After a long search, I checked with the previous finder. It seems it is missing. Or I need a glasses check. Lol
On a bit of a roll today. Couldn’t find this one yesterday-today...”palm to forehead” got it. TFTC

We were at this park last week with granddaughters and never thought to check for caches. Got it today TFTC
More facts from 3LG - this time about animals. A quick find and sign for me (Ava) before I headed off to the play equipment. Quite a few families enjoying the area late this afternoon. TFTC 3LG P. S. The log sheet is wet!
We have seen a couple of red bellied blacks on our caching adventures this year, but they heard us coming and slithered away long before we got near them. Today we found a carving of one on a rock and not far away this cache. A lovely area for families to enjoy, and there were quite a few here today. We are visiting Mt Barker from Victoria with our grand-daughter, Ava - also a cacher. SL at 4.52pm even though it was wet. #4312 TFTC 3LG

Found this on one of the rare occasions when the area was not busy. Good hide in an interesting park. TFTC
We come from Qld where Red Belly Blacks are quite abundant, we looked at the one that is carved into the stone near by. The cache was found just as easily. SL TFTC

Over in SA for the TDU and once again Mount Barker is our base for the week.
Seeing that it was so hot today it put a change to our plans, but as it cooled down we decided to head over the big road into Nairne and turn some icons into Smileys.
Mr Tyred n Cranky has big issues with snakes and seeing the rock near the waters edge when we pulled up..... well lets just say that even I was a little hesitant to get out until we realised it was not moving.
After a big of a search we soon found the goods.

Find No. 1243. Found with FUF009 at 5.45pm.
Being from Central Victoria we are spending the week in Mount Barker for the Tour Down Under Bicycle Event. As today was a rest day for the riders we went for a drive into Nairne to grab a few caches.
We parked the van and the first thing we saw was a snake on a rock. It looked so real we all had to have a second look before getting out. It didn't move and we realised it was only a statue. Now to locate the cache. This one took a little bit of finding, as we looked all around but it was FUF009 who came up with the goods.

In Nairne with JJ52 tonight to do her 2000th cache on the Nairne Murals Multi so it was a good opportunity to do some other caches as well
With mojo running hot JJ made a relatively quick find on this one!
It was a nicely cammo'd hide and well located with the interesting sculpture nearby!

In Nairne to get my 2000th cache with Ismartis and after dinner we grabbed a few more caches before heading home.
Had been to this park earlier in the night but we were on a mission then, but after dinner we decided to come back to grab this one. [^] Found the cache in this lovely park, another familiar 3LG hide.
Thanks for the cache 3LG.

Never saw a real one but the carving is awesome. It's amazing how this is carved out of a bit of granite.

Found it on the way home from the toy run, with the CO in tow. Neither of us had a pen, and he laughed as I scratched my initials in the log with a piece of bark. But it worked. TFTC 3LG.
Came here before but the muggle count was off the charts.
At 7.45pm on the 3rd day of summer, a much quieter experience.
TFTC. a great cammo.

I had to go to Callington for Toy Run marshals training today, accompanied by Brodie dog as I was in Harry and not on my motorbike.
So I had arranged to pick up Clare007 and go caching for a while afterwards.
By the time I arrived home at about 2am, I had found 12 caches and also found my 6.500th cache
Had to stop and grab this on our way through town. Can't miss out on playing with snakes now, can we[?]

How many kids can you fit on top of a geocache??? Well I thought I was going to find out here! Arrived to find that the GZ is an afterschool pickup point for kids at the nearby school. Estimated about 20 kids within metres of where I guessed (and later confirmed) GZ would be. Sat in the car and made a call by which time everyone had been picked up. The now distinctive style of 3LG hide was found easily ...... good co-ords. Hope this one lasts !!!
Ive encountered many Red Belly Black Snakes in the wild .............. but none would have survived long here today with the herd of kids hovering about!!
Thanks 3LG for the hide!!!

Called past in the fading light with just enough time to take a close look at the very impressive Red Belly Black Snake. The nearby cache search was no problem this time with spot-on coordinates, although the nice paintwork on the container did blend in extremely well with the surroundings. Thanks for replacing the cache 3LG, and for the chance to claim another rewarding find!
Coordinates changed from:
S 35° 02.034 E 138° 54.182
Coordinates changed to:
S 35° 02.034 E 138° 54.170
Distance from original: 59.7 feet or 18.2 meters.
Checked today and it seems this one decided to go for a swim, a different style cache container has been placed here, it is in plain sight so observe the area before retrieving to avoid muggle suspicion.

Had a good search around by torchlight before finally resorting to a call to the CO. Mr 3LG confirmed I was looking in the right location, but another search failed to yield results. Back home now, and after reading some of the earlier logs I suspect the cache may be below the current water line (although I did have a feel around in the cold muddy depths while there). Will have to return soon to have another look.... Thanks for the adventure 3LG!
New log placed in cache and if the lids are secured properly this cache would be watertight.
Found after a day at monarto zoo. Met hillier crew while we were there...TFTC the log is sodden & needs replacing asap
Mr Tardis was in the area today and stopped by to admire the snake. I found the cache a couple of metres away. The log was quite wet, and many of the names were different from what's been logged online. Is it possible there is more than one container here? The one I found is a plastic preform tube (the one with the larger lid, not the small one) with a smaller plastic cache inside. Also the log was quite wet.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache 3LG.

This was the second visit for me to find this cache as the coordinates are out. Previously, I had rung a recent finder who described a cache that was missing but would have been pretty good coords wise if it was there. Suspect it was a duplicate cache by someone who didn't know where original cache was...
I knew an early finder of the cache who had described its placement in regards to being below the storm waterline so I knew that there had to be 2 caches at some point. Today, came with the earlier finder, confirmed coords were out and that as expected the cache log was wet despite an attempt with 2 containers to keep it dry. Having lived in Nairne and knowing this area well, I believe a rethink might be needed on placement as maintenance will always be excessive during wet wintery months. TFTC.

Found on the first day of our Geelong weekend. The cache was 10 metres out from coords and placed well underneath the storm water line, so the cache was soggy and almost unsignable. Last time Owl was here it was a DNF because it was underwater. Needs to be moved or maintained after every heavy rain.
Found yesterday -was out in the open near the water. Placed back where the co-ords seemed to indicate. TFTC ☺
Hooray, finally after 3 aborted attemps due to muggles sitting in their cars right in front of GZ today was the day. Late in the day and raining I thought I'd have a fairly good chance of nabbing it today. Spot on coords had the cache in hand in the first place I looked. TFTC 3LG
Had a DNF here last year after searching in the completely wrong area, now with a few more finds under my belt and a better GPS we made the find rather quickly. TFTC! A nice little park.
Tried to locate this cache a few days ago
Was unable to get close to ground zero due to water after heavy rain
Today we pulled up next to a lovely snake resting on a boulder sun baking ,yes the sun was out
A nice quick find while out caching in the Adelaide hills heading to the Barossa Valley
Took our TB's along for the ride

We've come across a few of these snakes in our time but thankfully haven't had any really close encounters. Mind you, GeoTM loves snakes and wouldn't care one way or another. We'd definitely treat them with respect, however, because getting bitten isn't on our agenda. TFTC
Very tricky and a little challenging at 8:30pm after kids footy. But very satisfying upon retrieving. TFTC
Needed a day in my calendar and time was running out so I thought I may as well get the closest to home. I had been saving this for just such a day. Looked in the obvious spot. Nope. Looked in all the garden. Nope. Looked in a place I know will be underwater is there is sudden and large rains. Yep. . I hope it doesn't float away in a big rain. Happy it was double sealed though. Thanks 3LG.
Apparently the only good snake is a dead snake. And if you are hiding in the bush then Mike will through rocks at you.

After sorting out a technical issue, it didn't take long to find this one, even though we had tried finding if first BFE style [:o)].
Nice rock - we talked about how it would have been done and the work involved would have required a lot of perseverance and patience .

Took a bit of seeking and dodging muggles but found it when I was just about to go (iPhone ended up being pretty close). A bit of de ja vu with this being the third cache in the location over the last few years. Thanks 3LG.
Stopped by again today after ascertaining from 3LG that we were to look for a micro.
Found it in the first place we looked this time, a spot discounted previously.
Nice sculpture and park now. First time I came here there was no water and that cache probably drowned when the wetland filled.
This is the 3rd cache I have found in this park, and the last one was about 20m away.

Thanks
