"End of An Era". Very sadly and reluctantly, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have made the decision to archive our caches. Many Thanks to all the geocachers who have found them and given them favorite points through the years they have been active. We appreciate your support. Happy Geocaching to One and All .... Too suspicious poking around in trees with a herd of kids playing and muggle mums carefully watching me.
On our return home to Canberra stopped for this tricky little hide and without the need to trample any plants. TFTC
Initially I drove past the reserve without noticing where it was and had to return to find a good parking spot in the area. I had to go for a circular walk with my phone but eventually identified a likely spot and there it was. Thanks squashball12.
Visiting sister and brother-in-law - making the geo rounds today. Great cache - clever hide. SL TFTC!!
Another quick find on the way out of Sydney after doing the old one nearby.

I had walked from Turella via the Wolli Creek Walkway, hoping to find Urban Oasis - but I couldn’t seem to find the right “level”. Walked on to the nearby station & detoured to find this cache while I was waiting.
Thanks for placing & maintaining this cache, Squashball2. Greetings from New Zealand.

squashball2 I found your cache Trainspotting from The Reserve on 22/4/18, 1:01 pm. This is my find 1971 and find # 7 today. Yep, coords spot on for a clever hide. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
Needed some fresh air and decided to go for a few caches around the airport. Found the nicely hidden cache in a good camo.
An unexpected decision to go caching in Sydney this morning had me in this for me relatively unknown area of Sydney, was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the parks around here. Some great caches and a few more knocked of of my wishlist!

Find 2 of 2 while exploring the playgrounds of the Bardwell Valley this morning with the geokiddies.
This is not our first visit here for this difficulty 1 cache . It a good thing that the geokiddies love this park especially since the recent upgrade. This morning while the kiddies played I again searched GZ for the cache. Searching over old ground again with no luck, I looked for other possible locations for the hide. It was then I spotted something I had never thought to check before and bingo the sneaky hide was located! This is the best execution of this type of hide I have seen so far, well done! Cache is in perfect condition, heaps of room left on the log. Signed and returned it carefully. The kids then enjoyed another couple of hours playing here, scootering around the new path and trainspotting!
Thanks for the cache and for introducing us to this perfect location for the geokiddies. A fav point from us.

Last find for the day and it was very clever. Looked in the spot but didn't notice it at first. Great park, TFTC
Great spot. Had fun finding this one with the kids on fathers day. Be careful when you put it back!!!
I stopped by here hoping for a quick find but gave up after a brief search as a persistent muggle exercising in the park kept passing by. I'll be back another day.
Got a park opposite GZ. Did a bit of trainspotting after a quick find. Another clever hide. FTS new log. TFTC Squashball2.
Read the last log and thought it best to check up on this cache - perfect day for it as well - and no muggles in sight when we got there. Have replaced the cache's o-ring and put in a new, dry log, So, should be 'good to go' for awhile ! Happy Geocaching.
I was out and about and found myself nearby to this recently re-enabled cache with many unloved days, so decided to take a look. Parked the car nearby and then headed over towards GZ, which was in a different spot to where I was expecting it to be. After a quick search I had come up empty-handed and then the GPS started pointing to another area. Then I widened the search but there weren't too many options. So eventually I decided to head back to where I started. On closer inspection I spotted something suspicious which I had previously discarded as a piece of rubbish. But suddenly I had the cache in hand. Signed the wet log (but still writable) and replaced it all as found. TFTC
Grrrrr, today was not my lucky day. Eldest geokid and I came out for a spot of caching and stopped for a quick play in the park and to grab a cache. Considering CO checked on the cache yesterday I know it must be there, I thought I'd searched the obvious structures really well but I guess I'll be coming back another day. Not so bad a geotoddler will love the opportunity to watch the trains.
Yes ! Construction finally done on this park/playground area. Have checked on the cache - all good - so, we are enabling it again.
We have seen the Reviewer's Log. We have checked on this cache regularly due to its nearby location. The cache is still in place but inaccessible due to the construction of the playground area. We do not wish to archive this cache as it is well-liked. We will continue to check on the construction progress and will enable the cache as soon as possible.
The Reserve is closed for renovations or construction now, so we are disabling this cache until further notice as it is inaccessible. Will check on the progress of the Reserve from time to time. If we are able to reactivate the cache, we will. Otherwise, will archive it. To be continued . . .
Park is closed, but I squeezed under down by the railway. If you know where it is, you might just be able to reach for it. I'm curious to know why the park is closed. I'll watch this one...
CO visiting some TBs from our trip to the US over the Holidays before sending them on their way.
Found on a Saturday afternoons caching with steelpaw and the geopooch-thank you!

After our DNF of more than a year ago, Miz Wacket and I returned with considerably more success this time around. An elegant hide.
Brought some newly activated TBs out today to begin visiting caches. Happy Travels !!
Nice hide. Couple of dog walkers wondered what I was up too. Found with Happy Jackie. Thanks
Luckily there were some spots in the nearby 2 hour parking, and nobody around. Made for a pretty quick find, I have some of these on the side of my fridge that someone left on my work car a couple of years ago after borrowing my extension lead. Tradies helping each other. Quickly signed, unusually while I was there a 4 car train when past that said Train Test as the destination, but I wasn't close enough to see what type of carriage it was. Unusual to see a 4 car in suburbia these days though unless you are on the Carlingford line. Thanks squashball2.
#482 Last of six finds on a afternoon's caching around Canterbury, Hurlstone Park and Bardwell Park. Nice quick and easy find. TFTC
Just started the hunt when my Gps batteries have up. Phone app sort of half worked
Got guidance from PAF as i thought coords were inaccurate.
Rightly so and soon had CIH

We were in need of yet another calendar gap cache for today, so I stopped off on my way to work to have a look at this one. Parked the geomobile in Slade Road, very close to GZ, and then headed across the road for a look.
On arrival I noticed a classic cache hiding spot and, on closer inspection, it was CIH. Retrieved, signed the log sheet, and then replaced as found. TFTC squashball2.

After dropping some friends off at the airport this morning, I decided to go "the long way" home, via a handful of caches in areas I'd barely known of let alone driven through or cached in.... I navigated my way here, finding a handy carpark nearby,.... Off I headed towards the fenceline, before realising GZ was elsewhere. I wandered back to where I needed to be, and made the quick find, before heading off around the corner for the next one nearby.
Thanks for a quick and simple find squashball2

Continuing on in out quest for placed anniversary finds this was one of two near our travels today. we parked close and headed Over. We soon spotted the tell tail sign of a hide and pulled in the hide. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Another one today on a rogaine- this was near a control. Loved the little method of hiding- it was great. TFTC!
Interesting hide
First time I've busted this area and the caches around here are quick yet interesting

Slade Road Reserve is a pleasant park near the railway line.
Fortunately I didn't see any trains as it would have been the train I was hoping to catch.
Caught the train and found the cache.

On our way to the train. With a cache this close it just wouldn't make sense not getting it. TFTC
On a mission with Mrs Brewmaker to break my monthly record and only needed another 2 with 1 day remaining in January.
Easy find as we parked in a near empty carpark on a Sunday arvo. Followed the compass, thought about a similar hide I had seen before, wiggled my fingers about and then it was CIH. Removed the log carefully and sat down to sign. Lucky there were no muggles to bother me as I carefully replaced the cache securely in its hidey hole. No trains to spot either unfortunately!

TFTC,
Closing in on finding 3,000 caches and today was all about numbers. I have already calculated the location of GC4G0Y4 and will be making this the bid one. I managed to reduce the remaining count from 11 to 3 during a visit to the St George and inner west this afternoon.
Visited a group of trackables.

Nice hide and construction on this one, I appreciate that it's not a mint tin, not that I have a problem with them, thanks squashball2
Saw Steelpaw's log entry and thought we should check on the cache. Cache is intact - all is as it should be.
Miz Wacket and I looked around, read the logs, looked some more. Couldn't see it anywhere.

I'd been contemplating where to cache today (thinking south or west) when today's new cache publishing started.
South it is then.

Final find in Rheneas''esteemed company - it was great to finally meet you.
He made the quick find - interesting twist on a common placement - and as we completed signing duties, I got out my trackables for him to discover.
Then he headed back to work. Me? Well there are a few more caches nearby...

It was a fairly warm afternoon and haven't not eaten any lunch yet (in my excitement to get FTF on a nearby cache) I was starting to tire. Thankfully the terrain had leveled out and together with Gatherer Hade, we trudged along the roadside to make a quick find. SL and took some photos of his trackable collection to log before departing back to civilization. Good to meet you GH, and thanks for another trickly little cache squashball2! TFTC!
As I always say, if the oven is on already I'd better bake something, and when I'm already out in the middle of the day, why not make it a cache finding day too. Thankfully it was in the first place I looked but in a little more interesting way than expected.
TFTC. What a great way to hide the cache. First time we have seen it done like that. Found it after looking at the wrong place first up.
Awarded my first favourite on the strength of the hiding method

A quick, easy unobserved find. Thanks Squashball2 for placing a container that WASN'T yet another mint-tin (:-) and thanks also for your unique method of placing the container in the structure - well done!
The park was totally deserted with only cars whizzing by in a hurry - probably trying to complete their Christmas shopping . All made for an easy find. TFTC squashball2

Easy find as coords were spot on for us. Loved the strength of the m_____! TFTC!!
After Wolli Wood it was a quick drive to this cache. We parked in the nearby car park and walked to the cache. No muggles in sight the cache was retrieved from the only spot it could possibly be. Thanks for the cache!
After wolli wood across the tracks, raindoctor and I came here. There was someone practicing their golf strokes on the reserve but we retrieved the cache inconspicuously enough I reckon. Thanks for the hide!
Late log. Just getting back into geocaching and catching up. Thanks for hiding a cache here. Cheers.
GPS a bit bouncy but looked in a likely spot and there it was. Maximum stealth required! TFTC.

I enjoyed this hide, although it was pretty quick. Nice job on the container and other connected pieces.
Did see a down Waratah set.
Was nice to do a train spotter cache of someone else's for a change.

Hadn't seen any activity on this cache since May, so decided to check on it. Unfortunately, the cache was not only missing, but found it destroyed. . Have replaced the cache in a new location and 'tweaked' the coordinates. Cache size remains the same - BYOP. Hopefully, we've chosen a better place this time, and it will last longer ! Happy Geocaching !!

Driving past and thought I remembered there was one here. My phone GPS took me straight to GZ, it doesn't always do that. So I can at last say "quick find" I must at last be getting the hang of this caching business.
