That strange moment when you realise you forgot to log an event cache, it only took me 16 months to remember. Oh well, I do remember attending and it was great fun to sit at the bakery and chat caching with all there. Thanks
I was about to archive the event listing when I realised I hadn't logged the event!!
Thanks to everyone who came to this event and made it so successful. More people came than we expected,
apparently for the food
Happy Birthday GenieJoan!

It was great to catch up with our fellow cachers at this event.... met up with a few people we had not seen in quite a while compared a few stories and had a lovely cuppa away from the cold overcast Ballarat weather.
Congrats to Cybergran V on her 700th find.
Thanks to highrod for setting up this gathering

A non-successful caching day, but at least I get a sticker for attending an event!
Good to meet other cachers, thanks for this event. I can now put some faces to the names in log enteries. Tfte
Attended with Kinkell1 to finally cross off my 7 Souvenirs. Glad to meet up with other cachers, some I had met before and some new faces. Always a treat to go to Beechworth Bakeries and enjoy their goodies.
Great to meet you highrod and thanks for hosting an enjoyable event

As if I needed an excuse to goto the Beachworth Bakery. This was a great chance to catch up with other geocaches and to offload some TB's that I had held on to for way to long. Thanks for organizing this event that was very well attended.
Thanks Highrod for another opportunity to get together. Cakes and Coffee were fab. TFTC
We had great fun at this event mingling with familiar faces and new ones and making new friends, thanks for the event, we really enjoyed it.
What a great event with a lot of chatter and discussion on mysteries and cache hides. Great day and a lot of fun. Good food and good company make for a good day. Thanks Sandra and Aaron for organising the event.

Thanks so much for holding this very well attended event! So many nice folks to catch up with and chat to.
Thanks highrod for a wonderful event. I loved meeting the other cachers. It was lots of fun. This event concludes my Souvenir requirements - Yahoo!
I did not require the event but travelled across with o.kay as she missed our Shepparton event. It was great to catch up with some very familiar faces and put faces to other familiar names. I would have loved to stay and do some more caching in your city but unfortunately time did not allow. Till the next time! Thanks for running the event
Our aim for the day was to attend this event and pick up some puzzle caches along the way. Both aims were achieved successfully.
We stopped here at 2:30 for a delicious lunch and friendly chat with everybody and also exchanged many ideas. Nice to see Kinkell up and about and looking so well here too.
Thanks highrod for putting this event on the calendar for those who needed an event cache. I to some who had travelled from as far as Warrnambool so that the event souvenir was achieved. That shows how much people appreciated your efforts.

Found ourselves a few spare minutes to grab a cuppa and sign the log between other commitments. Thanks A & S for organizing.
Needing an event to fill in the missing piece for the August challenge, this proved a perfect chance to cross it off and to catch up with a few friends. Nice to see Tarshawk from Warnambool and Cybergran and O'Kay from Shepp making a great effort to come all this way. Thanks Sandra and Aaron for organising at such a nice venue.
cheers Phil

We already had the 7 Souvenirs of August, but that could not stop us from attending a gathering with geofriends in a tried-and-tested, yummy, venue
When we arrived, we saw that the place was crowded and sat down at a table where some cachers, some known to us, others yet to be met, were already munching away. They told us that there are so many people that the back room is overflowing. Ah well, we enjoyed the company where we were and, by and by, we saw some friends walking past to order their food, and had some friendly chats. Both of us were buzzing, talking to different people at different times.
The vulture must have taken on the responsible job of doing our paperwork at some stage: when suss finally made it into the main room, she saw that our team name had made its way onto the log and also onto a birthday card. All good.
So, on we went with our socialising - that's what events are for, after all. When A.highrod approached suss with a little piece of paper that had our team name on it, written in the vulture's hand, the CO asked: "Is this yours?" Recognising the handwriting, suss replied: "No, it's the vulture's." Wonder why this note, which contained no other information than our team name, was (A) written, (B) lost, (C) found, (D) worth following up?
Oh, the curious workings of a suss brain! True, no further information was written on the note. However, the same hand that was offering the note, also held a pathtag, which clearly read:
FTF
It takes some people longer to comprehend, but our name had been drawn out of the huge pool of attendees! Woohoo! Surprise accomplished!
Thank you so much for the great event, the excellent choice of venue, and the colourful GCA pathtag! And also for the warm friendship that we have formed with the COs over the last few years. That fuzzy feeling of happiness in great company is one of the things that geocaching is about! [^]

Attended with DoorMatt for a little while. Was lovely meeting highrod, and was great to see such a fantastic turn out of attendees! Down from Bendigo for the day, so we decided not to stay too long - needed to keep finding caches around Ballarat! Thanks for being very welcoming highrod
Thanks for a great event, and it was great to see so many people there. It was a good chance to meet up with people.
Attended this great event which was, as always, a fantastic excuse to have a coffee and catch up with caching friends, and add a few more faces to names
Thanks for the location and hosting another event in the Ballarat area

Wow, such a lot of people to talk to! Great to catch up with some cachers I haven't seen in a while. The snickerdoodles and Ned Kelly pies were yummy! Thanks for hosting this event.
A great place for an event with good food, drinks and company. It was nice to meet and chat with a few new faces and swap caching stories!! And lunch turned into afternoon tea as the afternoon extended until it was time to start the trip back home. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Ballarat to collect the seven souvenirs of August. But we do need to come back and collect more of the many caches around Ballarat. Thanks Aaron and Sandra for hosting the event and giving us a good reason to visit Ballarat.
Chunk says it was well worth getting up in the middle of the night (his night duty equivalent) to travel down the highway to make this event. He didn't need any prodding to stay awake. We both had a ball, catching up with old friends and making new ones. We also brought Roadstergirl with us, who has only done a handful of caches so far, but she gained an insight into the social side of this crazy obsession of ours. Thank you so much Sandra and Aaron for hosting this event.
Attended briefly with Eminor93. We didn't stay for long, too many geocaches still to find in Ballarat
We always enjoy visiting the Beechworth Bakery.
This was a good time as we had already had lunch so could fit in a cake
It was nice to talk to a few cachers we hadn't before during the event.
Thanks for hosting highrod.

Attended with Mum & Dad.
I had fun playing with my friend Cameron and eating the icing off my cake.
Thanks to highrod for the event.

Thanks to highrod for the event.
Thanks Mr and Mrs Highrod for organising this event. In between other commitments this afternoon we managed to find 15 minutes to pop in and say a quick hello.
Wow! Looks like it's going to be a big turn out this afternoon. Please be patient and allow lots of time when ordering. Thanks
Need an event for the challenge, so this is a perfect opp to cross that off and get a few caches in town.
Thanks Highrod
Thanks Highrod
Sorry for the late "will attend" highrod. Chunk is on night duty but wants me to try to wake him up at 1.30pm so we can travel down for this event. Will see how things pan out - it's the equivalent of trying to wake me up at 2.00am. Just prod him if he falls asleep at the table!
We are hoping to collect a few smilies from solved Ballarat puzzles and to catch up with friends in this great bakery. Looking forward to it!
I will be there, I have already received this souvenir but its a great chance to catch up with people and I will get the letterbox while I am in town thus receiving my last souvenir!
Heading up from Drysdale for some caching so might as well meet some folk from the area and have a cuppa
o.kay will be at this event as I am now not able to attend our Shepparton/Tatura Event. Hope to bring Cybergran V too. The Bakery sounds appealing too.
Not totally sure at the moment, but crossing my fingers I can make it. I have it in the Diary.
