Wow! So much fun. Geowhippet and I were out for a walk in the you yangs thinking we would only have to contend with strong winds and rain. Little did we know a monster was waiting too! We were lucky to make our getaway back to the car and zoomed home for a shower (and bath for the muddy paws). Was well worth putting on the raincoat today and sucking it up to finish this series. A FP from me

Out Spending a few hours in the You Yangs. The ring road was closed today, so I parked at the top, and walked down to GZ. With the latest Mystery at the Muesum Souvenir series, This cache would help gather clues. I really enjoyed this fairly simple Whereigo. Great camo for the cache. Gave this cache it's 90th Favorite Point.
Thanks **ThePacman**
TFTC.

An early morning start out into the You Yangs with Spiffy- to collect some caches and a challenge we have been working on. Plans went astray with the rain overnight closing roads in the park so we resorted to some freestyle caches. A well done whereigo with a nice finish. Great work at GZ too for the hide. Favourite for me.
Thanks ThePacman for the cache.

We have been meaning to come to the You Yangs park for some time so we had a fair few hours to today so Fleabag- and I decided to concentrate on the main loop and the 100's & 1,000's challenge cache but when we arrived the whole road was closed off due to yesterday's heavy rain. Oh well, we headed off for some different ones since I have never been in this area and there were plenty of other caches to look for.
I had this loaded at home and ready to go today. Impressive use of sound on this cartridge. Cool story as well even if it was a little violent at the end.
A favourite from me.
Thanks ThePacman for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Found a few of these trail a couple of years ago, so found the rest today on the way to a Water in the Yangs bonus cache!
A cool little Whereigo, that I ended up doing in the dark, which enhanced the sound effects on the cartridge! lol
All good and found easily.

Decided today was the day to complete the YYCD series. The weather was beautiful and very little muggle activity, made for a great day of caching up here. Glad l had the AWD as some of the track was pretty rugged in some areas. All caches located and coords very accurate.
Thanks ThePacman for a terrific series.
My very first Wherelgo and l got it to work. Dealt with pesky monster then signed the log. TFTC, once again great camo.

Our first whereIgo find. Certainly one of the Geokids Favs, although GeoOscar (3) thought there was a real monster at first, so was quite upset. After we found the 'Bunion' as he called it, he just wanted to keep seeing it. I told he we couldn't see it unless we went back to its home. This was definitely one of our favs for the day. TFTC and the adventure!
Late last night (or was it early this morning) I was looking at the map and contemplating whether I wanted to drive to Geelong to pick up a part for my r/c car and then do some geocaching on the way back. My interest was piqued by the You Yangs series and the variety and so a plan was hatched.
Cut to 12:30pm and I have arrived at GZ ready and raring to hunt down the elusive tupperware containers!
28th cache - I can see the finish from here, but first let's go deal with this monster!
I have started 2 other whereigo's but this is the first one that I have completed. I completed his 'menial' tasks and then set off on a wild goose chase, all because I didn't finish clicking on the whereigo options. whoops, that'll teach me... maybe not!
TFTC!
I loved all the effort put into creating this cache and so it's a favourite from me.

We had planned to go to Geelong for a day of caching - but a detour on the way to do a nearby cache with high favourite points got us off the highway. With the You Yangs visibile we thought it was time to finish of this series that we had sampled (the first three caches) way back in August 2016. We had been meaning to get back after enjoying the start of the series and so today was the day.
What a fanstastic series with such a great variety of hides, cache types and sizes.
Today the area was buzzing with mountain bikers which I suspect it is most weekends.
We had a fantastic day and managed to see stacks of kangaroos and even one koala! We also had a little scare with the car brakes but we lived to tell the tale.
The quality of these caches and camo is amazing. Thanks ThePacman for putting out and maintaining this fun series for cachers to enjoy. And a fantastic location of course.

Well what great fun ThePacman - this is what caching is about.
Little Miss was petrified by the Bunyip - no matter how many times we told her it was just a game!
She wasn't happy until ...well you know what happens in the end!
Middle child managed to find the tricky and well camo'd cache.
I used my Android phone for this and Mrs P used her Apple. Now I hate to admit it being an Android Fan and Apple Agnostic...the whereigo experience is slightly easier on Apple..
This was really enjoyable ThePacman. Thanks. I think we will have to try to make a whereigo one day! As we tell the kids when they ask to go somewhere a little exotic .. mmm one day...one day..
A fave from us for sure (but we will have to I owe you, not where I go)... it may take us a while to pay up, so we will add this to our Favourite Owed list! PS, have paid up 12/3/18 after a day caching in the Northcote of the North aka Castlemaine area

This was an unusual type of cache for me, so I was led around by instructions at Brays bog.
When our duties were over we made the well concealed cache, signed the log and were out of there.
Thanks for the experience.

Team T.S.B on a mission to complete 2 separate puzzles series, and of course to nail the YYCD PT. A NC in Lara to top things off - All accomplished with one DNF and a few extra hides along the way.
An awesome day indeed with awesome views; hides and mate ship along the way.
Many thx to the CO – nicely executed hides – shall recommend
Apologies for genetic logs

I must have had this wherigo sitting on my phone for a couple of years now, just in case. The day finally came today to complete it, alongside tidder and shogun-. I was honestly fearing a more punishing walk, given that I'm displaying a bit of a limp at the moment, but things were entirely manageable for this invalid. I recall long ago reading a friend's reference to the monster's "diva style demands" and was amused to discover what these amounted to in practice. Pleasingly the whole affair culminated in a very distinctive cache, after a moderately protracted search. Thanks again ThePacman!
My first whereigo! Pity the app is a bit glitchy but an enjoyable diversion none the less.

One of the plans for our holidays in the area, was checking out the You Yangs, and when seeing this trail of caches, we thought we would spend the afternoon doing this trail on foot. We started at 1pm and finished just after 5pm, walking 13.6km and found 27 of the 30 caches.
Just as we were starting this cache, Team BGF was finishing, so it was perfect timing as it meant we were not interfering with each other.
This was certainly our favourite of the series. The amount of work you have put into this one, even down to the sound effects and the final cache that looks like it is part of the structure. Certainly a well deserved favourite point here, and would highly recommend it.
Thanks for the cache The Pacman

#2822 Enjoying an afternoon ride around this circuit managing to successfully find all YYCD series caches.
Nearing the end of the series we were certainly starting to feel quite weary. But we had come this far so we tapped into our remaining energy reserves to take on the YY Monster! This is only the second time we have tackled this type of cache from memory and we are not sure why we haven't completed more, because they are so much fun to do. A very nicely constructed cache including the container at the end of the mini adventure too. Well done ThePacman, a favourite from us.

Wow, what a day. Down from Melbourne for a days caching showing amandjr the ropes. We found some awesome caches in this series with some hides that I had never seen before and hope to replicate. Overall we found 32 caches for the day with only one DNF. Thanks for the series ThePacman.
Down for the day with Smepster+Darcy to learn about Geocaching, wow what a day and what a amazing trail, some truly fantastic hiding spots thanks ThePacman.
We LOVED this. The children ran to the start zone, which they spotted way before me, and crowded round the phone to see the characters and instructions. We ran to each place to perform each task and laughed and laughed at the monster and it's diva style demands. The first roar made the youngest ones jump a bit, but as soon as they figured out the game, they were 100% on board.
My youngest son found the cache after the monster gave up his lair.
When they were tucked into bed at the end of the day, they were still talking about the "You Yangs monster ", and all the things he asked them to do. Top notch wherigo - lots of fun. Definitely going on my favourites list

15:31, 14 Jan 17, Find #160, out for the day caching with OzHockeyChick and jimbo_80, doing the You Yangs and we were on a mission to do this series of caches.
Well wasnt this fun.. I was the only one of the 3 of us that had a samsung phone and it took me a while to work out what to do with a wherigo cache as the only other one ive tried but very unsucessfully mind you was the one at the ballarat cemetary.. so this took me a bit to work out and even OHC had a bit of trouble working out what to do on my samsung being an Iphone person herself.
OK well we sorted it and then as we were walking along we had stereo sound (can you call it stereo if there is 3 phones playing a little tune as you walk?)...
Well the things we had to do ... haha.. great fun and a bit of walking back n forth to get it sorted.. but yipee we all had it done... big happy smiles from the 3 of us as we walked back to the vehicle.. TFTC what great fun !..

Enjoying the day with jimbo_80 and BoatieTim.
I had pre-prepared the boys with downloading apps and cartridges for this wherigo. Although BT struggled with his android to begin with (go iphone!), it eventually came good.
A really nicely put together wherigo. With 3 phones running, we all enjoyed the sound effects in surround sound! TFTC ThePacman. Another fav heading your way

I've been caching over a year but this is my first wherigo. So much fun, I must do more of them! Boy, that bunyip ain't half demanding! We followed all the steps and soon made the find. Thank you : )

I have only done a few handfuls of whereigos but I have to admit, I love them. This is the 1st time I bought my family along too. A handheld devise , a bit of theatre .... I guess they were coming down from their junk food lunch they had because they just didn't seem to be into, this part of the game than I was. At waypoint 1, we almost gave up but because it was case sensitive, then we got into the groove of it and we soon had the puzzle worked out. This is a great whereigo, a quick one, a very well planned and thoughtout story, with cheeky humour at the end . I just really admire the time, effort and creativity that goes into the preparation of a whereigo. If you're going to do it ...... do it well & indeed you have. I .......... enjoyed the hunt & I was very happy with the 3 caches we have done today. Some parts of me wants to race out and get 1000 finds by bulking up on drive by power trials ( as soon as I began geocaching I would see people with over 1000 & think WOW, they are really serious and into it) and I would like that number, so people could see how much I enjoy this game but I seem to just pick the few that have fascinated me & do them. We are not gifted with cupious amounts of freetime on the week-ends, so I will do the ones that I remember ( and hope the family like them too). Until that itch to 1000 takes over & hits me. This is one, I will remember & I will be happy I have it as a count before 1000 ...... one of the chosen ones

Wow! this was a very steep learning curve for us as we have never done a wherigo cache unassisted before. This one was a lot of fun as we encountered each stage. We eventually confronted the monster and found where he was hiding out. He was living in a well constructed home and on opening the door we found where we could sign the guest book. This was done before the monster was locked up again and we headed back to safety. Thank you to The Pacman for a fun cache. It gets a favourite point for the creation of the cache and the contruction involved. Our travel bugs also enjoyed this game.
Attending the event and cleaning up some caches in the area with Happy pants, omegaman971 and Yoshi Warriors while at the event. Signed logs as DRAG Team. Enjoyed doing this type of cache with a few others but pleased we avoided getting to close to the slithery muggle before making the find once at GZ.
Thanks ThePacman for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Found this afternoon while in the area for a Christmas Lunch Event and we made the most of grabbing a few caches while we were here. This one was one of finds while closing in on the home stretch that was found with Happy Feet, omegaman1971 and Yoshi Warriors. We managed to avoid the You Yangs Monster and grab a smilie instead, what a well planned and placed cache with plenty of smiles provided, thanks ThePacman for the Wherigo, nice work and hide. Worth a fave for the fun factor alone!
n Geelong for the Christmas Events and some caching with Happy pants, Happy Feet 1 & Omegaman1971. We signed logs as DRAG Team.
Following the Christmas BBQ Lunch Event, we set out to do this series. We managed to find all 30 caches. This is one of the better trail series I have done with quality hides, variety and well maintained caches. Thanks ThePacman for an awesome series.
While we were cutting wood, Happy Feet spotted a slithery muggle who fortunately headed in the other direction. An enjoyable Wherigo and it gets a fav point too.

This was the 6th cache type that I did today out of 14 finds and once again I enjoyed the drive around the circle road to arrived here this time better equipped to do a wherigo. I enjoyed the monster story and what a clever hide at GZ too.
Thanks pacman

In the Geelong area to attend a number of events, visit a number of earthcaches and see whether I could find 25 caches for the day without utilising a power trail this cache contributed to the effort.

In the area for some Christmas Spirit and caching fun.
with Happy pants,Happy Feet and Yoshi Warriors (Team DRAG) After the 3rd awesome event for the day, we decided to give this much talked about series a shot. Only my 3rd whereigo, but my favorite for sure. Favorite point for sure.

I love wherigos so not stopping here for one by the master builder was not an option. I was Scouter 101's first real foray into a wherigo and certainly one of the better one's I've done even if we did I did guess how it might end.
Loved it, so a fav point coming your way.
Thanks Pacman

A big day out with Freddo, Brad&Janet and Moun10bike whilst at the Anglesea Mega.
After Moun10Bike and Brad&Janet left our touring party, Freddo and I picked 4 more caches to do in the YYCD series.
Since ThePacman is known for its excellent Wherigo’s and since I love writing the odd complex Wherigo myself as well, it was an easy choice to go for this cache.
After some to-ing and fro-ing the troll finally revealed its secrets and a great camo cache was found.
Now I just need an excuse to return to this part of the world and do some more Wherigo’s.

Visiting from QLD with joojoo57 and whilst staying in Lara we thought we'd attempt the You Yangs Circle Drive (YYCD) Series and hoped to complete it before leaving town. As it turned out, it was a beautiful day with clear blue skies and with the great cache description combined with the co-ords being spot on, we managed to nab the whole series within 3.5 hrs.
It was most enjoyable finding all the different crafted caches and the types of camouflage was a great talking point as we went along. Thanks ThePacman for the great effort that went into placing this Series, certainly lots of favorite points from me today - TFTC

Staying in Lara for several days before heading down to the Surf Coast Mega on the weekend. Snickersallan and I decided today was the best to head out to do the You Yang Drive. What a fabulous series taking you around a diverse environment. The variety of caches was amazing and the effort put into the whole series must have been incredible. Thanks ThePacman for a very enjoyable day of caching - one of the best!

I headed out this afternoon with Stemicmitsar to grab a few Wherigo's from the Geelong area and whatever else we came across. Steve had already found this Wherigo but stopped here for me to find it. It was a fun cache and the sound effects worked well. Good to see some real effort having gone into the hide. A favourite point from me.
Thank-you to ThePacman for placing this geocache

This was the absolute highlight of the day. We had never done a wherigo cartridge before so we didn't know what to expect or have a clue how to play it. However when we got going, we had an absolute blast.
The iphone interface isn't great, but it does the job sufficiently. The geokids kept saying "this is SO COOL!" as we fought the You Yangs monster and defeated the bunyip!
Thank you for a great experience within an awesome caching run experience. Favorite point, for sure!

Very Fun!!
With 2 events in Geelong we (myself, becca85, neisha07 & Muggle Dad) decided to go along and make the most of our day.
We spent the morning doing the awesome You Yangs series, finsihing just in time to get to te lunch time event. The arvo was spent catching up GemmaSistema & wozzle68 to grab a few challenge caches along the water. Muggle Dad had to climb some trees, was fun!
We finished off our day with a great evening event and one more cache by torchlight with a muggle friend.
A great day, can't wait to come back this way again another day!

I had only done 2 Whereigo previously and had company (ie. Back up devices) so I was a little nervous about this one. Thankfully it worked well for us and the kids thought it was wonderful. Even Muggle hubby was very impressed as he was a Whereigo virgin. +1FP and I am now a bit more confident and will be targeting some more soon! Loved it!
We (neisha07, boo09 & I) have had this series on our to-do list for a while and with 2 events on in Lara today, we decided that today was the perfect day for it! With a 2 hour drive to get here and a time restraint so we could get to event #1, I had made sure to solve the quick puzzles and the projection multi, loaded the Whereigo and packed the family stamp in preparation.
We talked Muggle husband/Dad into joining us (mainly so he could drive while I navigated, Sshhh!), packed a picnic lunch and set our alarms for 7 for an 8am leave here and 10am start. Yeah right. Anyone who knows me would not be surprised to find out we got to #1 at 10.55am.
We made great time though, completing all 30 and finishing up at 2.10pm including a 15 minute lunch break.
All up this was a brilliant series that we all enjoyed, even muggle Dad for the most part! We started bribing him with treats around about #18.
Huge Thanks to ThePacman for the hard work that has gone into the creation and maintenance of this series.

Well only because it wouldn't let me past the 3rd wapont, got in the zone, said I was there, but wouldn't ask the question, and left me hanging there, tried 3 times but no joy. Another time.
Thought this WhereYouGo would be worthwhile for our #1000. This was fantastic cache us and the McPhail Family enjoyed battling the Bunyip. Thanks ThePacman for another well planned and executed cache.
Awesome cache! Very happy to do this with Kalianda09 on their 1,000th cache. Thanks for showing us where I go's and congrats guys! Favourite point from us! Another find by the McPhail family
I'm really starting to enjoy these Wherigo caches after completing the Pacman one last night. TFTC
We had to be quick, was starting to get dark.
Just 2 more caches before we leave the park.
We still needed to complete a wherigo
So off to this one, let's go go go
This you yangs monster was rather scary
We ran the whole way, as quick as can be.
But we stayed safe, no harm done to me
All in thanks, to that little fairy.
Now onto the last mystery
And then back home, I need to pee!

Rokmum and I are off for a girls weekend caching and relaxing! This series was the focus of our stay, yesterday we did the question mark of puzzles and today we had this little gem in our sights!
We had a great day cruising around the you yangs, was quite surprised by area, it's a lot drier and less foresty (yes that's a word) than I expected. Sooo many crazy mountain bike riders dicing with death as they hurtle down the hill at a million miles an hour.
This was my first where I go after completing the where I go workshop a few weeks back! This was so much fun! Absolutely loved it! Favourite point from me!!
Thanks for the series.

LegoHeads and I headed out for our well deserved girl's weekend away. We've been planning this trip for a while and had completed all the puzzles in preparation. So pleased we were to have managed to successfully complete this series of great puzzles, that clearly have had such a lot of work put in to them. The puzzles themselves were great fun to do, but finding them proved to be so enjoyable! Such an amazing place the You Yangs are. We saw some amazing places and had a wonderful adventure. The caches were all very well constructed, and clearly a lot of time and dedication went in to building them. Thank you so much to Pacman for your efforts. We've had a brilliant weekend away!
This was so fun and didn't take to long. Had us giggling and LegoHeads jumping with a scare once we got to the bridge. Very funny.

We like your WhereIGo's. 1/2 way through we guessed the location. But we completed it and conquered the monster. Nice hide. I've thought while doing other caches in the area that it would be a great place to hide a cache. Tftc.
# Six Cache Types in a Day Attempt #
## Cache Type Six ##
*(WhereIGo)*
It's been awhile since we've given this type of cache a go and our current GPSr no longer supports doing them. This meant the iPhone was employed to run the cartridge and we were rewarded with our first ever sound effect supported cache.
We had a ball completing the cache and this marked our successful completion of six cache types in one day!

Had not done one of these before. Thank you Pacman for this great series. I appreciate your thoughtfulness that has gone into each of these caches. As a result, each of them was enjoyable. Some of these well camouflaged caches challenged my powers of observation for quite some time. The park was very quiet today so I wasn’t interrupted at all during the searching process. I would highly recommend this series to all.

While travelling with Mutex I’ve found a lot of caches all over Australia. You know, I like the discovering, especially in nature, but am not that much intopcs and internet ..and logging. So we spend a whole day together to indicate all the caches we found together out of his list. Hope you don't mind the standard text aslazy me has to log quitea few now. HopefullyI'm gonnawork on that
Thanks!

While spending 16 months abroad, travelling through all states of Australia and also having a two months break in Thailand I did a lot of geocaching.
After many, many caches accompanied by the strong will not to write any standard logs, I ended up with more than 700 finds, all waiting for an official log. After intense considerations and carefully weighing my options, you now receive this special limited edition numbered log.

Hahaha, I loved this wherigo so much! We had a good laugh! FP in ?

You Yangs National Park Cache #46/77
Being in Melbourne all the time gets a little boring after a while. So DieRooneys, Mutex, Pfote and I decided that we should leave Melbourne for the weekend. We had a look at the geocaching map and the You Yangs National Park seemed just perfect. Heaps of geocaches with good ratings, camping spot nearby and it wasn't too far away from Melbourne
We started on Saturday with the northern part of the zoo series and did roughly three quarters. We found all 19 caches we were looking for this day and they were amazing!
Really cute ones, cool ideas, everyone was different. I haven’t had so much fun geocaching in a very long time! Thanks Na’wal for your creative zoo caches!
And after having a good night’s rest in Little River we were fit for another day. We did the whole You Yangs Circle Drive today and found all of the caches. And there was even some time left for an earthcache and two traditionals afterwards which makes a total of 32 caches for me today (I already found YYCD #3 on another day). Thanks a lot ThePacman for crafting so many perfectly camouflaged caches!
We let the evening end with an awesome burger dinner buffet. Since it was already dark we were wearing head torches But I think that’s how it should be on a good camping trip
DieRooneys and Pfote went to bed earlier than Mutex and me. We decided that there was still some time for a little mystery solving battle. We were puzzling till 3 am and managed to solve seventeen of the ‘It’s puzzle time’ mysteries. Today, on Monday we did the outdoor finding part
Even though our last day was broiling hot (maybe the hottest day I experienced so far) we found all mysteries we solved the night before, the rest of the zoo series and two traditionals on the way, 26 caches in total.
Thanks TR! for so many different mysteries. We had a lot of fun solving them!
It was an incredible weekend thanks to all owners and my amazing companionship!
But the highlight was that we’ve seen a wild Koala relaxing in a tree after finding our last cache for the day

Thanks a lot for taking care of this cache, showing me this place and turning my travels into an adventure!

Australia Trip
Day 15 of 49
After a night in Little River we did the next Cache tour at You Yangs. The team consisted of Theatralis, Pfote, mutex and I. The main part of the tour we drove with out two cars. In between we parked our cars and walked a part by foot. This Series and the Zoo Series make the You Yangs park to something special. The whole park is full of perfekt build caches with perfekt tarned hidings! At the start of my trip through down-under i had no idea how the Australian Owners make her caches. Now i know it and i'm very excited about that! I enjoyed a perfekt cache day in an absolute amazing environment!
Thanks to ThePacman for the amazing installlations and the choice of the places.
Sorry that i'm just writing a unitarylog.
I was very afraid of this Wherigo, because i am the owner of a few Wherigos in Munich.
It was an absolute nice Story. It tooks 10 Minutes to play the cartridge and then.... Just great
I'm still loving wherigo Caches! This one gets a Favpoint!

At the moment Pfote and me are on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. After I've spent a full year in Australia Pfote joined me for my second year down here. We will definitely try to collect a lot of boxes and all the special things in every state all around and through the middle.
This later weekend Pfote, Theatralis, Die Roonies and I made a trip to Geelong to cache ourselves through the You Yangs Park.
After we did around three quarters of the zoo series yesterday, we chose the YYCD for today and found all of the caches without any problems.
TFTC and greetings from Germany.

Unfortunately manzie and I were not able to enjoy a long weekend this weekend like we usually do, so we ditched our usual plans for fun and frivolity and instead headed to the You Yangs. It began as a pretty miserable day but by the end of our journey the sun was out and doing its job quite nicely. The miserable day also meant only the truly insane muggles were out on their bikes, which made for much easier searches, lol. Manzie is usually ready to head home after around 10 finds, however I didn't really hear him complain until the last couple of caches, so you must have done something right ThePacman, lol
On arrival here, manzie was not particularly happy to be out chasing monsters, he was getting an overwhelming feeling that it was 'beer o'clock, so after following for a bit, he decided to prop and wait for me to finish. Turns out he decided to use his geosense and have a little looksee for the cache while he waited and found it before I could tell him where GZ actually was! I wanted to know how it finished so I went through the motions and completed the task anyway. Thanks for the mini adventure

Found with Bazinga01 and Posho6. This is my first Wherigo cache and this last one I need for the next mystery cache. What a great idea this cache was, a scary monster in the Bush, the kids loved the sounds and story and helped the monster. This gets a favorite point from me. TFTC.
Cache # 400.
Our first ever Whereigo cache. Grear fun and the kids especially loved it. Thanks for the work put into this. After getting the Letterbox, we were determined to get the Puzzle towards the end of this series.
Today was a beautiful sunny day. With Geokid doing some film making in the You Yangs we thought we'd grab a cache or 2. We were joined by Arkbell80 and his Geofamily also and we were able to get some cache types we had never attempted before.
TFTC and the series. We'll come back soon to get the rest.

Our 2nd of these where I go type thingos. Not sure I like them. Persisted purely because I wanted the 6 types in a day cache that is coming up
Found with much appreciation.
Please see extended comments at YYCD #1 which reflect the entire series.
The geokids absolutely adored this expedition. My first wherigo. Loved the clever interaction of location and sounds. Thanks for a fun experience.

After speeding through the last four or so, this one definitely "bogged" us down a little, so to speak. Completed the required tasks easily enough, but the cache hunt was proving to be a real nightmare until, just like a few times earlier, the compass was put away and a bit of common sense was applied instead - especially after thinking back! Can't imagine how long it must take to set up a game like this, and with the fantastic hide on top of it, a favourite only seems appropriate. TFTC!
wow!!! really loved this one. sad we can only give it 1 favorite. really loved it. tftc sl
A great little whereigo to introduce joegleeson_25 to this type of cache type. Some great programming ideas gone into it and the story was well thought out. TFTC

Another great wherigo. Began heading in the wrong direction until I noticed the arrow pointing the other way. Really enjoyed it, this is my new favourite cache type! Another great hide, will add a blue ribbon when possible.

A massive day today with master 4 doing the YYCD series. We dropped master 6 at school then drove the hour down to the You Yangs. Have never been here before and what a gorgeous spot! All up we did the full 30 caches and it took about 4 hours. We hightailed it out of there and made it back to Ballarat by 3:20 for school pick up. What an amazingly brilliant series. Some great camo. Just awesome. Thanks can't express how greatly thankful we are for all the work you've put into the series. The best series I've done to date. Swaps made where possible.
Wowee! Awesome! Master 4 and I loved this. We didn't talk about a monster (as I thought master 4 would get scared), but we loved it. We did as we had to then set about finding cache. Master 4 again found it. Crap, no pen. Made the quick journey back to the car and we signed. A definite fav from us. Love the sounds and the tasks that we undertook.

Out for a days adventure with MuggleWifeDoes gathering caches along the way as we traveled to an event in Geelong to celebrating 15 years of geocaching. We are targeting as many novel or interesting caches and 2014 Victorian Geocache Awards nominees as we can get to during the day.
First for the day, we had to fight off a monster as we raced towards a plane crash site. An excellent story, just wish we had some kids along to share the fun.
Thanks for placing this cache ThePacman

We headed to Melbourne for a week of exploring, relaxing and a touch of caching, and today headed out to grab a few, and this one was next up on the list We downlaod the cartridge, and quickly entered the start area, however no matter what we did, we just couldn't get the cartridge to move to the next zone sadly

Well you have inspried me again to finish my Whereigo cache.
Started nearly 4 years agao and I still have not completed it.
MMM anyway onto the cache itself.
Nicely laid out and easy to follow too.
The sound is a nice touch too.
I was lucky enough to complete and sign the log.
A nice hide it was.

I had a rare day to myself today and had a visit to the You Yangs planned to try and gather some of the many new caches published since I was last here 18 months ago. Unfortunately the weather didn't have the same plans already closing in on me as I arrived and steadily progressing to a heavy drizzle that was to hang about all day and eventually force an early exit.
I've wanted to do this series for a while after sampling the effort, variety and skill put into Pacman's caches in his other series in the park. As expected this series was no exception and even though the rain hindered my efforts I thoroughly enjoyed my circuit finding 28 of the 30 caches along the way. A huge thankyou for you efforts in constructing such unique caches and allowing everyone the enjoyment of visiting such a beautiful park while finding your handiwork.
My first Whereigo cache so I was interested to see how it worked having wanted to do one for a while. The cache played out without any glitches and I enjoyed playing along and then finding the cleverly hidden cache. I've had my eyes on your bollard whereigo caches so I might have to make that a priority next time I'm in Geelong. Thanks for the cache ThePacman.

Found with McWillid whilst visiting the You Yangs. It was a nice, sunny day and perfect for geocaching. All the caches placed here were very impressive and clever. Altogether, we found 28 of the 30 YYCD caches - all were in great condition.
This was my first Wherigo cache! At first, it took a while to get used to this cache type, but in the end it was very enjoyable. It took around 10-15 minutes to complete - we even found the cache halfway through but ended up finishing the game before signing the log. Thanks ThePacman for a really unique experience and for my first Wherigo! A favourite from me.

We are currently making a meandering path as we come back from Adelaide to Melbourne to catch the Spirit of Tasmania back home on Thursday evening. Today we have started a tour of part of the You Yangs, an area we have wanted to visit for some time. Today we concentrated on the Great Circle Drive having neither the time nor energy to tackle the more demanding walks - they will wait until we visit again (hopefully sooner rather than later).
We first came across ThePacman's caches when we visited Geelong in late February 2014. We were impressed by the quality of the hides, the excellent construction of the cache containers, the use of natural camo and the great attention to detail. We were fortunate to meet him at a dinner event during our visit, to solve and find some of his puzzles and to get help on others. For these reasons we wanted to search for ThePacman's caches in the You Yangs. We were not disappointed. Each was a quality geocaching experience, with a wide variety of cache types and hides. We do not allocate favourite points lightly (and so we have a stash), but nearly all of the caches found in the area today certainly merit a favourite point and these have been allocated.
This cache took the most time by far. One reason is that we attempt WherIGo caches so infrequently that we have to relearn how to tackle them on our smartphone. This led to a number of wrong moves and finally the need to restart the cartridge. From there things worked well and the various tasks were completed. Accurate coordinates then led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks ThePacman for a quality caching experience - another favourite point from us.

The little ones loved the monster - the 2yo insisting that he was a happy monster who was not going to eat us no matter what the cache instructions were. Neville-devil, who was with us for the day, had the final solution worked out based on the items we were given to work with, long before reaching the end. Thanks for the fun, and a clever hide.

Together with arbor95 we had a lovely day at the You Yangs Parc.
The caches are sometimes more difficulty to find, than we expected, especially for us germans. Sometimes we didn't knew what was the meaning of the hint. At least we found every caches on the circle.
All the cache have been so pretty, therefore it was not easy to decide which one will get a favorite point.
Thank you for all the caches at You Yang Parc and for keep them going.
Greetings to the owner.

Found by Mary & David at 1435. Just had to return today to finish off the series(this time with a fully charged phone and an external battery just to be sure. Took us a little more than 15 minutes, but Mary's not back to full speed yet. A most enjoyable experience. M, without a tech bone in her body, wanted to know "but how??". D tried patiently to explain. Not a drop of water in the bog today, buit we enjoyed it all anyway. Might even tempt us to seek out a few more Whereigos. A fave for this one. Our thanks to ThePacman.
We were looking forward to this one, but will have to return another day. Our current GPSr doesn't have Whereigo capability, so we've been using WherYouGo on David's phone. However, no sooner had we arrived at the start and fired up the cartridge when the phone's battery went flat. Arrgh!
With year 12 approaching faster than I could ever imagine, I am soon going to enter a time frame where very few caches will be found . So, before I head back to school, I decided to spend a day away from holiday homework and go out West, to give a few new series a crack, and do some very special individual caches. This killed two birds with one stone, as I was then in the drivers seat, and managed to get about 4hrs under the belt to go towards the learners . A great day was had, exploring some fantastic areas, and witnessing all types of driving conditions. Starting at 7:30am, we were then home at 6pm, so quite a full day of caching. The weather was very favourable, not too hot and not too cold. Eventually I ended up with a tally of 61 caches for the day, which was just about what I had been aiming for. I will have to come back to the You Yangs at a later date to complete the Zoo Series, but for now, the rest of the park is clear . A fantastic days caching, even if it is my last full one for a very long time.
This was the 33rd find of 61 for the day.
The following words are the only ones I need to say:
wherigo done right
This is precisely what wherigo should be. Fun, simple, and functioning.
Truly excellent cache, well done again Pacman. Fav point here for sure. Can't wait to get around to more of your wherigos.

We picked this cache up at 4:07pm. Since all the GPS's in the car took us to the eastern edge of the park boundary, we had a bit of a walk to collect this cache, but it was a nice way to spend some time so we didn't mind. This is a great wherigo! ThePacman, you are a master I will be doing more of your wherigo's (and other caches) soon!
SirJ-Oz and I had fantastic (long) day down in Geelong and surrounds today. We picked up the Puzzle Time series and some of the cache nominated for the upcoming 2014 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. We missed dinner (good food places were such and we were stuck with HJ's) and I was dropped home at 2am. It was a great day. Thanks for the cache ThePacman.

Find #1667. Found @ 16:09 with LouiseAnn.
Today, LouiseAnn and I had a plan. Venture towards the Greater Geelong area and find caches which have been nominated for the 2014 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards (GC5H8AF). We also found a few others along the way.
This was find 23 of 34 for the day. This was a great little Wherigo cache although conceptually, I wasn't sure why we were allowed to cross the on one of the missions. We guessed GZ before we'd completed the cartridge. A nice hide as well.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache ThePacman

Hi there ThePacman. We found your cache "YYCD #28 - The You Yangs Monster" at 2:08:00 PM today,. This cache makes our find count 10193.
[Blue]
We thoroughly enjoyed our 25km trek today. - - Yes 25km, a double circuit. [:(!]
Somehow two of the YYCD caches didn't transfer into the GPS, and with no signal where we needed it most we had to wait for awhile before we could obtain some details.
Our trek today took us through some wonderful country, and in some spots the scenery was really fantastic. A lot of thought has gone into this series, and we gave each cache a favourite point for their construction and camouflage.
We faced the monster twice before thinking "this guy is a bit uppity, he's not going to help us". He seemed a bit demanding so we used one of the tools we had at hand and forced him to divulge his secret.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found each cache between 2 & 8 metres from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Each container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
