Final day in Auckland, and Cached and I were lucky enough to have someone take us for a cruise out of the city - interesting location, clearly well used by all sorts of locals
Many thanks snooplebike from the Wacky one

This cache really needs maintenance. Found today with Wacky on a last minute tourist run into the West.
This is a lovely spot.
Thanks

great spot, description of the geocache was cryptic. Did not have a pen so we will have to go back. It is not waterproof!
We came up the walking track from the campground. Got to within 10 m of GZ but nothing fit the description so decided to carry on and see if the car park would yield clues. Eventually found some fabulous views and the rustic bench. The area at GZ has been being gardened. We finally found the camouflage with the plastic lid still attached but no contents. It was being used as a border for a succulent garden. We added a log and stone lids and hid it under a large bromeliad. It is unlikely to be weather tight. NINO TFTC
Great views from up here. Found the rustic seat. Searched accrding to the hint but came up empty handed.
On high it certainly was, however, we started low until we realized the error of our ways and got on the right track. Still a bit of a search, but Super (sleuth) Nanny arrived at an obvious spot and we had it. Tftc
Thanks snooplebike for this fun adventure ! Think this is the first one of yours I've found so far ! I was keen to come out to Muriwai and do some caching here as I used to live in Waimauku and had some people I worked for very close to this cache !
Well we made a wrong assumption here and started on wrong level ! Soon realised our mistake and readjusted ! Was hunting around and admiring view while trying not to fall over cliff ! I finally found the Rustic Seat and called Ric over and he soon found the cache !

My second go at this. I read the description better and found it almost straight away.tftc

Our group, dubbed the "knight Riders" decided to spend the afternoon/night caching in lovely Murawai. Hadn't been here in years, gotta love caching for taking you to some wonderful places! We walked from the nearby multi, having warmed up walking the stairs! and headed onto this cache, made a wrong turn initially but quickly corrected and after a little bush bash found GZ, finally spied the camoed container, took in the views and then carried onwards to our next destination, MrNZT found a weta that had expired on the footpath and proceeded to gross out the ladies and enthral the kids by pretending to eat it! TFTC!
A group of us 'Knight Riders' decided to head out this way to grab some caches, dinner and then some night caches.
We originally started off trying to access it from the wrong place. Corrected ourselves and the mums in the group soon started holding the kids just a little bit tighter as there were some steep falling points. Thankfully one of the adults soon had the cache in hand and the pressure was off.
Thanks for the cache.

Out with a large group of caching buddies today. The mission: find a few caches around Muriwai, including a night cache or two.
We walked along from another cache nearby, and originally started off down the wrong path.... then stopped, looked up, had another read of the cache name and decided where we needed to go! Corrected ourselves, and headed off for a bit of a bush bash, like little lemmings, one after the other.... A pretty quick find here once we got to GZ as there were a few pairs of eyes looking. Amazing views- I love this area!
We came up with a collective name in order to save log space- "Knight Riders" was chosen (because "A Knight's cache" in Kohi was on my hit list of night caches I wanted to do if we got the time!).

Had started early in a group prepping for some of the local night caches, with this being number 3 on the hit list... headed in a slightly wrong direction initially but soon found our error to gain a smiley.

At first we were way too low, but once we got high we knew we were in the right place. Tftc!
Lovely spot but 20min of searching for no result . The wishing well seemed a bit torn up, certainly didn't look like the picture, stones strewn about everywhere
Revisited this one with Pazzabella to show her the stunning view...and for another search around. And yay found it this time! Thanx for bringing us to this gorgeous spot
I'd rather be high than working on a lovely day such as this.... so that's what I did. Far more rewarding tftc
Out in Muriwai this morning, so picked up a few caches while I was there. This one took me a while to find, but I eventually had it in hand. Nice view, TFTC!
Approached the GZ first from the wrong direction but corrected this mistake quickly. At GZ we explored the area, enjoyed the decorated tree and the awesome view. Found the geocache after a review of pervious logs. TFTC
We got here on sunset, what a beautiful wonderful sight. Read the cache page very carefully and quickly found the cache. T4tc
A couple of DNFs recently so I checked the cache today - still present and correct and exactly where it should be - keep hunting
Had a massive look around but did not find it buy did find a watering can and some xmas decorations. Had a look under all the stones.
Out and about after work this afternoon for a spot of caching. Parked up at the available space at the trail head and made my way to GZ. Quickly found myself at GZ but the GPSr thought I needed to be down the cliff, but a check of the description confirmed I was in the correct spot. Sound found the cache in this secret little garden. Cheers for the cache and sharing this location!
Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
If only I knew earlier that all I needed was to drive up this road to get a view, it would have saved my legs some walking! Did not find the track to GZ easily, but the cache was soon in my hand. Lovely views and I like how the locals have decorated the place. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.

Out with Tufty for another day in Muriwai to pick up those we didnt get last time we were out this way. Parked at the nearby trailhead and walked back to the cache, came out slightly at the wrong point the first time so reassed where we needed to be and found the quaint little spot, who set this up??
Fully exploring the area we did come across the cache, well hidden. Our last cache of the day and good to end on a high.

Yorkshirekiwi83 and I decided to finished off the Muriwai caches we had to leave behind unfound 4 weeks ago.
We had decided any the previous DNF we try and leave Muriwai On A High with a smilie from this one. After heading in the wrong direction we backtracked and finally got on the right one. After searched in a few places, some twice, we decided to widen the search area a bit and then the cache was in hand.
Cheers for the cache.

What an interesting little place, I can see the attraction of a nice quiet drink or puff while soaking up the view. Some one has gone to quite a bit of trouble. Tftc and for showing me this spot, may not revisit though lol. Have to go back another day for your other harder hide
The clay at the edge was wet and slippy, so was very careful about my foot placement. Soon spotted after a short search.

heading home from a refreshing wake up after night shift. Mrs Alligatorsnz tell me she made it a visit but didnt find after being put off by a mouse muggle leaping here in earlier cache... interesting spot.. do they use it to boil their food? swim in? wash the baby? water the plants? lol should have seen the jump when made a slight slip heading towards the edge.. life nearly flashed by lol
Spent about 10 min looking around this strange spot, but isnt wasnt my luck today. Maybe another day.
What a cool little spot... After having been into the west we hit this one on the way back. Found our way in easily enough and after having a nosey at the artifacts hanging about started looking for the cache. Bit of a search and it was soon located. Nicely done - TFTC
What a view! Came via the cliff which was a bit nerve-wracking but survived to find the cache. Cute wishing well & bromeliad garden! Tftc

After a bit of a hike along the Coast Rd to some newly published caches we drove up the hill to Muriwai On High. The GPS took us to an interesting little spot with a fantastic view. Had a good look around, then began searching for the cache. Spotted the hint item after a short time. Thanks for this one - a very appropriate title and hint.
Just for the record, I'm not one of the afore mentioned substance fans!!! But yeah, think you're right...
Although I didn't think I'd head out here so soon again this new cache wasn't going to require the trek like the previous caches of the CO. Called up funkymunkyzone and we headed out to Muruwai.
We started off on a downer but quickly got high. Found some interesting artifacts at GZ and started searching about. FMZ eventually spotted the hide and we hit the cache up for the log; it was pure! (FTF)
I bet we missed out on some great views however it was a pretty choice cleary night sky out here this evening; we totally spaced out! ;P
Thanks!

Quick drive out to Muriwai with slieschke tonight to grab a find on this new cache. At first we went down the track but quickly realised we were on the safe side of the cliff instead of the dangerous side, so headed back up top and eventually found our way into GZ. Took a bit of searching before I spotted the familiar container and we had the cache in hand. Definitely looks like a spot that is frequented by some substance fans Joint FTF with slieschke - FTF #1490 TFTC!!!
