Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamullaand Charleville. After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things. All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs. Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required. We spoke to the cache owner before we left Adelaide and said we'd pick up all archived caches to reduce geo-litter.TFTC
As i no longer travel through the area and with little assistance to fix a cracked lid it is time for these to go.

On our road trip and with thanx to the wife, she was the driver, while I jumped out and found all the caches in this PT. Some were easy, some were hard and some had us parking off the road away from the road trains and trucks. All in all, good trail. TFTC.
A nice morning to get out and explore the powertrail along Kidman Way. Highlights of today’s caching run were the ever-present wildflowers, a blue tongued lizard that stopped for a photo shoot, and iconic Aussie outback scenery

#11894 - 12:31:00 PM; After spending the night in Lake Cargelligo, day two of a mission through the Central West of New South Wales with Sol de lune to grab some of the dragonZones and counties to our west continues. Today's travels took us from Lake Cargelligo past Murrin Bridge, into Cobar, Bourke, Brewarrina, Walgett and on to Carinda to overnight. We collected finds in Lachlan, Cobar, Brewarrina and Walgett dragonZones and counties along the way. After collecting a few caches on the way to and through Cobar, we stopped for a bite to eat before making a start on this series. Time was against us collecting everything, but we foundall of theb caches we stopped for. A couple are showing the effects of the weather, but managed to add our names to all of the logs. Out on a road trip with LuckyL10n to grab a few LGA's in outback NSW that we still had to visit including Bland, Carrathool, Lachlan, Cobar, Brewarrina, Walgett, Coonamble as well as grabbing a few caches in previously visited zones.
We found about 20 in this particular series before our time ran out and it we had to head of. No doubt we'll be back this way again sometime.
Thanks for series....

Another early start from Broken Hill for our caching trip with Wilbert67.
Trip so far has been quiet good except the COVID-19 that made us do a trip diversion.
Now travelling to Cobar and picking up caches along the way.
Thanks to all the COs for the placements of their hides.
Glad for a quick find in the 40+ heat.

West New South Wales trip 2020. Day 2. I was joined by MinnieK and Fitzy_1965 for a trip planned to go from Goulburn to Forbes, Nyngen, Cobar, Broken Hill, Wentworth and Balranald. After a sleep in we left our overnight stop at Warren and headed to Cobar via Nyngen. There were a few caches along the way, but most of the action was the Australian Towns series North of Cobar, and a great selection of local caches. The two Earth caches were the highlight.
We headed out of town for the AT series next, all but one was a smooth find.

We are trying to get a badge ,the author ,from project GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to get badges for adding photos to our found logs .
We started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full-time, living in a caravan for almost 2 years now, caching fits in well with this lifestyle. It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone. When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there in order to get the caches we want.
We are in Cobar for a few days and will try to get some caches in town and surrounding areas. We hope we can make a few smilies here to add to our find tally. We are looking forward to the variety of hides we will encounter. Thank you for your work in placement and ongoing effort for maintenance of caches.

Heading back home to Queensland and we stopped to do this cache. Sure is quiet out here. Managed to say a quick gidday from an appropriate social distance to Mr and Mrs Honeysucker who were out this way (give a couple of hundred kms or so). Provided maintennace as required. Our thanks to honeysucker for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
After setting up the caravan at the Cornish Rest Stop, and ventured out in town and along the AT Trail. Unfortuately the trail is in need of some love. We had to replace a couple of the containers and others will need replacing soon.

We wanted to end the year & the decade with a geocaching bang & what better way to do that than with a power trail!?! Some of the towns we'd been to & others we hadn't even heard of. Mostly they were easy to find. TFTC
Found during a road trip from Adelaide via Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Walgett, Glen Innes, Tenterfield and Lismore to Brisbane. The Aussie Towns series was the target series for the trip having been on the radar ever since it came out, and I'm very happy that all caches were found while travelling through the area from Cobar to Bourke! Thanks for the cache and series honeysucker and farmer--brown!
TFTC. We camped in Cobar for the night,. As it was still early we decided to head back up the highway towards Bourke to attempt the caches in the AT series. We have been on the road for the last 7 years and have travelled through or visited most of the towns on this series. Interesting reading the description. Most in this series were in good our order and at the listed GZ. A couple were closer to the road than indicated due to some fence clearing.. All findable, though. Just need to look a bit further afield.
Making our way northward for QOGM 2019 in Blackall Qld.

Another great day with Pa as my chauffeur. Staying in Cobar again in order to get lots more smilies after attending the inaugural QOGM (Queensland Outback Geo Muster) in Barcaldine. All the caches were found, some faster than others, some in better condition than others and some closer to their GZ than others.
A huge thanks to the COs, their maintenance providers and the other cachers who provide maintenance eg Maccamob, Cybergran V and Felix. Apologies to all those not named.
All logs were returned to their hidey holes after my name had been added to the log, although sometimes it was SG if that was more appropriate.

Stayed in Cobar overnight, left the van, came back out to finish the trail. This end of the trail the containers have been maintained a little better than the ones closer to town. We hadn't visited Kadina before we started caching but we have visited a few times whilst chasing the power trails on the Yorke and have always enjoyed a coffee here.
We have found quite a few different towns series since we began Geocaching and we always enjoy knowing if we have been to the town or not and it's another interesting way to put out a small power trail that can be added to by others to keep the series growing. For the person caring for these caches we hope that it doesn't grow like the Wandering Heroes has.
We were lucky enough to find all in this series with no DNF's and also happy to say that we know each of the teams that have added to the series and had a bit of a laugh that all were originally Victorian cachers.

Day 2 of our stay in Cobar waiting for mech repairs. Thankfully we have a hire car and can get out and do some caching. Tftc Not a town we have heard of. Good size container always good to see.
This cache took quite some time to find. Eventually, after widening the search area, we located the cache 16m from GZ. Unfortunately water had got into the container and over an extended period, both logbooks had become wet and had gone mouldy. This cache is in urgent need to attention and refurbishment. We took some measurements for the current location of the cache and the average was S31 23.724 E145 52.495. Thanks honeysucker for the cache,
Found it with sevabo & Dolphia. Thank you for bringing us here. (Sorry for late log)
Lovely day outing for geocaching today before go heading to Dubbo after trail thanks for leading us here
After leaving dubbo at lunch time, we made it to cobar in time to have a crack at this power trail with team lewin, towards the end we started logging the caches as AB & TL in order to beat the sun going down. All up it took just under 2 hours from cobar and back to cobar. Thanks for this series and thanks for the adventure. This would have to be one of my favorite power trails so far, the caches were all different and there was plenty of space to pull off and park.
Wow! Afternoon arriving in Cobar for the night in the mid afternoon we decided to tackle the Aussie towns trail against the fading light. Just under two hours we found all but one cache (dnf). In a bid to get back to camp before dark we took turns at sprinting from the car to each gz.
After the trail we decided to give the final cache a favourite point for the fun we had. After all we had scratches up to our knees from branches and some new sort of grass I've never seen before. As we were going along towards the end some cachea were logged as TL and AB short for Team Lewin and aussieben.

Travelling around Australia.
After a full on month visiting WA we are now back in our Caravan and making making for Birdsville.
After overnighting at Cobar, it was a morning of chores before finally heading out to find a cache or 2 after 2pm.

A day of caching in Cobar. Completed the power trail. All were quick finds. Thanks for placing and ahowcasing this great town with caches to attract me to come and explore the area.Tftc
Just thought we would spend this morning doing this power trail along the Kidman Way. It was a very mixed bunch of containers in varying conditions. This cache was closer to the road than expected by about 18 metres. No problems finding it and the log was soon signed before all was replaced. Glad to have another smiley to add to the total.
Auf Cacherrunde in Cobar. Heute Abend noch ein paar Caches und morgen dann noch einige.
A free day while camping and water skiing to do some caching , off to Cobar and out the Bourke rd . Caching all the way back to Nyngan tnln
We decided to start this Power Trail from the end and we
really enjoyed doing it. We found 33 of the trail and
found another as well. Found 2 Pathtags.. Yippee!!!
Thanks to every one who placed the caches.
A great Power Trail.

Visiting geohubby while he is off work at one of the nearby mines, while the kids are on their achool holidays in Victoria. Glad the weather is not too hot or cold to attempt this series. Thanks for the great series. We have not been here but we know someone who does.

Found on our outward leg of our road trip from Cowell SA to Blackall Qld. Finding a few caches along the way was a good way to have a rest from travelling. Thanks for the hide. Having lived in Kadina for about 20 years we figured we could not go paste this cache.
Thought we might have a bit of explaining to do here as a white ute went passed just as we pulled up, did a uey and came back. Thought he might have wanted to know if we were in trouble but he kept going back the other way and then the next minute he was travelling on the inside of the fence near GZ. Guess he just missed his turn-off.
Such a bright colourful container was quickly spotted. Thanks.
