Excellent cache very creative gets a fav from me. Tftf

09-Jun-15
Very clever build and the log is snug as a bug in a rug. We found in the dark after a bit of scratching around, and a muggle suddenly appeared out of nowhere giving me a minor heart attack. TFTC

What better way of filling in time before heading to a nearby movie with the kids than to grab a cache. After some initial groaning from the back seat they soon cheered up when they had a chance to run around and blow off some back seat boredom and we soon circled the likely suspect but even with 4 sets of eyes this one still eluded us. After a whole 3 minutes they had lost the will to search any more leaving me to go alone and after a few more minutes of reading logs and going back over old ground I soon spotted something that required a closer look and sure enough I had he cache in hand. Nice hide HADO KARP, a very simple but elusive hide. TFTC.

Out this afternoon picking up a new PC, so that I can search for caches even quicker.
Found on the way home, quick find, interesting hide.

Found by Julius Pompei on 10/5/15 with Angus GEO, nick.peps and angus b.

As we were walking around the tree we actually pulled the cache out without realising. Later, we picked the cache back up and realised what if actually was.

1/03/2015 Found @ 4:58 pm, Find # 4143.

After finishing up at a nearby event, I stopped off to find a couple of caches before heading home, this was one of them.
I headed over to GZ but the GPSr had me in the open between the trees so I continued to the one that looked more promising, shortly after the cache was in hand and I was signing the log.

Thanks to HADO KARP for placing this cache

Found with day1976. Just up the road doing the multi and spotted this one. Not the easiest find but that was because the coordinates had suggested another spot. Tftc

01-Mar-15
Spent a little longer than we should have on this one. I hadn't got the co-ords in my GPSr so I was relying on sharkiefans phone. I had anticipated a style of hide, but I was mistaken and it was sharkiefan who finally found the creative cache. Thanks HADO KARP.

25-Feb-15
What a great cache. Took a while to find before ryanofoz spotted it! Had to wait for a few muggles to pass before putting it back! TFTC Smile A favourite point is deserved Smile

25-Feb-15
Plenty of dog walking muggles around on a lovely evening meant we could only search the GZ at a distance. After they all left it took a long time before I noticed something different. Fuzzej ran back to the car for the tweezers to retrieve the log from this well put together cache. Cheers.

Cool hide! Thanks!

I'm out collecting multis this afternoon but I was literally driving past so I stopped for a look. Surprisingly I grabbed the cache immediately when I walked up. It usually takes my ages to find caches like this.
Thanks HADO KARP for the cache. A fav for the camo.

18-Feb-15
Found 3:20:00 PM, during a lazy Wednesday afternoon cache run.

TNLN, thanks HADO KARP.

17-Feb-15
Came out for an early morning walk while visiting family overnight. While they were still asleep, I was out caching. Is that a familiar story?
Anyway, I wandered over to this park, which amazingly was just outside the familiar territory as a primary school age kid living with a kilometre of here! I hadn't ever been here, so it was just great to check it out. At 7:00 in the morning there are dog walkers passing here about every 4-5 minutes - it's a statistical fact established with a sample size of three!
So in between times, there had to be some quick and focused searching. At one point I had my hands right on GZ without really knowing and then a double take and I soon had cache in hand. The log was signed during another 4 minute break in the dog walking traffic and the cache was safely returned to it's correct spot.
Thanks for bringing me here HADO KARP. It was fun this morning to find your well hidden cache.
Cheers and greetings from Canberra

Excellent hide .one of the best. TFTC

08-Jan-15
This one took me a bit longer than it should as I started my search on the side of the tree away from a nearby work muggle and was looking for completely the wrong thing. When I finally progressed around the tree it was immediately spotted - cute! Smile

08-Jan-15
Approaching GZ I had something else in mind, so began looking here and there trying to spot it. Changing tack I kept on looking and was soon surprised when I discovered this cool hide. Very apt container too!
This is quite a charming looking linear park, but I didn't explore all of it today.
Thanks to HADO KARP for placing this cache.

Popped out for half an hour or so early this evening to hunt for one or two caches to kick off the year while the heat was still keeping most (sane?) folks inside, and this was my second find, after Mayfield Park about 15 minutes earlier.

My GPSr initially had me combing the area around what turned out to be completely the wrong tree, but after moving away a little, letting it settle again and moving back in, I found myself a few metres closer to another. After searching in all the wrong places (where I'd have expected a hide to be usually in a location like this) something caught my eye as being possibly not quite right, and a few seconds later I had an "Aha!" moment...

... quickly followed by an (almost!) "Argh!" moment, as while I had indeed found the cache, a natural guardian of the eight-legged and somewhat hairy variety was seen to scuttle away as when I suddenly exposed it to the light. [:p]

Which takes away not at all from the fact that this was a lovely bit of camo/cache construction, which ties in wonderfully with the title.

Signed the log, visited some trackables. Thanks for making my second cache for the year such an interesting one, HADO KARP!

That was a good challenge but also an easy find. I think you will like it.

We found it! TFTC

16-Dec-14
I dropped by this cache on the way home from visiting my elderly mother. I parked in McLochlan St and wandered the short distance down the path to GZ.

I did a 360 degree rotation around GZ and thanks to the apt cache title I spotted the very clever cache. I waited for a dog walking muggle to pass by before retrieving the cache. Luckily I always carry an extraction tool so I managed to get the small log out of the container and sign it at 5:15 pm. TNLN. I then carefully returned the cache to its hiding spot between more dog walkers....there seemed to be a rush on here today! Surprised

Thanks HADO KARP for the very well-crafted cache in a lovely park with lots of magnificent old trees. Cool

Was with Winniethebear previously when she notified me of this cache that she had found previously. I wandered around and was provided a few hints before I found it. I wasn't able to log, think because I didn't have any pens on me, so paid it another visit to log physically. TFTC.

We found this cache today at 11:55am as number 5 of 5 on our Late Morning Deakin Run. On our way home, we headed south to grab this newly replaced cache. "HA" spotted the hide here as the rest of us were looking for another type of hide. Thanks from D, HA, H & A B-A.

hi. cache is back online..

Please be careful to replace in exact position as found. THANKS

Happy caching

Cache appears to have been muggled due to recent gardening maintenance. Will take this off line until a replacement can be found.

Out with a geobuddy joe joe and where on the hunt. Tftc I would say it's a 3 star difficulty rating

12-Sep-14
Well, this has certainly been a strange one.

After the DNF the other day I was discussing it with a previous finder and realised that my GPS had me searching at a completely different tree - so far from the real GZ (at least 15 metres) that I never considered checking the real tree... Hmm - Does wind affect GPS signals??? Surprised

So armed with the new knowledge i returned today - the GPSr guiding me to the right spot this time, where the find was made almost immediately.

TFTC HADO KARP - and sorry about the false alarm! All is well....

09-Sep-14
I have a fairly poor track record with this kind of hide, so wasn't feeling positive as I approached GZ. Plus the extreme wind this morning made the hunt even more challenging, and also had me a tad worried as to the welfare of the cache too, with the wild winds last night.

And with enough time spent and needing to get off to work, I had to abandon my search and come away empty handed this time.

07-Sep-14
Out on a ride, I stopped to search for this one. Look in one place for a while, then looked at another...then back to the first spot...then back to the obvious spot and found this cleverly constructed cache. Thankfully quiet today, so I had time to search, sign and return.

What a ripper! Thanks HADO KARP.

In the Mount Waverley area this morning attempting to clear some caches. Parked near GZ and as I approached, noticed a fellow geocacher, ilovedrwho who had already found the cache. Very thankful she did all the hard work and I only needed to sign Smile

TFTC!

After a few quick laps around I had spotted something a little different, I thought iii just wait until a man walks by so I could grab it, little did I know it was a fellow cacher - robin Yang.

We spoke for a while about caching of course, signed then we were both on our way. One to work and one to do one more cache for the morning,

I love meeting fellow cachers at caches Big Grin

thanks HADO KARP [:x]

While I started looking elsewhere Mrs.R's curiosity produced a remarkably quick result. Nice concept here and a vote from us for original thinking. TFTC.

A lovely day for a walk brought us to a park I'm very familiar with (my initials and an ex-boyfriend's are carved on one of the trees here, embarrassingly) as I grew up further up the hill. Accompanying me were the geotoddler, geodog and geograndma who can now officially claim her title as she was the one to spot this nifty little hide. I think she's gone home quite chuffed and will be bragging to the grandpa who is yet to be converted. TFTC HADO KARP. The cache's title is brilliant and earns a favourite point from me.

Couldn't find it in the dark so I had another go in daylight. ahomburg, I was one of the muggles you saw with their dog.

Took a while to find.
Saw something that looked a little out of place that turned out to be the cache.
Great cache and a fun one to find.

Geo-dog needed a walk, so we thought we'd try this little park. Nice and quiet when geo grandad made the find, but muggle central when we returned from our stroll down the track. Good timing for us. Nice little hide. TFTC.

Nice hide! There was even a "natural" cache guardian at GZ. Overall it was a good find. TFTC!

This is my geodog's fav park. Whenever he escapes from home (dug holes under fence or someone didn't shut gate) the first place I would go to look for him is here. I would yell out his name from the window as I slowly drive by and he would come running at me excitedly, twinkle in his eyes, god knows what mischief he was up to.
Today I walked him there at around 6, knowing that's when the muggles n their dogs leave. Light was fading fast and I was worried I wouldn't make it on time. I looked at the cache title and had enough of an idea what it's about. Arrived at gz, took a few sec to find Smile nice camo. Geodog was not happy he didn't socialise much with fellow dogs today.

30-Jul-14
GMelb had the day off work so we set off on a caching arvo hunting for some new ones published in our 10km zone. We had somehow missed this one being published but picked it up on the new Pocket Query. Arrived at GZ to a very quiet park with the G leading us asstray to begin with, we were looking in the wrong place. On e it settled it took us back to the right place and the cache was spotted by G.
TFTC Hado Karp Nice hide and a fave point from us Smile

29-Jul-14
Took me slightly longer than perhaps it should, but luckily there weren't any muggles, so I could take my time.
Nice design, TFTC.

28-Jul-14
Just saw this on nearby caches and thought I'd drop around. Very quiet in the park considering every other time I have been near it it is usually filled with dogs and owners (including mine). The name is very fitting and once I had branched out it became obvious. TFTC.

Find #1463. Found @ 00:10.

I was passing through the area after collecting a first to find and decided to swing past.

With only a skerrick of juice left in my device, I got to GZ and made a quick assumption and chose the wrong structure. After a few minutes of looking, I used some more precious battery power to determine that I had to "branch out" from my initial idea (see what I did there?)

Almost immediately after I reset my expectations, I spotted the well camouflaged container. I put my mark in the seventh location in the log.

Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache HADO KARP.

Find #3990
Streak: 359 days

I spotted this one the other day when it was published and I was just 2km away at work. But decided to leave the FTF for others as I knew I needed a closeby cache for today as I had a function to attend to at 7pm. It was pretty much dark when I arrived but I had to sit out and wait for muggles to pass before the search began. Luckily it didn't take too long as another pair of dog walking muggles approached in the distance. A well concealed hide.

Thanks to HADO KARP for placing this cache.

Spiffy- and I saw this published the morning but were already on the office. So we waited for lunch but the FTF had gone. Still Spiffy-, IsThisIt?and I headed out and found the cache. Cool camo. Unlike others we did not find this on the ground so it looks to be safe.

23-Jul-14
Was a few minutes too late for FTF! Signed in second place. The wind must have dislodged this one as it was on the ground. TFTC

*FTF*
Not sure how long this one will last -I found the cache lying on the ground.
Nice to meet a fellow cacher - trailrunning - as I was replacing the cache.
Thanks HADO KARP

23-Jul-14
Just as I arrived to work and sat down at my desk this was published (which is becoming a bit too common lately - maybe I need to arrive at work a bit later!) so decided I would just wait until lunch time and knew TrailRunning would have it by then anyway but since I was heading out for lunch today, a cache close by was perfect to fill in my calendar for my P366 challenge.
TurnerFamilyFTG and I headed over here before our lunch appointment and parking nearby to a muggle free park was an excellent start after noticing earlier this morning the DNF.
We walked up to the object in question and the third thing I checked was the cache which was perfect because we weren't going to be late for lunch. Excellent camouflage. The log was quite tight but managed to retrieve sign and return it safe and sound then headed off for a nice Chicken Parma lunch. Mmmmmm, parma. Had some trackables to drop off but none of them were going to fit in here so they just visited.
Anyway thanks HADO KARP for the cache, the hunt and the fun.
