We have decided not to replace this one again.

Family day out hunting no luck due to lots of people around but nice play at the park

We checked this today and it looks like it has gone. Probably will not replace it.

Phronimos, KystalKath along with Tama the geohound have come across to the BOP for seasonal work in a local Packhouse. (Well of course Tg hasn’t - he’s our fur-child.)
A whole new area to explore so now Phronimos can start a streak, as no hope in Taranaki where I’m from as a streak back home would only last four days! and they’d be tough four days as they’re all on the mountain!
Anyway I digress... today we have no work in the packhouse, nor tomorrow, so we’ve got the opportunity to move our accommodation to a powered site and explore around Tauranga.
KK is particularly keen to visit some of the places Tg and I have previously investigated and of course Tama would love an off-leash walk.
Too many mugglettes were around when we were previously here, but no problem with that today... **but I couldn’t find it!** Another visit is in store for here. In the meantime we went off to find the other cache here in the park...

Couldnt locate it

Find number 4612. This one had me going. I had called over 12 months ago but lots of people round so never found it. Back today and all quiet in the area so I could have a good look. It still took me some time before I actually got my hands on it. Very well done. Thank you for the placement.

After finding the Walk Among Giants cache, I came back here a second time looking for a similar canister. Well hidden as I finally gave up.

I went and had a look for this one the other night but I ran out of time to have a good look and then as I left it started poring down again like it had on and off all afternoon.
I came back after work this evening with the sun shining and no wind there were lots of people in the park (unlike the other night when i was the only nutter out in the rain).
A great cache in a cool location.
The cache is in good condition.

This is such a pretty garden, after a walk around I was heading back to my car and decided to try and find this cache. Had a bit of a poor look around trying to avoid being detected by the nearby council worker cleaning the bbqs. sat down to read some logs to see if I was on the right track when I turned around and spotted the cache lying on the ground. Don’t think I would have found it otherwise! Cache now returned to hiding spot. Great cache in great condition, thanks so much for bringing me here!

On a mission with SB20 and was happy to visit Yatton Park as I hadn't been here for very many years - actually probably also with SB20 when she was at kindergarten! We walked around and around the general location but weren't having much luck until I noticed something out of the ordinary, which upon investigation didn't mean anything, except that I noticed something else very near to it, and voila - we had the cache! Great hide...tftc.

Over in the Mount today visiting the fam so what else to do on a lazy Sunday but pop out and look for some caches.
Parked up at Yatton Park and walked over to GZ - we had quite a search and then I was ready to give up when KK shouted that she'd found something. I definitely don't believe I would have found it if I was on my own! Nice camo. On to the other Yatton Park caches now.

Second time to find this cache as we were baffled the first time looking. Young grandson found it. Very good and tricky hide. TFTC

Took mouse for walk as a Goodluck charm as I have not been able to find this one after a few hunts. Didn't do the trick today.

Had a good hunt but no luck. Will try again another time.

Hopeful of finding the bonus cache of this series, we parked up at Yatton Park to find a few of the trads. Seems only 3 of the original 8 caches are now in place. We were pleased to spot the container here quite quickly, and checked it out for hints for the final. Thanks for bringing us here - this a lovely and popular park, even in the middle of winter.

We had a little time to do some geocaching so kiwitrecker1, the kids and myself headed to this park. The GPS was bouncing around a little so after a while of unsuccessful initial searching I checked the result away from the canopy cover and paced my way in. A careful scan managed to locate the cache a small distance away from where kiwitrecker1 was searching. The kids meantime had become distracted collecting the painted rocks in the area. Well hidden, TFTC!!

Finally! We were heading home from a few caches in Welcome Bay and happened to pass the cache location. It looked deserted so we were able to park up and have a damned good look. Almost ready to give up when I spotted it. Despite the problems this has given me, I guess it deserves a favourite point. TFTC.

Tftc! This one took me ages! But the kids were happy climbing trees nearby, so I had a good excuse to loiter, without looking too dodgy. Loads of people using nearby bbq today, so I'm glad I had the kids for 'cover'. Lol. Thanks for a great cache.

Very cool hide - by fluke it was a quick find but i can imagine it being a tough one! On a walking mission as i caught a ride with mr yodabeach who had some work in greerton. It rained off and on, keeping the muggles away. A fave, tftc.

Sneaky sneaky, kids loved the camo!

After a long time searching finally found this sneaky one...week hidden and camouflaged

3 yr old had great time climbing the trees while we searched. TFTC

Cache number 3 for Yatton Park. Took a bit of searching for but got it in the end. Lucky the people having a BBQ could not see us but their unleashed dog came close a few times. Another one with neat camo. We were first to sign the replacement log, a first for us.TFTC

Last one in the park for us to find. Enjoyed these ones. Took a bit of looking signal was all over the place due to trees, however got it in the end. Another one with cool camo. Love the ones where some thought has gone into placement and container. We were first to sign the new log. TFTC.

Had to really look for this one! Like the park, enjoyed the walk today getting other nearby caches. Cool camo, nearly missed this one!! TFTC

Called in today to replace the log sheet, found the cache after a short search. New log sheet in place, now awaiting the next finder.

LOG was FULL so signed with a joint name of TT2M.P in the only space we could find. NO MORE ROOM

Out caching with My.Precious. It took a little while to put a smiliey face on this one. I think I nudged this one, then dismissed it as part of the surroundings. Came in from another direction and saw it from a different view and something not quite right made me pick it up. Fantastic camouflage. I love these caches where the owners put some effort into hiding them. TFTC

Re-found today looking for clues for The Walk n The Park puzzle cache. Couldn't find it during the week with some new cachers but found easily today, funny how that happens.

We are cruising around over the long weekend, picking up caches as we go.
