After many weeks of lock down, we at last were allowed some normality. A wonderfully sunny day to grab a few Caches.
We cannot begin to say how wonderful it was to escape.
The waterline was literally at the foot of the trees we had determined to be GZ. No Gumboots or waders meant not being able to conduct a thorough search. At least we could get to the trees this time. LOL

In Drysdale for the day to visit Dad and my Step-Mum for Easter and decided to take my Dad out to show him the fun of the game. We did a small chunk of the trail on Andersons Rd (18) then it was time to go back to his place for lunch (in Central Rd). I convinced him to stop here for one more before we called it a day. A woman was fishing nearby so I crept up to the location and spotted the Cache within seconds. She was having too much fun to notice me so I quickly signed the log and put it back. TFTC OhDang! & SweetRebelTee.

GeoHubby and I dropped the GeoKids off with grandparents for a few hours and came to Drysdale to turn a few boxes into smilies. This was our second for the day. We were a bit nervous about the long grass and GeoHubby bravely, although gingerly, made his way through to the GZ. Found the cache and no snakes!

Thank you for bringing us to this spot... we're aware of the lake on the other side of Drysdale but have never taken the time to visit the waterholes.

TFTC!

Down in the area today looking for a cache to fulfil our daily addiction we stumbled across this one in a great location. We have fond memories of doing a nearby nightcache not so long ago when it was first released. Today with the sun shining and the local fisherman taking advantage of the fine weather , we made the easy find and added our names to the log.
Thanks OhDang! for the cache and the pretty location.

10-Oct-15
Visiting my daughter and grand ones for the day, we decided to go for a walk after lunch, so a quick check of the surrounding area revealed this cache waiting to be found.
As we approached GZ a geotrail in the 2ft high grass showed the way. Left the granddaughters to locate the cache. Felicity was the one to grab the box and immediately let out a scream when a spider appeared.
Thanks OhDang

2/10/2015, Found @ 9:38 PM Find # 4763.

This was one of many found on a day / night tour of the Bellarine Peninsula.
The area does look a bit eerie at night, I was prepared to attempt the nearby night cache so I found this one instead.
They stopped a little short when mowing the grass so the bit around GZ is fairly long, once I was in there it was an easy find.

Thanks to OhDang! & SweetRebeltee for placing this cache.

Found on the way back from a weekend trip to Portarlington. A reasonably quick drive-by with two fishermen nearby meaning I needed to make a stealthy retrieval. I didn't realise such a nice park was in Drysdale despite driving through many many times. tftc

23-Sep-15
As a semi regular visitor to the surf coast region I always make sure to find a bit of time to head off alone and tackle some of the multitude of quality caches down this way. Today was the day this time and so I thought I'd tackle some of the caches around Drysdale and maybe Port Arlington if I made good progress as I haven't looked out this way before.

Beautiful views here at GZ while I searched for the nicely hidden cache. I picked up the soccer ball trackable to take traveling, thanks for the cache OhDang!

Seems funny to do these ones that seem to stand alone, after all the rail trail caches. However, this one beckons and it is well worth bringing cachers to this spot. Hard to believe the water area is this large. Good coords soon got us to gz and cache was soon found. Must explore the multi another day. Thanks for this cache.

Was a bit worried about Jo Blake on this glorious day down near the waters edge. None seen though. Nice easy find. Cute trades. Thanks

Found with Sully on our trip to complete the railtrail caches down here.

Bogonghazy and I returned to finish the G2Q Trail this weekend, a year after having done the Geelong to Curlewis stretch. The temperatures were ideal for bike riding and caching, but there were times I found the oncoming strong winds quite tough, but I made it, even though I was slowing BH down. We only had 3 or 4 spits of light rain whilst we were on the trail on the Saturday, and nothing on the Sunday. The heavy rain saved itself for overnight.

We managed to collect a couple bonus caches (non G2Q) during the day, and this was one of them, with our diversion into town. BH spotted this before I was even at GZ. A delightful spot. Thanks to OhDang for the cache.

Thinking of a bike ride, but no, it is far to windy. Something with easy car access is what is needed, and this cache fits the bill. Thank you for placing this cache.

On my way to the Christmas events with 6Hinemoa2. We had a great days caching and socialising with all the other cachers from near and far. A lot of laughs and thankfully the rain didn't dampen the enthusiasm of any of us.

Just completed nearby Crystal Lake and on the way home just had to do another one as it was so close. It was also 11pm by the time we arrived here only to find Kmace parked nearby. So with 3 sets of eyes it was off to GZ thru the long grass. Thankfully it was quite chilly and we were hoping not to find anything else in the grass with us. Searched for a few minutes with torches and then the cache was found.

Thanks for the cache OhDang

This is one of the caches that sorceysal and I picked up while participating in the fabulous Christmas Smorgasbord of events yesterday.
After finishing our dinner at the Ponds we headed down here to Drysdale to tackle Crystal Lake. Then on the way home we couldn't go past this one. It was so close.
We pulled up in the dark and surveyed the water hole. It didn't look quite the same as the picture on the cache page.
We met kmace and six eyes searched for a while before it was found. Thankfully no wet feet either.
TFTC OhDang!

Found after doing the nearby night cache. Took a bit of looking and eventually sorceysal located it. Log was signed. This cache turns out to be the 1000th small cache that I have found. Thanks a lot for providing the cache for a celebration.

Thanks for the cache OhDang! et al.

Having a few hours to spare this afternoon, we decided to take the road to Drysdale and try to turn a few unopened boxes into smilies.
At the first one we were muggled out - definitely have to go there after hours. The second one, a multi, was living up to its intention of being visited at night and remained elusive in daylight.
Third time lucky: This one turned out to be a quick find in a charming environment. We even decided to make use of McLeod's seat for a few minutes to admire the water, the trees and the many water birds.

Find #362 on this beautiful afternoon. I had previously searched for this cache during the night but I have discovered I am definitely no good at night caching! My eyes don't like the dark. I grew up in this area and know it well! I played netball just over at the reserve and I was here when tuckerbag was the local supermarket. I love Drysdale! Thanks for bringing me home Smile
