TFTC and a quick find but an even quicker getaway. I hope you dont mind but I didnt get to sign it as a brown snake appeared cms from me as I was about to grab the cache. Im from the Hunter Valley and will not be back for a long time. My heart is still racing, Im snake phobic.
On our travels we found ourselves in Grenfell and took the opportunity to grab a few caches, a nice easy find in an interesting place, thanks for placing it
Replaced the cache here.Headed over to the Capital GeoBash in Canberra, ACT with Freddo over 5 days, travelling through the central part of NSW before caching around the hinterlands. A nice few days over with great weather. Thanks for the cache
Ye olde cache was found by ye olde cacher. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Heading home from a weekend banding at Weddin Mountains and getting a few caches on the way home.
First one on the way home before getting coffee. Interesting approaches here. Quickly found and a full log here. Through out the sticky lolly.

Despite the efforts of our car GPS we managed to drive within about 70 metres of this one. Some intriguing old bits and pieces lying around the lake we discovered in the abandoned quarry, including what looks like an old railway turntable
A short walk to GZ
Today we said farewell to Temora and moved on the short distance fo Grenfell. We picked up a few caches en route and arrived mid morning and set up in the donation camp at the Old Railway Station. A lovely setting with the restored station and a playground nearby. Only sharing it with one other! We then checked out the local area caching breaking it with lunch and a coffee at one of the local cafes. The scenery here with its rolling plains and hills is quite different to home. The storm clouds rolling in over the nearby mountains were spectacular.
As for the nearby silo art, amazing.
Thank you to the local cachers. A mixture of hides and a couple quite clever.

As a member of TeamOZCAT logged in this cache, I am now logging as an individual predominantly to avoid any mistaken/unnecessary revisitation.
Under groundspeak guidelines, this logging is acceptable as I was indeed at Cache GZ in person in recent times. However, all cache owners have the right to delete logs as they see fit. Usually done to "Armchair loggers" or inappropriate texting.
If any cache Owner/s have questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact.
TeamOZCAT logged finds when both Karen and Reg logged as individuals. This logging is exactly the same, only in reverse. Again, groundspeak acceptable.
For an unspecified period of time TeamOZCAT are no longer cache searching but remain active in our cache management and maintenance.
I sincerely thank all CO's and wish you all the best in your endeavours. Cheers Karen

Many cache owners are already aware: As per Groundspeak guidelines, I am claiming find because physically found under TeamOzcat. I undertake this not for disinterested statistical purposes, but because of inability to revisit this cache, and/or because it's so damn confusing when viewing the local district geocache maps. I sincerely thank all CO's for time and effort in placement of their caches. Cheers Reg.
Visiting Grenfell for the weekend. Had time to kill this morning so went out to find a few caches with brother To5hy.
After a quick climb up the dirt mound, the cache was soon found in an obvious location.

With a day free I decided to go for a drive to Grenfell and clean it out. This didn’t end up happening as some caches I couldn’t find and some are missing (according to past logs). About ½ of the caches I found today are in need of some urgent TLC. The list of issues includes: cracked containers, waterlogged/full logbooks, missing parts of field puzzles, incorrect coordinates and completely missing containers. I did try my best to help CO’s with these problems as much as possible but unfortunately, I didn’t have enough supplies with me for all of them. I hope the CO’s will continue maintaining these great hides, to stay alive for others to find in the future. Today was a great day full of creative hides, great locations, fun hikes and lots of laughs. TB visit on all found caches today and on some of the smaller log books/sheets I signed as 13/9 JM. Even though I was upset with the state of some of the caches around, I still would like to say thank you to all the CO’s for taking the time to place the caches I found and the fun I had while finding them today. Sorry about the generic logs. Only the more interesting hides and DNF’s will get an extended logs due to the amount of caches I found today.
the person in the nearby back yard was busier playing fetch with his dog to pay attention to some random person in the quarry which I was grateful for. left a TB to continue its journey.

We stopped on the roads where suitable to pull over with a caravan on, to find a cache.
We have now set up camp at the old railway station. After a lunch break we did a tiki tour of the town, finding some very cleverly hidden caches in some great location. The town was very hot today.
Thanks for placing this cache Spock1967

Each year I follow the Aust Solo Speedway Championships which are held over four meetings. This year those meetings are at Kurri Kurri nsw, Undera vic, Mildura vic, and Gillman sa.
It only seems sensible to do some geocaching along the way. It helps to break the driving and I get a lot of enjoyment from it.
Please excuse this generic log as there are too many to do them individually, but I certainly appreciate the dedicated work of all the COs in providing us with this great hobby.

Quarry is in full flight but just far enough away to be unnoticed. Very warm here today but thankfully not a long search. TFTC.
Dry enough to drive up track so only a short walk to GZ but it was time to watch out for slithering reptiles! Found the cache but we have some apprehension about reaching into such spots. Must make better use of a probing stick in future. Took a golf ball, left a spider ( bit late for Halloween). Tftc . ( also liked the everlasting daisies growing near the track in.)
Nice cache find while geocaching in the area today.

5th day, found with skyejam & sevabo! I did not know magpie flew to right front face to face and watched what am I doing, lucky it's not September otherwise magpie might will pull my hair!! TFTC
Yay first of the day 5, Dolphia found it in a min. The weather is a beautiful hot sunny day for us. A magpie watched Dolphia in a very close but harmless!
I had a bit of a look around Grenfell but it seemed like micros everywhere and I'm so over them I looked for something else and was glad I headed out here. Didn't take long to find although it's nearly six months since the last find. Signed and replaced. What I liked most was the old Grenfell turntable parked across the way. I took some photos - I hope it's not 'lost'.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Found at 2:19 PM GAFF1.
We wanted to see how far we could drive in, but the track turned out to be quite muddy, so we jumped out of the car and went bush and found the cache amongst the remnants of the gold mining tins - there are tins all over the place. What is it with tins around here?
Thanks Spock1967.

Team "Dumbledore's Army " (yynnbub, the Ryan girls, frannj, starlight and myself) to grab some caches in Grenfell before we hit the Harry Potter trail outside Cowra. We drove in and I thought I spotted a great place to hide it though the gps didn't go that way, so turned car around to follow the ryan girls who had found it. tftc Spock1967
An early morning venture out to this cache before the day warms up. Wonder if the quarry still gets used. Thanks Spock1967.
Was worried when I saw the location as my knee doesn't want to get down but was lucky enough to spot it straight away. TFTC
It's hot and there are grasshoppers and bees and flowers - summer must be coming. It is certainly a lovely day for caching. We were very glad they were not working here today so there was no need to sneak around. TFTC
Spent longer than we thought we would on this one, found a golf ball in the process so we left it in the container!
Our only free day for quite some time so we decided to head out on a geomission around the area. We have had a couple of mini tours lately, but today we went all out to Cowra and Grenfell to see how many we could find. Rapidlywild came along for the drive to fill her gaps where she has previously posted DNF's. The weather was lovely and the drive was picturesque, thank you to all the cache owners for bringing us to this lovely part of Australia.
Another quarry find, this one is a lot different from our other quarry find today.

Plans were made with Tanso for a day trip round Cowra and Grenfell. We started the day off with the WWFM event and then it was on the road for us
Very enjoyable day out in the smaller towns. Undortunately we did have a number of DNF's however these things happen and it just gives us more reasons to return We arrived in Cowra about 2pm and I got back to Canberra just on 2am. Was a range of finds and some very good ones too ! We finished the trip driving through Young when we spotted a "bomfire" which turned out to be a vehicle on fire. We pulled up and called 000 immediately to get the firies out. Always fun and games on road trips [:p]
Ah yes finally a find after 3 DNF's in a row. Nice easy find here.
Thanks Spock1967 for placing these caches, lovely area especially on a day like today.

In the midst of the landscape that has been worked to death, was a nice duck pond
And nearby a nice easy to find cache that should remain safe from the dump trucks and diggers that call this area home

Even with the risk of bad weather, we headed out with Roostaman, to pick up some caches.
Cache was located in good condition, after a short search.

Central Australia trip Crossing the Simpson and Innaminka, August 2014. After many years away from the Oodnadatta track and Innaminka, it was time for a another tour. This time in Company with seven cars to tackle the obstacles. Caching opportunities were a little thin, but the ones that were out here are all in great places. I was only out here a few months ago, but already a new cache has arrived, this one was in a deserted area and it was not difficult to get too. Thanks.
