This was a tricky cache to find, the gps led me to the corner of the barrier, however after a fruitless search I deciphered the hint, and soon had the cache in hand. Tftc
A weekend of fun with a group of Canberra cachers. The weather was beautiful, cold and clear with little wind and it was a perfect day to be out walking and exploring and enjoying a winter weekend in Bathurst. We signed the logs as CBI24 ( Canberra-Bathurst Invasion 2024)Thanks for all the adventures and efforts to create some fun hides for the Geocaching community. Domsky
The target today for Canberra Bathurst Invasion was Mount Panorama and all associated caches. Some of us had already found caches in 2020, but more had appeared, and we hadn't even attempted all that were there back then. After meeting at the Racing Sports Museum and finalising plans, we crowded into just a few cars and headed off to find and sign all caches as CBI24. Thanks to all COs for placing these caches that add real purpose to a lap around the circuit.
We were in Bathurst over the weekend grabbing as many caches that we could . We logged under the name CBI24. As there was sixteen of us from Canberra. Kutgw
Chooo ooo [Found] on a caching invasion of Bathurst! Log signed CBI24!Thanks Joshwa27!
Tankengine, Youban and I left Canberra just after lunchtime on Friday and drove straight to Bathurst. We had solved many of the puzzles or at least started the solves before coming. We were looking forward to finding many smilies this weekend and hanging out with our friends. We met up with our friends and signed caches as CBI24 (Canberra Bathurst Invasion 2024). The group included Fitzy_1965, Minniek, Kittykatch, Joolay, FurfacesLL, GLISS!, Tankengine, Youban, Contesta, Domsky, TikvaNZ, Isopeada, Barb2e, and SmittenGranny. We had an awesome dinner at the Kelso Hotel Bistro Friday night. And attended the ever changing event on Saturday night at The Reckless Brewery Co. Breakfast was at a couple of cafes that were all good and lunches wherever we could find it. Our little cabin at the NRMA Paramount caravan park, where there was just enough space for all three of us (just). We slept ok, but the leaky taps needed attention. We had an awesome time and would love another chance to visit Bathurst again another day. This cache: Found after a bit. Found what we thought was it, but wasnt. Then Fitzy found the container. Placed them together. Tftc!!!
#22365 @1005Visiting Bathurst for the weekend from Canberra. A convoy of Canberra caches 'raced' around the track collecting all the caches. Cache eventually found by fitzy_1965. Signed as CBI24. TFTC.
Find # 124617/7/2024 10:11Caching adventures continue, plans were hatched at the dinner event last night, word got around, and with some trustee like-minded souls we assembled at the chequered flag start line for a lap of Mt Panorama - KittyKatch, Joolay, fitzy_65, mimmiek, TikvaNZ, isopeda, dty73, FurfacesLL, domsky, Youvan, Barb2e, Tankengine. Signing CBI24 for Canberra Bathurst Invasion Always shenanigans in a group as you never quite know what might happen but its guaranteed to be fun!All caches located, retrieved, signed, and replaced. Thanks Joshwa27 for Conrod Gold
Bathurst Invasion by a group of Canberran cachers. We are signing as CBI24 (Canberra Bathurst Invasion 24). There are barb2e, Kittykatch, Joolay, FurfacesLL, DTY73, Tankengine, Youban, SmittenGranny, Contesta, Gliss! Domsky, Fitzy_1965, Minniek, and me. We all have been solving the puzzles ove the last few weeks in preparation. Plan for today is to start with Mt Panorama. Afterwards barb2e and I went around town visiting or revisiting caches that peaked our interest. TFTC *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Out on a fabulous ANZAC weekend caching adventure with Ash_Kate and Rama497. Our base for the weekend was Bathurst where we hoped we could find lots of fun caches in and around and enjoy some relaxing time away from Sydney.Unfortunately, this was a DNF although we did find a top of a solar light that some previous logs indicated it may have been the cache. A CO check is requested please. I'll be back some day to avenge this DNF.
A loose plan was hatched for a 3-week road trip with RoamingHowie to explore locations in Country NSW wed not been to before and of course, find a cache here and there.DAY FIVE: Exploring Bathurst. Found the new fresh cache and logbook. Felt like being a ftf. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Joshwa27 ~~
It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 5: After some rain last night (in the middle of summer!), the sun is shining today and it was time to cut some laps of Mt Panorama. I dont think the geomobile will be breaking any lap records, but we might find a few more geocaches than Lowndes or Brock.A nice quick find here. Thanks for the replacement log, although surprised to see we were the first names to go in it.Thanks Joshwa27 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. The [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) is on 18 February 2024.Looking for caches to find when visiting Victoria? Why not check out the geocaching lists available on the [Geocaching Victoria Website](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/). There are plenty to choose from including all of the previous nominees and winners of the Victorian Cache of the Year Awards.
No luck here for me as the GPS had me showing right in the centre of the driveway. I tried to expand my search, but it is such a perfect day here that the GZ was far too busy.

Going on a cache hunt around Bathurst for the day with ilook4geo. Did a combination of traditionals and lab caches, which meant we toured around town as well as Mt Panorama. This was a very quick find and the log was soon signed with both names. Thank you to to Joshwa27 for this cache placement.

Driving back to Wangaratta today after a few great days spent in the Blue Mountains. We passed through Bathurst on our way up last week but didn’t have time to stop. Today we made a bit of time before lunch to drive the race track and find a few caches.
This was our first for the day. Dean was quick to make the find while I talked on the phone.

We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Bathurst for a 9 day holiday, camping in our Jayco Swan Outback Camper Trailer at the Bathurst NRMA Big4 Caravan Park, and plan to collect some caches & Adventure Labs in the Bathurst and surrounding areas.
Today we headed up to Mount Panorama to drive around the classic racing car circuit, and to collect all of the caches that are placed around the race track, including an old Archived cache (GC2MCRZ Sign of the times) that we accidently found for a bonus smiley. Also completed the new Adventure Lab that had recently appeared on the mount. Some extra caches were collected on the way up to the mount, and also on the return journey back to camp. This was the 16th of 25 finds for the day (day 3), and 41st find of the holiday.
We felt a bit uncomfortable parking in the driveway of the resort, but there seemed to be no where else to park, with all of the grassed areas along Conrod Straight having "No Parking on Grass" signs erected. Took a little longer to find than expected, but we were eventually enlightened and had CIH. Seen a few of these in our caching travels, and they make great caching containers. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Joshwa27.

Winter 2020 trip to Bathurst. Day 2. I joined forces with Fitzy_1965 and MinnieK for another visit to Bathurst and the surrounding area to visit new caches and try to find caches we have all managed to not find on previous visits. It was an overwhelmingly successful trip where we all managed to find some nemesis caches that stretch back several years and many trips to the region. Despite the cold we camped each night and had a most enjoyable weekend now we are allowed out to roam a bit further.
There were four Mount Panorama caches I need to find to remove some not found caches from my list that have been there for many years.
Thanks for the cache Joshwa27

And here we are. It is 2022, and after moving my life half the world away to Australia, discovering that Geocaching there without my friends was not as fun, generally trying to survive Australian fauna and flora and finding a job, only doing Geocaching on occasion during 2019, and then the pandemic hitting in 2020 and putting almost a complete halt to all traveling and finding, plus finally coming back to Europe to try and redo my life here this year… I have decided to sit down and log online all of the records I had gathered offline during these years. Some are lost forever (don’t trust your phone for years on end with offline logs), but hopefully I will manage to recover enough logs to paint a few broad strokes of what these years were, and the places they took me to.
Apologies in advance to all owners for this (in some cases, very) delayed logging. I can only say that sometimes we are not in the best place, and it takes time to find oneself. Thanks in advance for the hides, the places you took me to, and the stories you shared in the way.
-----
We take a weekend off and head to Bathurst and Orange to visit the area for the first time. It takes longer than we thought to get there, but once past the Blue Mountains, the rest is quite easy. Really surprised by the nice walk up in the mountains, and the circuit.
TFTC!
