I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.

29-Nov-23
Hi ZakayThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler

I looked fairly carefully, but no cache.

11-Oct-23
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.

22-Mar-23
I gathered all the info along with a class from a local school doing a scavenger hunt looking at the same plaques as I was.

Once I got to the GZ I couldn't find the cache. The previous cacher DNFed it as well over a year ago.

The CO needs to check it out.

22-Mar-23
The CO needs to check that the cache is still there.

10-Nov-21
We wandered around these interesting plaques gathering the required information, but although the coordinates took us to the location at which Kiwimykl described leaving the logbook, we were unable to find it.

04-Apr-21
Found with NZDi. It is Easter and NZDi decided she wanted to go to the Mapua Easter Fair seeing she missed out last year due to Covid-19 Level 4 Lockdown. Also we purchased a caravan late last year and as Easter is traditionally the last outing of the season before caravans are closed up for winter, we didn't want to waste this opportunity even though we have another trip planned next month.

So the plan is to set up at Motueka Top 10 Holiday Park for three days going to the Fair on Sunday, then on Monday look at the weather and decide whether to spend another three days in Golden Bay or head down the Wet Coast. In the meantime there is some caching to do.

Today is Day 3 of our expedition over the hill. On Friday we managed to get what the purists would say was 17 caches, but two of them were Lab Caches so GCHQ says the tally is 25, and who are we to argue with that. Yesterday the purists tally was 20, but one of those was a Lab Cache so GCHQ says 24. This morning we went to the Mapua Easter Fair and I must say the organisers should be pretty happy, as I reckon there were more people there than at any of the previous fairs we've been to. On the way back from the fair when had a mainly successful time caching the Kina Peninsula. Now we are grabbing a few a bit closer to town.

We got the information for this early on Saturday morning but there were muggles near the corrected coordinates so we decided to come back later. we came back on Saturday afternoon but there were even more muggles, and we came back earlier today and it was the same. It is getting late in the evening now and the muggles are gone, so we looked for the cache. We found a log book on the ground at GZ and signed it but could not find a container to put it in, so we placed it on top of the corner post with a rock on top. Looking back through the logs, I now suspect it was the original log that went missing. It is sitting there for the CO to recycle.

P.S. I picked up one of your pathtags at the Breaburn Bridge yesterday... cool.

Think cache might be covered by building site

09-Jan-21
Coordinates changed from:
S 41° 6.700 E 173° 0.769

Coordinates changed to:
S 41° 6.654 E 173° 0.760

Distance from original: 283.1 feet or 86.3 meters.

Whoops, I changed the clues so that the cache is solvable, but forgot that the original co-ordinates lead to the middle of the building site.

28-Dec-20
Only one plaque was covered by the building site, so I found another that fits. The cache is still in place and in good order.

18-Oct-20
Thanks for the note Garden.a, it should be easy to fix, but I'll disable it until then

17-Oct-20
A new library for Motueka is now being built, so some plaques has been taken away. It is now unable to solve it. The final cache is still at the place and in a great condition.

23-Aug-20
After yummy fish chowder for lunch at Elevate. An impressive spread of history. Tftc

23-Aug-20
A nice quick find thanks, after wandering around the history path.

Found on a showery day around Motueka. We stayed mostly dry, but the coats certainly got a bit wet!

Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

20-Jun-20
Completed on a cool winter Saturday afternoon. A well constructed and interesting multi. GZ was reasonably busy this afternoon with families making the most of the fine weather and playground. Cache is all in good order. Completed formalities and replaced as found. Thanks Zakaye for the Smilie.

16-Jun-20
This was a great cache to do for some quick exercise after working from home. Got to where information was located and set about a wander but careful read of the plaques to get all info. Halfway around I realised there were plaques on both sides so did a second circle but with all answers sorted, took the short stroll to the GZ, cache was a little exposed but once logged now placed back with it's locate camo. Thanks Zakayé for a lovely wander down the history of Motueka and a great location with proximity near the isite.

Easy but great multi, we enjoyed it a lot. Beautifully made marble panels with history of Motueka. Heaps of interesting information, amazing. Spent more than hour by reading all the panels in this wonderful sunny morning. The final stage was clear, the cache is in a great condition, we also liked the logbook. Don't forget to visit nearby Japanese garden, so relaxing. Love this part of the town, definitely our favourite. Thank you for this cache about history of the Best NZ town of 2010. Greetings from the Czech Republic!

While spacenarwhale was on the swings Mr 3Prettys and I decided we'd take a few minutes and solve this one. We quite enjoyed the history walk; what a great idea! We had no trouble finding the required information and soon had the co-ordinates. We spent quite a bit of time searching in an area that turned out not to be GZ. Then, just as we were giving up, I thought 'I'll just look in this one last place'. Voila! There it was, waiting to be signed.
Thank you for the tour and the cache.

06-Dec-19
I solved this by the headlamp light. I was surprised when I really found it. Nice job! Back to the car for my stamp and a pen. Thank you very much!

Info quickly found and the cache was soon in hand. Thanks for this interesting Multi, Zakayé.

11-Jul-19
Tobin found this one on a day out with family and friends. Nice one tobin

18-May-19
With lunch taken care of we headed back towards the car but I noted a Multi not far from parking. Headed to start coordinates and got reading. Plenty of good info and enjoyed whilst gathering the details. Soon had some likely coordinates and glad it's not in there where those loud, rowdy people are. Found it sat in the open so added name and replaced a couple of metres away in the corner, with some plant camo atop. T F T M and C Zakaye, FP for the cache.
There was not a trackable present today.

A Saturday at our disposal and Autumn marching rapidly towards the cold of Winter meant I weighed up my weekend intentions, especially as I was to be working all day (and night) on Sunday. Although I've already traversed the Motueka river highway twice in the last 3 weeks, I decided that a repeat of my recent caching run would be in order, with mrs capperz along for a ride too. The leaf coulour, air clarity and general scenery was awesome, yet again, and we had a great day out of over 400kms travelled (local??). Double figure cache finds and a few TBs swapped out to bring back over the hill. We headed out to Motueka viaTapawera and back via Whangamoas.

19-Apr-19
Nearby here and noticed a multi here. Area reasonably busy with muggles but didnt take too long to find the info. then off to GZ for a quickish find. TFTC

GPS was trying to send us over the fence. With lots of looking around and checking the activity log we were able to find it! Tftc

21-Feb-19
Did the circuit, picked up the required answers then sat in the shade to solve. Once solved, headed to GZ and picked up the cache. TB dropped. tftc

11-Nov-18
Had solved this one earlier and planned to complete tomorrow, but I found myself back in the area so decided to try my coordinates...thankfully they were spot on and cache was soon located.

Inside had about 1/2cm of water filling it up...but log was still dry and I drained it out while I logged the find

24-May-18
Well this rounded off my evening of Mot Multi Mayhem!

One multi added up but didn’t work out, another I couldn’t get all the numbers for, and this one where I was able to get some numbers which seemed sensible and led me to a plausible location but yielded nothing.

At least I was able to bag three trads!

09-Apr-18
It wen't missing randomly, so new container and new logbook

18-Mar-18
Decided to do this cache after wandering the Sunday market. Enjoyed finding more out about the town. TFTC

Taybeedragon and I are in the Nelson region collecting multis - I need one each day for a multi-cache streak challenge I am aiming for. Today is day 10, and this find completes the challenge requirements Big Grin Yay Big GrinBig Grin.
Last time I was here in this park i was staying at the back-packers opposite. I walked around this path and comment in the log of another cache that it needed a multi here. Nice to see that someone has followed up on that.
Alas, someone else left the cache NOT in the condition they found it and it was sitting on its side, which allowed water to get in. The log was manky, but the dragon soon fixed that. Temp log and new bag added.

13-Aug-17
The Seagnoid needs a couple of multis this weekend. Its early Saturday morning and we are off for another adventure to Tasman, with The Seagnoid and Zara. Its another early start in the dark on Sunday morning collecting info.
Now daylight and this park is great fun reading all the info plaques on the way gathering all the info to get us to GZ. Container waterlogged. Left a temp waterproof log. Cheer

23-May-17
Interesting history.Really enjoyed the plaques. Final easy find.

30-Mar-17
Yesterday evening after the rain i walked around in this nice area and collected the necessary information. But near the final a muggle sat and didn't leave. So i had to visit again this morning and left a new sheet since the old one was damp. Thanks for this interesting and informing Multicache!

12-Mar-17
A fun multi on our last day in Motueka this weekend. I like this concept of the history of the town being laid out like this, and a good idea to make a cache of it. Container was full of water but could just sign the log. TFTC

30-Nov-16
What an effective way to present some interesting history - nice and easy to read and to find what I needed, There was a man doing some exercises in the middle of the grass so I had to wait for him to leave before finding the cache. tftc

01-Nov-16
Nice little multi. Bad timing after solving it, because the green was cut. Coming back half an hour later, the green was cut and I could find without problems.

So far seen on this trip: Thailand and New Zealand.

TFTC from a geocacher on his journey through the world.

Danke!

23-Jun-16
With the help of mrs abxt350 we gained the info, and went back for it at night (in the rain) cheers

05-Jun-16
reading thoroughly through all these parks would have been tedious but lucky the plaques are easy to skim read & skip. found the co-ordinates, zeroed in & found myself skeptical if there was even a place to hide anything but there round the corner it was. Find # 103

26-May-16
Not much muggle action on a chilly Friday morning, so was able to collect info then search for cache in my own time.
Very much enjoyed my history lesson today thank you!

05-May-16
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun but no luck today. Sigh. Thanks for placing the cache.

23-Apr-16
We most often don't get involved in multis because we so often come second (and last!) but if we were ever to do one and be happy and confident then this one takes gold. Only suggestion is that it is the last number in the year...not a "letter". But it was well done, thanks Zakaye...fp from us

28-Mar-16
Called here this morning after staying the night in Motueka. A most informative and interesting cache. Answered the questions quickly, learned a whole lot more along the way, and found the cache quickly. Signed log, thanks for the cache and for bringing us here. Gets a favourite point!

Today we did the big loop through Tapawera up to Motueka and then back to Nelson. A fun, informative multi before we left Motueka. Most of the plaques needed a quick wipe to read properly but that was no problem at all. The coords were easily calculated for a quick find. Thanks for the cache Smile

05-Sep-15
We have learnt a lot about motueka today. Had to wait for some mugged to leave before we could get the cache, but there was plenty to read while waiting. TFTC Smile

31-Aug-15
Well that was an unimpressive start to the day, awoke early to drive north for my flight only to find it had been cancelled. THe next 40 minutes spent trying to get alterenative flights and finally succedeing although arriving 3.5 hours late for my first appointmnet.
Arrived in Nelson for work for three days and as this was sort of on my way to a customer in the mid afternoon I thought it only appropriete to stop and collect this as I had completed the 172 challenge last week so now it was time for me to start on the 173 Challenge
Nice set of gardens to investigate before heading to dinner with friends.

So again thank you for the FUN of the hunt Cool

Me, pinkpantherDD, Mallorcatommy and our dirty little GPS helper found this GC on a NZ South Island trip in January / February 2015. Thank you, that we could discover this beautiful place!

Mallorcatommy, con/limon and I were on our journey through the southern island of New Zealand. With the help of geocaches we came to so many beautiful places, saw breath-taking landscapes and had, all in all a very wonderful journey! Thank you to all owners for placing all those nice geocaches!

01-Feb-15
Every day we are traveling around is same but also different. Today we had again the pleasure to visit some very beautiful spots and were also able to find nearly placed geocaches. I thank every single owner for placing it and giving us with doing this an other good reason to come here.

StreetWalker did the hard yards on this multi and worked out the final co-ordinates while I was doing some shopping nearby. I stopped and read the plaques as I walked to GZ as I didn't want to miss out on the history lesson Cool. Very interesting and a great way to present the information.
Well worth a cache placement to draw attention to Motueka's past. TFTC.

24-Jan-15
Thanks to StreetWalkerNZ on this multi, and TFTC!

24-Jan-15
#9039. I opted out of the second hand shopping expedition, and went to look for a couple of caches. The plaques are very interesting, and it was nice to see them still in such good condition. Didn't take too long to get some coords. It took me a wee while to locate the cache; I initially concentrated my search around a gate in a fence, but after having no luck there widened the search area and soon located the cache. TFTC.

14-Jan-15
Thanks for creating this multi. It took us a while to solve but bijouxtoo jnr and I found the answer and the cache. Lovely afternoon activity.

Nice walk around the park. Got all the numbers but failed to turn up the cache.

This was one of the most epic weeks ever, and definitely my most epic caching week ever.

Me and mum headed up on a holiday north to Nelson and very wider surrounds. In total during the trip, we found almost 500 caches! (470 odd I think, but final results are yet to be in! ) We covered about 3000 odd km I think too. Crazy! And had our absolute best caching day ever too at 160 found. Spend 9 days travelling, caching, and having the best time ever!!

So sorry about not so epic logs, as otherwise this would probably take me the rest of my life to log, especially with two big events to organise coming up! Eeek!!

Almost every single log we signed as 'Team Polak' to avoid needing to write out both usernames taking up space on logsheet - as well as precious caching time!! Haha.

Interesting, and awesome!

Consec caching day # 704

TFTC!! Smile

For the sake of sanity Wink we set off with sonia26642 for a crazy geocaching trip, aiming to cache until we drop. The main destination was Nelson and the ‘surrounding’ area, but then we ended up covering a few miles in three northernmost regions, plus a few in Canterbury. We were signing/stamping the log as 'Team Polak' or ‘TP’ for the two of us on this trip to save logbook space. We found a lot of different caches, city ones, road side, park side, up a hill and on an island, and we enjoyed every single one of them. It was good to be a professional thingfinder for a few days!

We had great fun and are grateful to all CO’s who placed caches for us to find, and help restore our sanity before returning to our other non-geocaching lives!!

Come and join us the next New Zealand geocaching MEGA event!! Register your interest now at www.nzmega2015.com to receive newsletter updates and be the first to know. It will be a great event, come and be a part of it!!

Nice little bit of history

Change of container size, this is now a small.

I know this reserve well so knew the best time to look for this cache would be at night. We had got some of the numbers before leaving home but rechecked them anyway before calculating the final GZ. Luckily for us a grandson has mid term break so was co-opted to help with another cache and proved his worth and excellent night vision by finding this one and handing it to me to sign. Thank you zakaye.

04-Sep-14
A nice well constructed multi most suitable to add to our small list for a night raid in Mot. After gathering the required information the coords were assembled. By that time some muggles that had been seated further along and would potentially have thwarted our final search had moved on. A thorough search didn't yield anything first but then grandson spoke the magic words. Thank you Zakaye for placing this cache. A fav from me.

03-Sep-14
Nice one! I had a quick look at the area on Sunday before the event at Toad Hall but the place was swarming with people going to and from the market. Came back today and it was much more peaceful. Had a leisurely wander around the plaques picking up useful information and then was able to head straight to the cache and sign the log. TFTC, Biggles.

31-Aug-14
It was a very quiet area here after the buzz of the Event. Mrs Sobad wandered around the plaques - and then back to find the one missing number. Then the GPS pointed to a likely spot and, as with a previous logger, the size of the cache meant it was even more likely.
A nicely set up multi as the answers required were unambiguous.
Thanks for drawing attention to the plaques - and for the cache. A favourite.

26-Aug-14
love the multi this is our type of puzzle
interesting information, very informative
quick search around and found the cache within minutes
thank you for the cache and the enjoyable multi puzzle
