Got up early to get this one before the mugglers got up. Could not find. plovers are out protecting the area
Took someone else here today to show this one off but couldn't find it where it shoulf be.
On our second attempt to find this cache, mum was distracted on the phone as my little bro and I ran over to GZ. Before mum could even make it to us we had the cache in our hands. Mum realised tho that it wasn't placed as intended, and when we replaced it we made sure to put it back properly. This was a very interesting cache - muggles would never give it a second glance (if they even bothered giving it a first one!). TFTC
Ducked past to finally mark this one off our "need to complete" list, and located item very quickly. Don't think it was placed as intended, so put it how we expected it to be and checked with EngPhil, who tells us we have replaced it how it should be. A very interesting little find! TFTC brucemoose!

Found it, but on the ground! TFTC.
My Murphy's Law story concerns a big black steam train in a country town in Victoria. I'm sure we had about 3 visits to the town over time, with numerous visits to the train. On the last afternoon of our last visit, I gave an ultimatum of 2 more minutes, and geo-hubby found it at 1 minute 59 seconds!!

I did some very strange driving this afternoon and somehow found myself here. After wandering up and immediately doing all the wrong things, I settled down and read a few logs. Even better, I bothered to check my location in terms of the given coords and found I was meant to be right on it. And suddenly, there it was!
Very novel design here so well done and TFTC!

After detouring tot he western suburbs to join the adventure for friends milestone cache, I was back to finishing my challenge. Next on the list for my 25 D/T challenge was this cache. It was almost dark by the time I arrived and parked the car. I wandered over to GZ and searched the obvious. Hmmmm....nothing there. Upon expanding my search to where the coords actually indicated, I found the sneakily hidden cache. I signed the log and returned the cache to its hiding spot before making my way back to the car and heading off to the next one
All in good condition, very clever and sneaky hide, TFTC

Another fine Autumn day for caching with The Green Geckos.
After the CITO we made our way north again.
This very sneaky hide was just laying around so we put it back where it looked like it belonged.
Cheers from Wagga Wagga in the Riverina, NSW.
Thanks for the cache brucemoose,

# 693 - At Albany Creek for the CITO today and quickly grabbing a few caches with gcraider.
This one had us stumped for a while until we both walked to.... and pointed at... and YES, that was IT!
And misadventures you ask about? How long do you want my story to be? Nope, I won't bore you, but the most serious misadventure happened at my 20th find on our 2nd last day in the U.S. when I had a very nasty fall which meant I was going home in a wheelchair. Recovery was slow, but now, at nearly 700 finds, I am happily hopping around again.

Out on a great days caching with Roostaman.Found this one out in the open. Not really sure where it came from. Might need a visit to replace it properly. # 5990 for us. Thank you brucemoose for placing and maintaining this cache for us all to enjoy.
After a planned walk up Mt Maroon was cancelled due to inclement weather Swellerfungus and I put our heads together for some other caches to fill the gap. A nice DT on offer so we could not refuse a visit. It took us a while to locate this one and it was eventually located thanks to something I had dismissed early on in my search. Thanks for a clever hide.
My Murphy's Geocaching Law which seems to repeat on an embarrassingly regular basis - if you find a tiring, bush bashing route into GZ you will always find a pleasant stroll on the way out.

Another caching extravagant with fellow cacher seffnjarah. We spent the day starting at Enoggera Dam and heading out to Eatons Hill, Strathpine, and ending up at Tichi Tamba, looking for interesting and challenging caches along the way.
'Share my caching misadventures' you say.....well isn't that just opening up a pandoras box.The number of trips, slips, falls and stumbles I have had beggar belief (and that was just today!). My favourite recollection of caching is a 10 hour journey to a cache just a week before being diagnosed with a 99% blockage of the main coronary artery! The only reason I went to hospital for a check up was because of a fall that gave me a saw shoulder...some tests revealed the underlying and major problem. Geocaching saved my life!
This cache was a hard find, but thanks to my trusty companion we had it in no time.
Thanks Bmoose!

Out with geojaegar today to step by step so decided to try this one sure was a sneaky hide tftc
I have a target in mind for Mega, so needed a few smilies this weekend to help me - so out and about for a quick run through the area. I willcredit a recent log entry for giving me the idea I needed for what ended up being a quick find.
Thanks for placing this cache, brucemoose. Found in good condition.

Easter weekend 2nd-6th April 2015 in Stanthorpe, QLD.
With this being the last Sunday of Summer I though I should head out for a little caching.
I hit this area today as there seemed to be a little too many green icons around.
After 1/2 hr of searching I sent out a PAF mess for some help.
From the logs I had an idea what I thought it could and was proved correct when I received a message of help.
No wonder I could not find it, an ants nest has covered the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

Upon arriving, I thought about the title which led me to a certain object. Having not found what I was looking for, I spent the next 15 minutes or so looking for anything out of place. I finally stumbled upon the container. Nice hide brucemoose. If I weren't out of favourites I would tag this one. All is in good order with cache and log.
Having had a quick refreshment at a local fast food takeaway, Ms Maddy and ventured over here. As I was looking for the cache, I get a phone call from home... "I cant find..." "have you looked here..." Im kicking around and leaning on the fence and scouring the sign when I saw the container... "I found it" to Ms Maddy... but the person on the other end of the phone was unimpressed as they didnt find what they were looking for! TFTC brucemoose
Brucemoose you old dog. We needed a clue but in the end, what a great find! Definitely a favourite from me. We'll attempt your Sualti in more favourable weather.
Well isn't this a treat!!
I have been here only twice but was unsuccessful both times. Being on holidays, I knew I had to clear this closest to home. I read through some logs prior to heading out and was able to get an idea of what I was looking for.
Using my GPSr as recommended by previous finders, I walked straight to GZ and had the cache in hand in no time.
Very very clever brucemoose, a fav from me.
My Murphy's Law story - OMG, one of Barb's called Monkey [GC3TQ43]. This was a clever cache, what made it more memorable for me was my self created dramas.

Another great cache from Brucemoose. Found this before going to the local coles. We probably looked suspicious to the muggles driving past but we weren't there for long as we soon had the cache out and signed. TFTC
so with dad working Christmas Day there was nothing else for mum and I to do but do my 25 D/T Challenge.
must have fluked it as when I walked up saw it straight away

After my radio shift today, I didn't have to go to work, and all my family were away, so I had quite a few hours to while away. Mmm, what shall I do??? Ummmm... So a check of my GPSr showed a small collection of green boxes around Albany Creek, and a multi not too far off (I was ignoring all those nasty blue [?]s ) Sounds like a plan [^]
4 from 4 so far, and it was now dark. One last one, then I think I'll make use of the nearby facilities for some dinner. Mmm, those Difficulty stars look a bit ominous... might read some logs first... ohhh, this could be tricky... First thing, follow the GPSr and see where I end up. Definitely got to zero metres, but there's nothing here... Just over there is a much better spot to search... And for the next few minutes I searched lots of spots with no find Back I went to my GZ, and checked something... and look at that!!!! Very neatly done [^] A favourite point for that one!
However, here everything went awry My phone's battery was too flat to take a photo of the container, so I walked back to the car with my phone, GPSr, keys, torch and the cache in my hands, to grab my real camera. However, upon reaching the car and dumping all my stuff, I realised the cache was no longer there Geez Murphy's Law sure came into play for me [xx(] The next minute or so was spent walking back along my footsteps, and I breathed a big sigh of relief when I spotted the cache in the grass Photos done, and all replaced and I was glad to get moving. TFTC, brucemoose. One I won't forget in a while.

Thanks for this awesome hide. My lucky day finding this one. Cache in good condition.
Relying fully on GPS to zero me in I searched thoroughly and sure enough I found this very very sneaky little cache.
Thanks

Thanks to a visit from Brucemoose to my place of work and a slight hint, I have found the little blighter after work tonight with the aid of a torch.

Found this with the rain coming down. Must say if it was not for information from others this would not of been found as it was definitely hidden a way that I would never of looked, because it would never of been accepted to hide this way in Sweden. I certainly hope this is not a common hiding method.
Pouring with rain, thunder and lightning did not deter us. With omaster we made the find but we were a little confused if the location met the guidelines or would satisfy those who claim geocachers are littering the environment.

I certainly know which cache you are talking about with the nightmare caching story I can't say I can match a "if something could go wrong, it did go wrong story" like yours.
Today Murphy was certainly on my side as I had the sneaky little beasty in hand after a considerable search. I like this hide, it certainly had me stumped for quite some time. Finally though the cache was found and I left my signature. I then replaced it as it had been found.

Having recently found a sister cache which took many visits and buckets of tears, this one was almost a park and grab. I really enjoyed the fund, thanks for placing this for us to find.
Out filling in my calendar and decided to give this one another go.
Finally Barb spotted it . Kind of similar to one of the options we were looking for, but not quite the same.
Log signed. Glad to have this one off the map. Can't believe we missed this last time.

well I don't remember seeing that last time so that is good
but I am not sure I found it exactly how the CO put it (email sent straight away)
I have three of these containers and I do like them
not see them used exactly like this one before but
oh dear brucemoose ...
I remember that day as well
I now have http://coord.info/GC4B6QY to show for my efforts

Geocaching with grand kids seems brucemoose is a problem for me. I will be back again before I leave TFTC
Out caching with Crew 153 today, we decided to grab a select amount of caches on the northside of Brisbane.
If there was ever a cache that proves good geocache co-ordinates matter, this is it. Mr Crew 153 and I looked around for a while in suspect spots. I decided to trust my GPSr a bit more. We looked around the GZ and Mr Crew 153 found a sneaky prize.
We signed the log and re-hid it as found. I have found similar caches - but this one is very sneakily done. Well done, brucemoose. TFTC

My Fathers Day gift from the family was a day of caching and I joined Fangsoki with a target to find a selected group of caches on the Northside.
This one was one the list and we only had a few more to find to complete our mission for the day,
It was dark as we parked and I felt a bit exposed as we strolled to the search area. Luckily there was plenty of artificial light around and that possibly helped us in the search.
A sneaky hide which I hope other cachers do not emulate.

Well then MR Moose first I ventured a little wide but soon the GPS had me at the same location as last week. However, I had a very different mindset this morning and the cache was mine. Lucky I had the required tools in the saddle bag or I would not have been able to access the log. You are EVIL [^]
Now to complete my spin for Saturday morning - just another little bike ride.

This one made a moose out of ruzzelz. I've got a feeling the eventual story about finding this cache could well be the feature on my part
I could not resist calling into my local nemesis on the way home from an Event today. We had a chat at the Event about this one. Thanks.
This must have been the 4th or 5th time here but I had more idea after lots of micros yesterday.
It still took a little while and then the "Oh" moment came. Took to show geopartner in the car.
Sneaky just like the one yesterday was sneaky micro in the bush.
Yep I have lots of Murphy's Laws happening to me. http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCGVMK_dianas-bath is the best one on the 27/12/2012 a DNF, then Write Note and finally found it 29/6/2013 Happy reading and laughing.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks brucemoose All good with this cache
A favourite for the many times you brought me here, I think I need a coffee after this

After a quick DNF a while ago, we had a bit of spare time this afternoon so dropped in to try this one again, as it is quite close to home. Last time we came to look the GPS had us in a bit of a no man's land, however, today it had us right on the spot (that we had also confirmed at home thanks to google).
After less than a minute Jenn found the cache! Wow, that was a lot quicker than last time. Now getting the log out proved to be a lot harder than finding the cache today! Eventually, with a bit of help from a nearby structure we were able to remove the log, sign it, and return the cache to it's well-hidden location.
Thanks for the cache, brucemoose - all is good with the cache!

Sneaky sneaky. After a very thorough look and about to give up we finally found it.
Been back to this one a number of times. Run out of places to look. Got hint from one fellow geocacher but still no luck.
May try again after I finish work one day.
May try again after I finish work one day.
Try as I might, I can't really find a story as good as that in the description of a geocaching misadventure. Most that spring to mind simply involve getting a car bogged, nearly flipping a canoe or sliding down a muddy mountain a little bit. But I have come head to head with a similar law of the universe. I always knew it as 'Murphy's Third Law'.
'A task will always take longer than anticipated, even when factoring in Murphy's Third Law'
Even recently I have wound up getting back to the car much later than anticipated. Have you ever paddled a canoe and loaded it onto the car in the dark in winter? It's not the greatest fun known to man. And just the other day I found myself still some 1.5km from the car having climbed a mountain and still with some steep rainforest to navigate without a decent light. Oops!
Net88 had made mention of this geocache near her place and maybe we ought to have a look next time we'e both nearby. Today was just that day and despite it being somewhat peak hour for muggles, we made our way to the closest parking. It's always nice to have no pre-warning of the hide so was really a fresh set of eyes. As I approached I liked the link with the geocache name.
And so we began to hunt about. I quickly gravitated towards one area and it was soon the victim of a frisk-style methodical hunt. But after some 5ish minutes I had no joy. Net started to read the geocache page again as I looked a little more and spotted something. Ah-huh! It was indeed the geocache. At the co-ordinates, as described. Inside was in good condition so we added our names to the logbook, right there on the second slot.
Then I carefully rehid as found. I agree with the above ratings despite a string of DNF's - I guess we get used to a honkingly obvious hide but this one requires a step back to slow down and to actually look for the geocache. TFTC brucemoose

And like that the dnf streak is over
I had passed this cache the night after it was published but I was tired, cold and wanting to get home so after looking for about two minutes gave up and went home to the warmth. Today I was with Captain Terror and thought he could help me look for it.
I parked us in the car park and we headed over to GZ. We started searching about and after about 5 minutes the Captain stands up with something in his hand.
Me "Is that the cache?"
Captain "Yep"
Me "I am really glad I brought you"
So yet again, as usual, I owe yet ANOTHER smiley to the Captain. He is the most valuable tool that I have in my caching kit I wholeheartedly agree with your difficulty on this cache Brucemoose, we can't all have 20/20 pilot's eyes. Thanks for the cache, you couldn't hide the next one OUT of my little radius though could you?

Tried our luck here today, but came up empty handed. Will be back - 2 closest unfound are brucemoose caches!!!!
No luck today. I searched as best I can while the muggles were about. I may come back latter.
Hmmmm. Stumped a couple of high scoring cachers. Have bumped difficulty up half a notch.
First to DNF today. Looks like another nemesis for me. Take a few goes but I'll get there.
Was feeling around and felt something jump on my hand. It was a spotty ghecko. I jumped 6 feet. Felt as though I nearly landed on top of the structure.
Will be back for another try soon.

Seems to be a lot of page views but no DNFs. If people are not finding it, may have to increase the difficulty.
We weren't going to log this as a DNF, since we really only gave it a cursory look due to the massive amounts of cars going past! However, to please the CO we will DNF it We did look for a little while, but it must have been beer o'clock, because there were lots of cars around and we decided to stop looking.
One day we'll go back when there is hopefully less people - I'm guessing an early morning trip would be better

#1246: *FTF* at 19:30. Surprisingly no monkeys to be seen, where are they tonight?
Hmm, kid bedtime, and a cache published only a mile or so from home. Well, I can go find it and be back home in time to tuck the kids in....
...so into the car I go. Hmm, says I. D3, micro, brucemoose. Game on.
Got to GZ, nobody around. Looks like I won't be needing the torch, either....
....after three or four minutes of discounting all the usual suspects (and a few unusual ones), I cursed the cache owner and headed back to the car for the torch.
Meanwhile, a screech and a *crunch* from down the road. Uh-oh, that can not be good. But, I can't see anything from here, so I'll just keep looking...
Another five or so minutes of cursing the cache owner and I spied something unmistakable. Oh, hello there little cache. [^] I think I'd disturbed it unknowingly during a previous pass through the spot, as it was clearly not positioned as intended.
Opened it up and, unsurprisingly, found a blank log. Woo, *FTF* for EngPhil at 19:30 on the dot.
Replaced the cache as I believe it should have been, and as I returned to the car, I noticed a small white car had pulled up near GZ. Hmm, wonder who that could be....
I pushed my "found" log and the car drove off moments later. Guess they just weren't that interested after all
Heading home, I found an unexpected amount of traffic coming from an odd direction. As I pulled out onto the main road, I discovered why -- the road was blocked by an ambulance and the remains of a car. A fire engine soon came screaming up, too. I hope everyone's OK, and I really hope that wasn't a cacher heading for this cache... [B)]
Thanks for the cache, brucemoose. That's just pure evil -- just what I would expect from you. This one could easily have taken much longer.
As to Murphy, well, I'll just post a link to this log, eh? http://coord.info/GL436WXK
