Down for another GCLOGAN event and looking for another full day of caching, I could got an early start for the day.Quick find.I found your cache, Fat Bottomed Girls - Bottom Bracket Cup today. This is my 3413 find.teamdfl, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 151 - Logan Day 4. GCLOGAN event day 3. Another day starting with early morning canoeing. Another large group formed up at the start and got ready to go at the turn of the tide. The weather was very different to yesterday, dry, but a but of wind for added entertainment. The Armada got underway once the tide had turned and there was a great time paddling down the river, collecting the ten caches along the way without any issues. Pack up and transport back to the start was next and then there was a bit of free time until the lunch time event and the afternoon activity of way too many multi's. The Midday flash mob was an interesting effort and we got to hear about another caching opportunity next year in Caloundra. Then it was time for the multi's. Our group of Kitty Katch, Smitten Granny and albida33 managed nine, and at times we were caching alongside several different tea,s. It was a great way to meet new people. There are lots more. From here it was back to the caravan for a very wet evening and a light meal inside t escape the downpour of rain. More paddling tomorrow and a few other activities as well.As we awaited the start of the midday event, there was time to join the procession across the park to visit this cache before the formalities began. Thanks for the cache teamdfl49293.16 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 24 Hours 24 Finds A#291**Albida**
We found ourselves close to this cache during our GCLOGAN gallivanting so we had to stop to make the find. Thanks teamdfl
Sometimes caches grab your attention by their name.. like this series. ?? We didn't manage to find many during our time at the GCLOGAN events but the loop ride looks well worth further investigation. We found the cache while at the Flash Mob event. Strange guy hanging out here...? Not when a mob of geocachers come hunting. ?? TFTC teamdfl.
Yes, well this was interesting, to say the least. After arriving early for the GCLogan event, I decided to look for this trad beforehand.I had just finished signing the log and replacing the cache, when an old muggle appeared out of nowhere, enquiring about what I was "after". Turns out he wanted something quite different to what I wanted .... ?????? Luckily Alisnan turned up at an appropriate time and he soon scuttled away. Apparently this park has somewhat of a reputation...!! TFTC
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. ???????????? (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. ??????[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. ???????? Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - ?? Logan Geocaching ?? [^]??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
We came for todays event in this park and arrived a bit early to allow for some caching. This was our first find today. As we walked towards GZ, we met a couple of other geocachers who had already visited your cache. After a quick chat we headed to GZ and made a quick find thanks to the good hint Thank you. ??
Found with a group of ladies to avoid the random stranger hanging around the park.
GCLOGAN TripFound with the group while attending the flash mob, I am travelling with GrimRaider to GCLogan and then to western NSW on our first trip with the van. Thanks for hiding this cache teamdfl
I arrived early for the GCLOGAN Flash Mob event so took the walk over to this nearby cache. I thought that there were 2 geocachers in the vicinity of the hide but it turns out that only one was a geocacher and the other a muggle with no connection whatsoever to caching. Luckily my approach made him move on. TFTC
After a great morning paddle with the GC Logan SInkers crew i enjoyed the event nearby and was just about to leave when i noticed a cache nearby . Of course i could not leave without turning it into a smiley and thats just what i did. What a great day to be a geocacher. Thanks for all the fun
Quick find after the flash mob event at lunch today, with geojohns. We collected the trackable to move on as well. TFTC
A group assult was made on this while attending an The Flash Mob Event in the same park.So we followed the crowd and added our name to the log.TFTC
After double paddling the Logan River, ZenMaster Beardman75, Peppa and I cruised the streets of Logan before the lunch time event. Found this one before the event kicked off. Thanks teamdflFind #6423
This cache was found and signed as part of the group attending the nearby Flash Mob event. TFTC teamdfl SL
Quick find after an event in the nearby park. I was told there may have been some undesirable activity earlier around GZ but it was fine when I attended and meet a lovely couple from Victoria on a northern caching adventure.Cheers
Thanks for organising this beautiful event to catch up with new and old friends Tftc. teamdfl
After starting the day with a paddle on the Logan River, we continued to search for couple of caches - before heading to the Flash Mob event. After that event we did some Multis, then couple of trads on the way to our accommodation. This was one of our finds . We signed the log.Tftc teamdfl
Like others before me I have come down here seeking a few caches which may require swimming for the April challenge. There has been a lot of roadwork done in the area and although it looks like it is nearly complete the road into this park has been left in a bad state. I made it in to the park and not surprisingly the only people around were construction workers having their smoko. The park is quite lovely and well kept. In fact it looks like it has been recently mown so it was an easy stroll down to GZ and a nice quick find. The creek was up high after yesterday's rain and the cache had quite a lot of water inside but the logbook was still dry and in good condition. Thanks teamdfl for another great cache in the FBG series!
All good here. Cache stayed above the tide this time. Lot of debris on the ground at GZ so take care
Second cache attempted in this series this morning. after success near the soccer fields, we drove around near to the golf course. A few parked here today with not a lot of park activity, which was weird. Anyway, the dog and I headed towards the creek and with the fall in ground towards the edge we were out of sight of anyone. This cache took a little searching but eventually spied the container. Oh I get the hint now. All good here and thanks for the writing implement. Thanks very much for this series teamdfl. Now heading on foot to the final for the day. Cheers
I decided to head down this way for a few caches with a particular attribute with this being one of them. My coordinates were out by about 9m but once I spread my search, it was an easy find. Tftc
Needing some specific attributes for an April challenge, I had collected a couple of caches closer to the city, then headed to this area to collect the next three.
Parking in the picnic area, I made my way to gz. I looked in the wrong spot for a little while but then turned my attention further afield where I found the cache. Log signed, all replaced as found, it was on to the next.
Thanks teamdfl for the cache.

An early morning start with nikid1 with a focus on a specific attribute for a challenge. We headed across the park being serenaded by a group having breakfast & a sing along. I spotted the cache as we neared GZ then it was just a matter of getting close to it & adding our names to the log.
Thanks for the cache teamdfl

Out for a morning of caching with KerriMG chasing some attributes we need which lead us to this side of town.
A group of muggles where nearby with instruments having a play and sing. Lovely way for them to start their day.
We walked right on by and KerriMG spotted the cache as we approached GZ. All good here.

We could see that not long ago you could have held an Olympic swimming event here. The recent maintenance bouyed us that the cache was still alive as I’m sure we have spent quite a bit of time recently looking for caches that were swept away. Nice to see the tether from hell had kept this one in place.
The other nice thing to notice was that the park had been recently mowed. It still didn’t stop our shoes from getting waterlogged.
It got us to thinking that yards are so small these days so is it worth owning and storing a mower or buying a really good pair of scissors to cut the grass? tftc

This one is good to go. Survived remarkably well. The poor tree it is in almost has not but cache is still there and inside is all dry.
If it is flooded forget it. This will be underwater currently. Taking offline until I can check it is ok.
Easy find. Cache was a bit wet. Log is OK. 1 from 3 so far today. Thanks for the cache.
This is almost in the creek again. Dried it out. Added some more silicone. All good till the next flood.
Today, jesswrigley and I started the day with our attendance at the Slacks Creek CITO event. Once the area was cleaned of litter, jesswrigley and I separated, and so I continued to stay around the Slacks Creek and Logan area. I primarily followed the *Ugo in Slacks Creek* Wherigo as it took me a tour of the vicinity, and then later, I visited the centre of Logan and completed the *Logan Gardens* Adventure Lab. Just after lunch, the torrential rain started, and I decided to head home earlier than anticipated.
This park was quite empty today except for a few parked cars. I think the damp weather was keeping everyone away from having picnics and BBQs. I did see a random guy wandering, and guessed that he may have stayed overnight here or something? I parked as close as I could around the turning point, and then walked the remained to GZ, where I soon spotted the tethered cache container. It was nicely themed with container decoration, and wondered if others in this *Fat Bottomed Girls* series was also similarly themed. The cache container had a fair amount of water in it, so I suspect the glue used didn't provide a seal against water, so perhaps some maintenance to the container could be done to future proof this geocache? I attempted to empty the water as best as I could while I signed, but the swag contents bag still had a fair bit of water in it. At least the logbook had been protected, and was dry and able to be signed without issue. Thanks teamdfl for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

After our three day lockdown thanks to “the covid” I thought I’d avoid the walking dead and enjoy some socially distant caching...
This was my first find for the day... and once I stopped looking at the GPS it was a quick find... tftc... left some swag that I retrieved last week from a cache that didn’t have room for swag...

Found reasonable quickly. Was water in container but everything inside was dry.
Beautiful spot. Tftc!

Now I can see why I could not find it in the dark. Was looking in the wrog area haha. Great hide though.
I needed two things today. A geocache find in my calendar and a bit of a walk. This would fulfil one and a bit of those. There's not a lot of geocaches near home that excite me anymore, but this series does deliver a decent little experience, so I was happy to hop in the car to get a little closer.
For whatever reason, I prioritised getting a podcast playing than navigating while I drove, so managed to head here on memory. Not an area I visit much and I've often pondered how lucrative the golf course nearby is - is it abandoned even?
A quick carpark was found and I realised this was as close as I'd get when I then checked the app. I did a double take, because I have this distant memory of having found a geocache here before. Might've been before the last flood, so I headed off.
Nicely, the area was deserted, so I wandered to the right area and semi-distracted by my listening, it took me a few places before I spotted the geocache tucked away. It sure isn't going away in the next flood!
The logbook was extracted (all dry) and a few drops of water emptied out. I signed the new, blank logbook before replacing all as found. A bit more of a wander around the park before I chose to head off and grab another. Thanks for this geocache, teamdfl

Will try again when the sun is up. All trees seem to be littered with huntsman at this time.
Change of plans today.
Had to drop off the rest at Garden City, some caches in this part of Logan for me.
A young man was sitting next to GZ, I think I disturbed his calm, he left and I could log the cache.
Water in the container, dried out the contents.
Thank you for this one

Out to find a cache today, I decided to pick this one as it looked an easy cache to find. GZ was nothing special and checked all the other trees nearby but no cache. Reading through previous logs got a clue as where to look and finally found it. 15mins... how hard was that! And not a nano. All good with this cache.

Friday. Mr SP arrived here to play golf at the nearby course and was a bit early so thought he would pick himself up a cache! It was 6:30 in the morning and freezing. A short walk will be okay thought I. By the time I had walked there, looked at every wrong location (thank you compass) and then found something larger than I had expected, and returned to the car, I felt like a popsicle. As the day warmed up, so did my golf game, i played better than my handicap, so a good day for caching and golfing!
This was the only cache found on today's trip.
Thanks ***teamdfl***, for showing us this place.

With the GPS bouncing around, the hint was read...started at the holiest tree and the cache was soon in hand..Great spot!...TFTC!
My coords were out by 8m but thanks to good hint managed to tack the cache successfully. TFTC
Great find today on Anzac Day as there are a couple of soldiers in the cache we left a silver heart key ring to remind them of home and their loved ones

Dried out the container. New logbook and swaps. Moved it a little to a new location too.
On the way to this cache E taught me how to import queries into cachly! So clever
Snickersallan wade short work of the find. It was a bit damp inside but there was no indication that the container was damaged... Snickersallan did some magic with a new plastic bag and off we went. Did a bit of CITO here too. A beautiful and well kept spot. TFTC

Joined forces with EatCacheSleepRepeat and E_Smiley today to find a few local caches. This was my second visit since a DNF in 2017, so pleased to have turned this into a smilie face, neat hide here.

I was out caching with Selva Girls today, and we called in to claim a smilie at some Fat Bottomed Girls here, to help with a challenge. A bit of a hunt here until the gps settled and then we made a quick find. Tftc teamdfl
On our way home from the Gold Coast, stortigirls asked me to detour to two caches that she needed for a particular challenge. I parked the geomobile and we strolled to GZ. There, our phones jumped about and refused to settle on one spot. Finally, using my geosenses, I located the cache. With our names added to log, we continued on our way. TFTC
Driving home after doing a good deed and decided to grab a cache. This location had shady parking and I was soon wandering about near the creek Then I looked up and the cache sitting in plain sight Poor thing is no longer tethered and the loggy is soggy.
I have no idea what a bottom bracket cup is or whether it will hold coffee ️ but pleased to note my bottom is shrinking on a keto diet challenge.

Today’s plan was to get a few caches to accumulate more of the souvenirs available for the Hidden Creatures challenge. Met up with gunnie69 at Logan Central to continue our plan for the day. The journey today made our way form Logan Central down to the Loganholme Hyperdome.
Cache 17 of 27 for the day.
Thanks teamdfl for the hunt and the cache!

All nice and quiet in the area today which, given the sun was now up and the temp rising, was a bit of a surprise for Ghostgums and I. [?] The positive, apart from being able to hunt freely, was a nice close parking spot and a short leisurely stroll to GZ... [^]
In location, I picked the wrong object to start hunting and was never going to find the container. I glanced sideways and spotted what I was looking for, just as Ghostgums arrived in that spot and grabbed the cache.
He had the pleasure of adding our names to the log and returning the container as found.
Cheers teamdfl.

After yet another visit to the local medical establishment ( something to do with a finger and a mountain bike) I tried once more to seek out this Fat Bottomed Girl. Now i must say she would have been bobbing about somewhere around here during my last visit but I would have needed swimmers and possibly diving gear.
The cache obviously did not appreciate the damp surrounds from last week and needed water released from the interior. The plastic bag has somewhat protected the log book but it is damp in places.

I stayed the night at the inlaws last night, so I took the opportunity to crawl out of bed at sparrow fart and do some caching before everyone woke.
I figured I'd have the place to myself at this hour but a truckie had spent the night in the carpark and was just getting up. Not sure if he noticed me wander over but once near GZ he was out of sight. I managed to startle a little water dragon as I got to GZ and for the first time ever, I actually saw him crawl through the branches then plummet into the water below. I always hear them but have never seen it happen.
The cache was soon after found and signed.
Thanx again DFL

Found easy once we were at the right tree. Bag wet and a little damp inside. Tftc
Next up, we decided to visit this cache with its recently replaced container . Very evidently this park was covered in water from the after math of Cyclone Debbie not too long ago, with the dried mud still evident. Fortunately today it was all dry for a quick find here. Tftc
The park is open. Play equipment still out of bounds, but that is not where the cache is.
New log in this one.

Could be a bit wet down here for a while. May need a boat to get to this one. Temporary T5
Replaced this one today. The old one is gone. It was tethered so it did not go on its own. Moved to a new location.
