Archiving this geocache as I can't repair the existing nor find a replacement. Which is a shame and immensely disappointing to me as this was my first geocache placement.
Since the geocache was damaged I have removed it but to-date still have not managed to get the cache open and hence repaired. And I've not been able to find a replacement to-date either.
Has been damaged so has been removed for repair & reinstatement. Thank you for informing me of this. Thank you Juty Bug for removing it as I'm at Mt Ruapehu
Definitely not one for when the school children are around very cleaver but not one for short people like me
The bell it is. I grew up here and never knew the history of the bell. Interesting facts.
Got told to check this one out so I did a nice walk in the evening.
Very interesting story about the bell and the cache itself is pretty cool too!

This cache was one of the many caches we found on our 6 day campervan journey from Tauranga to Lower Hutt via Waihi, Cambridge, New Plymouth and along the west coast to Wanganui and back to the Hutt. A mighty and enjoyable journey which took us to many great and iconic parts of the north island and of course some great geocaches. Many thanks to the many CO's for the great cache placements and for bringing us to so many new places. Sorry about the generic log but 200 plus to log. TFTC
Was told I had to check out this cache while we're down here. Nice camo, great hide TFTC
This one had us stumped but we got there in the end. Have to agree that it is a fantastic find!
Awesome hide. Hope you dont mind if I borrow idea for back home. Will ad fav point when using pc as app wont allow me to award fav points. Only fav point I have awarded in NP. TFTC
Keeping the young streak going another day we decided this would be a quick grab.
As we got to GZ it was quickly spotted then we waited out a few passers-by before I grabbed the cache.
FP for the hide, and interesting information on the cache page.

Another find on my first day with Evamaison, waru8, Chanellewaru. Great find to experience.
Some very interesting history here, thanks for the informative cache page. Glad I found this when I did, don't think I'd want to find it when school was in. Cool hide, gets a favourite from us, surprised it doesn't have more. TFTC Phronimos, #7518
Very cool cache! It was late in the evening during the holidays so I didn't have to worry to much about muggles I bet this is a real tough hide at some times of the day. Thanks for highlighting this interesting piece of history and the fun, creative hide.
Like this one! Scoped it out in the afternoon then bought my tall back in the evening to make the grab! Good clue.
Cool cache Back in the game with the kids, so much fun Learnt a bit of history in the process.
