Getting here early and seeing all the overnight campers/ backpackers packing up and dodging all the bits of dunny paper on the way to GZ certainly made for an interesting trip. Took in the hint and soon had cache in hand. Did the legals and replaced as found. TFTCM

A fairly straightforward find, and the view from the cliff nearby is fantastic.
Another great find in the mountains today very chilly but fantastic views thanks for the cache.
Each time I wanted to complete this 1 there was many campers near road & I would be walking between tents in the early morning – today it was bitterly cold with a cold wind that cut many layers of cloths so only 1 tent. As usual your GZ areas are tops & this 1 has an amazing view - TFTC / TFTH / SL
Great day out. Nice views. Kids found it after some searching. GPS accuracy was poor today!
Not too many campers around, and they probably couldn't have seen where we went anyway. Great views of the valley. Tftc!
A short bushbash through campsites and rocks found us at the spot
Its good to see people camping in un- "beautified " sites.
Fantastic views.

We'd come to Mount York with Berghofer Vue in mind, not realising that it's nowhere near the end. (Nothing like no planning!) So this was now our nearest.
We threaded our way through the sleepy campers, who seemed unenthusiastic about another grey cool day on their Oz holiday, and found the track down the hill. We found the cache, after clambering over many old, fallen branches and inked the large logbook. Even on an overcast morning, the view is still worth finding. Thanks rogerw3.

I drove to the Blue Mountains for a long weekend of canyoning and walking and sought out some of the caches along the way. This cache was a straightforward finds being on the coordinates. Thank you Rogerw3 for installing and maintaining this cache.
#1599 A plan was worked out a few weeks ago to have a cache run into the Blue Mountains, with teamMerlin, Splitty Miller JJCC, alnic39 and TARDIS_0061, in order to hit up some higher terrain caches, a particular Old School cache as well as some caches that fill in some missing hidden months. This cache was 5 of 7 I have looked for this one along time ago not long after it was published had plugged the coords into the GPSr late at night & must have keyed the numbers incorrectly as I was heading close to GZ but not close enough
Signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for placing the cache rogerw3

Came out with a group of CITO/Tizzana's regulars to find a couple of caches in the Upper Blue Mountains. I've been this way before, but would never have come this far on my own. Glad to have the support of others.
First of the year for the cache and I.
Followed coordinates down to the GZ and knew where it was straight away.
Out of all the years I’ve spent working and playing around mount York I’ve never really bothered to check if there are any caches down here.
Turns out there’s a few.... go figure (not surprised)

Found whilst working in the area for the day. Surprised to see so many tents around but there was no one to disturb me at GZ. Many thanks rogerw3
Set up our tent nearby and decided to look for a cache before dinner. Went down the wrong path so had to cut across through the bush. Easy find after we ended up in the right area. Tftc!
Awesome find although I always go the long way around Beautiful view! Worth my loving!
In the area doing some hiking with my wife (preparing for a hike on the Milford Track (NZ). TFTC.
Hi there rogerw3.
We found your cache **"York Vue-48"** at 12:28:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 17659).
Today we explored the caches up the Mount York Road (out of Mount Victoria), & thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area. The roads were narrow and twisted, but the views were absolutely spectacular. We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes hidden along the way. Today we found 7 caches (& DNF'd 0). Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Collected a smiley on the way home. Stuck in the clouds and rain today so view was a little grey. Nice spot. Picked up the e14 tb to move on. Thanks for placing.
Visiting the area to do an abseiling course. Great views and no wind right now. TFTC.
After a day abseiling in the area. We all went for a walk around to see the sunset and find some caches. Cheers
This cache was not real easy to find. First there were some muggle campers with all their belongings spread out literally at the beginning of the track. Then we managed to go too far down the track before turning off, so it was back up a bit and then isolating the exact GZ location. We did this and soon found what we had been looking for. Signing the log was easy and all was put back where it had come from before we took the route back up the track to the waiting geo vehicle. Thank you for placing this cache for us and our fellow cachers to find.
What a stunning view and an easy find I was in and out in 5 minutes lol on a mission today!!! TFTC
I'm always finding at least one person camping up here. (Though I've only been here twice now). This cache was the last for the day. A short track walk, with a bit of bush bashing as i found myself of a track 20m east of gz.once there it was a quick find. Only then did i notice the cachers track which led straight to it.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

On our way to Bathurst for the weekend, we stopped by Mt York for a few finds. This was a relatively easy one to get to and the cache was soon located. It's fantastic to find a good sized cache container. Well done rogerw3 and thanks.

This was another find in this most interesting of places. It's obviously a popular camping spot for foreign travellers, a good choice indeed. The well hidden cache was quickly found. It's a good size.
Nice one, thanks rogerw3.

We had time for one more find before returning to Mt Victoria for lunch. I loved the views through the trees. Thanks for the cache rogerw3.
#2800th - Found quickly under the big cork. Looks a busy place for climbers. All part of the fun and challenges on our AroundOz bicycle tour via the highest peak in each State and mainland Territory.

Out caching with Blissbaby and Ratdog12 today,
amazing views were seen all day. My legs were aching from all the climbs we were doing, could be very stiff tomorrow.
No TB in cache.
We did see heaps of backpackers in the area but they didn't bother us today.

A quick and easy find down one of the climbers side tracks. Nice to see another ammo box.
#3261- The two caches at MT York were the main aim of my trip up the mountain today with bikerbuddy. As rogerw3 caches go, this was certainly one of the easier ones. A short stroll and an easy terrain for what would you expect, but.... a good view. Thanks - my only ammo tin so far today. Great to have this as a smilie now.
Reperio at 0805.
After grabbing the nearby replacement cache near the lookout, I took a wander along the road to grab this one. Wandered past a few muggles camping across the road, but fortunately the cache was away from their line of sight. Always enjoy visiting this area.

At Mt York with ASO and bar for the detour to inspect the dodgy cliff side structure nearby it was an easy stroll and seek ... though Mr ASO did say the firestorm had mad the way clear. TFTC
For some strange reason my GPSr refused to settle here, even after a compass calibration. It took a fair while to turn up the simply hidden cache. Fantastic views has I have come to expect from the CO. Thanks Roger.
TFTC,
One last cache before the long drive home Mr Hancock went one way and the rest of us the other way.
Guess who found the cache? Not me by a few seconds.
Visited a group of trackables.

The last find of a super day caching that involved a mass raid on an old Team Chaos cache at Jenolan Caves. On the way home we stopped for a couple more before it got too dark & found this one in the good company of Wazza9 & Nana nel. Quite a few campers nearby braving the cold temperatures. TFTC rogerw3!

With dark closing in, torch in hand, not quite sure where we were going, but soon we all met at the same point, Mr H had the container, I soon signed the log. Then for the drive home, Thanks to rogerw3
Liz and I had a day in the Blue Mountains today visiting Mount Victoria, Mount York, Blackheath, Govetts Leap, Pulpit Rock, Anvil Rock, Leura and home along Hawkesbury Road. 11 caches in all and a wonderful day of exploring and caching.
Not too far off the beaten track and the cache was located nestled in among the rocks.

Loved this geocache. It was so organised and official. It was raining and the cache was still secure and dry. Beautiful views if the rain kept away.
