I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi Adamrgrant
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

The CO no longer caches and the cache is inaccessible as the area is too overgrown unless you want to take a bulldozer or climb through 6ft clumps of cutty grass and gorse.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
This cache should be disabled or archived as all tracks in Alice Eaves Reserve have been closed off due to Kauri die back disease so there is no access to the cache.
Made my way down to this one from Rocky Retreat - Missed the turnoff and went up the hill - I did actually see it and thought there must be a easier way - there wasn't. I was in shorts and got a good cutty grass cut. Got to about 16 meters from GZ and spotted the hide. Some water is leaking in to it it seems - signed the log and made my way back down the fence line - what a great adventure.

Out and about for a hike around the Alice Eaves Scenic Reserve, collecting caches along the way. I parked up on Old North Road and took the tracks heading along the main creek, before taking the dirt road up to Hillcrest Road and then looping back to my car via the roads. All up, including cache searching time and deviations off track to access GZs it took about 2 hours. Anyway, I was able to spot the "trailhead" for this one without issue. But, the trail is certainly overgrown and requires some amount of bush bashing. At least it was easy to stay on course! I managed to get the GPSr down to "1m" but there was nothing resembling the cache title nearby. I noted that AlunB had mention a 16m variation in his log, so, I elected to backtrack some 15m. That did the trick perfectly as the hide was quickly detected. Unfortunately, the cache is full of water (I managed to sign the waterproof log sheet) and the Camo is starting to deteriate; the CO may wish to che months one. Cheers for the exercise and the cache placement!
After success at "A Rocky Situation", I decided to try my luck at this tricky looking cache a little further along. I've read some of the logs previously so was aware this might be a bit harder, but was encouraged by the recent find. As I headed up the trail, I missed the turn, if you could call it that, but spotted it quickly when I doubled back. Headed off into the bush following the rough geotrail, with the GPS slowly counting down meter by meter. It was certainly a good bush bash, but finally got down to a close distance when I spotted something out of the corner of my eye with the GPS still indicating roughly 16 meters to go. A closer search confirmed this was the cache, and then I turn around and head back the way I'd came.
Probably one of the more challenging T3's I've done, but a big thanks to those cachers that have gone before me and left a geotrail I was able to follow today, TFTC

After reading some previous logs last night decided to come armed with a pair of secateurs.
"Pruned" our way to the cache GZ, though still took some wounds from the cutty grass.
After a bit of WTF is this going to be, we actually located it in a couple of minutes. Pleased to say our trip out was much quicker than the trip in, until the hill that is.

Out with Jag50 and my niece and nephew on a big caching adventure. We located an access point to the reserve and made our way towards GZ. We passed the trail initially and headed up the hill to claim the other cache. We noticed a path on the way back down and headed in. It was a real bush bash with no real trail, just keeping the fence beside us. We scambled over fallen trees, pushed though cutty grass and gorse. Arrived at GZ and everyone spread out in search of the cache. The whole area was covered in fallen tree branches and debris, which made searching even harder. We were about to give up when Mrs Jag yelled out that she had found something. Upon further examination it did prove to be the cache. Nice to make a find here after being unfound for 18 months. The kids loved the adventure there and back!
We were with Aiden29 and her young niece and nephew and this was to be the last cache for the day before an ice-cream in Orewa. We missed the trail on our way up the hill, but managed to spot it on our way back down. This was a real bush bash along the fence line towards GZ. Once at GZ we noticed that there were some freshly cut trees - not sure why someone had chopped them! We spread out and searched for quite a while without finding the cache. After expanding the search area, Mrs JAG50 caught something that didn't look quite right. She called Mr JAG50 to have a look and initially he dismissed it as the cache, but on further inspection we realised that this was indeed the cache. We replaced the log with a fresh log before retracing our trail. We passed an old guy hiding in the bush with his dog on our return. Not sure what he was up to, but he tried to hide from us!
This was certainly a fun adventure today thanks guys....
Was in the area , so I found the Rocky one first...
Then on the way back to my car I saw the track going to this one ...so I made the call to go and get it before it got dark !
Easy to get to following fenceline track !
Thanks heaps !!!!

Logging this as a note and not a DNF because I didn't quite go far enough along the fence line to actually have a look. I got as far as the stream and then decided to turn back and I'll bash my way the rest of the way another day, and maybe take the kids for a bit of an adventure.
After finding the nearby Rocky Situation we continued along the trail looking for another pathway to the west. Initially missed the correct path along the fence line and eventually came to another. Followed this pleasant little walkway through some peaceful native bush eventually ending up at Hatties Logging Camp, Parrots Creek (established 1837). Looks like some kids have been having some fun creating a neat little hideaway. To difficult to continue through this part of the bush over to stumpy so we retreated. Once back near Rocky Situation we spied the correct path. Not so pleasant this one. Overgrown with plenty of gorse & pampas grass. Eventually made it through and Kiwiscot made a quick find. Now to turn about and head out. We all ended up with a few cuts and scratches but I guess that is all part of the fun...... TFTC
Found yay!. nice design ... logbook a bit damp but able to write. Can tell that not many people come up this far lol.. plenty of bstard grass and Gorse too ..
Followed the fenceline & found the cache-enjoy these rather challenging caches-lots of scratches but great fun-tftc
Came from "Rocky Situation" to get to this one and having seen how to get here from the cache page we had a fun adventure through the bush. GPS died about 30m away from the cache but figured out how it was going to be hidden. Thanks for the fun today
Found it after an interesting walk though the bush.
Log was a little wet but still seemed to write ok.

I had to visit Silverdale today to do a bit of shopping and noticed that there were one or six caches to do out that way. Now I just couldn't leave them alone, now could I.
After the last cache, A Rocky Situation, it was on up the track. Boy, talk about slippery mud, especially as I initially missed the turnoff to the GZ and had walked further up the very muddy, slippery track. I then noticed I was getting further away from the cache and so turned around and came back down the track very carefully. Finally noticed the turnoff and it was off to the cache.
Cheers for the cache.

Tillygeorge13 found this one whilst I was looking in other places. We like previous finders think this should be a terrain 3 as it is very overgrown. TFTC.

Did this one after finding 'a rocky situation' a bit further down. Glad I had my tramping boots in the back as it was pretty muddy and slippery getting to GZ. This one was a real bush-bash so was glad of arm and leg cover with all the cutty grass around. Definitely agree with the previous finder as to the terrain rating. Would have to score at least a 3. Great fun and a good hide. Gets a favourite point also. TFTC.
This came in at 7:30pm, I had been caching most of the day and was still in the mood for more so I shot of for 2 possible FTF's, this one and 'are you fit...when I get around tuit' I just missed out on that one by 40 mins but I got this one at 10:14pm after finding 'A rocky situation' as well. Thanks so much for the excellent cache container too! Although I have to query the terrain rating, I would say it deserves a 3 or 3.5, see what others think when they try getting here!! Heh heh heh.
