The fence has been removed and I don't go up to cairns as much as I would like Thank you to all the people who have found Diesel Happy Caching, grannysmith1947 and miss millie geo dog
I didn't have any tools with me to take the logbook out so took a picture instead. Quick find, tftc!
The geokids were attending the SHEP program over the weekend, so we hit the streets of Cairns for the first time in a long time. This was our first stop and the geodad was quick of the mark. The log was beyond full so we squeezed our name somewhere in the middle of the list. It felt great to be geocaching again
On our way to another cache and found this wasn't far out of our way. A tricky little spot to get the cache out of. TFTC grannysmith1947.
7/7/20 405pm Found it. Doing some caches around Cairns while on holidays from Mackay. SL
Found it very quickly. Log book still full so we couldn’t sign either. Please see our photo below. TFTC

There were so many muggles driving by, too bad log was full. This is the smallest cache I have seen.
Beadling around Cairns and region today on a caching discovery tour It is hot but not muggy like Brissy Think I like it here
Located easily once in the right spot with wide open. Got my initials on the full log.

I found this geocache on a trip from Cairns to Townsville with my geosisters @greencordial and @tinylemongrass. Thanks to the cache owners. TFTC. TNLN.
Sadly the newbie to caching found this one AGAIN
Took her like 30 seconds while I was struggling:(
The log book was sadly full, so it will need replacing

@kittkatt044 had some beginners luck tonight and found it straight away. Another great cache for night caching. LOG NEEDS REPLACING!
I wandered past this spot a couple of days ago,
but did not spy the cache [:o]
So Saturday I was back again to find that the bussiness was shut
So with no stealth needed this time,
the cache was a quick find,
in a spot I looked last time

An afternoon drive by. The log was full but the first signatures had faded and blurred from at one stage getting wet so I signed a KB at the start of the log. Thanks for the hide.
Decided to look for this one after a visit to the Cairns Aquarium. It took a short time before I spotted the cache, great spot. Found on a quiet Sunday afternoon, it would be tricky in busier times.
Tricky find at night but got it in the end..
Log is full and needs replacement.
Tricky trying to get it back in the container.
Visited 2 TB.

Another find for the day for the geokids today. Road was pretty busy but managed to snag the cache quite quickly TFTC SL
I was in Cairns on my own for a very short trip (funeral yesterday) and running around doing jobs in the area so decided to pop in and see if I could convert this one to a quick smilie. It didn't take me too long to find, it was just what I was looking for. The log is starting to fill up and there are only 9 places left to sign. Also a brief maintenance note for the owner. I think this type of nano is meant to have an o-ring to keep out the rain. It doesn't have one, and with the impending wet,I wonder if the log will get wet? Having said that, it was perfectly dry and doesn't seem to have seen any rain recently.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache!

Sunday afternoon looked like a good time to get this one. Gathered quickly. Returning is posing a problem. Where have all these cars come from? Using all of our patience up lol TFTC
I found it I found it this was our 2 time looking for it and on our second time looking for it it took about one minute .they hide it very well.

Lucky it’s Saturday because it took me ages to hunt the mite down. Happy to eventually find it. TFTC
Found today with the geokids and always reluctant (yet beautiful) geowife. SL TFTC
I first visited this one when the workers were there and as they came to approach me, I headed back to the car. We came back after work and Geopartner soon had the cache in hand.
Always carry a tott for these caches.
Signed the log and returned to where we found it.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks grannysmith1947 All good with this cache

I looked for this cache back around 5pm (assuming businesses would be shut), but there was significant muggle activity as workers were heading off home.
I caught the attention of one of the workers that wondered what I was doing, I stated I was looking for a Geocache, but that meant nothing to this worker. Thankfully another worker knew what I was referring to and talked to the first worker. I was free to do a good search and found the cache (the cache colour meant it was well camouflaged).
I did not need tweezers to get the log, but wrapping the log back into the container was a challenge.

With everything shut around here it seemed a good cache to grab as our last for the year. Thanks for the cache and Happy New Year.
Our time in FNQ is drawing to an end. So we decided to do some full on caching and left the caravan in Walkamin whilst we head out to explore Port Douglas and Cairns.
After a big caching day yesterday it was after 9am before we headed out. Another 31degrees and the humidity was rising. We headed up to Trinity beach to start the day then cached down to Gordonvale for lunch at Piefection before returning to our camp at 5.30pm.
Really enjoyed touring Cairns and being tourists using geocaching as our tour guide.

Out with geoson (JoeM_au) showing him a few more sights around Cairns before he heads back to Brisbane tomorrow. This one previously found, so we knew it needed a replacement. This time I had the correct type of log...
Caching with the oldies. They replaced the log. Last few in Cairns while on hols. Tftc.
Checking out he nearby "diesel" shop for our 4b4. Found & signed by Mr D. Needs new log.
The plan this weekend is to find 86 caches in Cairns to help my companion Burgo78 reach his 1000th find by next weekend. This is find #37. Sneaky hide but managed to find it. Didn't look good shining the light at 11pm at night. Log book is full. Thanks
Hitting Cairns with Team BlackPearl26 to try to collect 999 finds to set up my 1000th at my Townsville event next Sunday, 364 days after finding my first.

Had a little while after some rain on Saturday afternoon to find some more caches in this part of town, found by geomum after looking at the logs, well hidden TFTC.
Had a second crack at this one after the previous attempt was halted from the rain. This one is definitely a micro and in a very good hiding spot.

Pretty sure I would not have come to this part of Cairns were it not for the cache here! Quick and easy find. TFTC
Today we left Cairns and headed back to Atherton to find the caches that we had not done since our last visit and this was one of them. At GZ we made a quick find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Cairns trip 2016. Day 17. Today was a caching around Cairns day. I headed south and did a few along the Bruce highway. Some were nasty and some were traditional drive bys. This was very subtle and took a few walk pasts to locate.
Thanks.

About to give up when we finally spotted it. How did we miss it? Must look harder next time. TFTC.
Hmmm came searching just after dark, almost gave up until reading the logs I knew it had to be here. I will tell you at night it has a tiny shadow over it making it impossible to see but still possible to feel. Good luck next finder, no muggles after dark.
Thanks for the geo cache

Our last day in Cairns. The caches we found were not far from our caravan park.
The worker we saw was too busy to notice what we were up to.
Thanks for placing this cache grannysmith1947
