Another sunny day, another attempt and another failure. Some photos show the container at the base of a star picket. There are only about 6 of these in the vicinity and a search failed to find any container.

24-Mar-19
It has now been more than a year since a "needs maintenance" log was posted with no action by the cache owner. Perhaps this one should be archived.

24-Mar-19
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.

A bit tricky!

30-Sep-18
hard find, bad gps but once found it, was satisfying, not next to bridge, found next to one of two fences nearby

30-Sep-18
Super small and sneaky!

23-Sep-18
We had been wanting to take a look at this bridge for a long time now and finally got around to make a visit. Thanks Contactpete for bringing us here.

The GPSR put us right at the roundabout so we had to wait a while for a family to pack up their drone and leave before we could start the search. With the roundabout thoroughly searched we expanded our search radius all the way back to the bridge and included some surrounding buildings without any success. Having wasted far too long on this one we decided to finally give up and try another cache nearby.

23 Jul 2018

Found ‘TDK landmarks #1- Callan Park Bridge’ (GC58EPK) with morry9.

Today, I teamed up with morry9, to hunt for more Hidden Creatures (and caches), as we fast approach the remaining days of the geocaching June / July 2018 promotion.

I needed another nine cache finds to complete the challenge and capture the illusive World Turtle (digital souvenir). Looking at my map, the Lilyfield and Leichhardt area had a decent concentration of unfound caches, so I invited morry9 to join me for the afternoon.

We started at ’TDK landmarks #1- Callan Park Bridge’ (GC58EPK), which we previously had to abandon after the security guard came over to see what we were up to one night. A quick Phone A Friend was required with the amount of muggles around and the compass bouncing around the place, but we soon had the Cache In Hand.

‘Blondie’ (GC7HK90) proved to be a quick find in between the groundskeepers passing by while on duty.

A short walk down to the Bay Run and a quick find at ’I’m not pulleying your leg - #1 The Bay Run Series’ (GC7G1RT). It is very cutely hidden, but I made sure to put it back with a little more protection than when we found it.

I played a season of footy down at Leichhardt Park a number of years back, before the ’Leichhardt Park Cache.’ (GC5R6ZG) was there. A nice quick find but do not think it is overly secure. Hopefully it sticks around.

Lots of trash to pick up around ’The End Of Norton Street’ (GC7HZM4) site. I picked up as much rubbish as I could, while we grabbed the cache. The CITO Crusaders strike again!

’Pioneers Memorial Park’ (GC701RC) is a lovely park to visit and a nicely constructed cache to find. We did not need the spoilers in the previous logs but it was certainly well hidden.

We were both confused by ’The Bebe Ammo Can - Leichhardt’ (GC7JTR5). This is not an ammo can? Made a quick find here while taking a short rest along Norton Street.

Lots of passing puppies and their muggle owners meant we had to wait a little before pouncing on ’Barking Mad’ (GC3RCP4).

With the actual bridge closed and needing to be on the other side, we made a straight forward find once we found at way over to ’Hawthorne Parade Troll @ Haberfield’ (GC3TZK2).

It was a fun afternoon out and about in the beautiful winter sunshine. Definitely a good excuse to venture out in the depths of the inviting urban forest, that is Sydney at this time of year.

Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners.

Coords a bit off photo in another comment helped, soccer game on nearly got hit with a ball, awesome find Smile TFTC

11-Jun-18
So small, a few meters away.

11-Jun-18
Cache looks like a battery/bullet, it does not look like a plastic bag (that's dog poo). Consider yourself warned.

04-Jun-18
I came by yesterday, but way too many games happening. Today, I had most of the area to myself. After wandering a bit, I looked over logs. I decided to look a bit further and saw something out of the corner of my eye. Glad I was able to track this one down. TFTC

#8146 - 13:25; I was in Sydney with the geohoney for the weekend and after arriving at Birkenhead Point we grabbed a bite to eat before she set off for some retail therapy and I went off for a spot of caching. I had DNFd this cache on an earlier visit, but after checking some recent logs and using a slightly different set of coords, I managed to reverse that result here today and bag a find. TFTC contactpete Smile

20-May-18
A tricky one to find surreptitiously with weekend soccer going on around us! Hopefully we managed to blend in with the spectator-muggles. Tftc

16-May-18
Signed as PDG to save log space. The coords were out but looked through logs and used those suggested by Brewmaker. Once I had the correct location and scratched around a bit the cache was located. Tftc

29-Apr-18
Ohhh it blends in well! Nice cache.

24-Apr-18
Couldn't find it.

19-Apr-18
Had ventured to this cache before with no luck but with talk of some updated cords I finally made the find. TFTC

29-Mar-18
After reading the comments I was determined not to give up on this one, after a lot of looking around I managed to get it signed.

Today we headed over to Lilyfield, taking advantage of the cheap Sunday $2.60 per head capped Opal Card fares, to explore the grounds of the old Callan Park Mental Hospital and then follow The Bay Run back to Leichhardt North Tram Stop. Utilised Bus/Train/Tram on the way over, and Tram/Train/Ferry/Bus for the return journey back to home. This was the 5th of 7 finds for the day.

After finding "Phoneix" we next arrived at this one, enjoying our stroll amongst the old buildings along the way. We utilised the coords posted by Brewmaker (thanks) to make a reasonably quick find. Signed the log sheet then replaced as found.

Glad we hadn't noticed the string of recent DNF's prior to our arrival, or we may well have bypassed this one and thus missed the very impressive Harbour Bridge War Memorial in the process. TFTC contactpete/fjmtdk.

Find #2293

Tried my best, and judging by the other reports, I reckon it been hidden someplace else, or stolen. But a really good place to hide one and fun for the family. Smile

13-Feb-18
Despite the recent DNFs, I had a look as I was passing on the way up the hill to the new caches. No luck I'm afraid.

11-Feb-18

10-Feb-18
We didn't find it. But I really did enjoy seeing the replica of the harbour bridge. Really cool!

This is an area I've never been to before. All a bit creepie, really. I can say categorically, that without the hints in the logs, I'd never have got anywhere near this one!!!

29-Jan-18
This took about 20 minutes too long as the coords are out by about 12m and along with no hint, makes searching very difficult! Only after moving every single leaf and bit of rubbish along the fence did we uncover the lowly placed bison. Please update as was mentioned in the ENABLE LISTING last August. For future seekers, try S920 E561. TFTC

23-Jan-18
No luck despite photo help

13-Jan-18

02-Sep-17
Found this a little after the owner fjm replaced the cache a bit of time ago

30-Aug-17
still not there

30-Aug-17
Went back and replaced the cache. The cache is located in a similar spot on a fence about 10m away from the GZ. I can update the coordinates if needed. The cache has been placed low down and make sure to add camo after finding to ensure it doesn't get muggled. Have fun Smile

30-Aug-17
Found it around 7:30 tonight, not long after the owner had replaced it. Nice Small cache.

17-Aug-17
The cache has still not been replaced by its owner Finley. i was under the impression that it was being replaced that day but still nothing, wasted a good hour of my afternoon trying to find a cache that is not there and am very disappointed in the disorganized owner Finley.

05-Aug-17
In process of obtaining cache container. Will be out soon

03-Aug-17
Sent out adoption, will be replaced soon.

Regards

30-Jul-17
Super annoyed to DNF this as it was apparently out in the open. Literally searched for 1 hour and a half and don't find... also as a note to the owner: I bought ur pathtag

27-May-17
After a successful mission around Balmain, I crossed over and made my way to this cache. Despite an extensive search and research through earlier logs I must have put the cloth eyes on when I crossed the main road to get here as I couldn't locate the cache today.....Sad

08-May-17
Found! However had great trouble getting the log book out it was quite jammed!

03-May-17
Yay Team Ward! The location is mentioned in the 'about this geocache' page

01-May-17
DNF for me today. Doesn't help that cache is "10 metres" from GZ by other reports. Maybe a little TLC is in order here.

22-Apr-17
For the umpteenth time, I seem to have struck out here. Following RS' log, all I found was the lid off a systema tub - this may or may not have been the cache?
CC

Took us awhile ... very sneaky but not . Had to scroll through many logs to help us out for this one . Thanks heaps for showing us this area ... history is pretty random but cool

21-Mar-17
After an unsuccessful search last year, dropped by again and the coords are 10m out and it is sitting there for all to see. TFTC.

21-Mar-17
GPS is abt 10m out but as others have said, its out in the open.
