Drove by this cache today and the Council are constructing a great big retaining wall. I suspect my cache is now part of that retaining wall, which should make for a great place to conceal a new and more improved hide once the wall is completed ... watch this space
Quick find where logsheet was deteriorating so replaced with waterproof sheet - now all good at GZ.
Thanks for another smilie
Did you know that planning has started for a Mega Event in Wellington in 2018? Check out the details on the [Wellington Event NZ (WENZ) Website](https://sites.google.com/site/wenzgeo2018/home) or visit the event's page on [FaceBook](https://www.facebook.com/groups/590545297801072/)
Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn't be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn't take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code.
Hoping to see you at the [Oamaru Geofest](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6M2V0_oamaru-geofest-2017) during Labour Weekend 21-22 October 2017. Let's all help this a successful event!

Quick find while in the area today.. bit of rain and really windy.. nice look out over porirua harbour tftc
Took a ride out on a sunny day to grab a few caches, this one in good shape. Easy fine with the co-ords. TFTC
Early morning find, on my way to WENZ 2018 - The Launch Party Event this afternoon. Thanks Just-Lookin for the cache.
Out for an early evening walk before dinner. Had spent a great day in Wellington with our grandson doing exciting things like 'The Bugs' at Te Papa, climbing wall at shed 6, cable-car, and the inevitable ice cream from 'the 2nd best ice cream shop in New Zealand' (according to Max).
Quick find here.

A quick find with TregearP whilst in the area. Quite busy with pedestrians, runners and dog walkers.
Cache all in good order - TNLNSL, TFTC.

This is really interesting history, thanks for all that. Who would have known! TFTC
Fastest ever find for me. Great info about the area that was all news to me. TFTC.
A nice quick find to end the day after a spot of geocaching and a play at the super cool playground. Thanks Just-Lookin.
Easy to park just close to the cache. Clean logbook and last cache on the North Island for now.
Decided to take an earlier ferry, so off we go to our new adventure on the south island

I hadn't thought I'd gone far enough along the road when I pulled in to a rough lay-by. I opened the car door and could almost reach the cache without getting out. Easy! TFTC
Showing a friend what geocaching is all about. Couldn't find the 1st one but found this one -thankfully. TFTC.
An easy find tonight. I had to wait for a moment for a couple of muggles to move on while I enjoyed the view. I wonder what the post if for? SH1 boundry perhaps? TFTC
Out for a days caching with bkj97 and little blue hen to discover some of the caches of this area, We soon had this found and signed. TFTC
Needed to find one cache to continue an intended 30-day streak. It was well into the evening before I realised I hadn’t done one today. Found this one when it was dark and raining quite solidly. Fortunately it was a relatively quick find even though I didn’t see the object in the hint straightaway because of the darkness of the night. How much easier it is caching in daylight hours! #1016. TFTC.
Hmm, thinking someone should put it back under the rock. Otherwise, cache in mint condition. Brilliant evening for a walk & catch up with Wellywood. It's good to be back.
Here to see Shapeshifter & Fat Freddy's Drop before we head back to the slumber of chaos they call City of Sails.

The cache at the top... There was good parking at the top and The cache was quickly retrieved, signed and replaced. Thank you for this cache and another smiley face.
# 324. School holidays, and out entertaining kids and their cousins at Aotea Lagoon. Yay, some caches about to keep me entertained too. Left the park briefly to snaffle this one. Quick find with the good hint! Tftc!
Last time I was in this area the cache had been disabled as it went missing.
It turned out that the need for a return visit was beneficial as the owner had put out some more caches nearby in the meantime!
A quick find in the obvious place.
I used to live in the area before the lagoons were developed into what they are now, I can vouch for the fact it is a big improvement!

Quick find... busy area, had to pretend to be taking pictures of the view for a while, lovely view though so I really didn't mind lol TFTC
#1655 Made a wee detour on the way home from work today to pick up a couple of caches. A stunning afternoon to explore a couple of new spots. Nice easy find here- thanks for replacing! TFTC!
#525. Nice quick park and grab, although had to fluff around for a while taking photos and admiring the views of Porirua as muggle parked up in car nearby after I found the cache. Signed brand new logbook, safely returned and away. TFTC
New cache and log in place. Have replaced cache with camoed mint container so hopefully will last a bit longer.
Any news on this one? Was in the area today and till I saw it was disabled I was originally going to "target" this cache as I lived in the area in the 60s and am very impressed with how it looks these days.
Guess I could and should have taken a look to confirm whether the cache appears to be missing but I didn't!

It sure has gone. Checked the other day. Replacing with a mint container tomorrow. Will confirm once in place. Thanks for the note robnzh.
Could not find cache here today, found post and a pile of rocks but no cache. GPS was reading us to be in the right spot as well.
Visiting my sister nearby in Aotea, so I took the opportunity to grab a few nearby caches that I hadn't previously found. A quick find here, TFTC!
Wow. That's a blast from the past. I vaguely remember driving around the lagoons on my way north and then the new road being built alongside the railway line.
A quick park and grab.

First find in the North Island on this leg of the holiday. A nice quick find.
Well, work has finished for the year, and it is time for the annual road trip to Auckland. Today was from Picton to Paraparaumu.
Thanks for the hide.

Had to wait quite a while until a muggle had finished their lunch and moved on. A nice quick find in the end. Uplifted TB.

Quick wee find by geokid after a play in the park. A chance to get Ripley TB on his way.
There are approximately 100 Geocaches that I have found over the last month or so and have not found time to log, so I do honestly and sincerely appologize for the lack of originality in my log for this cache, as it will be the same as several others, I am just trying to keep my page up-to-date with my real-time caches (I'm logging my caches on the date-of-find, nonetheless), and since it was found so long ago I don't remember it clearly enough to write anything specific about it. [Log written on the 13/12]. Thanks very muchly for the cache!
Nice easy find today while in the area for the CITO event. Another quick park and grab and surprise, surprise, another one of Just-Lookin's! Another great piece of history to add to what we read about "Little Lagoon". I remember as a child on the long car ride to Wellington when the road went on the other side of one or two of these lagoons. Suppose I'm just showing my age now SLTFTC
Had a wander after a picnic at the nearby playground with Pooke and Kell_why.

A quick drive-past, indeed. Nice to revisit near my old college, although a lot has changed in the last 22 years (has it been that long?). TFTC
Found by my Princess E ahead of her sisters. Interesting information and good diversion for school holidays. TFTC
Nice quick find after my previous DNF. Great cache description, and something I had no idea about this locality (one I don't know too well, being from the other side of the hills).
TFTC!

Quick find by Redants, I haven't been here for a while but when Redants was a lot smaller we used to come here often. Never saw the model train running though. SL TFTC.
Great views today. Someone had left a pen at GZ, but it didn't fit into the cache so we acquired it. TFTC
