Tryed looking in all possible locations it could have been, but couldn’t locate. Possibly muggled
Looked at all the possibilities, and no luck. Disappointed, it would've been an easy find.
Found this very sticky cache on a brisk evening whilst visiting the park as part of a sports match visit; out and about with Bonster. TFTC. Cheers!
A keen group of retirees were playing pétanque in the pleasant afternoon sunshine. TFTC
Found with DVH on a lovely sunny day. TFTC. Logbook filling up but still room for a few more.
This was our first geocache hunt ever! We found it with our American grandparents. Lots of fun!
Ok this is absolutely, definitely my last cache for the day....she says just checking out the map . All on good order. TFTC.
Down for the Wellington Mega with KirsTim & yorkshirekiwi83 and vistra for the weekend, picking up caches in the area along the way. Lots of fun had and some cool sights to see. Many thanks to all the cache owners for the great maintenance and their caches!
I flew down to Wellington just for the day today to attend the WENZ Mega Event and I joined up with Yorkshirekiwi83, Vamber and KirsTim for a day's caching, which was focussed primarily on caches in the Hutt Valley area - signing all logs as KKKTTS. This was found while driving around the area. TFTC!
Out and about with Vamber, yorkshirekiwi83 & vistra gathering caches in Upper Hutt whilst in town for the Mega. Signed the log as KKKTST. Took a wee while to locate this as the gps was all over the place. There were loads of pokemon muggles in the park too, so once the gps settled we had to wait until the location was clear it was a quick find, thanks
Spent the long weekend down in Wellington and the surrounding region with Vamber, KirsTim and vistra, we were there for the Mega event and we picked up some caches along the way. Thanks to all caches owners. TFTC
Always remember my old mate Rex who was a great petanque player. Represented NZ several times. No longer with us. RIP old friend.
Another Mega and the inevitable list of cache finds to log. Not really a chore, just time consuming for this old geriatric. My apologies for the repetitive logs but I will attempt to add a few additional comments as I go. Had a great two days. Catching up with other cachers is always great. Day one was mainly a solved puzzle collection with little blue hen and Kiwicouple. We also squeezed in a few adjacent traditionals and a couple of multis while participating in the CITO event in Trentham Memorial Park. Quiz night was a fun event after a very tasty roast dinner and we were happy to finish only 4 points behind the eventual winners. Day two little blue hen and I gathered a few more traditionals that we hadn't done close to the Mega centre. A few coffees, a favourite point or two, some frustrating searching at one or two and then off home for a rest. Thanks to all the COs for making it another fun weekend. Now to prepare for the Melbourne Mega in November. TFTCSL

Down for the MEGA in Upper Hutt, Wellington, with NZTravellers, caching around the area.
Logs individually signed as "stik-a-crane" or "SAC" if space/time was short .
Time for the official photo celebrating the MEGA..
..thought the events were well managed considering a good sized turn out to the MEGA.
Thanks to all the CO"s for maintaining their caches ready for the onslaught...…

Day two of our MEGA wellington adventure! The weekend was great and the Wellington caching community did a fantastic job of hosting the event and maintaining some great caches and the weather was perfect for caching! We started in Johnsonville and ended the day in Upper Hutt and the back and beyond caching to all hours of the night.
This one took the boys ages so I got out of the car, checked my GPS and the hint and had the cache in my hands immediately - dont know what they were doing!!! TFTC!

Found in the hands of another, who then challenged us to try the super magnet - wow
My goodness, that has got to be the strongest cache adhesion device I have every come across! I was congratulating myself on my Super Stealth Skills, casually reaching to find the container, and then every so subtly pull.....pull.......pull...oops, I seem to have knocked myself over. Once I manage to pry the container from its spot I signed the log and planned to revert to my Super Stealth Skills for returning it to its place. Nope, some fellow lanyard wearers were striding towards me as I provided very clear evidence that they had found GZ. They signed too, I returned the cache, they gave the adhesion system a try, and we all headed off hunt down some more smileys.
Thank you for the cache.
Thank you for the cache.
#16220. This was (pretty much_ on the way back to the car, so we stopped by to sign the log. TFTC.
Nice and easy as the park was deserted early this morning. Found with bkj97 on our second day of caching while attending the Mega. Thanks to all who had caches for us to find while exploring the adjacent area. T4TCSL
Teamed up with KGS for the day and our aim was to get all the lab caches, events, and some caches along the way, and we had a ball! Nice to bump into the CO during the weekend too! TFTC!
WENZ is New Zealand's 5th Mega Event ever and for months I have been anticipating in attending it. It is the first Mega Event that I have ever attended and sadly I could only come for one day, so early on Saturday morning my father and I got in the car and drove our way towards Upper Hutt for a hectic day of geocaching. In the end it was a spectacular day where we managed to found 67 geocaches somehow throughout the whole day, see a lot of new faces, catch up with friends and just have an altogether amazing time.
I had just found a geocache in this park that I needed to get the 11 types in a day and I was about to leave but this geocache was close to the car park so I quickly went to look for this one before I got back in the car and headed home. I was looking a little aimlessly for a bit before I read the hint. The hint gave it away and I soon found the geocache, it was a bit hard to remove but it didn't take long before I was signing the log. TFTC, the day is coming to a close but that isn't stopping me from finding a lot more geocaches before it does.

Quick stealthy sign of the log while biking around to find the Where I Go nearby ?

Found with a local cacher and some out of towners whilst in the area for mega. Great placement, straightforward find. TFTC!!
With a group of fellow west Aucklanders Merlot58, Aiden29 and Bertie Blowfish To attend the MEGA and for a fun long Labour weekend’s caching. Thanks to all the cache owners for setting up and maintaining the caches. Sorry for cut and paste logs. Another quick find in this park.
I’m in the Windy City to attend the Wellington Mega with a few fellow Westies from Auckland. We’re having a great time as we explore the area collecting smileys as we go. Thanks for bringing us here, sorry for the copy and paste logs but am using a Cachly template to log as I go. Quick easy find
Nothing better than following a procession of geocachers to a cache? Would have loved to have seen petanque being played. TFTC.
A group of us wandered over from the final of another cache. Always an easy find when in someone else's hand, but we all agreed we would have looked there ourselves.
Thanks. Only time for one Leprechaun cache today.

Grabbed this one while a break in the MEGA event and followed a group of fellow cachers around.
I couldn't believe it when a couple started throwing their boules onto the ground as we approached. However this cache was nicely placed so that wasn;t a problem. Great to see people actually use these facilities. TFTC # 13,113
It's great to be in Upper Hutt for the WENZ MEGA. Our chosen special challenge here today is to try and find 11 different caches types. Along the way we appreciated the help and encouragement of other cachers at times. We find the camaraderie of cachers is one of the delights of this game.
After #4 on our quest we were not far from here and so chose this for our Traditional type cache. We were able to drive in right to GZ and the find was quickly made. There'll be no problems with that magnet holding fast! TFTC and #5 in our quest.
Mr G remembered coming to this park for outings as a child, but it's developed a great deal since then.

Down in the Capital for an extra long weekend before exams start, with Jag50, Merlot58 & Bertie Blowfish. Stopped here to try and get 11 cache types in one day. Were nearby for a lab cache, so continued on to find the caches in this reserve. A few muggles around but all were oblivious to us searching. Signed as JAM
Found with StreetWalkerNZ and Apty on our quest to find 11 cache types in one day.
Had already found a traditional cache, but this was close to one of the lab caches, so we had to make a wee detour to get our names in the log book. TFTC.

It's finally Mega weekend!
Found while travelling with TeamBOP to the Mega event in Wellington.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Team BOP have descended upon the Wellington region for the 2018 WENZ MEGA. We have a lot of caches to get through so there isn’t a lot of down time but it's great to meet the locals, CO’s and fellow cachers. My online logs are largely cut’n’pasted because my memory has started to blur many of my finds together so apologies for that. We’ve signed logs as ‘TeamBOP’ or individually depending on log space and time. Lastly a big Thank You to the Team - TNXPro, Davidsonclan, McJandals, NZFlossy, FapandGap & Squirrel Nutcase and to all the CO’s that made this a memorable trip
We saw suspicious activity at GZ, finally, some fellow cachers out at night. A quick find with 6 of us. Signed as Jeje. Tftc.
We saw some suspicious torchlight activity at gz and joined in with team BOP just in time to make the find. Log signed as jeje. Tftc!
Attending the Wellington MEGA, great to visit here from the sunny Bay of Plenty, these finds have been found with my team members, which include myself, NZ Flossy, Davidson Clan, Squirrel Nutcase, FapandGap, TNXPRO and Philip.Perry and signed Team BOP. (To save room on logs) We are having a blast and gathering lots of smileys along the way. Please excuse generic logs in advance. (as I have saved the template using Cachly) Many Thanks to all you cache owners for the placements. Cheers
After a long drive this morning, made longer by a road closer and a detour, we thought we'd have a wander and stretch the legs, so headed to this area.
As it happened, muggles were having a rip roaring game of petanque near by, so we casually stopped to watch for a while.
Mr Rattll learned he needed to build up his finger muscles a little as he wrestled the container from it's hide. That's an impressive magnet!
Thanks for setting this up wb1116 it was nice catching up with you again over the weekend.

Found it!! My exactly where I thought it would be.... not what I would class as a bench...... but it's really good. TFTC
It’s a lovely day for the start of spring. Saturday so a little busy but not too bad at GZ.
Wasn’t hard to find, though GPS reception was sketchy.
Turf grounds were noisy.

# 1078 Without correctly reading the entire cache listing on my phone I immediately went to the other logical host item and had a look. After a while I realised i was on camera and probably looking rather dodgy. A quick look at the compass arrow revealed I was 20 m out so went to the next logical host item and voilla! Easy find, and sure is a strong magnet here! hard to get back into position, but managed, for the next hungry cacher. Thanks wb1116, filled a pocket of time here !
We decided earlier in the week we were going to head towards Wellington instead of the Napier Hastings areas as previously decided to get some caches and get numbers up to be able to collect the Hidden creatures souvonairs. last weekend we got 32 so we need another 68. this is cache number 9 for the day, but the third Leprechaun cache of the day, our GPS was all over the placed so it came down to geosenses to kick in and they did we found the cache, cache is all good here we signed the log and placed it back exactly where we found it, gee its not easy to get out of its hiddy hole, but got it in te end. nice tidy area a few muggles around and some looking down at us. thank you for placing a cache here for us to find. now onto the next cache. TFTC
Simple and straightforward. Looked at other places first though. My friend found this one while I was looking elsewhere. Cheers.
nice and easy, liked the receipt log, 8 year old found this but needed help to retrieve it, then injured himself running in circles around the pentanque court!
