With some time before work this evening to spare I decided to head up to para wirra to find a few caches .
A nice and peaceful spot along the river here, cache was easily found and is okay

A cloudy autumn day, but it feels quite warm. The rain is coming; not here yet. I’ve been down this track before but not this far. The photo is the view back towards Kersbrook Road where I came over the hills.
The geocaching.com trail map is a little misleading at the bottom of the hill. It’s an easy find anyway. Appears watertight but it seems soil has gotten into the cache. Needs a spring clean.
Thanks for placing Young Einsteins, we all love a large.

Went up the wrong track nearby and had to backtrack to get to the correct track. Nice to see a big cache, which was full of goodies. Signed the log. TFTC!
Father’s Day upon us once again, Magic [8] and Team Honda traditionally spend the morning grabbing little Yellow Faces.
Well that’s what we usually do, sadly 11 Blue Faces today with 4 Yellow Faces, what a disaster.
Thanks to all Co’s for the interesting day of searching.

What a great cache to find while enjoying a walk around the Mack Creek area. Lots of swaps available, but we took nothing. TFTC
Great Cache! Hard work to get to, but worth it as there is very nice scenery! Lovely little Gecko guarding the cache
(Btw the gecko was rightfully returned to its home)

Moneydork & I continued along the track...
It was a warm day & just completed a big hill walk not long before...
"No hiking today" says MD ...just a short stroll really...
The cache was easily located but full of water...we emptied it but needs some TLC...

Enjoyed the walk in here on a cool winters day. Log a bit damp. Awesome swaps which we will have to bring the littlies to admire. TFTC
I enjoyed a stroll to GZ today
Sans geopup of course ...
... they don't really belong out here anyway.
And by the side of the trail,
I found the leaky pail [:o]
It's getting a bit damp in there ... eh !!??

It was a great day for a walk so what harm is adding another 1.2km spur track to the route. Log book is wet. TFTC
Loads of swaps but the bucket needs draining as there is 3cms of water in the bottom. CO had asked finders not to remove bucket - only to lift lid. TFTC Young Einsteins.
Continued on down the track to this one, no pooch today...
Found easily, alas it has been wet and logbook is quite damp.

Thanks

Another one adding to my step tally for the day. Such a gorgeous day out it is too, one could easily mistake this for a spring day not a winters day.
Too the higher track when the other track was a lot more direct. Found it all tucked up with a flash of colour giving it away.

Embarked on a northern cache mission with Mr Froghoppin today to see what we could find around Humbug Scrub.
Somewhat of a fitness trail too
Didn't have a geopup with us but enjoyed the walkies anyway.
Left a travelbug Elf.

Getting back into Geocaching lately after quite a long break, this was the second find for the day and what an impressive hide it was, did spot it from the track so hid it a little better after swaps were made. The two youngest members of our team were very excited by the swag but were told only 1 item today, so the tiger was taken and a deck of cards added. We continued up the track and found a very fun water hole where we decided to have a small rest. Cache is a little wet inside but it should dry out, still in great condition. Moving on the TB which we discovered was only dropped in yesterday, great timing.
Happy Caching,

After a busy morning in town, it so nice to come for a walk through this area... and on such a beautiful day too. The compass on ronso's phone took us a slightly longer way around to GZ, not that we minded at all :cD Nice to find a well stocked cache of this size... lots of swag for the geokids! Dropped of a TB :c) TFTC!
Headed out this arvo for a bit of a wander around this part of Para wirra grabbing a few caches and taking the pooch for a walk.
Good to see lots of regrowth happenin all about.
Thanks Young Einsteins for the cache..

Found this cache while out walking in the southern part of the Para Wirra Recreation Park. Nice to see the vegetation returning after the recent fires.
This one was certainly very well stocked, even found an unexpected bonus, thanks.

Replaced in a new hiding spot right next to the old spot. Stocked full and ready to be found.
This cache will be replaced on Saturday afternoon as I have finally found a large enough container to replace the ammo container that was lost in the bush fire earlier this year.
Thanks for everyone's patience.
Thanks for everyone's patience.
Unfortunately this one was ruined in the recent fires ut i really like the area so will endevour to find another ammo can and replace this one asap.
This cache has been temporarily disabled due to a recent fire in the area. An extensive area of ForestrySA plantation and native forest was burned, leaving many trees unstable and presenting a potential risk to public safety. For safety reasons, visitors should keep clear of all areas while ForestrySA works to ascertain the exact extent of the damage. Areas will reopen as safety permits. See updates at https://www.forestrysa.com.au/News/Media-Releases.
Before enabling this cache, the cache owner should confirm that the area is open to visitors and that the cache is still in place and in good condition.
Before enabling this cache, the cache owner should confirm that the area is open to visitors and that the cache is still in place and in good condition.
As this one is the fire zone area I am disabling it until I can go up and check that it is still in good condition and safe to find.
once maintenance check is done I will reactivate.
Happy caching and please stay safe if caching in the Adelaide Hills.

I was lost and then I found. I was blind and then I see a cache left for me.
What an amazing adventure I had. Don't know how I lost the path. It might have been when I was running screaming from the enormous sleeping Lizard that I thought was a snake. Somehow I found the cache which was good because I then located the path nearby.
Who knew it would be so hard going back up that mountainous hill? Hopefully it will have toning effect on my legs.
It was a beautiful day for a bush walk. Thank you for placing this huge cache with awesome swag.

Caching is all about great containers. And this is a great container - one that should last for years and years.
Found on nice walk to solve a case about a bandicoot (which we did).
Thanks for the cache, Yound Einsteins

Kids were excited to find this one today after a big walk looking for bandicoots!
Lots of swaps to enjoy and exchange.
Thanks again for another cache today.

I was in Para Wirra today testing out my new hiking backpack and i had heard of this new, totally fantastic cache that is chocka block full of toys and goodies. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED.
I didn't bring a geo pup but i did bring a geo wife and a geo daughter which is close enough in my book. We followed the track from the gate and then i took a cross country detour which had me crossing a stream 5 times because geocachers never do things the easy way, do we?
Stick to the tracks guys it is so much easier.
Thank you Young Einsteins for taking me on this totally worthwhile hike, get out there people.

What an awesome goodie bag to be found in this cache and a great spot to bring geopups for a walk, my geopup thoroughly enjoyed himself. We absolutely had to visit this one with a name like that! I love taking my geopup caching on the weekend - such good company and they never argue back!! Thanks for the hunt Young Einsteins.
From the end of the nearby multi you are not going to miss a cache less than 200m away. Freddo loves an ammo can. Thanks for the cache full of goodies.

We parked the car at the parking coordinates and followed the track down to the Mack Creek trail and on to GZ. After a quick find and sign we followed the track down to Bassnet Road and then back up to the end of Frank Barker Road for a nice round trip hike. This is the kind of caching we love TNLNSL TFTC Young Einsteins!
Went for a lovely walk with the geopup this morning and found a cache. Will log tonight, if possible.
I am really starting to love this area!
I had seen this cache come out but wanted to give others a chance to get out here and enjoy a lovely walk through some great countryside...except no one did!
So this morning, in a balmy 24degrees the geopup Brodie and I came out for a wander.
We managed to locus cache very easily and loved the size of the cache and the contents which will make geokids' eyes pop! [^]
Only wished I had the geograndkids with me to enjoy it too.
Thanks for the great wander, the lovely sunrise and the *FTF* before work

Got up nice and early on Sunday morning and went for a walk while there was still dew on the ground.
Took the dog for a walk and she loved it stopping every 10 metres to check out every smell.
This is a great walk and I loved coming back for another visit after carry that cache in the other day.
Nice to be able to do it strolling along and enjoying the scenery and bird calls.
One galah got angry with sharing their park and scolded me repeatedly as I walked past.
