We are on the way from North Brisbane to Adelaide for the MEGA Leapyear 2024. We stop for interesting spots and combining it with finding caches. This was one of them. This is the sort of traveller caches how they should be: room for caravans and not too difficult to find - just to break the drive. A fav point from me! Tftc ian-and-penny

Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.

After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.

All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.

Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.

Quick find here.

Freddo and Team Waldron are heading north for a long delayed trip to the caching fields of Cunnamulla. This cache was found on our journey. Caches were fixed where necessary. Fresh log books added. Containers refreshed.

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

We continued today our tour in NewSouthWales, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.

The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.

The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.

Thanks to ian-and-penny for the generation of this nice cache AT - Bacchus Marsh (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.

PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.

Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

Found original container and log book in great condition! I bet the area looks a little different now so much grass, loads of pretty wildflowers and oodles of lizards out basking in the warm afternoon sun.

Just had a big adventurous drive from Bourke round the back roads to Tilpa (yes sank a beer and signed the wall) then out to the highway to Cobar and now heading back to Bourke. Lots of water and bouncing wildlife some of which hitched a ride , thankfully it wasn’t a goat

My working day done time to enjoy some of the geocaches that Cobar has to offer.
Headed north collecting some but not all of the caches in this trail. Saving some for next time another reason for skipping some was that the rental car was not up to it.
It was getting darker here time to turn around

Thank you for hiding this geocache

West New South Wales trip 2020. Day 2. I was joined by MinnieK and Fitzy_1965 for a trip planned to go from Goulburn to Forbes, Nyngen, Cobar, Broken Hill, Wentworth and Balranald. After a sleep in we left our overnight stop at Warren and headed to Cobar via Nyngen. There were a few caches along the way, but most of the action was the Australian Towns series North of Cobar, and a great selection of local caches. The two Earth caches were the highlight.

We headed out of town for the AT series next, all but one was a smooth find.

Thanks for the cache ian-and-penny

Here is a blurb about us
We are trying to get a badge ,the author ,from project GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to get badges for adding photos to our found logs .
We started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full-time, living in a caravan for almost 2 years now, caching fits in well with this lifestyle. It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone. When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there in order to get the caches we want.

We are in Cobar for a few days and will try to get some caches in town and surrounding areas. We hope we can make a few smilies here to add to our find tally. We are looking forward to the variety of hides we will encounter. Thank you for your work in placement and ongoing effort for maintenance of caches.

TFTC. We camped in Cobar for the night,. As it was still early we decided to head back up the highway towards Bourke to attempt the caches in the AT series. We have been on the road for the last 7 years and have travelled through or visited most of the towns on this series. Interesting reading the description. Most in this series were in good our order and at the listed GZ. A couple were closer to the road than indicated due to some fence clearing.. All findable, though. Just need to look a bit further afield.

A huge thanks to the COs, their maintenance providers and the other cachers who provide maintenance eg Maccamob, Cybergran V and Felix. Apologies to all those not named.
All logs were returned to their hidey holes after my name had been added to the log, although sometimes it was SG if that was more appropriate.
