Walked straight to it but even after pouring out the water it was too wet to sign. Tpvsl NINO TFTC our find 4987!
Cool hodenot the easiest cache y far. So many hiding spots and no coerce so we tried a couple of spots. Very waterlogged. Puddle in the cache. Very wet for u too in the rain but fun. Cool spot.
Out with Kiwi Does Stuff today exploring some new caching territory. This find has us spinning with the GPS but we quickly made our way onto the cache. Extremely wet and needs some TLC to bring it back to life. TFTC
Out and about with Reschedule exploring not too far locations and collecting caches on the way. We were not positive if we were going to be able to drive to this, but we committed and thankfully we could. Poor cell coverage hindered us a bit, but once looking in the correct location we soon had cache in hand. TFTC
A nice quick grab ( and excuse to rest in the shade!) While cycle from Little Waipa. TFTC!
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. All good here. Log getting full. Found with Fisha1288 Cheers, Cympull.
This is one of only a handful of missing 'placed' dates I need to complete my grid, so it was the target cache for today. We parked up as near as we could and then matagouri made the find. It's always good picking up an older cache. Thanks for putting this here
A humid, drizzly day in Arapuni with rattll. This cache was targeted by both of us to fill a Jasmer gap. We parked near the road-bridge amid the debris of a boy-racer burnout session. From there, a quick walk to GZ (where some disbelief was expressed at the use of the term 'cliff' in the hint). Rattll checked one spot, I took another, and it was me (this time) that made the find. All good in the container. Thanks for keeping this one going. Tftc!
Visiting family in the Waikato and was super keen to come out here while in the neighborhood. It's such a beautiful area to spend a bit of time, great cafe for lunch to finish off the walk. Well we certainly over complicated things here and I had a super fun time clambering all over. Before coming back to basics and caching sense. A FAV for the fun and filling a space on my Jasmer grid. Thank you.
My niece and i found this spot about a month ago and wondered if there were any caches here. But with no reception I couldn't see. So back we came with screen shots of map and clues and found it today.
Good hide.
Good hide.
Out today to get our points for The Solstice souvenir
Bit wet day this way

A nice easy find. We have now done the puzzle the multi and now the trad in the area. Love it here. Thanks for the cache which is all good.
We have always had a hankering for dams and power stations, and this one proved its worth (even though we couldn't get inside).
Straight forward find, all safe and dry depot the rain.
Thanks for bringing us here and adding the icing on the cake with a cache.

Heading down this way today and I was able to pick up this old cache for my jasmer challenge. Great spot, nice find. A favourite from me TFTC
Nice easy find once I turned my cacher senses on

Neither myself (Skish) or my dog (Kobs... Kobi) like the suspension bridge and we both opted to walk back along the road

Up from Southland with Cantabrian Kiwicampnut to get the final piece of the PWGT puzzle.
Day 2 - Hamilton to Te Awamutu... via the scenic route!
I'm attempting to fill in my missing NZ months, so as this is so close to the PWGT it was a must do as one of 4 left in NZ placed this month. Another gap filled on Month placed grid.
Uplifted a TB that has been in the hands of the current owner for a few years, not sure where its been but back on thd radar now.
Needs new log sheet soon.
Thanks for the cache The Elves

Ruru_Nz and I on another road trip to complete this area of the Geotour before it finishes.
Drove instead of walked from other bridge to this one. Reasonably easy find as mentions as in first place we looked.

What a dramatic area of the river, the suspension bridge was impressive. Thanks for placing a cache here.
Good hide. Took us a while to find as we went too far into the bush! Found it eventually
Thanks for this. Lovely walk in the area, hot! Found with @_AmnerFamily!
A quick trip to the area for a wirk trip and vacation had to stop here to grab this one. A piece of nz I will need to come back and explore more when I'm not on the clock .????????????????????????????Getting out and about in to the out doors is my happy place so any excuse to go caching. As if I need an excuse aahhh nop I will go rain hail or snow so let's goooo ????????????????????????????Life is short. Live life one foot step at a time.Never say" I'm gonna "- Just do it!! Tomorrow may never come just grab Life by the horns Thanks for the hide ??tftc
Ellyfree was with me on this adventure. The puzzle/mystery cache in the area is amazing.
As luck would have it I had an old fashioned compass with me which directed me to the cliff face right in front of me and didn't take long to find the case tftc
Out riding from Mangakino village to Arapuni village today. Headed across the bridge to go down and search for this cache. Eventually located. Shame about all the rubbish in the area. TFTC
We were following the instructions of google maps to find the PWGT cache that is near her. Thankfully we got taken down this road (the wrong one for where we thought we were going) but as there is this cache nearby it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
GK went straight to the right place and picked up the cache, the log was signed and he put it back where he found it. It wasn't until later that I realised it is an oldie and that made the mistake even more satisfying.
We are in the North Island to try to complete the PWGT Tahi section so we are having to head to the far north. Along the way we will pick up a few other caches that take our interest such as those with lots of favourites or size large or letterbox caches or some that will just help us to fulfil some of the various challenges we are working on.
With the new souvenir challenge we need to use the app to log the finds, but as I like to waffle on and write my stories on my laptop I am writing these while back at the campervan.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Was nearby for the geotour cache and saw this oldie, so made the extra walk down.
Cache still going strong, took me few minutes as I was way too deep in the bushes!
Thanks for placing this cache all those years ago!

#10,765. The plan today is to do a series of geotour caches around the Waikato before returning to Auckland and dropping off Infoferret for her flight back to Wellington. We are also doing a few adventure labs today. Well we had driven down here before doing the swingbridge walk. There were guys on the bridge abseiling down doing maintenance. After doing the PWGT cache I remembered bruzie had mentioned there was an old cache hidden in the area. So checked on c:geo and was surprised to see it was a May 2002 cache. So we drove back down and armed with the hint about which tree to walk in from IF spotted the hiding place immediately. We soon had the cache in hand. Signed the logbook and returned the container where found. Thanks The Elves for hiding it here so long ago (almost 20 years ago).
Gsel remembered there was an older cache here, after we had crossed the gorge, so we headed back here to find it. TFTC The Elves.
It feels like it's taken forever for the day of the Auckland MEGA to finally get here, and it's been a hell of a journey for everyone involved with trying to organise it. But today is my big drive up to Auckland for tomorrows event such as it can be under the shadow of COVID restrictions. As with all big drives, it's also an opportunity to try and grab some caches on the way. In particular I was looking to find some of the PWGT1 caches as well as one or two targeted caches of interest to me, such as this one.
I've never been here before, which is one of the joys of caching for me. I really wanted to find this cache as it would fill one of my last 8 remaining Jasmer Grid holes for NZ but having read previous logs I was a bit worried it might take a while to find.
However, I needn't have worried as it took me all of 30 seconds to spot the hide and extract the container. Feeling very pleased, I sorted out the usual caching etiquette and replaced everything back as found.
Thanks for setting this one up.

It's my Mega weekend road trip! This is day one, on the road to Auckland. Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC

On a week long trip up and down the middle part of the North Island. Same weekend as the Mega event in Auckland (but that's not where I will end up). Targeting a few specific caches, and a few others. This is one of them.
Took a little longer to find than it should have, but got there eventually. All good here. I think that's another cacher from Wellingtons car parked there .. TFTC.

I was looking through the comments and everyone said it was easy but it took me quite a while. don’t be fooled by the compass it lies. assessment spot though
Nice easy cache! Came to the bridge for a day trip and suddenly thought of finding a cache so we didn’t grab a pen before we left!
Found on Monday, however forgot to log! Awesome search. Took mum and nephew:) neff and I walked past it a dozen times before mum got out of the car walked in and BAM Thanks for the find.
#12,886. Nice old cache in Arapuni. We walked down from the suspension bridge. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.Thanks for the placement, and for bringing us to this site, and .T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e..M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.
Up from Dunedin on a roadie from Auckland to Christchurch to get a good number of North Island PWGT caches and some others.
Came for the PWGT cache nearby but needed to stop for this cache for my Jasmer. Quickly found here. Tftc

After finishing the PWGT saw this nearby and the rain was holding off. Quick find in spot of remembrance.
We were in the area collecting PWGT caches and hadn't intended to look for any others but our GPS incorrectly decided to bring us down here and tried to take us up the private road.
We soon realised this was not the right place but when we noticed a cache was here we took it as a sign that it was meant to be and we decided to look for it, our only non PWGT cache of the day.
We had one small problem that there was no coverage down here so we had no information apart from the co-ordinates but using our geosenses we soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks for a great cache in an interesting location. Nice to find one that has been around for such a long time too.

Had another look around this great spot to visit and this time took a walk down to this cache. At first I overshot GZ and the GPS seemed to be pointing to a place that had lots of potential but after 10 minutes decided I needed to retrace my steps and this time found the cache soon afterwards. All good here, thanks for keep this one alive. TFTC
Quick find after looking around for a moment. Aimed for this one as it ticks off another Jasmer month. Cheers!
TFTC The Elves, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 3 today, making this find #2192

A nice walk over the big bridge to GZ nice and shady from the very hot sun ...the cache was soon located and log signed ...what a great area this is with lots of history... thanks The elves for this placement cache all good dropped a TB
Very cool walk to this cache. We walked across the swing bridge and returned over the road bridge and bike trail. I was very intrigued to see the memorials. Private Heke showed the way in to a nice cool dell. Thanks for the cache TheElves.
Admired the amazing view up and down the river from there nearby bridge and plucked up courage to walk over the swing bridge. Before we headed home quickly found this cache with the help of hint and geosenses. Looked like we missed meeting fellow caches searching for this cache today TFTC
Staying nearby on Lake Karapiro. Last night we ventured out on the kayaks to see the glow worms. Today we are out exploring the area planning on visiting Sanctuary Mountain. As plans go it is pretty loose as we never actually made it to the mountain. This was one of the stops we did make. Initially we took the hint to literally and ventured in too far. After reading the cache description again and noting the terrain rating we adjusted out sights and soon had the cache in hand. All good. TFTC
Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, aka WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
Took a minute to get our heads around the hint but when we arrived it became apparent. Thanks for the cache.
Today I'm returning with the caravan back home to New Plymouth after three months working in Katikati.
This cache was the only one I'm after today, both to keep my daily consecutive finds streak going (this is day 91), and to fill another month on my Jasmer grid.
Easy find just following the hint.
I came prepared with a replacement container as per photo. Plus I dried the log and have double-bagged it. Unfortunately I didn't have a pencil on me to leave so future finders will still have to supply their own writing stick.
TFTC. Have a FP for keeping this old school cache going.

Found it, gps apot not accurate, hint is correct. If someone can bring a new plastic container would be great as its not water tight.
No luck last time I was here. Good to have Jacktroy to think about this differently. Easy find by Jacktroy. Tftc
Tough cache to find. Looked for a long time and couldnt find it. May need to update difficulty or I need to go to specsavers
Today was an early start. Davidson Clan and I had a big plan to clear between Piarere and Arapuni which would involve the mountain bikes, kayaks, and a little leg work too. This one was all my fault as I'd read the hint way to literally. Consequently this cache took a long time to find. DC eventually unearthed this one and I've put him in charge of all future finds haha. Cheers elfclan, TFTC
