"End of An Era". Very sadly and reluctantly, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have made the decision to archive our caches. Many Thanks to all the geocachers who have found them and given them favorite points through the years they have been active. We appreciate your support. Happy Geocaching to One and All .... Squashball2
Nice location, had me fooled for a while. Thankfully there's hardly any foot traffic here so it's easy to look. Took a while for GPS to settle but got there eventually Thanks for placing.
Visiting sister and brother-in-law, Squashball 2, in Sydney. Made the rounds today - great hides - SL - TFTC!!!
How on earth did we miss this last time. OMG... With a little help from a PAF we were looking in the right spot! Finally! Tftc
So happy to have finally found this one after previous DNFs. Had to resort to PAF and wasn't long after the little nudge we found TFTC
No luck today.
I had a good look. Thanks to the other side of the bridge being closed it was muggle free.
Ill have to come back later.

After 2 DNFs... pfft!
Found with sesblocker. We were a bit confronted with the signs at the bridge entry ramp. We did what all determined cachers do and ignored them. The bridge is barracaded in the middle. No need to go that far. Parking is available in Wooli St.
Good coords and nice hide!

Due to a few DNFs, checked on this cache. It is where it should be. We have also done 3 GPS readings with our Garmin and tweaked the coordinates VERY slightly.
Gps had us all over the place. This could be anywhere I guess we will just have to keep an eye on it.
After having found the nearby S.S.T. we walked over to this one. Started the search where we first thought it might be located, before reading some older logs which helped us understand which level we should be on. Even so, at first we had no luck. Trying to use the Cache Owner's spoiler photo to plot a location put us 20 meters away from where the coordinates were pointing us. Finally we did a methodical look-over from a lower level, which eventually helped us spot something to investigate, in a spot we thought we had checked already. And that is how we found this cache.
squashball2 I found your cache Not Your Usual LPC ! on 31/3/18, 3:03 pm. This is my find 1960 and find # 9 today. Mmm, caching gods were with me, a quick find in the first place I looked. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
**Aha!** After finding S.S.T. nearby Mrs Aries and I took a walk to try and redeem a DNF we had on this one last year.
We received a hint from the CO back then which allowed us to narrow down the area of interest. Still took us a little while until Mrs A got to the right angle and made the find. Signed the log and I rehid the cache. Visited some TB's. TFTC squashball2.

An unexpected decision to go caching in Sydney this morning had me in this for me relatively unknown area of Sydney, was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the parks around here. Some great caches and a few more knocked of of my wishlist!

Yay found it. It was where I looked for it the first time but couldnt see it till I took a view from enother angle. ^ TFTC
I searched and searched with no luck!!!
I read some old logs and saw the owner’s photo and got to the right level. I searched and searched with no luck!!!
I rang a phone-a-friend who told me where to look. I searched and searched with no luck!!!
I gave up!!!
But as I was leaving I spotted a film canister lying on the ground! Sure enough it had pages of logs!!!
I hope I replace it on the right spot!?!

Find 2 of 3 (1 GC and 2 GCA) for the morning while out on a stroll around Bexley.
This is my third attempt on this one. Approaching a familiar GZ I actually spotted the cache from across the other side. Yes! This is going to be easy I thought...then I spotted the muggle doing his morning exercises less than a metre from the cache. Who chooses a location like this for their morning stretches and jumping jacks??? So I walked past the muggle and went to find a close by GCA Cache while I waited for him to finish. Arriving back at GZ the muggle was still going but had moved far enough away that I could make a swift grab, sign and return of the cache between some backward jogging runs.
I returned the cache exactly as found although I’m sure it wasn’t there last time I searched.
Thanks for another great hide squashball2

Have finally arrived home and are visiting this TB to a few caches before we let it go out into the world again!

Yes, this really wasn't my usual LPC!!! In fact, I made quite heavy work of it. Luckily there were no muggles around to speak of, so my demolition attempts, climbing antics and other gymnastics went largely unnoticed. As we signed the log and scurried away, I did hear sirens approaching, but if they were for us... they didn't get us.. haha...
Thankyou, squashball2!!

Indeed it's not your usual LPC. No problems with muggles on a sunny Tuesday afternoon. TFTC squashbal2.
Found by me and my son. Good hide and a little tricky. Tftc can confirm no wasp nest.
Due to the last log, CO checked on this cache again. There are no wasp nests near the cache itself. Please note no need to go DOWN the stairs to get to the cache. Also you can refer to our last log for the photo we have posted from the cache location.
Very open, too bothered by this to search much. Then saw a wasp nest and that was that!
Perfect morning for a walk - and to check on a couple of our caches. Cache is still in place - all is well. Took a photo to share.
Great little hide. Muggles would never find it, but us Geocachers see the world a little differently. Just need to be on the right level. Found with Puglumps. TFTC
We were astonished by the log posted by Paul the Hippy. We consider ourselves responsible cache owners who would never leave a cache in an area as described by the log. Have just now gone to check on the cache. It is where it should be with no debris around it.
I spent about half an hour looking for this starting on top, gradually working down the stairs and around the gz. There was a heap of rubbish consisting of school bags, broken glass, food containers, alcohol bottles and other general litter items. Its was really hideous or was gps out and the gz is somewhere else. Without a clue or description, its pretty hard to narrow it down if the gps is incorrect.
Due to last log, thought we'd best check on this one. Cache is still in place - all well.
OCW Mrs A.
Unfortunately a DNF on this one after literally searching high and low without success. GPSr was jumping around too. We decided to leave when the security guy across at the work site kept glancing our way.

Very clever cache! Took us about 15 minutes to find the cache. One of the hints were very useful. TFTC
I needed to head up towards the city today so I took the opportunity to grab a few caches as I headed in both directions.
This one had me looking everywhere but eventually I put my hand in it.
Thanks for being a part of my fun day.

#6853 Arrived to Australia for three days ago, I and Rokkan will take some caches in Australia.
This weekend did we fly to Sydney. Our goal was to find the oldest cache in Australia. But of course did we logg some more caches in the city. Now is the temperatur over 50 degrees. I supose that it is only crasy Swedish cacher who is out caching now. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Sweden.

Good idea to take this one offline for a while as when I checked on the spot this morning there was lots of high vis vest action happening.
Due to the high amount of 'worker muggles' and all the construction work going on near the M5 entrance on Bexley Road, we have disabled this cache for the time being. We will watch the construction progress and re-establish this cache when we feel it is safe to do so.

Due to the M5 construction going on near the cache, we have relocated it just slightly. Please note the new coordinates. Also, please take extra caution in finding and replacing the cache due to the presence of the muggle construction workers and removal of the trees that were once there. Removing the tree where the wasps had built a home is a good thing - no more worries about wasps !!

Arrived at the GZ to find construction barricades everywhere. Luckily the cache is still in place and this was a relatively quick find. I had a look at past logs and they speak of trees and wasps. Not a tree or wasp in sight thanks to the M5 construction. Tftc squashball2
In the area today and decided to do a routine check on the cache - all good. Brought along a visiting TB.
#3067 - Eventually found it. About 8m out on my Garmin 62S. The camo and location was impressive. Many thanks to ***squashball2*** for establishing and maintaining this cache.
Very cool hide - loved the placement method! Found this on my way home in the late afternoon after collecting something from a store nearby. TFTC
After finding "Wolli Wood" for today's calendar gap cache, and then grabbing "The Kings Dipper: Resurrection" as I was passing, I thought I might as well stop for one last cache before heading off to work. Parked the geomobile at the end of Wolli Avenue, and then headed off over the pedestrian bridge to GZ.
Checked in a few spots before noticing the nicely camoed cache container trying to hide from view, and it was then CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC squashball2.

I read the extra hint in the CO's note and also another log and searched progressively until I saw it.

A couple of other caches had us down this way so we had a little look around and these three along the walk way. Not your usual LPC was first. A bit of a look around and as we worked our way around we soon spotted the hide and added our name to the log. TFTC
It was then onto Wolli Creek Walkway. It took a little to get into the right position as we checked close to where the needle said to go and then hauled in the find and completed the signing duties. TFTC.
Last on this stretch was Enterance to the Bat Cave. The GPSr had us on the grass but we moved to a more likely spot and once we spotted the hide from the right angle made the find and completed the signing duties. TFTC.

Found it pretty easily this time around after spending sometime looking previously !
Decided to take another look at our cache. Thank you nonda_v - This time around, we did, indeed, find a very active wasps nest in the tree near the cache. Brave geohubby has 'decommissioned' the nest for now, but that doesn't mean they won't rebuild. We will continue to check from time to time, and if the wasp situation continues will relocate the cache.
PLEASE NOTE: IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO LEAVE THE BRIDGE/PATH TO ACCESS THIS CACHE.

Due to the latest log, CO checked and all is well with the cache. We did not see any wasps nor a wasp nest nearby, but please use caution. Happy Hunting !
Always happy to get another smiley. I can understand that this place could be busy but not today.
A quick find and TFTC

AAAAAARGH!!! I didn't find it. Spent 20 minutes looking around. I know it is there somewhere, I just need more time. I will be back and next time I will find it
Found while out for a bike ride. Took a bit of hunting but found with a bit of stretching. All in good order.
Due to two DNF's being logged, we were in the area today and decided to check up on our cache again. Cache is in place - all is well and as it should be.
Yeah, this one turned out to be a little too challenging. We looked for over a half hour, as the sun got hotter, and finally decided to move on.
We looked high and low around and through, in long poky coming...no dice. Looked for about 30 minutes.
After being led astray by Brewmaker and after a short search, I figured where the cache may be and headed for the likely spots. And there it was, well camouflaged but sticking out as intended
Having turned two DNFs into Found Its, Mikev1 and I were feeling confident. Read the logs and hints, but compass had us in the wrong spot at first. Finally walked around and eventually headed in the right direction, spotted a lamp post and continued the search. Soon enough, Mikev1 said "Is that it?". Sure enough it was and so it was CIH. Log duties carried out and replaced as found.
A great spot to hide this type of container away from passing muggle eyes, but visible to the geocacher.
Very quiet this arvo as most muggles are on holidays.
Yes - this is not your usual LPC, and the clues will help you grab it. Now off to try and find The Kings Dipper: Resurrection.
Third out of 4 for the arvo. TFTC. #233.

Came by train and walked from Bexley North to Kingsgrove collecting cache finds on the way. A successful day, 4/4.
This was much harder than I expected, took 20 minutes of carefully scrutiny of the area before it was spotted. I've not seen a cache attached in quite this way before but its very effective, very well camoed.
Still don't know what LPC stands for.

In the area, so checked up on our cache. All is good. PLEASE NOTE: WHEN REPLACING THE LID, PLEASE CLOSE IT TIGHTLY TO PREVENT CONTENTS FROM SPILLING OUT AND TO KEEP IT RELATIVELY WATER TIGHT. THANK YOU - MUCH APPRECIATED.
GeoDirk and HanorahTLG are at a scouts-camp in Kurnell, that can mean only one thing: Time to go geocaching solo on my bicycle.
Although I knew the hint for the bat cave entrance, I couldn't find the container here. Maybe a next time!

Parked near the train station and a walk across and up soon had the cache in hand. Thanks!
Continued in the same direction from "Bat-Cave" and "Wooli Creek Cycleway".
Checked the obvious places first, and spied the container not in the elevation I'd expected, cache and contents all good, thanks squashball2

Found on our walk from the bat cave to kings dipper (although the 'nice' trail ends here before having to hit the streets). This was our second find for the day having already nabbed wolli creek walkway. I'm still confused over what LPC means in relation to this case (not the lamp post version). Took me a few minutes of scratching my head till I changed my perspective and the cache became obvious. TFTC!
Found with steelpaw! Great hide, nice camo(and as steelpaw said"nice well maintained log") TTFC!!
Out on bikes today, bit crispy. No muggles here at the moment so we search at our pace and soon spotted the cache, thanks.
After a couple of unfruitful "it must be here's" attempts, the clever well-constucted hide was spotted in it's well-placed hiding-spot. Thanks Squashball2 for an exemplary first cache-hide.
I tried looking in the difficult spots but it turned out to be a much easier find in the end. TBs visited. Thanks squashball2.
