OCW Ironbark and had the opportunity to visit the Endangered Species Power Trail.Until now I wasn't aware of these species being endangered.Thank you so much [SpecimenX](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?u=specimenX) & [Rapidlywild](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?u=Rapidlywild) for placing these caches and many thanks to [DARKSIDEDAN](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?id=11518384) for maintaining them.
Alot of time and effort was invested into placing this series and I am glad to see that so many people have enjoyed it. After being in play for 10 years, the ownership was trasnferred over to DSD to keep the trail alive, thanks DSD. Learnt alot of new things also during the creation of this series about all the different endangered animals, its sad really.
Catching up on some late logs after attending the Geobash Mega in Canberra. Starting to head home now over the next few days and picking some up along the way.Stopped of here and another find in this awesome series. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
This series is the linchpin of my 200 in 24 hours challenge. I've wanted to get it for a while and decided it would work well as the basis to try and meet the 200 goal. Thanks for all the caches you place - it's a huge effort. I struggle to get out and maintain a few dozen.

This was a quick find. TFTC!
We decided to grab a couple of caches before the close of 2022. We aimed to find most of the caches on the Benangaroo road and then made our way to the Endangered Species Power Trail. We did a bit of planning beforehand as we have two young ones in the car and therefore time is somewhat limited before they start complaining. We were also aiming to reach 365 caches for the year and we managed to reach our goal. We found most of the caches on our list and enjoyed the mostly quiet road. Thanks to all who created these caches for us to find!

It was very wet underfoot and very overgrown. Some containers were found out in the open and I surprised they didn't float away. I suspect some others have. There were also a number that had wet logs and could not be signed. Overall, it was a fun morning in a beautiful area. Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache Spaceman and Rabbits Wild, found in good condition, didn't find the previous one. Found crashing the bike was quicker than applying the brakes. regards Victourer

Today’s adventures out and about picking up some caches around Bookham and surrounds with Marmaduke Rothschild. An epic day planned before our starts to shrink once again with lockdowns closing in around us.
And before the next lot of rain hits us. With winter nearly over I’m sure looking forward to spring and longer days of warmth and sunshine ️.
All logs in good condition unless otherwise noted.
Thanks to COs for placing and maintaining these caches.

The family is on the coast enjoying the school holidays so I decided to have the long weekend in the Yass-Tumut district to increase my numbers for the year. The first challenge was the Threatend Species Trail so I took the blue road grader down this road to try and crack 100 for the day.
The road was very busy (maybe long weekend not such a great idea), parking was mixed, the grass was very long and the Caches do need a little TLC. In the end I found 89 caches had 12 DNFs and 2 I just couldn't really look for. In the end I also only found four of the clues for the puzzle so that was not solved either

Walked straight past this one but found quickly enough

Found it. Hmmm beginning to wonder about previous finders.. another very poorly hidden cache
I was driving to Canberra on a hot and smokey day. Jugiong was too busy but Bookham was much quieter so I stopped here instead for lunch and tea,
Before that I did about 10 caches in this endangered species trail.
All caches attempted were in good condition Didn't attempt#10 owing to recent dnf's
Many thanks for the series.

Found on a quick side trip to get a few more in this series. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Said goodbye to Di Morgan who are heading further South as we head North and Home. Today was the Endangered Species trail hopefully to be able grab them all, while letting the wife get access to watch the Canberra Raiders on the Phone. (Don't ask, today they did not win) Also picking up the outgoing and incoming where we can.

On my way to the Clearwaters Mega Event in Queanbeyan! I found the first 5 of this series a few years back on my way home from a trip to Canberra. We didn't have time to complete and series then and that didn't change today.
I did a lot of it, the weather was spectacular. Apart from a few dead wombats, thing went well. I was able to pick up find number 12,000 during my short run today too! Please excuse the copy and paste logs, it's going to be a big weekend! Thanks for the cache, and the series Rapidlywild & specimenX.

Only managed 25 of this series on our way to Canberra. It was too hot for any more. Loved what we found using your accurate accurate co-ordinates.

A plan was hatched in the last week with TikvaNZ to finally get out to Bookham and do the Endangered Species trail. It has been a long time coming for me and I had several half-hearted attempts over the last few years to get organized enough to do it. But now it is happening! We will attempting to do it all in one go, but no judgement if we have to come back to finish it off another day. Unless otherwise noted, all caches were found easily, in accordance with the hint and in good condition.
For this cache: all good. Lovely and green right at this point
Thanks specimenX for the cache and the fun!

AngelG27 and I had talked about doing this series for well over a year, prefering to wait for the warmer months and longer days, but avoiding the peak of summer. Everything lined up at relatively short notice to do them today. We departed my place just before 7am, and I was dropped home again just before 3pm. From #001 to #110 took just under 4.5 hours. Most were easily and quickly found. A few were found out in the open. We replaced the lid for one. Some had been replaced by the previous finders. We did DNF 4 but re-searched on our return and found two of them, leaving only two unfound. We didn't find three of the letters, but hadn't looked in the first few caches. Fortunately we had enough to easily determine where the final was. It was a very pleasant day out and the area was looking very green. TFTC and series.

#3310 Today we attempted the first 22 of this series with 20 finds and 2 dnfs before moving on to explore other areas. Must say this is a very pretty valley travel down and learning a bit about each endangered species through caches is a good concept to help raise awareness. Some finds were quick and others took some searching. Finding a safe area to park was tricky at times but it was a very quiet road for most part. TFTC specimenX & Rapidlywild.
This series has been on our radar for some time, and we have passed by a number of times, always with something important on the agenda meaning we were unable to stop.
This time we left Tumut and made the short journey to Jugiong. A wonderful camp place with facilities and a few caches, but within striking distance of this series.
And what a great series it was. Initially the landscape was somewhat scrubby, but the further we got into the trail the more it opened up into farming country. But oh so dry!
Striking the river we saw it as almost an anomaly in the accompanying countryside. But we particularly enjoyed following it and saw a number of campers in the seemingly remote area.
Most of the caches were nice quick finds, but we did struggle with a few and also ended up with a few DNFs.
Great to see good-sized caches for such a large series.
Our apologies for the generic log, but we really did enjoy the series and the drive through the countryside.

Sorry for the generic log - ACTchil and I drove to Cootamundra to visit my family there and we decided we would give this series a hit on the way, we left quite early in the morning and decided to start at #92 to # 61 then turned back to #110 after realising we missed the fork in the road we completed them and back to finish the rest as we have wanted to do this series for a while. tftc SpecimenX & Rapidlywild.
went out with Darzee Di and Banjo the geohound to get this ES series which we have been meaning to do for some time. What a great series and beautiful countryside. tftc Rapidlywild and SpecimenX
A cute and fun series, thanks guys Only my initials are in the book to save space.
What a nice little get away.....I needed some R&R and so decided to head across the border from SA to Victoria and then NSW to attend the OzGeoMuster Mega with friends.
I mainly hung out with the lovely micaparamedic and the fabulous ChooknChunk and I also enjoyed many happy moments with others.
Some of the stand out moments included: camping in Belanglo State Forest and doing a night cache at 1am; 4wding and having water over the car bonnet; sitting around and chatting/chilling; sleeping loads; relaxing continuously and then watching some fab fireworks (thanks Team Crackers), and all in all a much needed break. Gary and I slowly made our way back to Bendigo before heading back to Adelaide.
Thanks so much for the cache specimenX!

After a long caching day and a very long week we decided to do a few of this series. We enjoyed the few that we did and will definitely return to finish the rest. Thanks for an interesting series.
Found with Gonefishen and Zobo04. We signed GAZ so as to not take uo space and because it was quicker. We found all the caches bar four and they have had DNF's put on them. Many thanks for the series.

Today was going to be an absolute scorcher with temperatures of 30+ expected so we decided to go caching again and the goal today was the endanged species series, however we were unable to finish the endanged species mystery we only had 9 of the 10 numbers found. This was find #100 of our total of 112 finds consisting of 111 traditionals 1 Mystery and 1 DNF.
Thanks specimenX & Rapidlywild for placing this series we started at the last one and worked our way back to bookem before returning to our Yass campsite.
Grand Cache count = 667 total consisting of 634 Traditionals, 18 Multi, 6 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual and 3 Event.

With another early start we left Yass and headed south to attack the Endangered Species series in the company of Na'wal and DAB on our 3 day camping trip up north. With the weather being ideal, we thoroughly enjoyed our caching day as we headed down Childowla Rd towards the picturesque journey along the river where all but one cache was signed as The DNT.
Thanks so much specimenX & Rapidlywild for the placement of this excellent series for us and others to enjoy

DAB, the Tritonz and myself were a long way from home for a caching trip. We were up at the crack of dawn again for another big day of caching (signing our logs as The DNT) after camping the night before (well some of us did as it was a bit wet and some others were a little soft A series that had some great scenery further into it. We had one DNF and most of series was quickly found. Never heard of this animal before but sounds like an interesting breed. Signed and replaced as found.

I needed to get a hit of caches to make 500 for the mega at Alexandra. So along with Kittykatch we went out to do some of this series. It was a beautiful day and while I would like to put individual comments there are too many to do that. So will copy and paste. Great idea for a series and interesting names. Some I have never heard of. The drive took us to the Murrumbidgee which looked lovely. TFTC
We weren't afraid of this fruit-eating critter so (in contrast to some other caches) there was no need to rush this one.
What a day ! we did not know till this morning that this was gunna happen but a 3 hr drive a great brekkie at Binalong and onto the trail , to get to our 5000 target , we had one DNF and easy finds on the rest, made the beer taste really good on returning to Binalong !! we were hitting each cache in between 2 to 3 minute intervals , we Routers do like a good trail, huge thanx to the cache placers for your work.

After a great weekend in Canberra with some very good friends and there kids who we geocached with In Canberra. On the way home the geo wife, and myself decided to have a go at this awesome power trail Thankyou so much for all your hard work and you hours of putting these here . For all us geocachers to enjoy . Such a beautiful road , along here really really beautiful landscapes. We took it in turns racing out of the car to see who could find it first and sign the log and race back to the car and on to the next one
We arrived in Yass later than we hoped so found some accomodation for the night. Had a look on the map and noticed this trail so thought we would get some done this afternoon and maybe a few more in the morining on our way out of town. The logs will be mainly generic and we will let you know on the last cache we end up doing, just how we went.
I was heading up to Canberra for the weekend, and managed to leave Gundagai at 6.30 so had to to grab 30 of these as a quick drive by, pretty much, park see where car GPS was pointing, a quick hunt, sign, and off to the next one, thanks for the caches.
A one-week roadtrip from Melbourne, picking up CT_ZA in Sydney, and then going to the Gold Coast, resulted in 4500km of caching, sightseeing and fun.
After the first night's rest nearby I thought I would start the day with some of this series, rather than heading north immediately. I had found a few them already during a previous visit. This time I cached for about 90 minutes and found another 32 caches (from #4 to #35). I missed #20 on my initial run as a muggle farmer was parked right at GZ, but when I returned a little later the coast was clear.
This civet looks more aggro than a cacher logging a DNF.
Thanks for the series, Rapidlywild & specimenX.

I loved the concept! Thanks for this work and cache trail and all the info. Getting off the highway and caching does take us odd and interesting places and landscapes. No shortage of hidy holes along here.
Finally an opportunity to hit the Endangered Species trail. Got an early start and travelled down the Hume to Bookham on a day of showers on Anzac Day 2017.
Had great success, knocking over more than half of the hides today. After reaching 60 finds, I was trashed, the car was trashed and I was soaked and out of food and drink, so decided to call it quits as soon as I had a DNF.
Most caches were easily found, with mainly excellent coords making it so.

Lets see how the trail goes. How many would I find? A late start, but the day looked promising. Final details posted at the last cache (of the day). Great views, no wiggly sticks but plenty of spiders, grasshoppers, sheep, cows and the odd roo and wallaby. Oh, llamas as well. Got into the habit of waving to passing muggles, they all wave regardless. Noticed some caches weren't rehiden that well, maybe the weather, or maybe just someone a little slack. Had fun regarless, which was the important thing. TNLNSL TFTC
Suscoe returned today to complete this trail after our visit last weekend.
It was going to be a 38 degree day out here and so we started very early.
Sunny but with a pleasant wind this morning kept the temperature around the low to mid 20's.
We enjoyed the caches again on this run down the numbers from 1 to 60.
Fairly quiet today, we saw lizards, cows, cockies, sheep and millions of grasshoppers. Oh and did we mention the millions of grasshoppers????????????
Quick finds along the trip and all caches in good condition.
Thanks to Rapidlywild and specimenX for the excellent work done in creating this series.
A most enjoyable way to spend a few hours on a Saturday morning.

Thanks for an awesome series in amazing surrounding landscapes. Adding a theme like endangered species made it all the more informative. I had time to attempt the first 60 before I left badsett and miltsy92 for the 4 hour drive back to work on Australia Day. Came across a lot of cicadas and beetles and a lot of long grass and thorns. Thank goodness we started early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day. TFTC.
Tftc,
So today was a mission. A mission to complete the Endangered Species Powertrail in Bookham. I dragged Azzepious along with an early morning start. We made the journey down to Bookham, grabbing a couple of caches along the way before starting the trail. Along the way we encountered spiders, snakes, kangaroos, sheep, cows, alpacas and horses. At one stage we were held up behind a flock of sheep. We were treated to some wonderful views. We better planning we would have brought a picnic to have down by the river.
My caching partner Azzepious suffered a bruised heel and a few ant bites. His limping and screams of pain slowed us down but we pushed through to the end. We emerged victorious back into Bookham to find the puzzle cache, capping off the trail.
Thanks to the COs for creating this wonderful trail!

#13 of the day.
MrSmith00 and myself are on a mission for 100 caches in a day. Bookham certainly seems like the place to do it.
Thanks to all who placed these caches and sorry for the copy place logs.
