Our first event cache . It was great to meet some fellow cachers and grab a coffee. The ballarat weather has been great and we have enjoyed our time here caching. Hope to see you all again at future events.

Attended the event for the seven souvenirs of August! Was great to meet some new people!

After attending the nearby CITO a rather grubby, smelly and generally tired Team Fergzter dragged ourselves to this event which was nice to recharge the batteries. Was great to catch up with other geocachers without having rubbish in my hands. Thanks for organizing this event Shamus1.

A rest was needed after a Stellar group effort at the CITO, a nice chat and a bite and I even won a path tag, Yippee.

This event brought my finds to 1733 and 367 for the year, which is the most I have found in a Calendar year.

Thanks Shamus for another great event. It was lovely to be able to recap on our month of challenges. We were so lucky that within the Ballarat area, lots of CO's really ramped it up and published some fabulous new caches for us all to find. We are looking forward to your next event.

I attended this event to bring up my 2000th overall find

As always it was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet a few new faces

A great way to finish off the day after attending the CITO. Chatted with old and new caching friends and enjoyed the local hospitality. Thanks Shamus for organising the event

Thanks Shamus for organising this get together. It is always nice to meet new friends and catch up with old ones.

2/3 of The Morris managed a quick visit on our way home the open day at FU. We managed to find a couple of 250 unfound caches we have in the 'rat.

Woke Chunk up for this event, as it is the middle of the night for him. But this time it was just too much so he reluctantly declined and went back to bed. Enjoyed chatting with old friends and meeting a couple of new ones. Thank you Shamus, for hosting this event.

First event I managed to get thanks for putting it on. Wasn't quite sure what I was looking out for but realised the collection of people at the back door might be the meeting point. There just in time, a couple of caches recommended to try which I will get over the next few weeks. Thanks

Myself, Ohdangh and sweet rebel tee had arrived onsite not log after 3, but didnt know where to go, or what to look out for... we circumnavigated maccas a few times, but basically hung about near the top of the block where the event pin was centred.. we had actually considered the group here possibly being cachers but saw no travel bugs laying about, so we chickened out of asking and kept searching... We had a mini-event over the road at Battlers Hotel for some refreshment before heading back over to see if we could find the event again.
realising it was almost 5pm, we decided to cut our losses and head back home.
As fate would have it, the beer I had over the road required me to visit the restroom before hitting the road... as I shuffled past a few people in the backroom of maccas I heard the words rail trail, visit and geelong, so I chanced the secret handshake. AHA!! found it!
I raced back out to the Jeep and called my companions inside for a quick chat and to sign the logbook... just in the nick of time.

great to meet you Shamus1, and the few others we managed to catch. It was good as always to meet fellow cachers in the field, just a bit of a shame we didn't get to meet a few more... oh well, plenty of caches still to be found in 'The Rat'... theres always next time. Thanks for organising the event Shamus1 and giving us slow pokes one last chance to nab an event souvenir.

Thanks Shamus for this event. We were happy to sit down and have a cuppa after the work done at the earlier CITO event.

Our second event for the day, it was great to meet everyone today and pick up some tips, tricks and hint for our geocaching adventures. Thank you for hosting this event Shamus and helping us gain our last Souvenirs for the month.

We enjoyed a coffee here after the CITO event. It was great to catch up with everyone again and meet some new cachers.

It's a work weekend for Chunk again - but we are going to try to do what we did for the bakery two weeks ago - wake him up at 1.30 and head into Ballarat, and keep prodding him to keep him awake
