Found cache pretty easily. I had some muggles around so had to use maximum stealth mode.I managed to sign the log, but the log was wet, and the cache needs some TLC.I will let the CO know.TFTC darksidedan
Found It!A quick find. Unfortunately someone has used this tree as their toilet.TFTC
Its been great finally picking up these ones on the way instead of driving past. Much nicer day today after the freezing raining weather of yesterday. Lovely sunny day. Picking up a few on the way back from the event near Macquarie Pass. Thanks for getting me out and about DARKSIDEDAN
I haven't had a film container in a long time. I guess they are dying out as not many still have a camera with an actual film in it. TFTC
Over from the West to enjoy my first Mega.Out to fill my grid and find some high favourited caches. Lots of laughs catching up with old friends and making some new friends along the way. Signing as a team - WA6Some logs are delayed and out of order - Apologies for that- its been hectic trying to keep up! Many thanks DARKSIDEDAN for placing this hide for me to find and adding to my adventures.
Nice quick find! I'll come back for the wherigo with some better equipment, hopefully sooner than in another 5 years! TFTC!!
In Canberra for GeoBash 2024. Had an awesome time and joined up with Happy Feet 1 for some epic caching fun. We tackled tricky puzzles, found loads of caches, and had a great time meeting old and new caching buddies. This is one of the caches we found whilst in Canberra.Cheers for the cache.
Find No: 9363. Down from Newcastle NSW, in Canberra for the Geobash MEGA, thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN!!
Geobash Easter Mega - Day #3 (Easter Saturday 30/3)Day three saw me head up the Federal Hwy towards Goulburn for a family reunion. I was asked to be there for at least a little while. So I left early and soon enough I found myself finding some solved WIGs and Letterboxs as well as others to and from Canberra. It was a great trip. Though I was pushing it time wise to get back in time for the big event [GCAKTHC]. I ended up getting back around 2:15pm-ish and that means I was just in time for the big event. That was certainly my first ever Geocaching Wedding attended. Congratulations Fitzy & Minniek. Afterwards A group of us went and found some nearby caches. Most of them were DSD multi-caches. Then it was time to head off and get some dinner and then back to the motel for some sleep. TB visit. If the cache wasnt signed as JohnoMawbs, it was signed as JM or as the tour group name. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTEs & TFTCs Given I was running a little ahead of time to get back in time for the big event, I decided on finding the AL, Trad and WIG at William Newton VC Memorial Rest Area. This was the second of of the three finds. A nice quick find here and now off to the WIG.
#7345- Found on the way to the mega in Canberra with thomo31. A quick find - very obvious to a cacher. Thanks
Found with WaywardWoman on the way to the MEGA. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Yay. Mega week has finally arrived. Didnt get much caching done at the hometown Adelaides Leap Year Mega. The minute it was announced I booked my single room. Then, muggle husband decided he wanted to come. Mmm. We all know that means .. less caching, so targets had to be sought. But at least theres a vehicle. Found with sea eagle on our way back from Lake GeorgeThis cache is a target. Mostly challenges and virtuals (to meet another challenge of course)Gotta love a smiley face on the map. Thankyou for placing and maintaining it.

So good to be back in my old stomping ground (sure makes it that bit easier getting around without getting to lost!) Out in a group today meeting new people while also putting faces to caching names! Trying to get a mix of different types of caches while here. Log signed as CM. Tftc!
Day 2 of my magnificent mega caching experience in Canberra and surrounds.Today I C Nothing, meme28, geotrakka, Burns345, neva2old & I (signing as WA6) focussed more on the central Canberra area with a couple of tours booked at Parliament House & the Australian War Memorial, was fantastic to see these places and meet caches from all over the place too.The evening was spent on another mega tour at Mt Stranger.Once again a great variety of cache types and containers were located and with a large group the competition to get hands on the log first was high, with plenty of laughs along the way too. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for placing William Newton VC Memorial Rest Area for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 10:04 on 28/3/2024.This is find number 8374 for me.

Found "unearthed" from the rocks, but rehid. Probably animals being curious...like geocachers!
Driving past I stopped at this restaurant area to check if there were any caches here. Yes there was so I undertook the search and made the find. It was a bonus to learn about the exploits of this brave V C airman.
After a good search and so many dnfs, we left a new temporary cache container at BOT until owner can check.
We are travelling down from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Canberra for a 6 day (5 night) holiday, staying in a park cabin at Alivio Tourist Park in O'Connor, and planning to explore the areas around Lake Burley Griffin, old & new Parliament House’s, the Australian War Memorial, Questacon, the Carillion, Black Mountain, Mount Ainslie, and areas around Canberra Airport and maybe out around the Kowen Forest if time permits. Have solved most of the CBR Wherigo Puzzle series and numerous other Mystery/Puzzle caches, so will hopefully get to some of those, and will do some of the Adventure Labs, Virtuals, and EarthCaches in the areas we visit. Photos will be uploaded to logs after our return to home base.
No luck for us at this one. Found nothing but a cacheless pile of stones at the base of a pine tree, which we had as GZ.

TikvaNZ, Search4 and I decided to do the CBR - YASS - GOULBURN - CBR loop today to attend four events and grab a few caches along the way. A fun day with some accidental mud, lots of chatting, around eight finds and two DNFs.
Despite looking high and low, this was unfortunately a DNF this time around - seems like we found the spot where it should have been, but no cache to be found.
Anyway, thanks for the cache listing and I will have another look next time I am in the area.

It is so beautiful here, it reminds me of a fairy forest with all of the different kinds of mushrooms
After an afternoon at a winery we decided to grab a cache or two on the way back to Canberra. The inside of the cache is very wet but the log itself is doing well
Nice and easy does it on my way to visit a friend in Canberra I haven’t seen in a long time!

On a work trip from Sydney to spend a couple days in Canberra and of course, I had to find some caches along my travels.
Yeah, nah.. not here

Being I no longer own this series, transferred across to DSD, its time I log a find. I really enjoyed researching the VC's all associated with this series of caches. Thanks for keeping the series alive DSD.
Roadtrip - home. Well "half" way. I decided to add a few counties to my count on the way home. I am not going to try and do them all - I would take days to get home. Just going to the ones that are close to my planned route.
Love the concept of the rest areas on the highways to Sydney. This was on the wrong side, but convenient uturn spots were nice and close.

Thanks for the cache, left a twoozy, a wonderful start to my geocaching adventure as we head out on our outback Western NSW road trip from Ulladulla
Here for a break in the drive,
a sad story of courage and selflessness.
Nice easy little find thanks Rapidlywild

We stopped for a break from the traffic and the phone said we were just 30m from a cache. After much searching at various altitudes, Mummypenny unearthed the little box. Thanks Rapidlywild.
Last stop on the way back from a day out. The sad roadkill was a distraction for a momemt. Tftc
lyn999 was first to lay eyes on this one, takes more than skippy decomposing to put us off. Nice break in our drive to Canberra. Thanks again to Rapidlywild. TNLN SL tFtC
Leg stretch before Arr in CBR. Didn't want to linger too long near some sad roadkill.
On the way back from getting an FTF nearby. I stopped in for a quick park and grab. It took a little bit longer to find as it was well hidden. This cache gave me my first Sapphire in the Mystery at the Museum event. TFTC
Another one done. Woo Hoo! I enjoyed finding this one at 3:07:38 PM.
I love the challenge of the geocache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. This is an amazing world-wide game of hide and seek. I love it! I also enjoy caching with my 2 boys, and meeting fellow cachers. It really is a small world when I read over cache logs and see names of my friends who have found caches around the country. Thanks go to Rapidlywild for making the effort to place this cache and maintain it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and it is very much appreciated.
TFTC! Cheers. Jump Pilot

Stopped by on the way home from the CITO, and with the light fading my extended search couldn't spot it.
Crossed paths with the CO on the way back to the car as she arrived to replace the missing container (sometimes it's really not there), so first name in the new log book!

Original cache had indeed walked, new cache in place. Please replace with natural camo to prevent it walking
Out for a beautiful sunny Saturday learner drive on Election Day. Three of us searched both high and low and the only thing we found was a massive for sale sign. Thanks anyway
