Due to the Covid 19 lockdown & the need for everyone to keep within their "bubble", same reason as playgrounds are off limits, so are physical geocaches until further notice. Try some cracking puzzle/mystery caches, and get find the finals later, when it is safe.

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!

Nice loop walk and pleased to get the find here.

On my way home from the HCMC Weekend away, I stopped off here for a swim to cool off - again. But I had my GPS with me this time, and it took me straight to the cache (which I had walked past last time with my wayward phone). All in good order. Thanks for the cache.
During our vacation in New Zealand we did some geocaching. We saw a lots of amazing places and say thank you to everyone who shared his geocache with us.

that location is a gem, didnt know about it up until today and had a good time breathing in the summer vibe from across, where kids had fun in the water

On my way home from the HCMC Weekend away, I stopped off here for a swim to cool off. Afterwards I went for a walk to try and find this cache. Phone took me to what seemed to be the hint objects, but no cache to be found. Hope it's still there.
Tftc. A great excuse to stop and explore the awesome limestone formations in a lovely spot.
TFTC.. and for giving an extra bonus for bringing our tangata whaiora to this lovely easy walk.
Great hint and coords led geodad Matini264 and I straight to it for a quick retrieval!

While Mr Beauty was scouring the rocks on the hill looking for the cache, Mrs Beast sat down to watch and found the cache.
Thanks for placing some cache here. We could so easily have driven by on the State Highway and not noticed the limestone formations and lake to visit! We started on the nearby earthcache circuit, then diverted off to add on the lake walk, starting with this cache. We searched around some larger targets before finding the cache neatly tucked away between some smaller ones. We think the cows have paid a recent visit and left a little extra cache covering! Good view over the lake. SL. TFTC.
I had never noticed this spot before. Didnt have time to explore theplace this time but will come back another day to do the full circuit. Quick find with this one.TFTC
After a little search around we found a little suspicious hiding spot which match coordinates exactly. However the spot was empty!! Poop!!
Another great view from here. Had to look around a bit for this one. Needed to trust our gps. Thanks SaltyCacheNutZ.
A beautiful day to spend a few hours enjoying the location. We walked, picnicked, and sat to watch birds and a paddle boarder. After sitting to enjoy the view, I made a quick find. Thanks.
Decided to find somewhere to stop on the way back south where we could also exercise our canine friend and saw a pile of caches in a green spot on the map so we stopped here. GAR spotted the cache in a spot I'd already gone past, using his phone to get near GZ (turns out the caches I thought I had put on my GPSr were not in fact there [:-(]). After signing and replacing it was onward around the lake. Thanks for placing SaltyCacheNutZ!
Stopped here to have a break on the drive back to Hamilton from Paihia (and to collect some caches in the area). Enjoyed the walk around to this one. The lakes was flat and reflection were great. The rocks made interesting formations. Cache found after trying a few likely spots. Cache all good and thanks for the placement. Went and sat on the nearby seat for awhile to enjoy the view before continuing around the lake.
After doing the earthcache, carried on for these trads. Found a nice comfy seat and the cache soon after.

Feels like a long time since we have been home to enjoy exploring our own backyard, so off today to explore Kauri and around Lake Waro, but also a chance to collect some previous DNFs that have been updated. What an awesome afternoon of caching was had (although now to deal with the sunburn consequences). 22 caches in 3 hours of adventure, we even had to go for a swim to collect a cache, this was our tenth cache of the day. Took ages to find in the heat of the day but partner was adament that he had to find this one
A hide tailor made for geowife's attentive stylings while I huffed and puffed all about the show. Finesse you see, that's what you often need to find hides like this one. I was glad at least one of us was outwardly cool, calm and collected while I was schzitzing up a storm, lord it was hot. Cache found, signed returned, back to the earthcache. Thanks for placing.
This one took a wee while to find, but find it I did. Cheers.
Next part of the holiday, driving and walking between Whangarei and Paihia.Time to find a few little boxes.....
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Whangarei Day2.
We spent a delightful day in the outer region of Whangarei, driving through the rolling country side then onto the sea side where many surfers were enjoying the waves.
A great variety of locations & hides were found.

Found with GrimRaider after gathering the info for the nearby earthcache. This hide had me looking for a while but G came along and soon had the CIH. Log was a little damp, so I put it with another fresh sheet of paper in the cache. Great views and wonderful rock formations here. TFTC

Good hide. Very wet today and already had two blow out in jandals so pleased I didn't have to clamber too far
Very wet today found cache quickly in good condition and dry after all the rain nice area to visit...still people swiming..very brave tftc:):)
Checked on cache & it is still there nicely tucked away. Added a hint to make it easier
Holidays in New Zealand! We have been looking forward to them for years. We had lots of time to prepare ourselves for a great trip. As geocachers, we also picked out a number of great caches. Armed with a "to-do list" and accidental encounters we were lucky to log many caches. Thank you for placing them and keeping the game go on!

Amazing rock formations! This, in my opinion, is what geocaching is about. Being brought to such great places one might not find otherwise. A favourite tick. TFTC SaltyCacheNutZ.
Up top end of town this morning doing some gardening for a family member.Headed to Waro after finishing for a quick walk.Easy find and great views over the lake.TFTC.
A quick find while out on a leisurely stroll while off sick with the a cold. Had a rest on the nearby seat and enjoyed the view. TFTC
Todays plan was for a further attempt to increase my unique Minutes for the 400 Minute Challenge in Manawatu. I only needed an extra dozen or so to tip me o=ver the magic mark and, with a plan to head further North than before (whilst a cacher), there was a good chance of success. Built the plan aroubnd the barrier caches spread evenly along the upper S H 1 and also another couple of Letterbox hybrids and an Earth cache at Hikurangi. The hope to also fit in Waipu Cove and Mangawhai Head was a step to far. Settled for 53 caches all up, 23 new minutes so mission accomplished and I can now claim another D/T for my grid. Many thanks to all the C Os whose caches I found today. Got to see some cool sights of lower Northland and help my little missions along. Got all the North ones on the way up and the South ones on the way back down. Yay

Same as everyone else I grabbed this whilst doing the earth cache. Nice placement and great views and scenery around

On a mission this weekend with Cats&Dragons, with a the main goals of reaching Cape Reinga to find the Virtual caches up there and the 35 and 36 degree South challenges, plus with anything else in between. We had a great time touring around Northland, and it is a pretty spectacular place. Being from Southern Northland, it has reminded me that I need to visit this place more.
The initial plan was to head up the west coast and on to Ninety Mile Beach (which was a huge highlight of the trip) and then down the east coast, but the plan was flexible depending on progress. We mostly achieved our ambitious plan, but due to time restraints had to cut back a bit from the planned list. If we had another day I think we would of achieved most of what we had planned.
Some of the figures for the trip were, 1600km's travelled in a 48 hour period, 37 hours of caching, 4 hours of sleep, and 7 hours driving up from Hamilton and back, with a total of 176 caches found!!
Thanks to all the CO's for placing these caches and showing us around Northland.
Had a mare with this one, thought I'd checked an area but had completely missed it, lucky C&D double checked the spot.

This weekends little adventure was in the company of HKCB (as we'd both been given leave passes by our respective partners) so off we set.
The primary goals this weekend were to collect as many of the earthcaches as time would allow, the two virtuals, and complete both the requirements for the S35 & S36 challenges. Mind you this did not stop us working to collect anything else that we could find as time allowed.
It was a great trip with the weather playing its part so that we saw a great variety of countryside between caches and far too little sleep.
The result was 1600kms (over 48 hours), 189 caches (35 hours caching) & 4 hours sleep, not bad for a couple of beginners. Thanks to all the CO's and those that maintain the caches for us to collect on our too brief tour of the north.
Finally its Sunday and time to start to head back south for home, however before that happens we have a whole lot more caching to get through. This is the ninth for the day of many I hope to come, collected while grabbing the nearby earthcache
Thanks for the placement

Just turning into King St, I pulled over to get some neat fotos of this area. Then moved into this park to collect this cache. The GPS seemed to put me there, here and everywhere, but persistence paid off and I was able to yell out a "Gotcha baby!". A few more caches then back to my motel in Whangarei for some much needed wine and cheeses.
Found while doing the requirements for the nearby earthcache . SL, inspected the loot, TNLN, TFTC
After a beautiful trip in the area we stopped grab a couple of caches, dive for one and enjoy the beautiful walkaround the limestone formations to complete the earthcache. Beautiful spot. TB dropped off.
We rocked it! we are nearby completing the requirements for the earthcache, when we took a quick detour to find this cache. I was a little worried that it would not want to be found, but after a short search, and good co-ords the cache was ours. Thanks for the hide and the adventure.
On the way round the Limestone Formation we found this one - and a great view as well.
Thanks for showing this nice place.

Enjoyed the short walk around the lake today. Beautiful cloud reflections on the lake's surface. The cache took me a bit longer to find than it should have - bit out of practice! Thanks for the cache
A first find on her own for miss 4 today. She was chuffed! Swapped out a pathtag for her. TFTC
Found with my brand new geo-hubby Mushin on our honeymoon trip around NZ! This one we got on New Year's Morning. Strangely there were some people taking a morning swim in the lake here. Huh! The rock formations here were amazing! TFTC!

Easy find. Lovely looking treasures. It wasn't good weather for swimming so we'll be back for the other cache here another time. Recently watched the Russell to Paihia ocean swim from my parents house and wondered if you were out there SaltyCacheNutZ. TFTC
A great view of the lake. Found this cache in the company of geomum while completing the neary earth cache. TFTC
Great cache. Wouldn't have found it without the hints and logs. Still very much there. Well hidden.
This cache hadn't been published on my last visit here in March, so good to have a nice quick extra cache to grab after taking a "dip" in the lake.

Found with Redants while on our Far North Road Trip to the Winterless North. We found ourselves in some interesting places that we would not have visited had we not been searching for caches. Thanks to all the cache owners.

Thanks to HotrodPete for putting the baggie on the cache. It kept everything nice & dry until I could get around to some maintenance... this has turned out to be one of those odd/funny/mysterious caches I've had over the years! unfortunately the nice rock camouflage I'd carved out went missing quickly... and today I discovered the original waterproof logsheet & note to muggles must have gone missing from the start too. Just as well a mini diary trinket was there & has inadvertently become the logbook. Today I came equipped with a replacement container and went to the park bench to transfer contents, when lo & behold- there was the lid, just laying there haha.
It certainly does!!! I have walked on the other side previously.
Removed two TBs.
Cheers for the cache.
