Sadly no grasshopper for me today. Looks for awhile but he must be shy or something and decided not to come out today. Will try again another day
I couldn't find this today. Was starting to wonder if I was over thinking things, but that didn't help either.
Log found and everything looks to be in order.. Though log has come in contact with water as its moist to the touch. It's still signable but may need looking at if the owners come through on a maintenance run.
The end of the month was almost upon us and I hadn't quite reached 100 caches. I'd originally planned to leave two particular series' along with the original TSS and a smattering of others for 50 in a day but the desire to reach 100 for the month took precedence.
I didn't manage the 50 yesterday so I was back again today to get the numbers up. The caches were of high quality, there were few muggles about and the worst that could be said was that the weather was a little too warm for my linking. Almost all the caches were found in good condition barring Wet your Whistle and it's neighbours to either side. The logs really need replacing as they are more than a little damp. I'm sorry that I didn't have replacements to hand.

Jiminy Cricket, we found it said the Chief. Well I’ll be a monkey’s uncle, This cache was on our map so we stopped by.
Thanks for placing TSS Knee high to a grasshopper so we could find it. Many thanks sorceysal for the caching fun.

With a souvenir to be earned, I had planned to get an early start on building my score. But as the great Scots poet said, the best laid plans of mice and men... So, with other commitments earlier in the month and weather not conducive to caching for the last week or so, it was that HerIndoorsOutdoors and I found ourselves on a last day of the challenge out on a mini-power trail.
I had turned out with the whole kit for the hunt, but was relying primarily on the old faithful iPhone which, early on had behaved OK, but for the last few caches had worked find for getting close to GZ, but then decided it didn't want to help any more. Good for making the hunt more 'interesting' and was good practice for honing the caching instincts. A good time to have two pairs of eyes on the job.
The cache is in good condition.

After nearly a month of no real time to hunt, RGSBruce and I were making a last minute run at finding enough caches to earn a souvenir (two today as it turns out) and did a little mini-power trail around Plumpton and Melton today. After doing a couple of the RRR series along the Melton Highway, we headed up Leakes Road, picking up a couple of other caches on the way to start this series.
RGSBruce's iPhone GPS had decided it wanted to make things more interesting for us and not cooperate close to GZ. It was fine for getting us there, but once we were near it either didn't change or misdirected us. It just made the hunt a bit more of a challenge and doesn't really seem to have slowed us down much - another four minutes from the last find to this one, including transit time. Another carefully thought out and executed theme .

Another sneaky little one, not being where it should have been, or do I need to look harder!
Love these well themed hides. Appreciate your effort making& maintaining these hides. TFTC DF & S xo
Find # 7578
Found while heading down to Melbourne for the weekend.
Well a trip that would normally take a little over 2.5 hours to do, today took a happy (and a little bit zig zaggy) 8.5 hours.
And a few more than 55 stops to grab the caches on my hit list. All ranging from micros up to larges.
With the day being a scorcher out on the game board ment that water was needed all the while. And plenty of sunscreen.
Thankfully with all the bark, logs, bushes and false tops moved to access caches no snakes were out, me thinks it was too hot for them today too.
This was my second series today and once again the series of caches here were all great fun hides with good themed caches. Once again it was well worth the detour off the main Hwy on my way to Melbourne.
All caches found were in good order, unless stated above.

This is another saying we use relatively frequently. We enjoyed the cache owners interpretation and are glad that our grasshoppers do not grow to this size.
We were able to locate the log and had soon completed th e signing duties. Cache and contents were in good condition
Thanks for a very well themed cache sorceysal and Dutch Frangipany.

Would not be interested in meeting a grasshopper this size in the wild except for geocaching. TFTC
Bunadoorian and I were out today to get a few caches before attending a CITO and then Come and Visit Parkville Nov 2018 in Ballarat. We thought we would do the TSS V1 today seeing we did TSS V2 - last weekend. How fitting this cache was!! TFTC Dutch Frangipani and Sorceysal . 10 of 18 today. I love this one.
Grub62 and I are out to get a few caches on the way to a CITO and an event in Ballarat. This is a nice easy series. Very clever and well done. TFTC
TFTC quick drive by on the way to Sunbury and have some spare time to get some caches.
Doing a maintenance check today with Dutch Frangipani. A new log book placed. The cache container had gone missing so replaced today with a new log
No camo here today, but we had an idea of what it may have been. Checked a few spots before locating the more conventional hide. TFTC
Whilst looking for grasshoppers i had the bajebees scared out of me by peter coming screaming out of the shrubbery.
Just as well grasshopper knees arn't that high, imagine the problems we would have, this one was unusual for this trail. Sl tnln tftc
We were a bit surprised by this one given the other caches we have encountered along this series. Maybe the came is missing? Or maybe we just missed something.
Off I go to Melbourne! Down from Canberra for a caching trip around the Mega!
Time for me to hit the TSS trail and what a trail it was-Sooooo fun! I loved the effort and creativity that went into this series and every time each one gave me a giggle!
Yup! the grasshopper was exactly where stated-no false advertising with this one!
Thanks for the hide sorceysal

Spent the day cruising the back roads of Bacchus Marsh and Melton turning green boxes into smilies.
I must've missed the invite as this was a busy road tonight which delayed finding and returning a few caches with17 finds and 1 DNF.
This one had me searching for longer than expected.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the Great series Sorceysal and Dutch Fragipani

We have known about this series since it came out with friends living on Ryans Lane and finally we decided to grab it today. Another saying that was familiar to us but not used recently. The geokids worked this one out with a couple of hints.

The eldest boy, tried again - he read the saying to his brother, guessing that part of it would be a clue of sorts, and heavily emphasising that. When we drew closer, he had spotted the cache and guided his little brother to the vantage point at which it could not be missed, and with relief, the youngest son made the find before one of his sisters. Hoorah! Then he was happily distracted by a caterpillar.
While staying in Keilor with a friend for a couple of days we decided to get out of the high traffic areas to go caching. This was a series that looked appealing and it did not disappoint. The sayings were all ones we were familiar with and we loved the creativity and so allocate a fav point for each. The multi A stones throw away was more like a Needle in a Haystack as we found the container for wp1 but with no further coords to wp2. So we started looking for a slip of paper but to no avail so we widened our search to a stones throw and after looking in a few likely spots came up with the cache. We then wrote done the coords for wp2 and left it in wp 1. Thank sorceysal for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
It would be a mighty big grasshopper if this is how high its knees were. Thanks for the series Sorceysal.
After the hassles at the last find things settled down again I wish all caches were knee high to a grasshopper
A quick find and on my way TFTC

If I'd started Geocaching when I was knee high to a grasshopper, I'd have found a Gazillion by now. A nice easy find. And well placed. thanks **sorceysal**. TFTC.

Knocked off work earlier today because it has been a big week, lots of hours, now it's time to relax and get my caching mojo back.
Yep, it's still there and in good condition, quick find...

The grasshopper had fallen to the ground but we could see where he belonged so we popped him back there. Thanks SS, found today with The Tritonz and Motndarg.
Out today with McLookers and Tritonz . This grasshopper was trying to escape, found on the ground. Signed and replaced where it should have been, all OK now.
Starting at the top of TSS we worked our way down through this fun series in the company of McLookers and Motndarg, running back and forth from the hides to the car in intermittent rain. We all enjoyed a laugh at the most appropriate hides and started a game to see who could guess what the next one would be in relation to the saying.
Found this little grasshopper trying to escape , so hopefully we have him back in the correct position so he won't hop again.
Thanks sorceysal for the cache.

Out for a few hours caching with 'jeckleberry and tedd', her two daughters (one is 'CharliBear10) and a muggle friend. Most logs were signed 'Team JCC' (to save time and space).
Again I was the last of our group to reach GZ (finding a safe, non-muddy spot to park is not always easy) but I was able to spot this grassy hopper before the other searchers. TFTC.

Out for an afternoon of Geocaching with Cathlud and my Geokids. Also have a hanger on in Geokid1s (CharliBear10) best friend who has never cached before. This series was an excellent intro to caching as all containers were unique. We were all very impressed.
This one took us a while to find. Geokid1 briefly graced us with her presence to help us with the search. Eventually Cathlud had it in her hands and all was right with the world. TFTC.
Edited to add: Signed as TeamJCC

Today I went out and cleaned out all the caches I haven't done around the Melton area. This was my only DNF for the day, I looked high I looked low on this side of the fence and the other, I didn't want to give up but I had a lot more caches to find today and I had spent too much time on this one already. I'll be back...
I don't know what was wrong tonight, whether it was the wind but gps was way off again. In a bit of a final desperation we just started looking at all possible options around and came across this little guy - YAY!

Wow. That took longer than it should have. Overthinking it I guess. Funny camo, not sure how his little mate fits in. Good for a laugh. TFTC.
Do I look high or low - or at knee level? It's all relative to the size of the person, I suppose... Monster animals or miniature people ?

At last, I have found all the containers along this trail, Thanks for all your hides sorceysal they have been intriguing to say the least but good exercise for me too
Nice easy find. Time to head for the hills home. Ill be back soon to finish this awesome series. Thanks. Find 130
Made plans to head out with the family and na'wal. The plan was to achieve 100 in a day by completing the mount disappointment series then by going home via Sunbury and Melton. The daily total ended up being 113.
The day started with a car/truck collision on the freeway so we were stuck for around half hour and then back on our way.
A nice quick find nice camo to.
Log signed and replaced.

I was a bit early for a barbecue in the northwestern suburbs, so decided to take the scenic route to fill in the time. As I'd been eyeing off this series for a while, it seemed like today was a good day for it.
What a fun lot of sayings... and containers. One of the most amusing collections I've visited; the chuckles just kept on coming. Thanks, sorceysal and Dutch Frangipani.
The decoration on this hide made me laugh. Nice work indeed.

A plan was in place for Buzzsmc and myself to make our way back to the Mt Disappointment series for 61-130 and cache through Sunbury & Melton then head home. Our target goal was 100 caches in a day which we were able to fulfill and ended with 113 caches for the day with only 2 DNF's. After an early start, we got stuck on the Geelong freeway with a car and truck accident, after a 30 minute delay we were back on track and off and running for the day. A great day out, our thanks to the CO's for placing these caches.
We guessed this one straight away. We have been quite surprised at how busy this road is. We have to keep waiting for muggle cars to pass before searching. Another quick, fun find. Signed and returned as found.
