Made much more difficult than it needed to be, was using my phone today and the indications were all over the place; TFTC
A beautiful winter's day walking around the Summit Road and decided this one would be a quick one to nab.
Had no trouble spotting this one, as the cache was lying out and quite exposed amongst the bushes at GZ, so emptied out the residual water from the container, and after signing slotted back into the most likely hiding spot in accordance with hint. Had no pen in the car, and the pen in the cache has seized up with moisture, but fortunately had a stamp on hand to sign the logbook.

I ran out of places to go on my first foray from the side of the road but went around to find another way in and there it was. Nice to find a bigger container thanks Aslan*. TFTC # 18,780
These are always satisfying to find. Last night’s snowfall made it a bit tricky to spot but the coords are solid.
Found on a nice drive in the area. Change of lifestyle so got a job in Rakaia for a few months so better get some caches in the area
With rustynz on a caching adventure to Christchurch. Discovering now that the wrong dates where written in the logs
Loving driving the Summit road, and finding a few caches along the way. Thanks for the hide

With rebel98 on a short trip away to Christchurch. All our dates written in the logs are wrong woops, luckily this online log is the correct date
Followed a bit of a geo trail, that kind of stopped. Looked for the hint items, squeezed in, and soon spied the large container.
Log signed, all good here, thanks for the hide Aslan*, fun find today, amazing views

GPS took us on a merry chase but with the help of some logs and the hint we had a good idea of where too look. Venturing in, was mindful off the stingers but unfortunatly they got me and damn, they hurt. Was quite wet under the canopy too and was rained on a few times. But, soon found the cache and brought it out for my fellow cacher's to all sign the log. Now to head back and rehide the cache, complete with my monkey friend to look after for a while.
We always wanted to grab this cache of a decent size - and today was the time. Cloudy and windy, so great to find this sheltered cache. TFTC
Soon located the cache not too keen about the "guards" nearby wit their stinging response, TFTC
Out on a late afternoon mission with daughter and granddaughter. Managed to circumnavigate the onga onga! TFTC!!
There is stinging nettle in the bushes near the cache, so watch out for spiky leaves. The sting will look like this.
This is a bit of a belated log. I found this on a Saturday and I think it was 2 weeks ago so I'm logging it as the 23rd of March. There wasn't much of a view to be seen then so I had to imagine what it may look like on a clear day. Thanks
Nice spot with great views. Easy enough find on our walk round part of the Crater Rim. TFTC.
These sunny late afternoons are great for mini caching adventures. Cache in great condition. Surprising how much rubbish is nearby though. Tftc. #3165
The weather forecast being less than promising we decided to do a series of drive-by caches and short walks rather than our customary Sunday afternoon walks.
Quick find and the large cache container meant we could leave something we had been carting about for just such an occasion. TFTC

Well covered cache nice and dry. Rocks gave some cover against freezing wind as well. TFTC.

I came to this one with tandem4, on a blustery late autumn day. Quick walk from the car, and tandem4 had the cache to hand. Nice moss here. All in good shape!

A beautiful day for a walk and some caching in the hills. Such amazing views from up here. The cache was a quick find. TFTC.
A great spot to park and enjoy the wonderful view. Nice big container amongst the bush. Para-glider enjoying the brisk wind blowing. Thanks
I couldn't resist the opportunity to find a large cache so I came here, followed the compass arrow and there it was. A great spot to visit too. I liked the mossy rocks and that view...although quite misty was still fantastic. Thanks Aslan*.
Quick find after an age looking for the previous cache up the road. Very windy today so not many people about! Tftc
I'm from Norway, escaping the cold winter and travelling around New Zealand for 7 weeks, using geocaching as my tourguide. Today I decided to find all the challenge-caches in town, but ended up just getting up to Summit Road and really enjoying the beautiful area up here. Well, I actually also managed to get 7 types in a day, which was easy to do here, since you both have a virtual and a web-cache.
About this cache:
I really loved being up here at the ridge, and when I saw there was a large container a bit further, I decided to drive over here. After a little bit of bush-bashing I could locate this nice container. When I got out of the bushes, I sat down at the rim and enjoyed the views. A local woman stopped by to have a chat, which was very nice, I learnt a lot about the area. Tftc

After the little "power-trail" I had a search some Caches with the car. This one was the first.
Fast find, I think it's my first large container

Always nice to get those LARGE caches. The surrounds of this cache have burned a bit but the container has survived very well! Not melted at the slightest.
Some weird glass goblet-thingy next to the hide spot. #random
Haven't seen any Narnia movies or read any of the books. But still I sometimes use the word "narnia" to describe some 'magical' places, often with sarcasm.

AngelG27, TikvaNZ and I have travelled from Canberra to find caches from the D/T 81 Series that we had managed to solve by ourselves, or as a team (some with nudges along the way from COs or previous finders). We were joined by IVSS_XX, so we decided to log as team F.A.I.T. for brevity.
Always love a large container. Another nice stop along our journey today. TFTC Aslan*

This trip to NZ was long planned, with the DT 81 series the main focus. TikvaNZ, Fox and I did lots of puzzle solving in preparation, many solved individually, but others solved cooperatively and some with a little push. Today was the day to make good on our solves and we headed out with Ivss_xx (signed as FAIT) to collect a stack of them. It was a long day, but we grabbed around 50 of them, with a few others thrown in for good measure. Unless otherwise indicated, caches were found in good order and in accordance with the hint.
another random found en route - but we made the effort to stop for this one as it is a LARGE size! Took TB, dropped PT.
Thanks for the cache and the fun!

Thought I'd have a good walk with the dog through Kennedy's bush but turns out dogs are prohibited. Drove on a bit further instead. Gps wavered a bit here but read the hint, looked down and there was the cache. It's right on the edge of the fire damage but all is well and contents dry. Tftc.
Found with StreetWalker on a blustery norwest day, walking and caching around the Summit road.
After our walk around Kennedy's Bush, it was good to have just a short walk to GZ. Shocked and annoyed to see the rubbish dumped nearby, though. My question is why? Why bring your rubbish up here to dump?
It didn't take SW long to spot the nice big container. Left a TB. TFTC.

#13399. It didn't take long to locate the good-sized cache (shame about the rubbish in the area). TFTC.
I had a great time finding caches along the summit road today! The whole area was very quiet and the views were great. Its nice to find some larger sized caches as well. TFTC!
A fabulous day to go caching with The Burnsy. We decided to drive around Summit Road and pick up a few caches. Burnsy had an injured foot and I had an injured neck so we made a pretty good pair. Our tactic for the day was to stick to caches closest to the road, so as not to strain ourselves. I ducked into GZ and quickly located the cache. Tftc.
If only all caches were this size; like they used to be. This cache size was considered regular when we started. Walked several sections of carter rim this afternoon finding caches along the way.
Enjoying holidaying down South with tmann421. More wet weather today.
A nice quick find for us. TFTC

We found this cache fairly quickly on a drive around.

Got the call from Mr Cuddly Brick with an invite out to grab a few caches today. This cache was the next closest to our previous find, and cache was quickly found. Thanks for the cache.
On a mission with 2wombles having had near death experiences on a cache earlier we elected for a couple of near by caches. Parked near by and ventured into the santuary of forest cover, there we found the cache a she some clothes and other things.....the housing crisis is pretty bad if you have to sleep here, either that or it was a ftf'er making ready to pouncing on something yet to come....tftc Aslan
Found it with bijouxtoojnr. Thanks for placing the cache. Took nothing left nothing other than an autograph.
Took a bit of hunting but found it - well hidden. Last cache of the day as we headed home. TFTC.
Out early to explore the area and make my way to Diamond Harbour, caching as I go. Parked up on the road side and a short dawdle had me at GZ where the cache was quickly found - TNLNSL. Great views from here. Thanks for the placement Asian*.
Exploring parts of Christchurch. Wanted to know what the ball in the hill was. Lots of cyclists about the hills. A quick find of the big cache. Thank you
I was out with BaldEd picking some caches that he hadn't signed off and needless to say that I hadn't signed off. This was one just for me.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Had to hunt a bit and unfortunately Chocochunk lost his sunglasses in the process.
Quick find on my way home from a walk/run in the hills. The cooler weather was quite refreshing. TFTC
Sunday road trip on a mission for an O an E ( tick tick ) and # 1500 .
Had to turn round here after overshoot ing the last cache so I knew where I was going. Quick find tftc

Out caching with Team FARKIS (fmz, alpenmilch80, rosmar, kiwi.bug, indianajill, slieschke) while down for the CHC mega event. This was one of the caches we visited along the way. Thanks to all the owners of caches we found! TFTC
Out on a MEGA adventure with Team FARKIS (fmz, alpenmilch80, rosmar, kiwi.bug, indianajill, slieschke) lots of fun with a great mix of cache hides and cache containers TFTC.
Out hunting today with Team FARKIS (FMZ, Alpenmilch80, Rosmar, Kiwibug Indiana Jill & Slieschke). Quick find. TFTC
Not often one finds a cache container of this size, and certainly plenty of locations to hide one round here - another beaut spot. TFTC Aslan*, #8185
Found with Busy Paws, GPS was a bit all over the place! But once we found the right place it was an easy find!!

Was a nice quick walk to this one on a very nice winters day. Cache quickly found, my buddy came and dropped a TB she knew was going to fit into this. Cheers for the cache.
I dropped my largish travel bug off here. I wonder who will be brave enough to take it further on it's way?
Nice big cache . Easy find but a bit of effort to uncover and recover! Did some CITO and more there for others to help. Thanks
Found with quinella - our first of many today. Not so crowded up here as last weekend . Tftc
Found quickly. TFTC. Nice and dry. Large cache suitable for trackables. Dropped off Jean-Luc-A 554352, who is a pretty cool dude. He'll be happy up there for a while, there is a lovely ambience. But he is ready for adventure and his next trip I am sure if anyone wants to take him!
