I had a lot of fun creating this series, and have fond memories of building and placing them all. From the logs and feedback cachers enjoy their You Yangs outings as much as I do.
With just a single find during 2019 the series has seemingly served its purpose.
Thank you to everyone to found these caches over the past six years.

I think the geowhippet can claim this find as he walked straight up to it and started sniffing haha. A brief pit stop for water and food and the hike continued. Tftc
Find # 7449
Found while out on a solo caching day. Plan was to, finally, grab the 2 mystery trails near Lara, as I've had them solved for some time now. And then to head into the YouYangs to grab some smilies around the Great Circle Dr and to finish off caching at an event.
Oh and grab the odd cache thay pops up on the GPSr.
With the stinking heat n gail force winds, it was quite the interesting day. A couple of snakes, lots of lizards, and quite a big fire near Little River to keep an eye on.
All making a memorable solo caching trip, around the area.

Found a few of these trail a couple of years ago, so found the rest today on the way to a Water in the Yangs bonus cache!
Eventually spotted the cache here. Seems some of the cammo is gone, but still hard to spot!
Nice work!

Thanks

On a most delightful winters day I was out enjoying the You Yangs area in the wonderful company of echidna44 and xambo4u. We met up early for what turned out to be an excellent day of caching and good company. The quality of the caches was outstanding due in no small part to the work that had gone into their construction. I found 38 caches and not a single DNF which was very satisfying. Got quite a fright near here to meet 2 vehicles pulling large trailers of bikes coming at us from the WRONG WAY Do t know where they materialised from
Thanks The Pacman
Thanks The Pacman
Out today with xambo4u & au.fait, we had a plan to cache in the You Yangs. We did a couple, then decided it would be best to do the 12 km one way circle drive first, as there was an event on for both cyclists and runners along the way.
We must be getting better if we have achieved gold. I am amazed at the construction of so many wonderful caches, maybe it is ThePacman that has won gold!!

Out and about for the day with echidna44 and au.fait to do a You Yang trail. Picked a nice one with a little sun and not much wind. We have left the cyclists and joggers now. Very surprised the condition of the road we are driving, The ruts seem to be getting bigger. Where to pull off?? The camo had been partially scratched off here so we made the find quickly. Thanks for the great run of caches ThePacman
We're out hunting for that last elusive hidden creature. Surely the You Yangs is the place to search?! Thanks
After finding the challenge and multi nearby by with the higher terrain a quick scan at the car park showed this was only 100m away which meant one think. Time to try for another find. A short walk to GZ and soon the hide was found. The outer camo has seen better days otherwise this might have taken a little longer. A quick add of our name and replace. TFTC.
Decided today was the day to complete the YYCD series. The weather was beautiful and very little muggle activity, made for a great day of caching up here. Glad l had the AWD as some of the track was pretty rugged in some areas. All caches located and coords very accurate.
Thanks ThePacman for a terrific series.
Found da gold.

Found da gold.
Late last night (or was it early this morning) I was looking at the map and contemplating whether I wanted to drive to Geelong to pick up a part for my r/c car and then do some geocaching on the way back. My interest was piqued by the You Yangs series and the variety and so a plan was hatched.
Cut to 12:30pm and I have arrived at GZ ready and raring to hunt down the elusive tupperware containers!
19th Cache - again was surprised that I could find this so quickly compared to bronze, oh well I missed out on bronze, but at least I got silver and gold!

We were out and about today hunting down the final souvenir that had eluded us. Where better to search for a Hidden Creature, than in the YouYangs.
Thanks for placing YYCD #19 - Gold so we could find it. Many thanks ThePacman for the caching fun.

The ebie part of calebie we’re out with 2littlecookies to find a few of this series. Polnevdol was there as well but he’d already found them all. TFTC and the series.
We had planned to go to Geelong for a day of caching - but a detour on the way to do a nearby cache with high favourite points got us off the highway. With the You Yangs visibile we thought it was time to finish of this series that we had sampled (the first three caches) way back in August 2016. We had been meaning to get back after enjoying the start of the series and so today was the day.
What a fanstastic series with such a great variety of hides, cache types and sizes.
Today the area was buzzing with mountain bikers which I suspect it is most weekends.
We had a fantastic day and managed to see stacks of kangaroos and even one koala! We also had a little scare with the car brakes but we lived to tell the tale.
The quality of these caches and camo is amazing. Thanks ThePacman for putting out and maintaining this fun series for cachers to enjoy. And a fantastic location of course.

This one had us searching a while. Finally it was discovered and log signed. All back safe again.

We seemed to be circling this one for ages. It fell to shogun- to eventually spy the well-camouflaged cache. A rather convincing disguise, it has to be said. Thanks again ThePacman!
Team T.S.B on a mission to complete 2 separate puzzles series, and of course to nail the YYCD PT. A NC in Lara to top things off - All accomplished with one DNF and a few extra hides along the way.
An awesome day indeed with awesome views; hides and mate ship along the way.
Many thx to the CO – nicely executed hides – shall recommend
Apologies for genetic logs

23/01/2018 riding with Team HurriKane on a beautiful summers day,. Our batteries are recharged after lunch and we are looking forward to some downhill as we follow the track and series, TFTC
This one was a little more obvious than the previous hide like it. Whether a bit of camo has come away or the ground has eroded a little I'm not sure, but this was a bit easier than the previous one. TFTC
One of the plans for our holidays in the area, was checking out the You Yangs, and when seeing this trail of caches, we thought we would spend the afternoon doing this trail on foot. We started at 1pm and finished just after 5pm, walking 13.6km and found 27 of the 30 caches.
We got the gold, especially after coming from the correct angle
Thanks for the cache The Pacman

#2813 Enjoying an afternoon ride around this circuit managing to successfully find all YYCD series caches.
Mr BGF does a bit of prospecting from time to time but hasn't found any yellow stuff yet. Perhaps stick to caching because we found gold here today only equipped with a GPSr without any issue whatsoever . TFTC ThePacman, another enjoyable cache hide here.

What a fabulous day we had, a beautiful location and an abundance of caching. 9km drive - 5 hours of caching. My family don't usually come with me which makes for many more DNF. We had snacks, enthusiasm, and the day to explore. We even went to a lovely B and B last night, knowing that the You Yangs were ready to explore on a nice day. Mr. Muggle found some sneaky camouflaged hides, Mr. six found some great swaps and Little Miss four loved exploring. A great family day out. Thankyou.
* 19 = Yeah, a camouflaged one that I found, not Mr. Muggle this time. It does depend on the angle you are looking at, re-hid this one a little better.

Wow, what a day. Down from Melbourne for a days caching showing amandjr the ropes. We found some awesome caches in this series with some hides that I had never seen before and hope to replicate. Overall we found 32 caches for the day with only one DNF. Thanks for the series ThePacman.
Down for the day with Smepster+Darcy to learn about Geocaching, wow what a day and what a amazing trail, some truly fantastic hiding spots thanks ThePacman.
Dark is approaching and I've just decided to pick up a couple more caches before heading out of the park. This was one I chose. Good spot to park, get walking pole to help me negotiate the gully erosion before reaching the cache. Coordinates were really accurate and lead me to the cache almost immediately. So many layers to this one. TFTC
It's all about looking for something that looks like "Hm, what's that?". After increasing the search radius I spotted something that...doesn't fit. Good hide! Cheers.
Ok so I lied. The last one isn't my last find for the day... This one is.
Upon seeing this one was called "gold" and having already found "bronze" and "silver" I figured I ought to "go for gold" to complete the set.

If you go and call caches things like "Gold" you do make me do weird and embarrassing things, like singing eighties pop hits loudly, in quiet bush areas. Just saying.
I sometimes play a game if I'm stuck at a pedestrian crossing, where I sing extremely ear-worm type songs and chuckle to myself as I imagine all the other people getting infected by that ear worm, and humming it themselves, for the rest of the day. The children think it's embarrassing. I think it's funny. People should sing in public more often.

Today was a follow on mission from last week, when the geo-wife and my efforts to find all the traditional YYCD caches, were unexpectedly shortened by a major event going on at the You Yangs. After detouring for some others in the park, we were back on track today.
Woohoo, first bronze, then silver and now gold - and all in one day. This one was a surprisingly quick find after a couple of its predecessors.
The cache is in good condition.

It was great to come back and get this cache months after finding others that are in this series!
The Boddington Gold Mine is a gold and copper mine located 17 km northwest of Boddington, Western Australia. 170 km WSW of my birthplace in Kondinin.
Officially reopened on 3 February 2010, the mine has now become Australia's largest gold mine, eclipsing The Fimiston Open Pit, colloquially known as the Super Pit, with an expected production of ~750,000oz in 2015.
No Super Pits were dug in the finding of this superb nugget today.

14:17, 14 Jan 17, Find #150, out for the day caching with OzHockeyChick and jimbo_80, doing the You Yangs and we were on a mission to do this series of caches.
With a little milestone for me on this one, it was a fun container to find. Not long out of the vehicle and this one was found and admired for its construction idea. the log was signed and the container was replaced for the next person to find.... we are quite amazed that we have seen very little traffic or people all day so far, thinking this area would have more traffic and people. TFTC.

Once again, some really impressive construction work and camo here, love it. Worthy of the gold name, it wasn't too hard for us to find. Thanks
Nice quick find with clever camo. We do enjoy the quality of these hides and the work involved in creating and maintaining them! So many ideas to go homes with!

Managed to make a couple of quick and straight forward finds while completing the loop this afternoon, these metal types caches were a slight change from the main finds we have found so far. Thanks again ThePacman for the cache and for bringing us to this area.
In Geelong for the Christmas Events and some caching with Happy pants, Happy Feet 1 & Omegaman1971. We signed logs as DRAG Team.
Following the Christmas BBQ Lunch Event, we set out to do this series. We managed to find all 30 caches. This is one of the better trail series I have done with quality hides, variety and well maintained caches. Thanks ThePacman for an awesome series.

In the Geelong area to attend a number of events, visit a number of earthcaches and see whether I could find 25 caches for the day without utilising a power trail this cache contributed to the effort.

In the area for some Christmas Spirit and caching fun.
with Happy pants,Happy Feet and Yoshi Warriors (Team DRAG) After the 3rd awesome event for the day, we decided to give this much talked about series a shot. Again a case of searching everything for success.
Cheers for the cache

Staying on after the Surf Coast Event we explored this area using geocaching as a guide. Today we tackled this series and enjoyed the variety of hides and the challenge of finding them.

Visiting from QLD with joojoo57 and whilst staying in Lara we thought we'd attempt the You Yangs Circle Drive (YYCD) Series and hoped to complete it before leaving town. As it turned out, it was a beautiful day with clear blue skies and with the great cache description combined with the co-ords being spot on, we managed to nab the whole series within 3.5 hrs.
It was most enjoyable finding all the different crafted caches and the types of camouflage was a great talking point as we went along. Thanks ThePacman for the great effort that went into placing this Series, certainly lots of favorite points from me today - TFTC

Staying in Lara for several days before heading down to the Surf Coast Mega on the weekend. Snickersallan and I decided today was the best to head out to do the You Yang Drive. What a fabulous series taking you around a diverse environment. The variety of caches was amazing and the effort put into the whole series must have been incredible. Thanks ThePacman for a very enjoyable day of caching - one of the best!
can't find his shows ever... but has found the last 4 today... not happy being outdone. tftc

We took our very first trip to the beautiful You Yangs today.
We only had time for the cricle drive and the nice weather meant it was a lovely drive.
The quality of the caches here were just amazing, you have certainly put a lot of effort into not only the hides but the locations.

Found it, love the cache. We were watched by a swamp wallaby. Lots of bike riders having fun.
A little more difficult of a find, as far as the precious metals were concerned. But we got it, eventually--and I get it, there's GOLD in them there hills!

The "100 caches in a day" challenge continues. This was find #20. Thanks heaps, ThePacman!
Found with Jabiru4721 on 13/5/16 but only just able to log them now. Great series and great hides!
With 2 events in Geelong we (myself, becca85, neisha07 & Muggle Dad) decided to go along and make the most of our day.
We spent the morning doing the awesome You Yangs series, finsihing just in time to get to te lunch time event. The arvo was spent catching up GemmaSistema & wozzle68 to grab a few challenge caches along the water. Muggle Dad had to climb some trees, was fun!
We finished off our day with a great evening event and one more cache by torchlight with a muggle friend.
A great day, can't wait to come back this way again another day!

Such awesome camo. Really well made to last the elements too.
We (neisha07, boo09 & I) have had this series on our to-do list for a while and with 2 events on in Lara today, we decided that today was the perfect day for it! With a 2 hour drive to get here and a time restraint so we could get to event #1, I had made sure to solve the quick puzzles and the projection multi, loaded the Whereigo and packed the family stamp in preparation.
We talked Muggle husband/Dad into joining us (mainly so he could drive while I navigated, Sshhh!), packed a picnic lunch and set our alarms for 7 for an 8am leave here and 10am start. Yeah right. Anyone who knows me would not be surprised to find out we got to #1 at 10.55am.
We made great time though, completing all 30 and finishing up at 2.10pm including a 15 minute lunch break.
All up this was a brilliant series that we all enjoyed, even muggle Dad for the most part! We started bribing him with treats around about #18.
Huge Thanks to ThePacman for the hard work that has gone into the creation and maintenance of this series.

Kids were running out of enthusiasm by now but we were on a mission to get AutumnCS to 300 before we went home (3 to go). Quick find, TFTC.
Quick find once the muggles went by. This was where I had a minor panic attack, went to check my phone for a message I was waiting for, and there was no phone in my pocket, so which of the last 15 caches had I dropped it at.. What to do... First thoughts were 2 obvious ones where I was crawling around, but had to go around the circle to check, so back to the car to decide. Opened the door and there it was sitting on the floor beside the seat. Luckyyyyyyyyy.
Find no. 962
Geowife having found one of these earlier in the series made the find here too. Lucky as I had walked straight past it. Well built hide and a favourite point from us.

Rokmum and I are off for a girls weekend caching and relaxing! This series was the focus of our stay, yesterday we did the question mark of puzzles and today we had this little gem in our sights!
We had a great day cruising around the you yangs, was quite surprised by area, it's a lot drier and less foresty (yes that's a word) than I expected. Sooo many crazy mountain bike riders dicing with death as they hurtle down the hill at a million miles an hour.
Thanks for the series.

LegoHeads and I headed out for our well deserved girl's weekend away. We've been planning this trip for a while and had completed all the puzzles in preparation. So pleased we were to have managed to successfully complete this series of great puzzles, that clearly have had such a lot of work put in to them. The puzzles themselves were great fun to do, but finding them proved to be so enjoyable! Such an amazing place the You Yangs are. We saw some amazing places and had a wonderful adventure. The caches were all very well constructed, and clearly a lot of time and dedication went in to building them. Thank you so much to Pacman for your efforts. We've had a brilliant weekend away!
This one had us scratching our heads for a bit, but we nearly tripped over it in the end!
