Sounds like this one is a bit grim to find. Thanks to everyone who has visited it.
We liked the cache name, and the cache was a quick easy find as we have found a few of this type. TFTC

After nabbing the majority of the Smurfs Series, that amount wasn't enough to satisfy us crazy southern cachers. So off to explore new territories while still daylight and before our energy is sapped!

Taking advantage of the school holidays to explore new areas... this one was great to find, we knew where it was, but needed several trial to retrieve, as they were lots of muggles around. Great hide, the exact location also prevents from being muggled, thanks for placing this so neatly. Both container and logbook were in good condition.
Well it took 3 goes but I finally found the right angle and could add another smiley to my collection TFTC!
I actually got incredibly sick of these hides while living in Canada as the carparks in the areas I cached or lived are filled with hides like this...in some ways I'm glad they're a little more rare in NZ as it makes it a slightly more enjoyable find... I still appreciate the hide though and the effort that goes into creating and maintaining them (and it does make a good hide!) just the same so thank you for this and possibly my first Rolleston smiley

First cache of this trip south to drop son off at uni. Thanks for quick grab.
Loved it! Always wanted to find one like this and we finally did ️ Thanking you!
I was actually on my way to look for a solved puzzle when I noticed this on the map so made the short side step to pick it up as well. TFTC # 16,259
Down in Christchurch with the Squirrel, ABCDF4 and eyespyben. During Covid lockdown, we solved a load of puzzles and decided that this would be a good time to visit. We've enjoyed a few days of good weather and seeing the Canterbury countryside. The caches have been in varying states - some good, some not so much. Our time here has been a blast, and we'd like to thank all COs who have made this adventure possible. Thank you and TFTC.
With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap). Logging all finds as Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa - Our hometowns)... During Covid-19 lockdown, we solved a truck load of puzzles around Christchurch - Canterbury region. No use thrashing the old grey matter for no cause - We decided we should make good on this handiwork...
There are lots of interesting trails and geoart surrounding Christchurch. What you aren’t told is how far flung some of these caches actually are. Some beforehand advice would have been great, so here are some of my notes... You’re welcome!
1. Mobile coverage is patchy, especially in those quiet, rural areas where it was most needed. Saving caches to offline might show that you are prepared and organised...
2. There are many dusty metal roads on the trails. The car will get messy, and your hair will feel like cardboard at the end of the day...
3. Suitable clothing and footwear are essential. You will climb in and out of hedges, gorse, and other rough stuff. You might get scratched, cut to shreds, and bleed a lot. It’s not advised to wear your brand new jacket on the day...
4. Take lots of food and drink. You’ll probably be head down, tail up and not realise you haven’t eaten until late afternoon. There are very few shops or gas stations out there...
5. Make sure that you secure keys and wallet and know where these are placed for easy retrieval. A full box of pens might be useful too, especially if you’re inclined to free some into the wild...
6. Know the difference between left and right, and north, south, east, and west. Turning right and heading north will not get you to South Christchurch quickly.
7. Look with girl’s eyes rather than boys eyes... Some caches haven’t been found in a while and you might have to get down on your knees to pray.
8. Always be prepared for misleading hints. This is what turns simple caches into D5/T5 hides... “Head height” could mean the cache is positioned at your toes.
9. Have a sense of humour and like the people you go caching with. It’s going to be a very long day, and you might want to hurt someone during the journey...
10. Make sure you can operate your phone/device and it doesn’t crash when you most need it...
11. Learn to cut and paste logs because you’re going to repeat this function so often when logging all of your finds.
12. Above all else, have fun and be kind...
We have another one of those punishing plans to cache until we drop - An early morning start with the hope that we'll finish at a reasonable time... We are back in the South Christchurch neighbourhood to mop up a few more hides... A few passersby, even at this hour of the morning. Thanks Bigglesponies and TFTC.

After puzzle solving in the Canterbury region along with ABCDF4 we were invited to join Fap (from Fap & Gap) and Squirrel Nutcase to a week long caching adventure in the Canterbury area. With flights and accommodation booked were off, all met up in ChCh. and many hard dusty Kms travelled and many caches found, I think the Squirrel has said it all in his brief. Many thanks for the placements and Cos for bringin us to the very pleasant areas we travelled in to your region

**Found on our February - March tour around the South Island. Logging back home in Auckland in Lockdown isolation**
After washout weather 4 years ago on the 29th February we have been keen to greatly increase our Leap Day Finds tally in 2020. To that end we made sure we were in Canterbury ready for some quick puzzle trails this morning, and determined to cache all day. We made short work of the Smurfs, then moved on towards Rollerston to find a few trads. Guessed from the title where this one would be hidden, and then guessed the type of hide it would be. Right on both counts. TFTC

Over here for a catch up with friends in the Lego community and needed to get a cache. Nice little hide, which we would never have thought of looking as a more inexperienced cacher. The more we find the more we learn. TFTC
Found early in the morning, best time for this sort of cache. No one else around, TFTC.
Being a long weekend in Marlborough I decided it was time to pop down and see the family in Chch. Last chance before Xmas for that. But with Sunday family day that made Saturday caching day, and with Capperz also in town we teamed up to find a whole heap of solved mystery caches in the general Ellesmere area. A long, hot day but a fruitful one, thanks all COs.

We came to Rolleston for the Event and then did some caching. First love the title, and what a clever hide. So glad we found one like it in Invercargill so knew what to look for. Thanks for this cache Biggleponies.
Today we're meeting up with KrystalKath's sister and bil down from Auckland visiting Rolleston then exploring the area.
Oh look a nearby geocache!
A quick find avoiding the muggles. A quick log sign and return and we're off exploring. TFTC Unfortunately this cache does not contribute to the Mystery at the Museum geocache challenge which will be my secondary goal today.

Thanks have a list of a few cache I need to find and this was one of them. A trip to Hanmer Springs to run the miler. So a good opportunity to find some cache to fill some holes in cache placed dates.
Didn’t take me too long to find. Just had to think like a geocatcher.

Sorry for the late logging. I had a great day driving around by myself finding caches to get the souvineers and work towards my MGSc, but not so much logging each of them. The plan was to find as many of the remaining Fresh Breath caches that I hadn't got the previous Saturday as well as any extras that I went past before heading into Christchurch for this event.
I think I may have left it a little too late to get the last souviner but I don't care I enjoyed the time spent out hunting for them. This was the last cache for me one the way home from the Christchurch event. Last time I came past there was road works going on so I didn't stop. This is one of those caches that I never quite have enough time to hunt for properly when I am in the area but is on my mind every time I drive past.
I almost laughed out loud with relief when I found it. I had made so many assumptions about where it was all of them wrong. It's one of those caches and yes I have found one before so I should have known quicker where it was.
Thanks for the cache, so nice to finish the night with a find.

At the time, i had no idea what 10 9 8 7 6 meant... 5 hours later when logging find, i clicked. Been a long day. Easy find, used car to shield from Fulton Hogan workers.
Quick fine this morning - having some time with my grandson while the rest of the family attend a funeral

No rain, no work, perfect reason to go on a caching adventure! A lot of fun except one cut on the finger ad one poke into the eye. 200km in the car, which involved a slight backtrack for an unexpected errand, and 20k steps. Overall a very nice day! Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches!!
Quiet at this end of the car park luckily, and I managed to grab the perfect parking spot!

Having been up to Christchurch for an event, yes May now spelt and having found the five caches at night time that I had aimed for I was on a course set for BP so I could get a hot chocolate for the drive home.
I had vague thoughts about maybe spending five mintues having a look for this cache but that went out the car window when I got detoured around the shopping complex and found the road on the other side closed due to road works too.
Well it obviously was not meant to be tonight so I'll just have to come back again another time.

While trying to look casual I picked up a whole grocery bag of litter, makes me so sad how can people just drop it.

JD and I did a quick whip around before the Signal Canada event. We managed to grab 7 caches in 30 minutes. Always fun to grab caches at speed. We knew what this would be as we drove into the carpark. I quite like these hides. We signed the log as Jeje. Tftc.
Injeanious and I were in Rolleston for the Canada day event, we raced around and found 6 caches in 30 mins before the event. Luckily we had seen this type before which made it an easy find, log signed as JeJe to save time and space, TFTC!

I came to this one after the Blame Canada! event, and a couple of other finds with my GeoYoungling #3. We decided to have a nice warm drink at the coffee place nearby afterwards. Not too many people out and about at the time we were there, so could search in peace. All good!

Nice cache find here while out with BCD grabbing a few caches here and there. Cheers
I have seen this type before, so figured I knew where to look, but a few muggles sitting in their cars could see me. So a waiting game began. I was able to shift my car to beside the GZ to give me some cover. Then a quick down in and under, grabbed the container and signed the log. Phew. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.
Needed milk and..... Well let's say it took a bit longer than needed. Should have gone with my instinct. Plenty of muggled about so picked my time and boom ... #13140. We parked right next to GZ (we've seen a few hides of this type over the years), and I soon extract the cache from its hiding place. Nicely done. TFTC.
Found on an expedition to Rolleston with StreetWalker, with the main objective of finding all the WPs of the mighty Rolleston Pump Station Trail, plus finding any other caches that were in the vicinity.
We cheekily parked in the s/market carpark right by GZ. All quiet, but soon it wasn't as SW retrieved the cache . Impossible to be quiet with this type of hide!
Good to get a Bigglesponies cache under our belts today after DNFing one earlier today. TFTC.

Seems summer hasn't quite departed yet, a gorgeous warm day and no better way to enjoy it than with a bike ride around town to collect some caches. A handy stop here as I needed to pick up a couple of grocery items.

Blustery old day in Rolleston today. M&R went to do some shopping, so B&M2 went to get this. Had to stealth it as a large car and boat pulled up nearby, luckily occupants more interested in their phones than us log quickly found and signed. Tftc!
I had to sign off a few for today and thought I would visit Rolleston for a change.
I had to call in here for some fresh supplies.
Cheers for the cache.

Quick find on a caching day in Rolleston. We wanted to do one of the nearby trails and decided to use the bicycles. So today it was cycling in Rolleston and after that the trail. Thanks for placing all the caches.
[green] Another big day rainy out with Hanknstone. Started with a walk around a section of Hagley Park while waiting for my front tyres to be replaced, then out to Thompson's Track. Finished off the day with the Metal Mania series - alas, mostly just the odd-numbered items. Did a few Angry Birds on our way back to Rolleston for a pub meal - my first decent meal in over a week, And then home.
Dinner don, on our way home. Still light out, so grabbed a couple along the way. I knew where this was as soon as we got near, even though I didn't yet have the GPS. The embarrassing part is that it took me a couple of minute to workout the meaning behind the cache title!
