I attempted this cache on a day trip to the northern Yorke Peninsula area with FeatherWaite and Bob From Elsewhere today. We were hoping to complete the Mystery and Wherigo caches in ‘The Sad Fisher’ geoart series, along with some other Multis and Mystery caches in the broader area. We also took the opportunity to grab a few incidental Traditional caches that we passed along the way.

The weather held up reasonably well. It was very windy and warm but despite the threat of rain, it held off all day for us other than a few drops here and there that was not enough to wet the roads.

Overall we had quite a productive and enjoyable day. I recorded 34 Mystery caches, 15 Wherigos, 8 Multis and 5 Traditional caches, with only one DNF. Unless otherwise stated, the caches were all found relatively easily and were in good condiion.

Unfortunately, despite a good search by the three of us, this one ended up being our only DNF for the day.

No luck today

12-Sep-20
Looked and looked with Trigger_Fish, AnyMules & Davidwazza and even after a PAF and second visit came up empty handed.

12-Sep-20
Today, the objective was *The Sad Fisher* series on the top of Yorke Peninsula. I first had a few hours to do some solo geocaching, visiting Port Arthur, Clinton and a few other points of interest on the top of Yorke Peninsula's hills. I then caught up with AnyMules, Trigger_Fish, and hevwalker, and we then spent the next 3.5 hr trying to keep motivation whilst power trailling the Sad Fisher. We then headed to Kadina for a late lunch and a few geocache visits, and then on to Wallaroo and nearby North Beach. As it got dark, we headed south-west for some 4WD along some beach tracks, and then back towards Kadina for a fast dinner. Willamulka was our final destination of the day (at least while I was with the group), before I returned back to my car at Kulpara, and made the late night drive home.

We had a pretty good look for this cache, and even returned later in the evening once we had made a PAF who gave us some better comments and hints to where it should have been. On both searching occasions, no cache was found. We suspect that this cache is missing, so a CO check is probably warranted. Thanks anyway Dazzatron for the cache placement.

Came and looked here earlier in the day but didn’t find it, even after a PAF. Did another PAF after finding some other caches and came back to look again. Still no luck here.

Found today 26/12/18 at Wallaroo!Nice easy spot for the Geotwins to retrieve and they made swaps. TFTC it’s 31 degrees so more swims today. Wallaroo is beautiful compared to lucky bay. Sad the old ferry hasn’t run for 2years.

18-Dec-18
Grabbed the cords at the lucky bay ferry. However there are TWO plaques here so you may need to reword which plaque to work off!
I’m hoping I got your clues right to find the cache on the other side at Wallaroo while we’re travelling. Otherwise I’m screwed

Another assault by a few of the Puzzled Puzzlers targeting the Yorke and surrounding areas. With the rain holding off a number of previous DNF's were turned into smileys and many others were turned into those nice yellow found icons on the map. Thanks also to the extra pair of Starfish eyes.

With information gathered some time ago on a trip to Lincoln, a few PAF's for confirmation of missing details and a FTF'er with us this was located in no time.

A few conflicting and confusing logs with this and it's sister across the way we are sure we are logging the correct one and found the original cache with the FTF entry clearly seen..

On this occassion, I am doing a generic log. I have travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular.

Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. Repairs and replacement of broken containers, new log books and adding a new plastic bag here and there have all been part of the fun we have been having.

We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. The variety of caches was interesting, some very clever, some the quick grab they were designed to be.

My sincere thanks to Muff1 for providing me with the opportunity to join them on this geocaching holiday.

A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.

No problems for us today. It was raining and windy here but the best of both worlds - no muggles, there are toilets and a cache. Speedmistress parked in a top place, no puddles outside the door. Muggle Vicky, Mr muff1 Speedmistress and myself took the toilet option first. As I was out first I headed to GZ and prayed to the gods and with the assistance of a branch manage to capture the cache container.

First we must appologise for the generic logs.

We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.

We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.

When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

Hi there Dazzatron.

We found your cache **"Lucky Wallaroo"** at 1:11:00 PM today.
This was our 9th find for the day and this makes our find count 13016.

Our cache run today was a trip into Wallaroo via the back roads. The evolving plan was to meet up with the Hurtling Posties and Lilysue to munch our way through a splendid afternoon tea; followed by a splendid beach sunset and BBQ tea before stumbling around in the bushes attempting a night cache. Of course there were many daylight hours to fill in with caches along the way as well. At the end of the day (somewhere close to midnight) our final total was 9 finds and 0 DNF's.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Off to the copper triangle to help with tech/lighting at a barn dance... obviously we had to cache too!
It was truly lucky I could find this one now - another long trip is coming up without the ferry in place...

Found this one while in the area for the long weekend. Was at WP1 some time ago and gathered the information. Of course I forgot the information when I arrive. Luckily there are a couple of spoilers that have been attached recently and putting 2 and 2 together (thanks Google street view) a cache was found. TFTC

Hmmm !! Just read about the fate of the Sea SA ferry !!
No services expected until sometime in 2015 when the SA economy and tourist trade picks up !!

Now does that sound like a quote from the "Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy" ?? [:o)]
Yeah !! The planet of Magrathea did just that !! Big Grin

Methinks the directors of "SEA SA" have a warped sense of humour Razz
Keep an eye out for Slartyblartfast when collecting the cache or clues.
Not that you will notice him because he is Somebody Else's Problem [:o)]

14-Oct-14
Well here was a cache a long time in the finding Smile

Way back in the middle of June, I worked out the coordinates for GZ !! [:o]
So here I am some four months later at GZ Big Grin
Sure I could have gotten here in under 2 hours back then, but I think my way of getting here was much more entertaining Razz

So four months later ..... found it Big Grin

First for the day and a quick find. Gathered the required info for this one a few weeks ago when we were on the Eyre Peninsula. Took a while to get round to finishing it.
The day we were there we were lucky enough to see the ferry come in on its second last trip.
Thanks.

05-Sep-14
At long last, after being not so LUCKY, I was feeling LUCKY.

I asked myself, "Did I feel LUCKY"[?]

Yep! Razz

Nope, I am not a punk. [:X]

I wear a GPS not a Smith and Wesson. [:o)]

I check my batteries not my bullets. Surprised

Thanks to Dazzatron and clear skies from TeamAstro.

30-Aug-14
Have the information and should be at GZ in a few weeks time. Hopefully will get to complete this multi then. Thanks.

Watched Firesafe find this cache as his 14,000th find, marking a very special end to the BBB tour.

Congratulations Firesafe on your wonderful achievement Big Grin

Thanks to Dazzatron for the cache [^]

Time to head home now for me [|)]

I got lucky here, I admit I haven't visited the starting location but my name is in the log book as part of firesafe's 14,000th smilie celebration. I must get to Lucky Bay some time and do the other half of this double multi.

Thanks for the cache Dazzatron.

Today was a big day with the Big Bad Brad Tour with no sighting of the Man himself but plenty of evidence of caches in his name. Wink
We found most of those that we attempted but there were a few that we missed. Sad
A great meal was had in Wallaroo then a final find at the Ferry Terminal for my 14000 find. Smile
Thanks to all the cache hiders for the day. TFTC. Big Grin

Found at 9:09 PM
found with Scotty's help as his 14000th

Trying for 2000 caches as the goal became close after a full day caching. Started out after a pub tea with Knightyme and Shaido. Thanks for your company fellas greatly appreciated. The task was too great and as midnight approached we realised we were not going to reach the goal on this date. Stopped 6 short and went home to tackle it later.

Thanks Dazzatron for placing this cache and sharing this area with us!

23-Aug-14
Having been out for the day doing the BBB tour we all stopped off here to help firesafe celebrate his 14,000th find. Congratulations firesafe. Cool
Photos were taken, log signed then we all headed off after a great day in the mid north. Cool
Thanks for the cache Dazzatron. Smile

23-Aug-14
Out for the day with Laighside Legends, JJ52 and Ismartis for a fun day out. Cool
Attended the BBB on Tour event, then made our way out to a plethora of prickly, scratchy, frustratingly increasing caches with a similar camo style. Twisted
I finished the day with 14 finds Smile, 2 DNFs Sad and 1 event attended Cool... although that should read 15 finds (1 GCA), 2 DNFs and 2 events attended (1 GCA) Wink

The only cache that I found after tea. firesafe was up to 13,999 and had earmarked this as his 14,000th find so we all approached GZ and laughed as he hunted and hunted.
Thanks for allowing everyone to share inj your find!
Congratulations on your milestone, Scott, and here's to the next 14,000 finds Cool
14th find for the day

Helping to celebrate Oz Firesafes 14,000th cache find. Excellent effort.

23-Aug-14
Solved this multi on the JLW but its end point is a rather long way away. Tonight I was lucky enough to have spent the day watching a caching legend reach his 14,000 cache on a caching legends cache (that is you, Dazzatron). This was the last cache of the day, and it leaves Aussie Mary and Mark exactly 100 short of half the finds that firesafe has.

Thanks for placing a suitable cache for firesafe to choose as we didn't plan to end up in Wallaroo. It certainly was Lucky for firesafe.

We are catching up with some missed logs logs

Day five with Alansee and Micaparamedic we were now based in Wallaroo and this is our second last day on this great peninsula

We tried to do this one's counterpart and were unable to get to that gz today but talking to someone that has done a lot of traveling we got a hint and tried our luck on this one and were quite happy when the cache was discovered quite quickly and our initials are now in the log.

To save room in the logs we signed as M.A.C.( Micaparamedic Alansee and Team Crackers).
Many thanks to Dazzatron for placing this cache.

18-Aug-14
We were certainly a bit lucky to get this one, and a bit clever. Well one of us was. Found with Team Crackers and Micaparamedic. I am sure that it was Mrs C who said to me - what if.... And she was right!

Creepy Cleve June Long Weekend Event. Monday was farewell to Aussie M&M day as mogni and I had a ferry to catch. Cool But first we could do some caching on our way to the ferry.
A flashmob formed on the Lucky side with me, mogni, Alex, Laighside Legends and shonkylogic. We all had the answer. So on the ferry we talked about were our various geomobiles had been parked.
reaching the other side the Shonky crew were first off by a long way, then me, then LL and finally Alex.
Shonky was already searching when I dropped off mogni to help. By the time I had parked LL was also on scene and even Alex made it before we could find the blighter.
Checked the clue and the search went upwards and I was luck to lay my hands on it and claim the PT.
A joint FTF at 3.37 by my GPS and a chance to put my new FTF trackable through. Smile Thanks Dazzatron. Big Grin

09-Jun-14
I joined a motley crew of geocachers searching over, under, around, beside and under, looking at the right spot without any success until brisal5 actually looked properly! Thanks Dazzatron.

09-Jun-14
Found It!
FTF at 3:40pm with shonkylogic, Alex, brisal and mongi.
Shonkylogic was lucky enough to get his car in the middle lane of the ferry so he was off well before the rest of us. Alex and myself were both in the bottom side lane so we were next off. Then brisal and mogni were in the top lane so they were last off the ferry. But none of that mattered because we all got to GZ and none of us could find the thing! After quite a bit of searching the cache owner was phoned a few times but we didn't get an answer. Then brisal happened to look in just the right place and found the cache!

Being in pole position I thought I'd find this one before the others were off the ferry. But don't count your finds before they eventuate, it was more difficult than I thought and the others soon joined me for an extensive search. Eventually brisal came up with the cache.
