I'm down with 0B80B8 and Yvettetb to collect a well planned and very specific list of caches to get as many add-ons as we could for our Project GC badges. I'll have to wait a while to get some as I don't have a lot of regular or large sized caches. It's a bit disappointing that there isn't 11 types to collect in Auckland. Anyway, we had a fun and very sucessful day.We came down last night because our main route through the Brenderwyns is closed for maintenance. Mum has an apartment in Parnell so that was a very handy starting point for todays outing. Great to do this today as it ticked off the D5 and T5 all in one. One member had previously sussed it out so we knew where to go today. It was nice and dry- no mud or thorns found here today but we were careful to step over the young blackberry stems. Thanks for the 5/5 hide and a bit of an adventure here
Down from Whangarei with Lis's crew & yvettetb on a Leap Day mission to get all available cache types and sizes in one day. As it turned out, we managed to achieve our goal and bookend it with FTF's to start and finish the day, with a few more along the way as a real bonus. This one was a real target for today as it would tick off 3 spots on our challenge goal. Having done a bit of reconnaisance several weeks ago, I was reasonably confident of an easyish route to GZ, but still got caught out by the new blackberry growth since and came away with some caching scars for my efforts... At GZ the cache was a nice quick find. Signed the log, took our photos with the guardian and then headed back uphill to the cache mobile. TFT(5/5)C
In Auckland this morning for Leap Day to get the various Project GC badge add-ons. We popped down to Auckland last night due to the Brynderwyns being closed so we could make the most of our Annual Leave day.Definitely a scramble down the back to get this cache but due to the fabulous summer weather lately our sneakers where perfect for todays journey. The cache was quickly located at GZ and we were soon heading back to the car (which was easier than the way to the cache). TFGC. Found with Lis's Crew and 0B80B8.
Found it!
Wow! This was a real challenge.
I must have chosen the worst possible route!
I felt like Indiana Jones!
Fun one!
This is **#128 consecutive 5/5 cache** for me! The streak continues...when will it end!?

We were out in Pakuranga for The Ruby Project at the BMX track (check it out if you have a girl who might like riding ) and decided we just had to collect a few caches as we are closing in on 500. Then we stumbled on this. What a challenge - 5 / 5. Unfortunately geokid 7 and Geomum weren’t wearing appropriate footwear but GeoDad and Geokid 8 decided they would bush bash down. What an adventure and of course a messanger call at GZ. Yahoo. Thanks for the cache .
We had talked about this personal challenge, D/T Grid for sometime, so decided to attack on long weekend ( Waitangi),EyeSpy first up at 4.30am,so time to rise as KGD will be here soon and left Huntly for our first cache in Ak at 7am. Lota of laughs, plenty of U turns, tree climbing, muddy gumboots, very steep climbs and plenty of Kms travelled. Our total over the period was 47 different D/T ratings and only 2 dnfs. Thanks to all the Cos for a great day in the Supa City and KGD for his organisation skills. KGD said it all.

Thanks to all the Cos for a great day in the Supa City and ABCDF4 for bringing me, KGD for his organisation skills. A bit muddy.
A plan was hatched to try and find as many different combinations on the D/T grid that we could in one day. A route was planned and planned again a number of times. It has been months in the planning but today it was coming to fruition.
I left Hamilton at 4.45am and met up with ABCDF4 and eyespyben in Huntly before arriving at our first cache at 7am. It was a long and tiring day with the last cache found as darkness set in. And after a celebratory dinner at McDonalds I got home at 11.00pm.
My calculations is that we achieved 47 with only 2 DNFs. Thank you to all the cache owners.
Tide was right for a early look at this one. After taking a wrong turn and getting gumboots full of the mud arrived at GZ. Had read previous logs in preparation so went to alternate coords mention and soon had the cache in hand. Placed back and then it was back thru the mangroves. Thank you for the placement.

Holidaying in Auckland over the Xmas and New Year period, I've had my eye on this particular cache for quite some time now and had been hoping for an opportunity to go for a scramble.
The tide tables had low tide set for 9:15 this morning, so I set off at about 8.30 to give me plenty of time to give it my best shot. I initially parked up by the vacant plot that appeared (on paper) to offer the most direct route. 10 minutes later, having forced myself about 15m into the jungle, I encountered the Blackberry and thought "bugger that, there has to be an easier way!"
I then decided to try the "No Dumping" route, which offered a much easier way down to the Mangroves. Once there, I was glad I had chosen to don Gum Boots, although perhaps I should have had a tighter fitting pair as the mud was doing its best to literally suck them off my feet. But I persevered, and before too long my GPS (using the corrected co-ordinates offered by others) was showing the cache to be about 15m over my left shoulder.
The next 20 minutes were spend randomly rummaging around GZ, trying to make sense of what exactly the Hint was hinting at. I never did figure that bit out, but eventually I located the cache to my immense relief. The log was then signed (photo attached) and I was able to head back through the swamp with an extra spring in my step. On reflection, I would probably agree that 5/5 is a bit generous for this cache, but happy to log it (my second 5/5) nonetheless.
Thanks for the cache, and the adventure, and a good story to round out what has been a brilliant geocaching year for me. All the very best for 2019.

The tides timing and low level were good so we decided to see what it was like. We probably should have read so old logs but it turns out we pick the direct “no dumping” route and was soon at mud and mangrove level. We tracked to GZ to thick this does not look promising to read some other logs with revised coords so plugged them in and managed to miss a lol the prickles others mentioned. A wandering GPSr signal and over grown scrub did not make for an easy search and it looked liked this one had us beat until we walked down to the mud flat and found the cache out on the open or a bit of rubbish but on closer look it was the cache. So we added our name and re hide it up the bank a little probably a few meters west of the corrected GZ. TFTC.
Visiting NZ from the central coast of AUS for a gig up at the bay of islands and so I have taken the opportunity to fly in a day ahead of the band muggles to do some caching around Auckland! Been looking forward to this day for months!! Undertook a fair bit of homework doing a thorough recce and solving puzzles etc to set up an itinerary of approx 20 Auckland caches, plus another 6 or so up around Russell for later in the week. This 5/5 was discovered early on and quickly added to the itin!
Oh my gaarsh! The terrain surrounding this cache is diabolical! That's coming from someone with an average T-rating of just under 2.4 @ almost 550 finds. I found a reasonable way down and in where the muddy part of the cache adventure was discovered. Then once I got to within ~25m the prickly part came into play. Backtracked a little around there to find a better way into GZ which eventually paid off and cache was soon found and signed. Close to GZ there was am amazing sounding bird somewhere which I finally spotted in a nearby tree and after searching the internet later I discovered that it was a Tui. I decided to try a more direct way out which was not such a good idea though in hindsight. It was tough in there! There's really no reason to ever be down in an area like this unless you were a crazy geocacher lol. But it was definitely fun! While this cache is possibly a tad over-rated it is still very tough terrain with a not-so straight forward hunt/ hide and so after my hour round-trip I felt like I had definitely been on an adventure to earn the D/T rating offered. Our first 5/5! Our 600th find! Took our time getting down to it so not too difficult. Found easily once down using the coordinates in the logs. Thanks blakej02, joshuam12345.
Up in Auckland for Xmas to visit family and decided we'd nip out for a few caches while we were here. Gr33nslime and I thought we'd give this one a go, it just required some careful timing with DangerSAM so we could leave him to occupy himself with Nanna. Needed to get a five five so we found this one and away we went. Basically a disappointing cache due to rating. Took us longer to travel by road across auckland through boxing day shopping traffic than get the cache. Could almost be called a park and grab. Any bush bashing in Auckland that only has a wisp of blackberry, no gorse and no supplejack is not very technical. Gr33nslime and I have come across more challenging caches with lower ratings that this so it would be good to see it down scaled to maybe something like a D2 T4. The experience itself was great. Found the random grassed patch between two houses that terminated in a bit of flax. Gr33nslime took a moment to ponder the first move, I just charged in and started stomping through the weeds to the bottom of the hill. Then it was a choice of several routes to GZ. I picked a reasonably easy trail and got there in shortorder. The cache was easy to find and yes in hindsight we got the clue, very clever. With the log signed, Gr33nslime bashed us a way home and we were highfiving a job done end to end in side 20mins. I think the location is very worthy of a cache, maybe a large container would be great here.
#863 Was rather excited about this cache, as we had been wanting a 5/5 for a while, and there are very few near us, and even less that do not require special equipment like ropes or a kayak. Therefore we had planned this one from our home in Palmerston North, we just required a suitable day where DangerSAM could be looked after. I had contacted a previous finder to see how long it would take and if it was child friendly? Apparently it was 20 mins round trip and child friendly... in the end it took us 19 minutes using Tuftys coords (14 to get there, and 5 to get back following our original path) although i wouldnt say it would be friendly for children in a front pack - too much ducking under foliage. Honestly, it was a easy cache, not really worthy of its rating - but will take it anyway! Could see the potential for a creative cache container down there too as im sure its only cachers that would venture so far. Thanks blakj02 for the cache!
As I had never done a cache of this level, and as I had some spare time this afternoon... I decided it was time to set myself a bit of a tougher caching experience. And I have to say, finding this cache was a very cool experience. I grew up in a rural neighbourhood, and as a kid I used to play with my mates in a block of Native New Zealand forest... very close to Hobbit-ton... and so today brought back memories of crashing through undergrowth as a kid. Today was also quite challenging as it rained last night, and so this afternoon was actually really 'extra muddy'. So as I headed into the undergrowth, I literally slid down the first part of the bank and into a puddle. And so figuring that I couldn't get any wetter, I literally just crashed and slipped my way directly to GZ. The hint was very helpful and so I soon had the cache in hand. I managed to sign the log book, and put the cache back while only being seen by a couple of seagulls over-head. The images I have posted as a part of this log are images I took on the way out of the area. On the way out, as I navigated my way around the flax higher up, it also became apparent to me that local kids also play here. Getting out was not too difficult. So thank you blakej02 for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciated it as not only did I complete a new challenge, but this cache took me to a place today that I would not have otherwise come. TFTC! I am now going to take off my extra muddy footwear and go home for a shower...
We were a bit unsure about this one but keen to give it a try. After a bit of thought as to the best way to approach GZ we formulated a plan and headed into the unknown.
It was quite an experience poking, bashing, ducking and sliding our way to the cache but our intrepid skills paid off and we soon had our hands on the prize.
We then realised we hadn't paid attention as to our pathway in and needed to call on our navigation skills to find our way back.
Thanks for a fun and challenging experience.

After I found this cache and read the logs I thought I would give it a try. So after running an errand in the area I stopped by and made my attempt. I was a little concerned that it was getting close to high tide and that would complicate things, but this turned out to not be the case. After following the trail down I ended up circling the cache and coming at it from the opposite side. I think this complicated things and I ran into way more blackberry bushes than I needed to. I got there in the end though and I'm glad to have snagged this one. TFTC!
In need of a T5 cache for the Terrain Licence Challenge we are completing we set of in the late afternoon at low tide fully prepared for the mud. Water, bucket, towels and a change of clothes would be waiting for us in the car for when we returned, potentially covered in mud. We took the shortest most likely looking route and ended up following a caching trail down into the very dry swamp. The trail led us right to the cache. The only issues encountered were a few blackberry brambles. Added a new log as the old log is full. Mission accomplished and we made our way back to the car with only a couple of scratches and some insect bites to show for our troubles. No mud........ TFTC
The last D5 T5 that I attempted end up as a DNF and a search and rescue with the police !! (Not for me but for another one from our party). No such dramas ensued today. It was a pretty straight forward scramble to GZ. A few minor scratches from the thorns was the worst thing that happened.

After looking that coordinates in previous logs we found the cache.
Not sure it was fun or indeed if there needed a cache there at all. Any way we found it TFTC

Parked up at the suggested place mentioned in previous logs and crashed through the greenery to the GZ also using the corrected co-ordinates in a previous log. The new co-ords were spot on and I spotted the cache immediately which was a relief as it did look like a needle in a haystack kind of challenge! TFTC

I thought it would be a nice morning for a walk in a swamp before work so suitably attired, I parked up and walked on down. Saw a Geo-trail and the new co-ordinates were 100% spot on and thankfully, it was low tide so not so swampy. TNLNSL TFTC
Our team of seven started looking at the posted coordinates before we realized that we were not using the updated coords. As we punched them in, rebel98 made the find. I guess the difficulty is based on the number of blackberry bushes in the area. TFTC.
So far this is not too muddy! this Magnificent Seven, are making their way to the next Mud cache, we used the walkway between 15-17 Curacao Place, to make our way to the mangroves.
The co-ordinates are a bit out, even though I knew, and sent the corrected co-ords to everyone, I forgot all about it. As we spread out to find the cache, Rebel98 used his geo-senses and followed a cachers trail to the hide
Tuftys new coordinates are S 36 53.501 E 174 53.499, or like one of our group did today, was ignore the GPS and use the "jedi force"
We are on our way to the next Mud cache, following along the bank. Thanks for the hide and this muddy adventure.

Not as bad as we had feared. Good to have a group to spread out and cover the area. Weather perfect for today's venture.
This was a bit tricky as we went a bit far and were looking in wrong place .....Rebel 98 had the adjusted co ords however and was soon on to it !
Was on a adventure with a great group of geocachers and great fun walking in the mud, over heard gorby say his gps was saying 12mtrs further away so increased search area and followed a geo trail to cache lots of fun tried to stay away from black berry bushes TFTC
After our first mud treatment session close by we decided to cool off taking a stroll to GZ. We arrived at GZ but had some good searching going for a while till the geocache was located. TFTC
We made our way down here between 15 and 17 Curacao Pl, came by here with an awesome team, I think rustynz put it the best: 'The Magnificent Seven' (check out IMDB) a team of gunmen on a mission to protect a cache from destruction (or something like that). We scrambled our way to GZ and not finding the cache at a likely looking tree, I said aloud I thought the co-ords were well out, so that got Rebel98 searching in another area and before you knew it, he yelled: 'I smell a cache!'. Well, sure enough he found it alright, he threw the container to me and I was the one to sign us all in. well done team! Are we having fun? Yeeeessss!
Anyone keen to get muddy again this weekend to find some fun caches ? Meeting at a green space between 15 and 17 Curacao Place ...12 noon ...
Some of us from West are planning to find at least 3 - Swamp Scamble and Secret Island and Wakaaranga Creek near Halfmoon Bay this Saturday 29th August ! Low tide is about 12.30 .

Out this afternoon with a group of us wanting to attempt this Cache to fulfil the geocaching Road trip requirement.
Everyone arrives and all "gumboot" up ready for the big trip. Our Initial approach was a bit adventurous so we back tracked and headed for a more gentile approach.
Down on more level ground (And that's all relative!!!!) Some of the scrub was thick and some of little cachers had to be lifted so they didn't get stuck.
We had noted the previous corrected co-ordinates so it wasn't long before we had this one in hand. A great shared adventure for one and all!
Muddy smiles from the junior cachers and anticipation for going further to another muddy cache not far from here.
TFTC and the awesome adventure!!!

Needed a D/T 5 for the road trip souvenir so a plan was put in place for a group of us to attempt this cache and the other one close by.
A couple of us overshot GZ but the majority of the group soon had it in hand.
Thanks for the cache.

We were still needing a D5 or T5 cache for the geocaching road trip and this fit both criteria so we joined with a group of like minded cachers, donned our gumboots and headed off to find the cache. The first approach we found didn't look too inviting so we headed down the street a bit and found a better start point. We headed down (11 of us) and, while a few of the group were a bit gung-ho and headed further on, others of us found the cache and called them back. We continued on from here to find a secret island.
Out with a group of south/ east Auckland cachers this afternoon, with a mission to get this cache, and another one further along, as some of us still needed a D5 or T5 for the Geocaching Road Trip.
Met up on a nearby road, and I put on my brand new gumboots, purchased purely for this occasion. Off we clumped, looking for a suitable entry point, which we found on the second attempt. Down the bank we all went, with the ones ahead calling out helpful advice, like "there's a tree root there!" and "It gets a bit slippery here!"
We made it down in one piece (whew) and navigated our way to the cache. Some of us got a bit enthusiastic about mud walking and wandered too far, only to be brought up short by someone cheekily calling out "you keep going then, and we'll just stop and get this cache" (or words to that effect). Oh.... whoops!
Log signed, cache replaced, and we squelched off to the next one.
TFTF- and the mud, and the fun!!!

I think I made it harder for myself by approaching GZ from the most difficult direction. I decided to use the coordinates given by a previous cacher as an initial search area. Searched for a little while and paused to re-read descriptions and hints, then out of the corner of my eye I spotted it... just had to get to it which was easier said than done. Now I understand what the hint was referring to Left some swag and signed log. Once replaced I started my return journey and noticed a far easier route which had a geo trail TFTC!
Out for the day picking up a few caches to help us complete the final stages of our current GIO licence.
This was our first find of the day and was a lot easier than what we were expecting! That said, the descent down (once we found the right entrance way) and the climb back up certainly got the heart racing for a day of caching!

After walking in a nearby park - looking for a few caches... I was so wet that I decided it was the right day to pay a visit to this cache !
I managed to find a good way to reach GZ despite a lot of water everywhere on the floor. I think my boots were filled until I reached the cache... anyway, I spotted the small container and managed to log my visit without letting too much drops of rain falling on the logbook or into the box.
Nice cache, pretty difficult to reach. The ground was extremely slippery and/or humid !
Back home, all clothes and shoes went in the washing machine !

Well since my nearest unfound is a 5/5 and it's been there for 6 months it was high time I got out and had a look for it. Chose a time when I was unlikely to run into any of the locals who might recognise me and found a quick route in. Tuftys coords got me close and then a gaze around got me on to the hint. Thanks for the cache. Cache owner needs to get muddy himself and got and find my nearby cache http://coord.info/GC3H2Z8
After a bit of a hunt, saw kiwileons log about using Tufty's coords. Didn't have Tufty's log on the GPS, so had to resort to the phone to get it. Quickly found once those coords were plugged in.

Made my way to GZ, saw a good hiding spot but no luck.
Went through the previous logs and with Tufty's coords the cache was located easily.

We were out on a little cache run around East Auckland today, working on collecting some requirements towards our GIO Licence challenge on Rangitoto Island.
Lots of thorns here and silly enough, we were wearing shorts! Luckily it wasn't too muddy, thanks to all the summer sun, recently! Soon found the easiest path to GZ, some blood drawn, but still lots of fun was hand. Thanks for the hide!

Glad we were here in dry, summer weather and not in the middle of winter! Clue made sense after cache was found. Thanks for the cache.
A mad bunch of Hamilton Cachers decided to knock of the "Only a Matter of Time Challenge" of 10x T4 Caches in one day. A lot of planning had gone into what caches we each needed and what route to take to said caches. We picked a day with some lovely weather and some fantastic caches and some downright hard caches. Thanks for the adventures HKCB, Catsndragons, Iammrwalker, Kiwiteacher, Kiwis69 and Zorgon.

Yet again, attending a caching event in the mighty ‘Tron leads to an insane caching mission: this time, we’re a band of seven intrepid Waikato cachers determined to qualify for stretch.kerr’s "Only a Matter of Time Challenge” - 10 finds x terrain rating of T>=4 to be found on the same calendar day. A list of potential finds was draw up & carefully discussed, with plenty of extras included to allow for the risk of a few DNFs and to also allow enough finds for those in our group who wanted/needed to avoid killing untold numbers of caching fairies (i.e. not re-visiting previously found caches). Much plotting about caching order then ensued to allow for likely traffic flows around the metropolis and, more importantly, low tide times to avoid the need for kayaks. With the weather gods thankfully on our side, set off early in the company of HKCB, CatsandDragons, Kiwiteacher, Iammrwalker, 11hpg11 and Zorgon to start the onslaught.
Going well & ahead of schedule by the time we reached here. Even better, the recent dry weather meant this find wasn't as arduous as we'd feared - can imagine this would be much worse in winter - & Zorgon's new shoes survived the find (but not for much longer!), thanks for the adventure & TFTC

Today was the first day of the new year for a large combined mission of Hamilton cachers for the "Only a Matter of Time" Challenge requiring 10 x T4 caches in a single calendar day. With two cars we set out nice and early to "Knock the Ba&t@rd Off" (in the words of a great adventurer).
We finished the day with a total of 21 caches that qualified , only 4 required special equipment (ROPES), and two I had found previously along with a FTF on the way home which was a bonus to end the day.
Our first Swamp/Mud cache for the day, however dry weather put paid to that and shoes remained both clean and dry. With so many of us the cache was soon located as per Tuffty's coordinates and we were off to the next.
thanks for the placement

I suspect we got a bit lucky here as after all the fine weather recently we didn't need to scamble through the swamp as it was dry.
Many thanks

I found this cache as part of a group of seven adventurous Hamilton based Geocachers attempting to complete the 'Only a matter of time' challenge which requires you to find 10 T4+ caches in one day. Being over achievers we found twenty one, a puzzle and snatched a FTF as well.
This was the first of six planned mud walks. We got pretty lucky and found a bit of a geotrail that meant we avoided much bush bashing, and came across the cache without having to wade into the mud flats. We were not so fortunate on the other mud walks however....

Another crazy adventure from the Hamilton crew. This time 21 T4 or higher caches in a 24 hour period, we only needed 10 but we added a few more to make the day more interesting. Seven cacher's put their hand up to partake in this crazy day filled mud, laughter and monkeying around. With an early start of the day we completed what we set out for, plus a few extras. Numbers for the day 21 T4 or higher caches, 1 D4 puzzle, having issues locating the challenge cache (eventually found it), and getting a FTF on the way home. All in all an EPIC day, and a beer well deserved.
With all the nice weather meant the swamp wasn't muddy, and with the great geo-trail to follow meant a easier than normal trip to GZ. We did encounter a few thorns but nothing we couldn't handle. I was still trying to bush bash and wasn't looking at the GPS when someone yelled out behind me that they had located the cache. Thanks for the placement.

Oh, look at this--a D5, T5 near city center. Obviously, with my preference for high terrain caches I had to check it out. Though I'm not convinced about the rating, I'll take it. A pair of gumboots and a prior finder's coordinates helped. Cheers for the cache.
It was a bit of a scramble to get to the swamp, followed the geotrail to GZ using Tufty’s coords. Was it extra muddy….. nah….. we had our gumboots on, it could get extra thorny but we didn’t draw blood, and we had heaps of extra fun, TFTC.
Scrambled over double quick and soon spotted and followed the geotrail to the cache. Overshot but with Tufty's coordinates I soon zeroed in on the cache. Figured I may as well continue on to Secret Island given my muddy state!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Teamed up with TmWelsh, Troutfly, PageNZ, Tufty, UncleSam to do this cache. Picked our way to GZ & the hunt began. Allowing for a widened search area, about 10mins later finally came up with the goods. Coords about 16m out. Nice to get a 5/5 D/T.

Here our team expanded out to six cachers to try and locate this one. There was talk that the coordinates were out by at least 10 m so we widened the search area. It was lucky that there was a lot of eyes looking. After about 10 minutes it was finally located about 12 m out.
I took new coordinates which are S 36 53.501 E 174 53.499.
Cheers for the cache.

Having made arrangements earlier on we met here after lunch. Our merry band had now swelled in numbers and consisted of Trout-Fly, Tufty, avoyager, Pagenz and Uncle Sam. Aware that the co-ords seemed to be out we all chose a different area to search and the good were soon found. Tufty took a new reading and we actually met one of the cache placers a little later on. I was out and about with Tufty, Team Welsh, and Pagenz grabbing the caches, enjoying the walk and having a good time. Just about the perfect days caching. Ran into a couple of other cachers doing the same thing. Popular place! We now had to add avoyager and Uncle Sam to the group. With all these cachers, it was a quick find. Thanks.
Out with a few other cachers today. Took us a while to find this one, but we finally heard that wonder sound "I've found it".
Co-ords are about 12 metres off. Maybe change the difficulty and Terrain rating. 3/3 sounds good.

Saw this new cache published and a little intrigued by the D/T ratings so planned a trip over after work. Arrived just in time for the FTF with mike-miss and lostcourse who had been there searching for a while. Had a bit of a chat afterwards but the rain came and got a bit heavier so cut that short. Joint FTF with mike-miss and lostcourse. {FTF} #1612 TFTC!!!
This new listing caught my eye when the new notifications came through this morning. Hoping that everyone was working, this one just might still be up for grabs after work.
Hatched a plan with FMZ and Lostcourse for a little after work mission. Arrived at GZ to find Lostcourse already there searching. He'd already covered abit of ground and uncovered the cache just as FMZ arrived in time for a joint FTF all round. TFTC!

After making my way across East Auckland, collecting caches, I arrived at the main attraction. I had arranged to meet Mikemiss and FMZ there. I was early so took the opportunity to work out the best way to get to GZ. In the end it wasn't too bad. GZ on the other hand presented a real needle in a haystack sort of issue. Nothing for it but to attempt a meticulous search of GZ. However, the CO is not wrong, the terrain is muddy and particularly thorny. The blackberry got me good on several occasions; watch out for the vertical vines of blackberry, they are particularly nasty to get entangled in!
After much fruitless searching the Calvary arrived in the form of Mikemiss and then FMZ. After extending the search area yet again in a previously un-searched spot I finally but my hands on the elusive hide. That took some serious searching. Coordinates were about ten metres or so out by my reckoning. Great to get the {FTF} on such a challenging cache. Cheers for the cache placement!
