#4002 After a ride on the chairlift at Arthurs Seat we made our way down to Rye fighting with an enormous volume of traffic en route! Finally we had parked near BTU - Bus Stop with the plan to walk to BTU - Twisted. A coolish day but still lots of muggles enjoying the beach.

Incredible, we were able to locate this one quickly. Mainly thanks to the helpful hint we suspect. TFTC BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.

12-Dec-19
Got dropped off at Sorrento and our aim was to walk back towards Rye trying to find as many caches as we could. This was our seventh cache for the day. Found it on the ground and placed it back where it appeared it should be located. Very clever. Thanks for this series.

03-Dec-19
Found by Mary and David, in company with pprass and Alansee, at 12:15. Signed as MAP (Maccamob, Alansee, Pprass). Our second day on the Bay Trail. Much better weather today, having only one very brief period with a few spots of rain. Still quite windy, but we had a good run with all the BTR and BTU caches finished, and a few other caches added for good measure. As happened yesterday, quite a few of the caches took us quite a while to find, but we seemed to do better as the time passed. A nice quicker find this time. Our thanks to BorisB&Natasha.

03-Dec-19
Found at 12:17 PM GAFF3 in the company of maccamob & Alansee.
Found the nice camoed container, but there was no log sheet inside. We then made a log "sheet" from a piece of a cardboard coffee cup.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha
Feedback: Log sheet needs to be replaced.

03-Dec-19
Had a great caching day today with pprass and maccamob. We found everything today that we could have and only had one real PAF. It was a combination of great hides, some good finding, and sheer persistence! This one we managed to find fairly quickly but the log and container were missing.

11-Oct-19
Found today on our Portsea to Rye Tour, that took us from the back beaches of Portsea, then through to the Portsea bayside. We then followed through Sorrento, Blairgowie and finished in Rye. Our day went from 11:00am through to 7:45pm. Some wonderful caches, placements and views on the way. Some easy, some easy that we made hard, a couple that were hard that we were lucky to make easy and quite a number that were just plain hard. Thanks to all cache owners for the wonderful day out from D & HA B-A

28-Aug-19
Had some time today to head down the peninsula and try to knock off a few more of the bay trail series. I decided to drive out and work back from the west so after a couple of finds I moved the car on to this one. No problems finding parking very close by though there were a few other cars in the car park too. I checked a few spots before my eyes fell upon this neat bit of camo. It did take a tool and a little bit of time to carefully extract the log. so when I returned it I rolled it up tight and replaced it as carefully as I could for the next finder. My fourth find of fifteen for the day. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the the cache and this great series BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.

27-Dec-18
Sailed down as part of the cock of the bay race (div 3, 1st!), and while the ongoing fleet prepared for the Tassie races, I snuck up here for the find. Not too many muggles about this morning which made for a straightforward find once the GPS settled.

11-Dec-18
The carpark was almost empty when i arrived .. i made my way over to the GZ for what i thought would be a quick park and grab when a man on a mo-ped decided to park right where I was standing .a short wait before he moved on and i was able to sign the log .. loved the construction .. a fav from me TFTC

Having a lovely day along this coastal path and the beach collecting some wonderful memories as I add some more smiles to my map. Had to use some stealth here. A favourite point for this one TFTC BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear

Post-Mega caching on the Peninsula (well, actually, catching up with logging!) and cruising around. Unfortunately the weather has been a bit dicey today & curtailed my enthusiasm; found this on the way back to my accommodation.
Excellent cache - thanks for placing & maintaining it, BorisBNatajsa & Nut bear. An FP from me. Greetings from Christchurch, NZ.

Found it

13-Nov-18
At least this cache had safe parking and today there weren’t many Muggles around, but there were a few. It took me ages to find it. Finally I spotted it from a different angle to that suggested in the hint. It was a very creative cache, with great camouflage as usual. I took a photo to show The Evil Muggle who was resting in the car. It is stored in my memory for possible future reference. It’s worth a favourite point.

~~{Bay Trail: The Almost-Finish}~~
Today was a day in which tyres get pumped and leg muscles complain in agony. The Bay Trail was being continued on bike. Surprisingly enough, after early-July's Portsea to Sorrento trip, we've almost completed the Bay Trail completely! And so the day went on with many stops, searches and stunning views on a series where every twig's a bison, every stone an army match container, and every cache needing more favourite points than I have to give!
A massive thanks to BorisBNatasha + Nut Bear for taking care of these phenomenal caches and giving us the odd hint when we need it!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cool camo and sophisticated hide! Luckily our eyes picked up on the slight change in palette and the log was signed. Very nice, and to think of all the people to walk past this!
TFTC, Brainiac03 Smile
Went past it twice, I couldn't find it. But I don't tend to stick about in exposed places.
Great camo! Stopped at the pier to take some sunset photos with AlliTron and surprisingly this was a quick find considering how well it's camouflaged. TTFC.
Amazing hide. Seriously creative. Thank you for the find! LouD and I appreciate the fun!
27-May-18
Spied this one from a little way off but had to wait out a couple of muggles parked close by.
25-Apr-18
A-MA-ZING camo! On another day we may have overlooked it, especially if we had the kids with us making mischief. Today we used our geosense to lead us straight to it.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha & Nut Bear.
Found by The Empire + H
After lunch at St Andrew's Beach Brewery, we decided a walk along the beach was in order. Some of these caches were able to be accessed with the car running closely, others were a lovely walk after parking nearby. There weren't many cars on the road, which was surprising as it's still school holidays and weather was nice. There were a few people with and without doggos along the trails near the beach.
H had to come over and help out as I was wandering around elsewhere. Favourite point added! Thanks for the cache BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.
Once again, we didn't really know what the hint referred to (we do now!) but headed to where the GPS was pointing. "I think I see it", I said, then OzHockeyChick made the find. Nicely done.
I remember Mum saying I loved this song as a littlin', so I'm listening to it now on YouTube as I log this
Found by Flukeywife. Well camoflauged thanks
21-Jan-18
Liked the camo on this one! Car park full but most muggles at the beach. TFTC
29-Dec-17
Utter chaos in the car park this morning so it was a choice of “sit and wait” or return another day. I chose the former and eventually my perseverance paid off... especially as I realised I was looking at the camouflage and all I had to do was recover it. Of course I had to put it back too... but writing this log suitably filled in the time.
Thanks for the cache and the series. A cleverly hie that gets a Favourite Point.
Great Find!!
07-Nov-17
TFTC! Forgot our tweezers but luckily for us we were able to access the log! Very clever indeed
04-Nov-17
A muggle friend and I were staying nearby for the Saturday night (we can recommend arcadia), and had just being to Locquat for dinner, again we can recommend them for dinner a great place. On the way back to the BnB we stopped at the pier for a nice walk with the moon shining, it just so happens that we parked 6 metres from this cache, so what to do and look for it. It was a very quick find and the log was soon signed, and we were heading back to our accommodation again. TFTC
22-Oct-17
Today's weather mixed of showers and sunny - headed out for a hunt day/night at Portsea, Sorrento and Blairgowrie with crank1. Thanks BorisB&Natasha for bringing us here. Cool
21-Oct-17
Caching day with pwala
The weather is up and down but we still enjoy ourselves. Cool
Most of them are excellent hides which give us hard time to found it but we enjoy.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha for the cache Smile
28-Sep-17
Last cache for the day! My ride had just arrived and conveniently parked right in this exact carpark just as I approached the cache! Bit of a coincidence really when all I told them was that I was close to the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron!
Very accurate coordinates and a good hint meant for a fairly quick find. The carpark was also pretty dead so didn't have to be too stealthy Smile
Thanks for the fun that was had today! Still have a few gaps in the trail up further, and also the start between Safety Beach and Rosebud. Wow a massive series! Thanks
---
Ahh yes the Bay Trail! I remember this series from my last visit which I think was over a year ago. Today I have returned on foot once again to continue some of this trail! In total I covered about 9km of the coast with 34 finds and only 3 DNF's!! Which I thought was a massive effort given the difficulty of some of the caches. To be fair I did spent just over 5 hours making my way through them! Thanks to BorisB&Natasha + Nut Bear for one of the most impressive long distance trails I have come across Smile
Last time I was here, Workmen were all over this site trimming trees and garden maintenance. Today all clear. Jumped off the bikes and wandered over. A quick scan and something caught my eye. Yes it was. Log signed and all back safe again.
Find #8710
Out and about with my regular caching partner in crime SedgwickDave. Our primary target was the dozen or so BTU caches that we had yet to find and then any other cache that took our fancy. There was also the rule when we go caching together to find at least 3 cache types, just to mix it up a bit.
We had a go at this one initially and worked out it was actually missing but after a quick message to the co, the replacement was soon in place and our names in the log book. Thanks for such a quick replace.
Many thanks to BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear for the cache. TNLN.
After almost completing the Point Nepean series and riding from Portsea to Sorrento yesterday, we thought we would grab a few more in the short time we had this morning before heading for home. We have really loved the variety and quality of your hides, and congratulate you in your efforts to make geo-caching fun.
The first one to find on this mornings ride, and a nicely camoed hide.
Found when riding with Jascat & Mark9375. This cache requires some maintenance. One part was sitting unattached to its place and the camo log was on the ground. We reattached and place it but needs attention as the next breath of wind may knock it down again. A great thought out cache. TFTC
Found 11/11/16 with Mr Dicksontwo. This was our second venture on the BTU trail to pick up as many as we could in 3 and a half hours. Our first of the day before venturing towards Rye to meet up with the first three caches found on 17 Sept. Another great hide, thanks Nut Bear.
11-Nov-16
Mr Dicksontwo and Mr Rogdel found time at last to add some more smileys to the BTU series. A beautiful Peninsula day, lovely stroll along the bay and some Finds, just what we like. Found this one first at 11.45 am, a good reminder of the kind of hides to expect from this crew! As always, thanks for keeping us on our toes. TNLNSL.
01-Sep-16
I remember being here a while back on a Summer evening and considering having a go at this one but the muggles were just ridiculous. This time, hardly any activity at all. Didn't think I'd find this but I did in surprisingly very little time. Switched angles in which I was looking from a couple of times and then spotted something that didn't look quite right. Very well blended in! Practically a nano this one perhaps?
Needed the tweezers that's for sure.
Thanks Nut bear for the tricky hide.
