Extremely good.I worked this one out on the fly(pardon the pun) and wrote on my add my calculations.Had me questioning my basic mathematics.Great find in the end.Got the whole place to myself. Cheers First Finder this calender year Be a FP if the CO was still playing.
We were staying for couple of days in Mount Isa to get as many caches as possible - quite successful when we left. We can be very happy with the result! Walks, hikes, bushbashing, drives, stops and goes, big caches, small caches, usual hides, unusual hides, stuck on dirt roads, wrong turns: we had it all. Thanks to all cache owners for keeping us busy and entertained! We saw interesting areas, more suburbs, in other words: we had a ball!Tftc cruzeycoop
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa Visiting the Isa for a few days, caching is a great way to see the sights. I like this one a lot, simple to calculate and a very sneaky hide. Have a FP from me. Tftc
Ocw the Bebes. An easy work out for the Coords and off we went. Nicely constructed cache. We walked straight to it and found the log quite easily. Could have taken a while though. Tftc
Found the cache with TBU1Bikesu - and with Team Q4 which added extra fun. Some caches were easy to get to, some needed bigger efforts, some were quickly found, some took longer .... It was a fun day out. Thanks to all cache owners who put out these caches for our enjoyment. A fav point from me
After QOGM2023 Longreach so close had to come up and visit some friends who I knew in Nanango and Roma. Thanks for placing and maintaining this one. TFTC cruzeycoop

In the company of RoddyC, hatzofff, and grannysmith1947, we are now signing the logs as Team Q4.There is a good variety and plenty of caches on offer, and we hope to find as many as possible whilst here ??Thank you to all the cache owners who have placed the good hides for the caching communities' benefit and enjoyment ????

Day 19With the QOGM event now over it was time to head up to Mount Isa to a town we had never visited before bringing us higher in Queensland than we have ever been before. Our aim is to do some solved puzzles, multis, the virtual, labcaches and some older trads, not to mention sightseeing. Our first full day caching locally we set out after breakfast to explore the town and surrounding areas.A great little hide after we found our number. Adding a favourite point. Thanks cruzeycoop for the multi placement.
On our travels we found ourselves in my isa for a few days we attempted this cache yesterday but if only I read the question as it was written not how I read it we would have found it then but no, it was while having lunch at the pub we redid the coordinates and went back and found this very clever cache pretty much where we had started, a favourite for us thanks for placing it
Liked this multi. We checked the plane out and then headed off to find the cache, which was close by. Wow, what a great hide. Afp from us had to be the best multi in Mt Isa so far. Tftc
Day 83 of our greynomad trip up north from Vic, after a the JLWEvents in Wudinna SA, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, through to Alice Springs, Uluru, Darwin, Kakadu and Litchfield we continue our journey back south. It is also day 82 of a streak, so we are keeping it rolling, I think my numbers are right because right now I'm not sure, at least gcdotcom does.
Staying in Mt Isa for a few nights, what a great cache to start the day after gathering required info yesterday.

Out and about caching in Mt Isa today. This multi was clever and we enjoyed it and learning the history along with it too. Very interesting. Once at GZ, experience helped us here and didn't take too long to find. TFTC
Thanks cruzeycoop for this cache. I love it. ️ I couldn't have done it without the hint. GPS co-ordinates are spot on. Thanks for the multi. I believe this will be my last cache in Mt Isa as I leave on the bus south in a couple of hours. Greetings from the Blue Mountains NSW.
After visiting the nearby wall and reading some information about the history of the flying service service here in Mount Isa, we made our way over to the starting point for this cache.
We collected some numbers and did the maths, which showed a likely location on our map. We then disappeared off to do the nearby wherigo.
Walking back to the car, we almost had to walk right by this one, and so came to collect the final.
Surveying the area, a couple of possibilities were seen, however we initially dismissed the Hide and moved on. Coming back after a few minutes to the same spot, we realised this was what we were seeking and soon had the log sheet in our hands, and our name added.
Thanks Cruzeycoop. A FP added here.

This morning we spent some time reading the interesting history here before making our way to the WP. Such a wonderful worthwhile service this is.
We do enjoy a nice short multi … especially when there’s a beaut cache at the final. Very nice work.

Thank you.

Had some time to kill before lunch, so we popped over to take a look at this multi. Made short work of the info gathering and then off to GZ! Looked at it, discounted, tried something else - nope, then back to the original thing. BINGO!
Having spent over an hour on this yesterday, I brought Pa with me today hoping that his 6th sense would help me find it. I was right, but only after he had given up and sat in the car for a while during which time I continued to search.
I gave up and went to the car and would you believe Pa got out and immediately walked to where I had just been searching. He did a more thorough check than me and lo and behold I soon had the log in my hands. After signing I passed it back to Pa who replaced it for me.
This is definitely the nastiest hide I have ever come across. Great work cruzeycoop, take an FP for your efforts.

After getting the wrong coordinates on the first attempt(carried too many 1’s). The second set put me right in the zone, initially went for the wrong pice of hardware, then spotted the right one. TFTC.
A great multi and fav from me. It took me a while to spot it, head slap moment when I realised I looked at it several times and discounted it.

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the northern tip of Australia and back. Traveling up solo along the Strzelecki Track to Innamincka, then through central Queensland to Quilpie, Blackall, Barcaldine, Hughendon and Ravenshoe to Cairns. In Cairns I met up with e.gregory1 and a non-cacher friend and spent three weeks on Cape York Peninsula before making our way back to Cairns and Mareeba. From there I headed on my own back home via Normanton and Karumba, Cloncurry, Mount Isa, Tennant Creek and back down the Stuart Highway through Alice Springs to Adelaide. All in all I spent six weeks on the road, visited many out of the way locations, enjoying the scenery and finding caches along the way. Thanks for the cache cruzeycoop!
After 3 trips here and many many different coordinates, I brought my friend Seamus with me and he found it whilst we were contemplating the location. Very tricky. TFTC
Staying close by on our trip from Gawler to Cairns to miss Covid. We tried 3 sets of cords and all were out by 26 MTS approx.
I sat down to have an other look at the instructions and hubby said got it. Clever hide. T.F.T.C.

Snuck out before sundown to grab this one. We'd taken a picture of WP1 yesterday so I knew the information for that.
On arriving at GZ the ground was all freshly sprinkled, but we managed to find the cache only moderately soaked. Very impressed with the hide, added to the favourites list!

Staying in Mount Isa and after after a day of rain yesterday headed out to grab a few caches in the area. I found a variety of caches and this was one of them.
I parked nearby and headed off and soon gathered the information needed. I headed back to the geomobile and worked out the final and it wasn't long and I was at GZ and made a quick find on a very nicely constructed cache container.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.
Well worth a FP for the effort and something different.

Thank you for the cache. Took me a little longer to spot then what normal cachers would but I got help.
While waiting for Karicka to join us for the Wherigo, Wayn0 and I quickly worked out the final and revisited an area we had been this morning. After checking one or two things, we quickly found it. Thanks for the cache
Whilst in town for work I decided to nab a few caches, I gathered the details here on my way from the airport and waited to do the maths at my hotel
With some extra time up today I headed for GZ, after a bit of a look about reading about the RFDS I then set about the task of finding the cache.
After a small scan I was slightly stumped but then had a ohhh should I try that moment and soon the log was in hand

Day 21 of my trip north from Adelaide.
After camping last night at Clem Walton Park, I was on my way early towards Mount Isa, via Mary Kathleen, picking up a few caches along the way.
It was a beautiful mild morning, which made walking and exploring quite pleasant. But it soon heated up to the low 30s by lunchtime, which for me at least is a bit uncomfortable for any exertion too far from the cool air conditioning in the car. Nonetheless I did make at least one strenuous walk up a hill in search of a cache, but mostly didn’t stray too far from the car.
After collecting the required information and calculating GZ, it took me a while to see the hide.

OMG this hide has been the source of sadness, frustration, annoyance and finally joy when eventually found. The source of all these emotions was my excellent ability to read one thing and act on something completely different, hence my maths was way off for the first few attempts.
Having reread the description properly and redoing the maths correctly, the cache was found with relative ease.
Thanks for the cache.

Clever little cache. Finally caching in the city I grew up in. That Letter holder has been there ever since I can remember and i’m pretty old now. Left in 1991. Found the Final pretty easily after having a look at the plaques and seat. The clue kicked in as soon as i saw it. Missing one pencil, but fits better this way. It had been jammed in and the log was all scrunched up. All good now. Thanks for the multi.
This was our last find in Mt Isa and one of the best. We gathered the information needed and were not sure when we got to gz if I had made a mistake but it all tied in with the theme. I read the hint and then after a little look saw something that fitted the hint and sure enough there was the cache. Definitely deserves a FP. Thanks for placing this crafty cache here for us to enjoy. Now it's back to Brisbane.
Day 14 on the way to Darwin, spent the last night at the Rodeo and Lee Kernaghan Concert with friends from Isa, had a great time. Accordingly we were very tired today, but have to go, on the one hand to collect clues for the mystery at the museum and on the other, to discover MI.
Already back in Cloncurry we visited Flynns Place and were amazed what a man with a vision can achiev. The hide confused us at first, but in the end, we saw a little discrepancy and the hint matched, great.

On our first full day in Mt Isa we decided it was time to find a few caches. Gently warm with a nice breeze to disperse the flies.
It took us a couple of attempts to find the access into waypoint 1 for this one even though we could see where we needed to be. Once there we quickly located the information we needed and made the calculations.
Off to GZ we went and the search began. We looked for quite a while with no success, and then finally read the clue. It was then we found the well disguised cache. We doubt we would have been prepared to search where we needed to without it.
What a great hide, and a great multi.
A favourite from us.

Headed into Mt Isa this morning to do some necessary shopping, as well as picking up some caches while we were there. We just did a selection and each cache found had our name added to its log before we moved on.
This was a multi where the new co-ords were easy to work out. On arriving at GZ, we noticed something that needed to be inspected in more detail. It was a very well constructed cache which blended well with its surroundings.
It gets a favourite point from us for the effort.

After spending 5 nights at Lawn Hill, we needed to come back into town and restock before moving further west. We spent a lovely few days in Mt Isa, the mining town, and we enjoyed all the walks and views in the area!

Hi there cruzeycoop - today was our fourth full day in Mt Isa, and after a late start we drove to the town lookout to get information for the Multicache there then to find the other multi in town before looking for a few caches before afternoon tea. This is a cleverly concealed cache and when found the cache and log are in good condition - SL. This is our find #4925 - thanks to cruzeycoop for this cache.

If this one was meant to be fun, it was not. All the time being watch and mocked by drunk aboriginals whilst trying to work out how to get a gps coordinate on an iPhone. So not a good one. Sorry.
Can you please have a check that it is still in place there was too many of us looking today to not find it
Thanks

Sneaky little thing had me stumped big time. Wandered around for about an hour. Kept looking at the one strange thing that it kept taking me back to. Tftc
Got to the original spot and worked out were to go next. When we got there they were several workmen around so thought best not to look now and make it obvious seeing as I had 2 small kids who can't keep quite about what we are doing. Will have to leave the find for another trip.
After quickly finding the first stage we entered the new coords and walked to the cache location After searching everywhere we were at the point of giving up when I realised that one digit was entered wrong in my phone and then we made our way to the real GZ. It was early in the morning so the gate was shut and there was none around. It did not take too long to spot something a little unusual. Very creative. Thanks Cruzeycoop for the cache to see this location. I have been to Mount Isa several times before but never seen this part of town
The big move from Townsville to Mandurah WA. 5000km and lots of caches!:) Passing through The Isa and spending half a day here for some much needed stretching of legs and caching of course. Loved this multi, especially making people aware of the RFDS. Will award a FP for the craftiness and evilness of the hide:) well done!

I think our co-ords were a bit off, probably didn't add up correct as it led us into an area that was fenced off and inaccessible. As time was short we just had to head off. We will definitely attempt again next time we're in the Isa.
This has taken me 6 months to find and I admit it
A warm summer evening I got the letters from stage one.
On my next visit to Mt Isa I made my first visit to my calculated GZ, returning with out a log at that time.
After this failure I did some other caches in town and around on my next visits, just to wait and see if the cache could be found by anyone at all. Suddenly the found logs started coming, last in town I went to GZ again and spotted an oddity that I had missed earlier. Today was a good day to finally log this as found - yes my suspicion was correct and it was indeed the cache I had spotted last time.
Thanks for the cache

Getting the co-ords to GZ at WP1 was the easiest part of this cache. Finding this clever hide took ages and it was quite ironic that it was actually in the first place we looked, just not well enough!!
A car did pull up and its muggle entered the building as we were searching so we pretended to read the notice boards. After a while we were tempted to go and drag him out as we had read that one finder worked here. Perhaps it was him?
Just as we were about to call it quits Mr Beetle re-checked our original suspicion and this clever cache was revealed.
Thanks, a favourite point from us.

As today is Sunday, and hopefully a quiet day, we decided to attempt the caches in town that may be in more muggle prone areas.
We had a couple of attempts at this one today, andfinally found the sneaky containerafter realising we had "fat fingered" a couple of digits into the GPS.
We awarded this cache a favourite point for the ingenious construction.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing..
Thanks for the hunt today,
