Our original plan was to cache in Milldale, but we never quite made it there. Instead we got distracted on the Orewa side of the motorway and also partook in cake and coffee at a nearby cafe! However, here we decided to start with the easier cache and had a nice stroll to GZ to collect Zorks cache, was visible from the path, so we tucked in it a little more. next stop, Brett and Barb! TFTC!
**21,847**Gosh it is good to finally get this ok cache ticked off. We are not sure how it has taken us so long to finally complete the caches in this area but it seems today was to be the day and finally Zorks cache has been signed off. TFTC
I felt a bit silly driving to the trails here. I'd do a cache, then drive only a few hundred metres, get out, find another cache, then move the car again and repeat. It was only early afternoon but I just didn't fancy walking from the first cache to the end and back. It turned out I walked 11.5km today in the end even with my driving and stopping. This was a quick find here as I spotted something like the hint straight away. As you say nice to find a bigger cache. I took the travel bug to move him along. Thanks for all your cache placements G_2
We came here to drop off a lovely travel bug named Oakie. Luckily there were no muggles around because we clambered around in the bush for a while before the youngest spotted it - we'd walked right gone right past it! Good camo and good size
Great size cache! Didn't really understand hint but found in the obvious place! SL TNLN TFTC
GPS kept pointing me away from paths I blindly followed. After some futile searching I returned then spotted the cache. Should have listened to hint after all. Tftc
I came to New Zealand with my wife on honeymoon
It is hard to log all the caches, I found here in New Zealand, so excuse my mass log for caches around Orewa, please
At first i started with caches around Estuary Cycleway, then to Red Beach, Hatfield´s Beach, Millwater and Silverdale. Some of the caches are now disabled as i can see, and some of them were disabled, but were on place.
After consulting with owner I made maintanance on some of disabled and missing caches.
I found many really nice caches...it was awesome, but i think, that some of them (for example Bison caches) have too low D/T combos...but owners are really helpful, so I managed to find each of them. I usually borrowed bike from my brother in law and then in the early morning, or in evening went geocaching. I really liked that routine. So I´m really thankful for all the caches on/near Estuary
I need to write here, that I really like nature in NZ...its a big difference between Europe :/
So – TFTC, guys, and especially The Wonder Stuff for placing and G-2 for placing and hints...and sry for mistakes in my poor English...have a nice day(s) there and u should come to find some caches here in Slovak Republic

Too much overthinking on my part but we got there in the end! Eight year just told me I need to learn to think like her Lovely Saturday afternoon, TFTC
We won a cache container with some great toys in it from a cache get-together many moons ago. It was set up and raffled off by Zork and so we placed our first cache. We travel a lot, so have kept the number of caches we have placed to a manageable 7!! We try to keep them reasonable size so SWAG will fit in for the kids to find. We are forever amazed by the number you have G-2. We dropped off a TB here. TFTC
M24: Decent sized cache alright! Saw it in sight as soon as I got there, nice and easy to find, log all good and signed. TFTC.
Yessss, finally a decent sized cache indeed! Those pesky micros in the bush always frustrate me, so really enjoyed finding this one in the first place I checked. Some giggles were heard as I finished signing the log, so QUICK - Replace as found and run! TFTC G-2!
A beautiful, sunny day enticed me to head outside on a caching trip where I ended up walking around Orewa, Millwater and Silverdale for 8 hours between 11:30am and 7:30pm! In total I made 40 finds including 30 traditional's and 10 AL's... Thanks very much to all CO's who placed caches around this lovely area!

Great cach for geo kids and beginners.
Had 20 minutes spare during lunch so I grabbed a couple of cachs.
Thanks G-2 all your cachs are different and unique.
Thanks for all the work you put into them.

Found the cache, because let's face it it is big enough. Lost the geohound in the flax.
There was a pug dog getting a walk which I ended up overtaking then passing etc. Each time it came level with me it would refuse to go further until I gave it a pat and this game went on for several caches, this included. I went bush for no reason before retreating back to the path and finding it as it should be.
Onto the main business of the day, the largest of two loops which encompassed all the caches I never completed last time I was in the area. The rain and drizzle was steady for most of it and only really came to any real effect when I was at the point furthest from the car, of course!!
Another weekend day with mrs c out of town and just some modest local-ish goals to achieve. I had intended to do most of my outstanding Millwater/Orewa caches but a persistent drizzle and then a proper spell of rain meant that it was just Millwater. The afternoon was all about collected a TB that had been located amongst a swag-haul dumped in a park near Manakau City, facilitated by a UK cacher on FB. Quite the mission but I rescued the TB and declined the accompanying swag (stolen goods probably)

Enjoying our walk around all these nice little trails this afternoon good to make a quick find here of this nice sized cache.Didnt have to venture off the path.
We passed by here on a quick dog walk before heading off to see family for dinner. Nice to see all these little bush walks in the area.tftc
Just landed in Auckland after a very long and tiring flight stopped off for a few caches on our way to Kerikeri. Quick easy find here. TFTC
I don’t have this one ciara1blue does but I took the photo. We went searching together worth the dead legs
Made a fist of it by over thinking the hide. Of Course it was exactly where the CO said it would be. T4tc
The cache was nicely tucked away but easily spotted.
We took advance of the good sized container by dropping off a trackable to continue its journey.

Decided on a trip to Millwater this morning to grab a bunch of caches to qualify for a few more Hidden Creatures Souvenirs...Bit slushy getting to GZ but nice quick find there. TFTC
Out with SandersonHunters as they reached their 250. Nice place to walk. Easy find. Thanks G-2.
Nice easy find, perfect for miss 3. Happy to see a good sized geocache. Thanks!
heading along after a breakfast near by .. intuatively find out walking route by following a line of caches that were different from the ones we intended on accout of finding a little track next to where we parked the car... this location just jumped right into our hands.. bit of a surpise given the CO's rep... no Tbs at home just the usual swag and water but log dry.
#9520. A pleasant walk in Silverdale / Orewa on a Saturday morning. There were a few people walking this trail too. Fortunately, GZ itself was pretty quiet when we visited. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Enjoyed the bit of sun today for some geocaching and a stroll around the area. Nice camo. TFTC
As it was too nice to be indoors I was out for the day with Jag50 and Aiden29. The Jags had done this one so headed home and Aiden and I decided to do a few more. A nice size cache right where we thought it would be
Enjoying the sunshine while it lasts, so out caching in the area with Jag50 and merlot58. Found exactly where we thought the cache would be. I added the little cat toy I found earlier in the day to keep Odie the dog toy company.
Nice and easy to find thanks to the clear hint. Found exactly where we discussed it would probably be on our approach and bingo! TNLNSL, all good here and in good condition, thanks for the cache and maintenance, nice to have so many to collect in this neighbourhood, and a nice park to walk around in.
I was going to try to bash over here from the last cache, but thought better of it. I moved my car to a close spot and got this one in no time. Took: Landsharkz ‘09 – The Pearly Depths Geocoin. TFTC.
Out and about spending a few hours in the glorious sunshine tracking down some cache placements today. After completing the formalities and otherwise being inspired by Brett and Barb I followed the trail around to here. But I must have been lost in my thoughts as I well overshoot GZ and had to backtrack to it. Once there the cache was found in the very first spot I checked. I made sure to leave a geocoin here as a fitting tribute. Cheers for the smiley!
Watched Millwater just start to spring up one day. This is the first time I've stopped by though. Picked up a couple caches around the immediate area, but will need to come back to get the rest. TFTC
Lovely day to be out riding, Enjoyed this little bit of bush before heading back out onthe roads. TFTC
Out of trees and back onto the path to get here. Nice and quiet here and dropped off a trackable before continuing on my way. TFTC
Stopped here for some lunch while out working and low and behold a Zork cache. We took the little car and left Odie
As it was a nice day we took our daughter with us for the driving practice and left early to squeeze in a cache or 3 before dog agility training. This was our second stop, GAR having found it before I even got anywhere nearby due to him and daughter going on ahead to stop the dogs from going mad waiting for me to fit the stopper back on the last cache and rehide it. Definitely a decent size! Although the coin I was going to drop here must have stayed in the car by mistake. Thanks G--2. Nicepaths around here. maybe one more before we have to turn back?
Ha, my iPhone had me in the river for this one, but fortunately that's not the case. Pleasant little area, I can hear a cock crowing nearby.

Walked around the perimeter of this little lake, co-ords spot on, starting to loose light now but it its still warm and I'm running around in shorts a t. Having heaps of fun and I haven't a full on caching day for ages! (well last Sunday actually) Gotta keep that going.
Lovely day out with Arted123, the kid and the dog. Cheers for taking the time to place this cache!

I agree: finally a decent size cache! Found it after this mornings rain had been replaced by clear and sunny sky. TFTC!
Unable to locate cache at spot our phone GPS was indicating. Expanded search and soon had cache in hand. Another find for Kiwiscot. She is leaving Scotty & Kiwi in her wake today. TFTC
We had a bit of business to attend to over this way, so we combined that with our daily cache find. This one looked like it should be quick and easy, and it didn't disappoint. This area is growing fast! Nice to see these new recreation areas. Thanks.
I need a few caches for a challenge that I have set for myself this year which effectively working my way towards a challenge down Wellington way, why do I do it to myself???
So while in the area for a work related matter and needing to get back south for an appointment I decided to grab these rather than stop for lunch to fill my quota,
This was the second of the three and a nice quiet area that has changed much in the past 4 years since caching first brought me over this way.
While I'm sure that we will miss ZORk around auckland I'm looking forward to his cache placements around Taranaki
THanks for the walk, THanks for the cache

Out picking up some more caches in this area - not quite sure about the hint, however log book signed and on to the next. TFTC
Lovely morning to enjoy a walk on this new pathway. Beautiful spot and a nice easy cache too. .
Thought we were going swimming for this one. Found no snail but recovered a slug attached to an awesome plane.
I had to visit Silverdale today to do a bit of shopping and noticed that there were one or six caches to do out that way. Now I just couldn't leave them alone, now could I.
I remember doing this fantastic walk before and it is nice to come back. It is just as well I didn't bring a letter with as I could find a slot to put it in.
Cheers for the cache.

I borrowed a bike today to cache a little further away. Quick find. TFTC. It is a decent size. TNLN. TFTC.

Oh no not flax I thought when I started looking. I was pleasantly surprised when I finally found it.
Wasn't liking the look of all that wet flax, but I knew it was a G2 so not too worried.

Am surprised Zork hasn't found it yet. Maybe busy accumulating goodies to place inside. A nice easy find. TFTC.

After revisiting the Stillwater/Okura Bush trail this afternoon, I decided to stop by these recent caches. A nice easy find here, TFTC!
Dropped off a couple of TBs (perhaps for Zork?)
Dropped off a couple of TBs (perhaps for Zork?)
Saw these were in the area where I was finishing work for the day so headed off to find Cretti arriving too. Agreed to try for some joint FTF's - success on the first attempt
I saw these new caches listed when I was at work today and considered popping out at lunch for an attempted FTF grab, I ran out of time then got caught up with a meeting in Auckland until 4:30pm. Heading back to the Shore through the traffic I decided to carry on driving North on my way home. Thinking that if sliesche had been busy too then there might still be a chance to FTF these.
On nearing the caches I refreshed the logs and saw I was still possibly in with a chance. The excitement kicked in. With three caches to choose from and with the time nearing 5:15pm I knew there would be a chance of a rush or a competitive FTF effort here. I wasn't sure which of the three caches to tackle first.
The local detour in place forced me to approach from the east and so it kind of made sense to tackle them from right to left. I parked up and found someone also just parking, we exchanged glances and I knew that she was there for the same reason... 'I think we might be here for the same thing?' I suggested... I didn't get a confused response so I carried on... 'Shall we go for a joint FTF?' - that's how you do it folks.
Smiles all round and agreement to tackle them together we headed out to try to find the first of the possible FTFs.
This one had us both bush bashing. The GPS had us pushing through some of the undergrowth and to a clearing in the bush behind the main flaxes etc. both of our GPS units were telling us this. Turned out not to be necessary to trample the vegetation.
This is indeed a nice sized cache and were delighted to find that Sliesche and FMZ had not yet been there. - wow! My first ever successful FTF, i have tried before but this was my very first.
Thanks Glyn for the cache.
