fter a great Pi Day of caching around Bobland AnyMules and I planned to come cache out the area around the Bobdome. Having stumbled with the latest BFE at Pi night we had since seen the error of our ways and this was put on the list. Of course Mrs. SA Sewer Rat wanted to come and achieve Reel Nirvana again. Doctor Owl just wanted some exercise. So the four of us decided to meet at the Owlery for a fabulous day of BFE cache hunting.
On the way to Bobland the others wanted me to do a little climbing for a Zee cache so after that we called in here to stretch the legs and make a few finds.
Oh dear. If only I had read a few previous logs first then I would have brought a new log and container from the car which was parked some distance away over the other side of the river. Then again after finding the base only and seeing the lid down the hole we read the logs. How many needs maintenance does it take for the C.O. to take action. [?] So the 'log' is now a leaf and another needs maintenance log added by AnyMules. Thanks for the walk in a nice area Fielke07.

Found the base of the container next to a chopped down tree. Saw the kid as photographed by the previous person way down in the hole.
Signed a leaf and added it to the container and covered with some camo.
Thanks for the cache Fielke07. Found on 17 Mar 2017 at 11:26 am. Find #4151.

We came for look and a cache.
Alas all we could find was the base of the cache.

Could the CO please check on this cache. TFTC

Nice spot for a cache, but the lid has fallen down a tree trunk and the contents lost. Presumably during the recent floods.
This cache isn't gone, but almost.
Found the empty container in what was probably it's original location but empty and without the lid. Could see the lid at the bottom of hollow!
Signed the container
Cheers & TFTC Fielke07

Took a while to find this one as it was difficult to see without poking around in those spider-infested holes. Found eventually and this was to be number 3 of 3 for today with my daughter. Took Mummy Figure, left Spider. Cheers.
Went for the sort walk here, to collect the last of this set.
Alas cannot find amongst the trunk graveyard... Used up a PAF, which only confirmed it is here!
A bit more searching and about to give up, as had the hills waiting, when I looked a bit deeper where we had looked before and found the cache.
There is no logbook, just the stash note which we lsigned. Sorry, but the car was too far away to grab another logbook from as on a tight schedule.
Re-hid in same spot.

Another pleasant walk to this one. We were about to chuck it in but the determined Hurtle scurried a bit more and found
Thanks to Fielke07 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
Unfortunately this container was found out in the open, full of water with bits and pieces of the contents pretty much all over the place. Sorry, I didn't have anything to dry the container with and I wasn't quite sure where to put it back. Hopefully Fielke07 can swing past and get it happening again...
This area is different from the last time I was here... more exposed I think.

I was surprised to find the Torrens in full flow today [:o]
So I wandered past this cache on me stroll through the expansive park lands to find a handy crossing
I also found a handy cache a bit upstream from the crossing.
On me return stroll, I popped into the area of the 'tree massacre' [:o]
A poke around the remains of the trees revealed why they had been chopped down.
They were all very, very, very hollow [:o]
That many hollows could hide a cache
So I peered.
And peered.
And peered some more for good measure
Damn the peering !! [:o]
I poked instead
And there was the cache [^]
A bit exposed, but not muggled [^]
With the logbook found and inscribed,
I replaced the cache out of sight
[blue]The summer sun is fading as the year grows old,
and darker days are drawing near,
the winter winds will be much colder,
now you're not here.
I watch the birds fly south across the autumn sky
and one by one they disappear
I wish that I was flying with them,
now you're not here !! [/blue]
TFTC with a song in me head !!

Realised we were on the wrong side of the river for this one when we got there. Luckily there's a fun rock bridge cross.
My twelfth find for the evening, on a caching run with Moneydork while he's in town! The evening consisted of many caches, and a single juvenile koala who was very shy.
We spent the evening cleaning out what remained of the north eastern suburbs along both sides of the Torrens, with only one DNF. We spent ages searching for this in the dark before the M$ mini sun moved over the hide at the right angle. TFTC Fielke07!

Couldn't have picked a better day to visit this area of the park and really enjoyed our walk around here [^].
Searched around for awhile, before returning to where we started to make the find . TNLNSL.
Thanks Fielke07, Fielkj & Freddo.

Our second find on our stroll in Linear Park today. Took much longer than anticipated even with the hint, but got there eventually. Some kids were fishing in the river nearby, probably wondering what we were looking at so intently Took Geocoin LNSL TFTC
Enjoyed the walk along the river bank on a mild winters day. A few bees near GZ but did not cause any problems. tftc

Not sure if it would be here given the work that's just been done but still safe and sound:). Lots of bees, so watch out those with allergies. TNLN TFTC
Found during a foray into the north-eastern suburbs. The cache was a bit exposed, so re-hid it with a couple of strategically placed stones. Thanks for the cache Fielke07!
The bees seem to be dormant in this cool weather but we found some honeycomb with a sweet treat inside! =]
It's been bull dozed. ...but still managed to find it near where the buzzzzy bees were
The area has been pretty well cut up and was about to log a DNF but one last look found the cache. TB about to head for Europe. TFTC
A pretty little spot for a warm autumn day. Took geobaby's buggy for some off-road action to get this one. TFTC
A nice afternoon for a walk along the top end of linear park. ronso needed to clear her head after work and what better way then to go caching in a beautiful area such as this :c) we had attempted to find this cache a month or so ago, before realising we were on the wrong side of the Torrens... and unsuccessfully tried to find a way across close to GZ!! our approach this afternoon was more successful... just watch out for those bees!! TFTC!!
We were glad we didn't have to poke our head down near the bees as we originally thought. The caches was soon spotted and log stickered then we buzzed right out of there.

Found it with Ellie17 and Nutcase810. One eye was looking for the cache while the other eye was looking for snakes
It was a gorgeous Sunday morning so Darknstormy and i set out for a lovely walk along the Torrens
It was starting to get rather warm by the end of the walk but loved an excuse to get our butts of the couch and exercising
Thanks for the cache Fielke07

Furangel and I decided to make the most of a beautiful Sunday morning and take a walk along the torrens.. and what a better way to grab some caches as well
I spent a lot of my primary school days riding my back around this park so it was great to come back and walk it. Some beautiful birds around here today.. so that just topped off the day

We were waiting for a couple of teams to arrived, today was an expedition day so we decided to give it a try... we failed; after a quick look every where around no sing of this cache ...
We decided to wait for Dr Owl and found the sneaky hide with her ^^ a big beehive close by * warning for the geo kids not to go to that way

I walked straight past this, then read the hint and came back for the find. Didn't notice the bees until I was much too close for comfort! Great spot though and a nice park to boot.

Thanks for checking the status of the cache. My GPS had GZ in the middle of the water flow (trees interfering perhaps?). Will return in a couple of weekends and approach from the other side.
Thanks for the warning Nicpop but I had a look at it this afternoon and it was still there. But I understand the river was flooded so it would've been inaccessible from the east side, but there are bridges if you go further along the path. I probably should've let out a warning about it but it looks like the water should go down this week with the weather clearing up a bit. But thanks anyway.
There has been a lot of rain in Adelaide recently. We got to GZ and it looks pretty likely that this cache is rather wet! No chance of locating it today.
Google maps is not your friend on this one. Spent a long time walking on rocks in that river.
Lots of water flowing by but stepping stone still available for easy access. Hint made for a quick find.
Thanks for the cache Fielke07

Tip toed over the Torrens that was flowing fairly well after yesterdays rain a fairly quick find and were off to get some more thanks for this cache guys
This could be placed in the category of 'how did we miss that?' However, today the find was made easier by Owl's specialist clearing her for such activities as kneeling on the ground and searching properly. (OK, he didn't specifically say she could, but he did say she could return to normal activities and this was normal for her!)
Returned to this one this afternoon with Doctor Owl after our recent failure. This still took us a while ..... then Owl made the discovery!!! Thanks for the hide!!!
Yep, it's still there.
Great place. Very quiet this morning.
Thanks Fielke07 [^] Find #695

Armed with the new co-ords I ventured to this one with Dr Owl. and my mother. We found the hint right at the listed GZ but no cache!!!! We noticed while we were there dog walkers and joggers use this spot to cross the river so I hope it was just our cache blindness and the prize is still there!!
Well done for your first cache. I can't work out why I didn't get an alert for this one as it's within 5 kms of home. Anyway all in hand now. Izdog loves walking to the billabong near here and we've walked along this path many times. Quick find thanx to new co-ords and the clue. thanx

Heard a few complaints that the coordinates were off. I didn't know how else to get coordinates because I only had an iPhone and I just used "find my coordinates" off the website. But thanks to Freddo I've been able to get it up to date. Thank you every one for giving me such friendly tips and advice on my first geocache.
