Out in the PeuGEOt today with little Geocache hunting in our old home area of Gisborne/Sunbury.I was looking around on the ground thinking there is nowhere to hide a cache when Mrs Cogs says is this what you're looking for point in the opposite direction.TFTC
My second in the series. Nice hide, with lots of scary guardian ants! Out of time today to do any more but will return.
So l had some spare time, so l thought I would take a drive along a quiet Rd picking up a few caches .. this was an interesting mixed bag of caches great for beginners.some had seen better days others were still in great condition. Most gave me a chuckle, and I surprisingly enjoyed them so much that I did them all.
Next find in what was neat and fun series to do. Weather was good and I took my time and enjoyed the day out. Some great themed caches along the way.
An interesting hide and one I took my opening....and I was glad I did.
Thanks for the effort with all these. Cache here was all good. Fav point added.

I arrived at this cache as I continued making my way down the road during my geocaching adventure in the area. As my GPS narrowed down on GZ, I soon found a safe place to park near the cache. I quickly hopped out of my car and made my way over to where I was expecting the cache to be, and was relieved to have found it pretty much where I expected.
All I had to do now was open the container and sign the logbook. Easier said than done!
My new job that I have recently started involves me being on the tools for long durations of the day, the vibrations of which are really taking a toll on my hands. As I result, I have been having difficulty bending/clenching my fingers lately which has significantly reduced my grip strength. Unfortunately, it also means that some caches are really difficult to open. This cache was one of them.
It took me a lot more effort than I would like to admit, but eventually I had the container opened up and was able to sign the log.

We just got back from overseas yesterday and the countries visited had hardly any caches, so we are well behind in this month's wheel of challenge. So, a huge day of caching: ad labs, trads and of course hunting out those with lots of favourite points. This series is so much fun.
What a great series this is. Love the cache containers and the fun I had finding the. Fantastic TFTC.
Out this way for work today so decided to collect a bunch of smiley faces. The weather was terrible and the slippery road made the voyage a little longer than expected.
Cache is in good condition!! Thanks for the hide

We had a lovely day caching in the Toolern Vale area with Boabtree.
What a great series this is, all relating to sayings.
A lot of people have tickets on themselves, fortunately my friends don’t.
Thanks sorceysal and Dutch Frangipani.

Out and about with Echidna44, we decided to tackle this series of caches based on colloquialisms. I know a few people this saying could apply to. The cache was found quickly and easily after a short search. Great stuff.
While staying in Melbourne we picked up a few caches in the area and this was one of them.
What a fantastic series, really enjoyed the theme. Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks sorceysal and Dutch Frangipani for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

After the event and CITO this morning, I headed towards Sunbury, picking up some trads along the way. Another quick find.
Many thanks to Dutch Frangipani & sorceysal for the cache.

Had to explain this one to the king as he didn’t get the saying, loved the effort the cache went too!
Very wonderful find for us. I really enjoy these particular caches! On to the next one, suggestion to replace log book soon xx
Got to spend father day with my son today. He's 13, so geocahing isn't as cool as it once was, but we had fun anyway. Thanks for the caches though...
Tracks are getting a bit slippery for the van here.

We have to admit, it was a quick easy find and we couldn't understand the name. Then we opened the cache and it was pretty awesome! These caches have all been so clever and exciting to find!
Had to make a trip to the airport today so decided to do a few caches on the way home. My usual way through Sunbury was held up by a traffic accident so i looped around via m80, found a new lot of caches to tackle and away i go. This was another fun one, there is definitely a dav point in this series somewhere.
Out with Bogonghazy for a midweek drive and fitting in a sone Geocaching. Thanks for placing the geocache. Nice hide even got to pat the horse
Love the effort in this series. I WISH I'D WORN PANTS. I'm so scratched and itchy.
Sunday morning out at Animal Land Petting Zoo in Diggers Rest and thought i do a few caches on the way home while the little slept.

Melbourne Cup Monday the unofficial Public Holiday!!! We decided last week to go for a drive to visit Regional Vic, we headed up towards the airport and headed north winding our way to Romsey for Lunch, across and over Mount Macedon before venturing south and finishing up near Calder Park, We ended up with 30 finds, one DNF, and lots of laughs. Thanks for all the cache owners for placing their caches.
Great cache contents. on point!!

Fav here!
A commitment near here with some time to spare meant a few quick caches. I’ve visited this series a few times now and still have more to find. Great effort and thought has gone into each hide - well done. Thankfully all were easy finds. Thanks for the cache.

On a road trip to Bendigo when we spotted these caches with a large number of favourites so detoured off the highway to check them out. It was Mr Pooky who made this find. Another well thought out cache to suit the saying. TFTC.
Found at 9:47 am.
Today Fleabag- wanted to find his 6,000th cache with me before he headed off on a work trip so a lofty goal of 74 caches was needed but we got there even though 3 caches into the day the low pressure tyre warning flashed up on the dashboard and we had a slow leaking flat tyre. We mucked around for way too long trying to work out how to change it. It was on the drivers side too ... the wheel that wasn't pulling off onto the side of the road all the time?? I haven't had a flat tyre for probably 20+ years and RACV changed that last one. So for the rest of the day the paranoia of having another flat was hanging over my head and occasionally with the non alloy spare wheel the tyre pressure sensor failure message starting coming up on the dashboard instead. We made it though without another flat on a LOT of gravel roads that Fleabag- managed to keep finding.
I let Fleabag find this one while I checked the tyres once again in case the failure message was actually another flat, thankfully it was not.
Thanks Dutch Frangipani & sorceysal for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Started the day needing 74 more for my 6000. And my awesome geobuddy was the person I wanted to share this with. The cache is not that important, it's the adventure. So off we went heading north with a mission. And probably lots of maccas.
Quick find here.
Thanks to Dutch Frangipani & sorceysal for the placement and fun.

Cool series, cool cache. TFTC.
I found this cache as part of an attempt to find 1 cache every day for 1 year. Unfortunately, the pandemic came along and I had to stay home and I couldn’t go out and find caches ending my streak. (Crazy, we were not allowed to go out in the fresh air) I was disappointed that my second attempt at 1 a day for a year was cut short and I haven’t logged a cache or found a cache since. Starting to get back into it. It is going to be hard to find a cache every day now since all the local caches have been found ( still have some of these TSS series left so there is still hope!!!) Sorry for the late log update. ?? Thanks for putting this cache out there!
Find: 332
Found: 29/03/2020 (logged 2022)

We set out this morning for a caching run with ilook4geo and tried to cover a variety of cache types, various sizes and caches of particular interest. This series covered a lot of these targets.
This was an easy cache to find and we look forward to each of the caches in this series of "sayings".
Thanks for a fun series go to sorceysal and Dutch Frangipani and thanks for all the relevant camo used.

Out for the day on a cache hunt with goingplaces2. We found a total of 42 for the day and had a lot of fun. This was one of the ones we found and signed. TFTC.
02/02/2020. Really enjoying this series. Nice little touches that are giving me a giggle
PLEASE DON'T FEED THE HORSES!
As we were looking for this one the owner started yelling at "what are you doing?!?! Don't feed my horses!!"
We politely explained we were just looking for something

Lots of big grand houses out here, on empty dry blocks of land. What do they do? Farmers? City slickers who want a bush home? Other? Not much to do out here on hot days when a kid.
Today I decided that I would head towards the Sunbury area as for some reason I haven't cached there yet. I have wanted to do the TSS series for a while and today was my chance.
A quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

Out being the detective today. Thanks for this well thought out cache. A fave of course
Found with teamashy. We are supposed to be dropping stuff at Sunbury but caching is distracting us. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC

Well this one was different wasn't suspecting that from the name, But nicely done thank you everything in good order here
I enjoyed finding the caches in this series today. The different nature of the hides made for a fun experience. most were found without too many problems. TFTC
The end of the month was almost upon us and I hadn't quite reached 100 caches. I'd originally planned to leave two particular series' along with the original TSS and a smattering of others for 50 in a day but the desire to reach 100 for the month took precedence.
I didn't manage the 50 yesterday so I was back again today to get the numbers up. The caches were of high quality, there were few muggles about and the worst that could be said was that the weather was a little too warm for my linking. Almost all the caches were found in good condition barring Wet your Whistle and it's neighbours to either side. The logs really need replacing as they are more than a little damp. I'm sorry that I didn't have replacements to hand.

This one made me giggle as we have a photo of our oldest when he was two absolutely covered in post-it notes! He had fun getting into mother’s teaching supplies. His tickets didn’t get him out of trouble, you know those talkings to where you admonish and run from the room so you can giggle your guts up! This cache was on our map so we stopped by.
Thanks for placing TSS - You've got Tickets on Yourself so we could find it. Many thanks Dutch Frangipani for the caching fun.

With a souvenir to be earned, I had planned to get an early start on building my score. But as the great Scots poet said, the best laid plans of mice and men... So, with other commitments earlier in the month and weather not conducive to caching for the last week or so, it was that HerIndoorsOutdoors and I found ourselves on a last day of the challenge out on a mini-power trail.
I had turned out with the whole kit for the hunt, but was relying primarily on the old faithful iPhone which today, despite a clear, cloudless sky, was all over the place like a mad dog's breakfast (a new cache for the series? ). But, two sets of caching instincts were being carefully honed so we ticked off yet another in the series.

After nearly a month of no real time to hunt, RGSBruce and I were making a last minute run at finding enough caches to earn a souvenir (two today as it turns out) and did a little mini-power trail around Plumpton and Melton today. After doing a couple of the RRR series along the Melton Highway, we headed up Leakes Road, picking up a couple of other caches on the way to start this series.
RGSBruce's iPhone GPS had decided it wanted to make things more interesting for us and not cooperate close to GZ. It was fine for getting us there, but once we were near it either didn't change or misdirected us. It just made the hunt a bit more of a challenge and doesn't really seem to have slowed us down much - Four minutes between the last two finds, including transit time. I'm loving the care and thought that's gone into these themed caches.

Find # 7579
Found while heading down to Melbourne for the weekend.
Well a trip that would normally take a little over 2.5 hours to do, today took a happy (and a little bit zig zaggy) 8.5 hours.
And a few more than 55 stops to grab the caches on my hit list. All ranging from micros up to larges.
With the day being a scorcher out on the game board ment that water was needed all the while. And plenty of sunscreen.
Thankfully with all the bark, logs, bushes and false tops moved to access caches no snakes were out, me thinks it was too hot for them today too.
This was my second series today and once again the series of caches here were all great fun hides with good themed caches. Once again it was well worth the detour off the main Hwy on my way to Melbourne.
All caches found were in good order, unless stated above.
