Logs
I was passing by this cache today and saw the most recent log was a DNF. Happy to say it is still in place
Out chasing animal caches abs this one was needed for my T. After spending a few minutes I changed direction and found it on a different approach to GZ. TFTC
Took a bit but found eventually after taking over from the missus looking, nice one tftc
After positioning my vehicle to a spot in between this geocache and *I'm Tired*, I jogged to this cache first and hoped for a quick find, but it wasn't to be. It took a good 5-10 minutes of searching as I had approached this one from a slightly different direction, and as previous logs had mentioned, I was to trust the coordinates. After taking a short search within that vicinity, I thought I'd have one last attempt by approaching GZ from another, opposite direction. A search in that area had me make a quick find, and although the coordinates were reasonable, they were 5-7 m away from what my GPSr was indicating. A nice cache build, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks TrickyT for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
----------
Today with an early morning start, I commenced with a hike in the southern area of Flinders-Goolman Conservation Park. Three targeted summits from Mt Elliott Road were ascended, and it was a mixture of steep terrain, lantana and other spiky vegetation, and a few rock scrambles; a tough walk, but also enjoyable under perfect hiking weather that wasn't too hot.
Following the walk, I started to make my way towards home, stopping in Redbank Plains, and a few areas in Springfield and Brookwater. In addition, I walked around the new Brisbane Lions' new training ground at Springfield Central Stadium / Brighton Homes Arena, and finally stopped and made a circuit of Spring Lake in Springfield Lakes.
I was able to participate in / complete three Adventure Labs during my outing today:

Yeah, tricky! That is a good hide and yes I did walk straight past but name is on the log now. Thanks for the placement and smiley.
Took a bit of finding. But trust your geeps and you will find. Seems a good place for a tipple. Thanks.
3rd time here looking for this cache and again I circled round and round checking everything that could possibly fit the clue. I was beginning to feel frustrated again when I looked up and there it was right in front of me. How on earth did I not see that before? I must have walked right past it several times and may have even touched it without realising.
Have a FP TrickyT for being able to hide something so obvious right in front of my face!

This afternoon I enjoyed a great walk around Bellbird Park and Augustine Heights. I parked at Tucker Park and walked through to Augusta Parkway.
When I arrived here it started pouring with rain which was not a good start. I had an umbrella and eventually it stopped raining. I looked around for about 30min before giving up and continuing with my walk.
On my return towards my car, I placed myself according to Fangsoki’s photo but there was nothing around there that fit the hint. I tried looking at the nearby fallen trees but it’s very overgrown now. Lots of lantana and thorny vines growing up here.
Too tricky for me today, TrickyT. I’ll have to try again another day.

Found on 2nd attempt when I didn’t have GeoBaby. The hint threw me off scent for a while but once you find it it’s obvious. Great hide! Favourite given TFTH
That took far longer than it should have to find. I attempted this one a couple of days prior, but was running low on time so I had to leave it for another day.
A day off work presented itself, the baby was asleep, so the geowife granted me leave to attempt this one again.
On arrival, my GPS was not working too well so homing in on the correct area took a few mins itself, but I have no idea why I didn’t spot the obvious larger container earlier. Tftc

Oh my goodness, I was just about to call it a DNF, and then it popped into my hand. How did I not see this earlier.
Thanks for the entertainment today. Took was longer than it should have.

I spotted it straight away. It took much longer to find it. A lot of the camo has come off so I should have found it sooner. Thanks for the cache
This is awesome. Favourite point from us. Saw something a little unusual and sure enough, bingo. TFTC
Thanks to Fansoki’s photo I was sure I was in the right spot. So doing my scrub turkey dance I wandered inly a little and then spotted it. Very well done and you get a fav point from me for the unusual container and hide.

This is a good example of simple but effective cache camouflage done well. Earlier logs gave some clues, but it took me more that a few minutes to spot this one - it was obvious once I focussed on it and wasn’t looking into every other spot.

Well... I thought I’d found this cache immediately upon arrival, but I should have known better... it was just one of half a dozen golf balls...
It was a comment from the CO about Fangsoki’s pic that had me alter my search area slightly... I think I lucked out as the camo had slipped slightly and I spotted the cache from some distance...
Made my mark and attempted to bolster the camo some with more ground cover...
Thanks for the experience here TrickyT... have another fave point...

Came close to giving up. Widened our search after reading a comment stating a 5m variance (Probably closer to 10). Good hide though.
You wicked cache, you taunt me no more.
It was with a sense of dismay when the kindly TrickyT confirmed the cache was still in place. He gave me some more information.
I was due to pick up Dosshell for some caching and I decided to look in on this one. Even with my new information, I still couldn't spot it. But Dosshell did.
That's a mighty impressive hide - I must admit. I would have literally walked right past GZ. How I didn't just boop into it, I don't know.

Popped by for a look at this and happy to say it's still in place and waiting to be found. Here's an extra clue when Fangsoki took his picture, he must have been almost on top of it, (ha ha).
I thought I'd go alooking for this cache that hasn't been found in a while.
Judging by photos, things have changed again near GZ.
I spent about 25 minutes looking around.. looking for things that match the hint and don't match the hint. I came up empty handed unfortunately.
I did find a few sizeable trees down though. My GZ put me near a big (upright) tree with a few rocks.
Perhaps it's there and I'm blind. TFTH TrickyT

Called in here today to see what's going on. Wow! Progress they call it. Sadly the scrub turkey nest has been bulldozed away and a path or road now had taken it's place. Surprisingly, the cache is still there (for now). Don't know if it will be much longer but I'll see what develops. The attached picture shows what is the current situation. As a special hint ....the cache is on the high bank you can see on the left of the road above the 'lake'. W.P. for parking is now S27 38.771 E152 53.232, the bottom of Bellbird Drive. A short walk from there.
It would appear that this area has changed substantially since this cache was placed with a ruddy great road now bulldozed right next to GZ. I hunted around for a while in amongst the various knocked over trees and branches and other leaf litter but did not come up with a find. Hopefully just cache blindness rather another victim to progress.
**# 17191** Found on the Qld leg of our 2017 winter escape trip.
All perfect sunny winter days again, perfect for a cache hunt in Bellbird Park.
Not many muggles around and a not so quick find here.
I found it 5m from my GZ. This one was a very good hide too.
Thanks for the cache TrickyT,

Out on a caching day with Roddy C and his wife today Picking up some caches down this way on our hitlists. On a bit of a bush bash and we were heading through getting closer to gz with mr roddy c in front of me and mrs roddy c behind me, i all of a sudden said stop i got it and we were glad it was reletivly easy as the mozzies were starting to bite TFTC
Some caching time today with RhoBoCacher once again around the outer suburbs of Ipswich, despite the hot (sometimes 34 degree) weather!
Scrub Turkeying around across the creek in the wet would be much fun (NOT!). But we did appreciate the work put into the camouflage for this container. Good work, TrickyT!
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 5.05pm on 20th November, 2016. TFTC

Lmao. Hidden in plain sight and geoson couldn't see it. Teasing him heaps sitting on a rock watching him search for something i saw straight away. Thanks for the laugh. Tftc tricky t
The last one of the day and of this little circuit of caches. I checked numerous spots and used the clue. However, I was circling and circling and checked every tree and every rock. Then the usual cacher glance over there and stare straight at it trick worked! Nice work on this.... very cleverly hidden. TFTC TrickyT
We travelled down the well overgrown but easy walking path, pass a small creek with water in it to the bend in the path that TrickyT mentioned in his cache notes. So pleased that we like to read the cache notes, not like some we know, as these had top directions on how to approach the cache.
We followed the directions to a T and we were soon at GZ, we avoided the spiky plants and spotted an exceptional hide, very natural but still with that "out of place" look about it. We did need to avoid a few ants climbing nearby but they did us no harm so we returned the favour. SL TFTC

Out and about today in the area because there is a group catch up a little earlier.
The group and I went our seperate ways as they were heading to caches I have found.
I am slowly making my way west. So a quick detour to find a couple of cashes that are in this area as I am passing by. [^]
A quick find but the creek was a bit tricky to cross with todays rain.
Thanks for the clever cache.

I was quite glad to have the concrete paths to ride along by this point, they do make it a lot easier to get around then dirt tracks. Anyway soon I was off the path again to take a little look at this one. I looked in a couple of spots doing a little loop, and well nothing come up. I thought what would I maybe be looking for and nothing nearby matched that thought in the area.
So I decided to get back to where the coords tell me to look, and sure enough I spotted something not what I expected, but I think my favourite cache for the day, could be easily missed. I got my name in the log and soon returned the cache and made my way back to the path.

Bleeding Turkeys, never stand still long enough for you to grab them... This one eluded me this afternoon as I was chasing two caches to position myself for a milestone in the morning... Most unthoughtful of it...
What a beauty. Thanks Tricky. I must have walked past it three or four times before I noticed something odd about that particular item.
I'm amazed at the 1.8m wide concrete path from the main road - that no-one uses. Overgrown with chest-high weeds in parts. Concrete under foot makes for easy walking, but what a waste of money. Hopefully one day it will get tidied up and better used. But I doubt it - too easy to jump in the car these days hey?

I think I misunderstood some of the directions and found myself up in suburbia but was soon heading back down where very recent rains are still literally flowing. So the 'path' across kept me less soaked than I may have been, but it was still wet.
I struggled in the GZ, went down to the nest area (we have a huge one in the back of our yard too) but still found zip.
With time ticking away, it seemed a DNF was likely. I was rather distracted by a log comment about being able to see it from a particular point, which I misinterpreted (I think).
As often happens, only when I returned to my original GZ and walked around some more, looking more carefully, did I finally stumble upon the cache. Not what I was expecting and very cunningly disguised!
All good here so TFTC and helpful hints. I'll be back for more ASAP.

Found while out on a caching day. I loved the container. Blended in well. Nice hide. TFTC
It's Friday and I headed out this way on a (slightly) cooler day with Team Benders. My caching buddy soon discovered that I usually take the difficult way to GZ. We cleaned up a few caches at a relaxed pace over a couple of hours.
We wandered around a bit at this location and then TB spotted something a bit unusual. Cache in the bag Now which way to go?
TFTC TrickyT! Nice hides here

Out today with Ms Maddy on a caching expedition. This was the first in a lovely walk along bush tracks.
It was very warm outside and we both consumed a lot of water in our travels.
Once at the GZ, I came up with the cache. A very interesting one well camoed.

Out caching with Misssusan, Remsjw, and jemillalucy. Misssusan saw it from a distance and jemillalucy grabbed it. Great camo! TFTC!
Scrub this from the list. Nice camouflage. This one has been coming up as closest cache. TM Team have changed that.
It was quite dry in here today. There were some wet patches , but I managed to negotiate the geocycle around them.
I arrived at GZ without spying the turkey, but I was concentrating on staying upright on the bike
A quick hunt at GZ revealed this clever cache. Nice work indeed.

After my recent DNF I knew that this cache would haunt me until I found it.
This time I had plenty of daylight and I headed back the, now familiar, path to the search area.
I knew the general area to search and had an idea of what I was searching for but it still took me a few minutes of wandering around before I arrived at the correct spot and then it was quite evident that I had found the hiding spot.
A great creation which deserves a favourite point. Thanks TrickyT

I will have to come back in full daylight next time.

This one was next up on the list for us today, so we continued around from the last one, and with the sun completely set by now, we were glad the description was so descriptive We headed in, and across, and up, and after an extensive search we couldn't spot it We decided to PAF, and soon knew what to look for, and after a bit longer searching, we spotted the crafty cache We added our names to the logbook, and returned it all back

So I thought I was going to get home from work early today and have a quiet afternoon, a headache had set in, that is until I get a call from bennyboppers, got some local caches you want to do? Only really trickyt's new ones I replied.. Yes of course, so off we went after a quick change and some panadol.
This was our first find for the afternoon, we parked on a nearby stree and found a little bushy path then a bit of a bushbash. This looks like it I said after making it up a bit of a hill, a little tug and the cache popped out. Nice one, cool camo job here. Tftc

TFTC very nice hide. The Rooster was allowed out of the hen house for this one, since it was long dark. The hen had miss chic and baby chic perched on the couch snuggled under both wings. I flew the coop.
If attempting this at night time be wary of the thorny vines, plenty to go round.

***FTF*** Found with Goldielover. I was on my way home when Goldie tried calling to advise that new caches were out to be found. I missed the call and she had to wait until I got home. After grabbing the near by cache we wandered along the nice path until gz seemed to be over there. A little detour and we were soon at GZ. A little look around before the clue was read. Must admit that without it we would have been there a lot longer. Great cache and worth a favourite point.

***FTF*** with stairman1 and geodog. After leaving I'm Tired we headed down the track. Went past one noisy dog who had lots to say to geodog. He ignored it and headed up the track towards GZ. After getting a little tangled in the vines, we eventually arrived and stairman1 spotted a cleverly crafted cache. It took me a little longer to locate it. Very well camouflaged. Good to see a nice clean log. We soon fixed that and collected the FTF prize. Thanks for that, we will activate it shortly. Thanks TrickyT. A favourite from me as well.
