Two lovely days spent camping in Tidal River were just the welcome to Australia and a new environment which we needed. Laura and I havent left Myanmar since our brief leap day trip to Singapore, and our two week spring break to visit Lauras friends in Melbourne is all the break from reality and a much needed change of environment. After packing up our tent and getting everything all back in the car, it was time to head back into Mitcham. Once we left Tidal River, our drive back home from the Wilsons Promontory was a little more relaxed than coming here and racing against the rain. Some time after leaving the camp and heading closer to civilization, we drove through this road once again, returning the same way. Before getting on the freeway and outta here, we made one last stop at this park and grab stash. While the others waited in the car, I ran to GZ where I spotted the cache from a distance. I got close and saw the cute original container, which had a bit of water inside. Luckily, the inner container and logbook were both dry, so I was able to ink in our nick without issue a minute after two PM, marking our fifth find today and our 7093rd overall find. I snapped a photo and returned the stash as we found it, and got back in the car to head out. Thank you wyrdsister for placing and maintaining your Ma and Pa stash; we were glad to visit it and spice up our Wednesday while in ????Australia for our spring break, visiting from slightly-distant ????Myanmar! For my own personal statistics; this is the fifteenth of 112 geocaches we visited while on spring break, excluding the 56 adventure lab caches we visited and 28 Waymarks visited.

We are staying at Jam Jerrup for the weekend for a friend’s 60th birthday party, dressing up in 60’s gear! The party was last night and was lots of fun! We checked out of the holiday accommodation this morning and headed back towards Corinella, stopping for a few caches on the way. This was next on the agenda as we are heading home towards Melbourne. We spotted this cache which had a lot of FP’s so decided to check it out. We parked in the appropriately named road and headed to GZ and spotted the very cute cache and had a little chuckle! Signed and returned.

Headed away this long weekend with fitzy_1965 for the Great Victorian County hunt. Our mission is to finish off Victoria.

We drove from Sale to Queenscliff and collected 6 more counties along the way. We liked Queenscliff so much that we decided yo stay the night and do some more caching in the area.

All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. And thanks to all the COs who continue to help us reach our goals.

What a quirky little cache. Loved it.

32,030. Found with minniek during our Great Victorian County Hunt this long weekend. Our aim is to finish off Victoria - minniek needing 14 and myself 7.

We left Canberra after work on Friday and stayed overnight at a familiar free camp at Oxley Reserve. Last night we arrived in Sale and had a great dinner at a local pub followed by a luxury motel room. Day 3 dawned and we started off by completing 'Wellington', then heading West to complete 'Bass Coast'. This was not on our list, but when we drove past and saw the typical Aussie humour involved we just had to turn around and find this cache. Quick find once at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next cache on our list.

Thanks wyrdsister !! Fav Point !

Out for another days caching with Tiz13, the weather was perfect and we had plenty of laughs along the way as we picked up some caches to help complete challenges and a couple of oh yes puzzle solves.

This is one of the caches found today. This cache kind of made us late for a meet up but the favorites on it had us intriqued.

Thanks wyrdsister For the cache.

Driving down to Waratah Bay to camp for the labour day weekend, I had a look at my route on the geocache app before leaving and decided on this one as my first stop along the way.

I parked my car a little way down the road and wandered over to it. It didn’t take long to find the very cute cache nestled away just off the A440. The cows in the adjacent field were very curious as to what I was doing. Got it signed and replaced as new.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, it was a lovely little pit stop to stretch my legs.

Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the logbook nice and dry.

Having a great time finding an array of different types and D/T rated caches.
Thanks to all the CO’s for hiding your particular cache.
Day 3 and we’re hunting LGA’s today.
My apologies for the boiler style log.

It's the first full day hanging out with Big Matt, cruising around seemingly arbitrary bits of outer Melbourne and beyond ahead of the [Whittlesea Mega-Event](https://coord.info/GC8EW40). I've been reasonably ignorant about the plan, and given I'm also the least familiar with the area, I'm not driving, so willingly along for the ride.

This part of the world sure feels like a long way from a big city, and we're jiggling and adding to the plan as we go, ensuring we tick off the goals we want - namely doing the LGA and highly favourited geocaches at the moment.

Parking was just up the side street and I was immediately perplexed by the pile of junk in the gully. After some investigation it made sense. Locals have added to the sign post, thusly named. However, recently someone has clobbered the sign and it's a pile in a half-full-of-water ditch now. Disappointing, but still made sense in the end.

A short walk up the road, through long grass and high, flowering weeds to GZ. Once nearby, Matt spotted it and walked the long way around. I crawled in and grabbed the container first. Cramped, I handed him the logbook to sign. Also nicely thematic hide too! Replaced all as found just before 14:00 and we're off to the next. Thanks for this geocache, wyrdsister Smile

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 12055.

Captain Terror and I were out and about finding caches and ticking off LGA’s and we visited this spot. I had to explain to our you padawan the meaning of the name but we made a quick find.

Thanks wyrdsister for the cache.

On our way to Alberton. We stopped at the new and fancy Caldermeade dairy farm. I liked the road sign here.
We removed a pile of rubbish someone had poured out of their car ?!
Farm next door to the cache were taking their children/grandchildren for a ride on the tractor. Smile

Today's adventure was to go geocaching (yes, that means FTF Hounding) down on Point Smythe near Venus Bay. Also to collect whatever other caches caught my eye on route and while there. Looks like 13 caches found and only 1 DNF.

Second cache of the day, and I'm sick of driving past this Green Geocache symbol on my map and not stopping. I suspect I have time to collect it, without worrying that the FTF will be taken. Pleased to change it to a now.

Funny reference the I got after finding the cache. Bit of water in the outer container, but otherwise all good here.

Thanks for the cache Wyrd Sister

A quick and easy, novel find.
Luckily we are of the vintage to remember the black and white comedy movies if Ma and Pa Kettle.
Appropriate next to Kettles Road!

… we unfortunately had to pour ( ironic!) some water out of the container.
Log and all was dry inside though.

Way harder to access than it should have been - don’t go in from side, go around. Ah, what was I thinking! Many scratches later saw error in my approach Not a hot day so water only lukewarm but emptied anyway. Tftc and for making it so cute

Off to Nyora for an end of year event .. took the opportunity to grab a few caches along the way. Although still early it was already very hot. This was my first weekend in Melbourne for months, owing to some birthday and other engagements. Saturday was free however so I teamed up with OzHockeyChick to go exploring for the day.

Thought we would check in on this cache on our journey East. The cache is in great condition and the log book is fine with plenty of room. All signed and left in good order. A great themed pole on the opposite side of the road here matching the road and cache name!

Thanks wyrdsister for the cache.

A trip to Fish Creek to visit awphoto with BettyBoo3747.
Collected a few odd caches on the way down (many still disabled unfortunately).

We wondered about the cache name until we came close to GZ - very cute.
Liked the community art, but particularly appreciated your contribution.
It was a bit damp inside (about a half a cup), but the log container was dry.
Thanks, Robmc.

We were on the move again today with ilook4geo and just picking up a few caches along the route as we went. This was a nice easy cache to find and all was in good condition. The outer container needed to be drained out and there would have been enough water in it for a cup of tea. The inner container and contents were all dry. Loved the cache name and the container being good to the local theme. Signed the log, put everything back as it had been found and headed off again. Thanks go to wyrdsister for placing this cache.
