Lots of rocks to choose from but the one we eventually found was slightly different and at first I discounted it.'On the ball' geobuddy looked at it in a different way and what do you know, there was the cacheWe always check each others work, luckily so todayLog signed and cache replaced where we found it .Thanks Eatmorechicken Have a favourite point on us. Cheers
I headed out in the geo-car for a few caches today.Decided to hit a few on the Southside.I found your cache, Eloise: Edwin today. This is my 2605 find.Quick find.eatmorchikin, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Another great day out exploring the Mt Gravatt bushland. This time I found 10 out of 10 caches. After a walk from the top of the mountain down to the Baby Farm cache and back up again, I drove back down to Gertrude Petry Place and walked along the eastern side of the bush. Another lovely walking track and found a few caches along the way. After the long dry period and a weekend of rain this little spot was teeming with mosquitoes. Unfortunately it took me quite a while to find the cache as there was a lot of options that fit the clue. After trying all the visible ones I started poking around with a stick and eventually found a few hidden ones and finally a likely suspect was uncovered and moved to reveal the cache. I quickly signed the log and headed back up the hill away from the mosquitoes. Thanks for the cache eatmorchikin and for taking me on a lovely walk around Mt Gravatt today!
Today we walked all over Mt Gravatt on all the different trails, up and down many hills finding all the caches. What awesome views of the surrounding city and city areas. TFTC
Such a great place to take a walk and there is a lot of revegetation going on around here so i dodged all of that and at GZ i used the hint to spot the cache on my second lap. I also see the kids have been enjoying this spot. Thanks for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy

Thank you very much for luring us here as well as for hiding and maintaining the cache !....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC . We're new to Geocaching so this to a little while. Great location! Activity log helped.
Having dropped my son to school so he could work on some project or another, I took the opportunity to grab some exercise on the south side of the river with a quick walk up Mt Gravatt.
This was the first cache on the walk. The volunteers and council have been very busy replanting trees here. A nice quicvk find in amobgst all the ewn seedlings

TFTC! Was a great day to explore, and it was a pretty easy cache. Was fun to look around the forest whilst looking for caches!
Today, the plan was to meet E_Smiley and georode for a couple of technical tree climbs in Mount Gravatt, and hope that the rains held off in between our climbs.
Then towards late morning, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I took a walk around Mount Gravatt Outlook Reserve, focusing on the walking trails that circled around the summit.
It was quite the descent (and ascent) across the nearby creek crossing in order to reach GZ, but otherwise it was a nice walk around this area. The ground was quite boggy around GZ, but with thanks to the helpful hint, the cache was a reasonably quick find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Eatmorchikin and our Eloise (aged 4) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

With a spare Saturday on the horizon, and a phone call from chamad asking what I was up to, we soon hatched a plan to conquer Mt Gravatt Mountain.
A quick find at gz on a very warm day. After signing the log, all was replaced as found.
Thanks Eatmorchikin and our Eloiise for the cache.

Out today for a walk around Mt Gravatt lookout, I guess you can call it a mountain it is bigger than a hill, lol. I was joined with Willis007 and we walked around and up and down and around and up and down. It was hot in the morning part but the cloud cover and breeze in the after lunch part made it a little more enjoyable. The new macadamia gelato at the café added a new spring to the steps and hit the spot, yummm.
We found some really good caches and most were in good condition. There is something special when you find an ammo tin in the wild. In all today I got 14 caches as some I had already been too but went back to again today for the walk around. I really enjoyed the walk and the variety of caches and hides. Thanks to all the CO’s for the placements and series of caches. We signed all logs and replaced as found.
We walked down to this one and made the find fairly quickly, a hint from a previous log made it a quick find. Now to walk back up that hill.

I needed three caches starting with E for a December challenge, and lots of caches in this area fit the bill. Being a hot day, I spent just an hour walking on the lower levels of Mt Gravatt after parking in Rover St.
This was my last find for the day. After walking around the tree I spotted a likely rock and after poking under it with a stick, heard something likely to be a cache and there it was. Tftc

Catching up on some logging today, so a bit of a generic log, I'm afraid.
hatzofff decided I needed to get out. Eloise must be an 11 y.o now.
Log signed and cache replaced as found on May 24 2021. TFTC, eatmorchikin.

Gave myself an hour to climb Mount Gravatt and as a bonus pick up some caches. My walk from Gertrude Petty place, along the Federation Track, down toward Logan Rd to get Edwin and then straight up the hill took about 1:15 but only 15 mins down via the shorter return path. There were a lot of track closures as council is doing a fair bit of resurfacing and rehabilitation along that path, I didn’t see the signs the way I went, but I did notice on the way back.
I initially walked past Eat-mor-chikin as there was a council worker active at the site and walked down the hill to Edwin. I reckon that part of the mountain was more challenging on the way down than up, I have never done 50m so slowly in my life and I am not one for rapid movement. The site had a fair bit of old junk – some old drink cans of the variety that were rare even when I was young and old milk bottles. But scouring the area soon led me to the cache. The beautiful old tree was lovely too, but I didn’t have too much time to stop and enjoy the pleasant coolness of this area before going on my way.

What a gorgeous place for a cache! The trees along this path are beautiful, and Tilly, my dog and I enjoyed the walk. TFTC
Looked for quite a while b4 thinking of looking at the hint lol! TFTC. Nice hide!
Found with stairman1 and geopuppy and geodog. Nice walk out here. All good. TFTC
Checked on this cache and it is indeed there. Didn't see any of the snakes a previous finder found, despite the report that the "area is full of snakes" ..... (found one snake???). Come find Edwin, he is here for finding.
Didn't find the cache but found a baby brown snake at the location of the cache. Looks like the trees that cache is under are going to be chopped down soon. Be careful when looking here as the area is full of snakes.
Thanks for showing us the way to go to the summit. Also a great parking spot in the shade.
Out with BJA3 picking up a few smileys. We had lived in the area for 40 plus years before moving to WA, and still found some spots this afternoon we didn't know existed, all thanks to Geocaching.
Nice quick find here today. Just a heads up that some work has been going on and dirt has been tipped right up the caches hiding spot. We cleared it back and made sure the cache was well hidden.
TFTC Eatmorchikin and little Eloise!

Second last dot-day on this loop, what to do when a trip out of town is on the cards?
An early morning trip close to home to pick up two caches that I have left for days like this one.
New soil close to GZ had me worried but the cache is safe in its place.
Thank you EMC for this cache

Giant spiders and a mound of dirt.
Found a way in that wasn’t blocked by thick web and then pushed some dirt aside to uncover the cache. A bit of extra cammo is in place now but the cache can still be gotten to.

My daughter had an 8am university exam on a Saturday. No matter how many times I read that last sentence I still can’t believe it’s true and I was there. What lecturer works on a Saturday, let alone is sober enough at 8am to run an exam?
So my choices were to get up early and drive my daughter to uni, have coffee and find some caches OR go to a young kids birthday party. I don’t know what’s faster than a millisecond but that’s how long I thought about it. Why would I want a cordial in a non-recyclable, straight to landfill cup when I could have coffee in one? If I’m going to pollute the planet I at least want my tastebuds to have a phat time doing it.
It was raining heavy at times this morning so I grabbed the umbrella and walked past the scout hall. Some cars had just pulled up for an 8am start and they gave me the stink eye as I walked by under my umbrella like an ugly Mary Poppins. At least I was out of sight searching and even in the gloom found something that lit up my day a little. tftc

Enjoying a lovely day out walking & working toward our Mystery Challenge goal. TFTC
Found while out and about with Gunnie69.
With the jewels all found, we had the information we needed to get the vault open.
Thanks for the cache and hunt.
Ghostgums and I could have driven to GZ this morning, had the Mt Gravatt show not been on across the road. So, rather than paying to park anywhere near the cache area, we found somewhere close by and walked in. I have no idea what the couple of ladies at the entrance to the area were thinking as we came and went.
We got to GZ and the container was located after a brief search. Ghostgums did the official signing honours and returned the cache as found. All done, we sauntered back to the car and powered on. Extremely busy in the showgrounds, which meant the cache over the road was not to be tackled today for us.
Cheers eatmorchikin.

While muggle daughter and husband looked to buy a car at the nearby sales yards I decided to walk up and around Mt Gravatt for exercise. As usual I allowed caches to determine the trail and took my time enjoying the bushland. I eventually returned home to muggle daughter's place on Invermore Street after walking just over 10 km with a total ascent/descent of 333m over a 5 hour period. At least 2hrs of this time was looking for caches ie going around in circles - lol.

After walking up and down the hill we decided to jump in the car and park a little closer to this one. Turns out we could have got a lot closer than our Wishart Rd Park. At least I met my step goal for the day. KerriMG made a quick find here as I was searching on the wrong side.
Another day of caching and haven't really been keen to cache on the Mountain (all the ups and downs) but as this area is not far from home, I decided to bite the bullet and find me some caches.
This was an easy one once I put my phone away and searched logically. Bush turkey style was not necessary here. SL then returned as found. Took the TB to move along.

It was a pleasant surprise to find another scout den here-what an awesome spot for them to be based! Having been involved with the scouting movement for some years, we feel some sort of affinity there. This was a quick find in the obvious place even though my new phone (I think this was only the first or second time we've used it to find a geocache) GPS wasn't working at all well today.
Thanks for another fine cache in this series- we are getting through them bit by bit! We left a TB behind.

A nice December morning was spent riding Merida around the Toohey and My Gravatt trails, getting exercise and collecting smilies along the way.
Followed the track, which seemed fairly legit, and parked nearby this one. Made a quick grab before heading up the hill for a couple of others.

A quick find here, with (surprisingly) no muggles about on trails, despite it being the first sunny Saturday morning in ages. Having worked my way across from the north side the hill, this is the point where I turned back and headed back up the slope to find a few more caches. Thanks for this one, eatmorchikin and Eloise.
Had to make a return trip to this one, muggle on the balcony first time around. Follow the hint, and you will be set. TFTC.
Walking on from the last geocache, it was a lovely downhill Trail to get to this one. At GZ it looks like the council keep the grass around here mowed , so today the grass was quite short. It was a quick find, we signed the log and then continued on our way. We are loving all the geocaches you have placed along the trails on this mountain. Thanks

Yes, Mrs EMC is doing a maintenance run on the mountain tonight. Started with this one. Has given the AOK.
Took the kids for a walk up the mountain this afternoon so decided to do some cache maintenance. Replaced this ones log. All is good. Nice and dry. Ready to be found!
Logging a TB visit for all the TBs we bought back from the Alice Springs event with us. This will bring them all to Brisbane. Some TBs have done the 7000 km circuit with us from Brisbane and back!
