, and then we headed off to the next one.
Thanks Pacmania !!

Had a great day caching around Yass with fitzy1965 and mtrax. Managed to triple my previous best for most caches found in a day and passed the 600 finds mark. Most caches were found easily with only one DNF for the whole day.
Quick and easy park and grab for this one. Thanks Pacmania.

Attempting to keep Copy/Paste section short for more interesting logs.
Friday & Saturday, geocaching in Yass & Bookham.
Reaching the 1k milestone this weekend
---End of Copied Section---
I have a feeling this one was opposite the two houses, one with a shed with a butterfly?
Thanks for the cache.

Some unplanned caching in Yass as a sudden sleepover here was decided on. Been a while since I did some night caching but today was hardcore. Soaking rain, wet shoes, cold, but keep going!

Found by Mary & David at 1330. We do love facts, figures and a chance to learn something new, so really enjoyed reading the background story. Now making our way home after a quick trip to Canberra to see the family. These structures have a vaguely sculptural quality as they march across the landscape. A nice easy find. Our thanks to Pacmania.
I was wondering where the other 38 of these might be, but upon arrival, all was clear. Nice quick find. Love those containers. Thanks PM.
Myself and the hubby jacko040773 went out the grab a few today, so we started here

Out of motel today.. Whitepaws9 and i drive around Yass for find caches... Beautiful weather.. Thank
The ants were on the move. There must be rain coming? I had to knock quite a few from the cache and they were hanging on to it and to me! - there was no way they were going to get inside this cache though. TFTC. T
Rapidlywild and I decided to swing by this one on the way home back to the Can after a quick maintenance run on our powertrail.
RW had already found this one a little while ago so I was on my own for the hunt here. It was dark by now so on with the torch and off I went as RW swung the car back around. Nice easy find at GZ [^]. Then with caching duties complete, back to the wildmobile I went to then head back to the Can.
Thanks for the hide, Pacmania

We intended to stay for 1 night only as we had a funeral in Canberra last Friday. We enjoyed the area so much that we ended up staying 5 night and did numerous caches in the surrounding area. What a pleasant and friendly town is! Now we are heading north for some sunshine via the backroads. Cache wa seasily found and in good condition. TFTC Pacmania.
Quick find, figured better to get these ones before the light fades too much and the critters come out. TFTC!
Back towards Yass and then up towards this one. parked ok and could see the top of the cache. Log signed and hide the cache just a little lower.
Thanks Pacmaina....

The cache was an easy find, but we also got to learn a little about power lines, which we had been seeing from time to time on our three day trip around this region. Thanks for all your caches, Pacmania
After another busy day out on the PT doing some more relocations and checks for the reviewer, I still needed a cache for the day. I had the company of the FurfacesLL ladies today as I was working on the PT so they were kind enough to swing into this one on the way home for my daily.
Was a nice quick find, logging duties completed, cache returned and off home we headed.
Thanks for the cache and the lovely location Pacmania

A week before my big trip to SA there was time for one last day trip. This time I headed out to Wyangla Dam region. On the way back I could not resist the call of one more cache, so I came over to this one and for once made a nice simple drive by of it. Thanks.
