The last part was a bit of a bush bash at the coordinates and hint were excellent. Thanks for the cache and the series.

14-Aug-24
I thought for sure I had finished off this series, but it seem that I was just saving it for this very day. I certainly didnt recognize it when I arrived!I reckon, once upon a time there used to be a path to this one

29-Jun-24
Solved this a while ago and was glad to be out finding today. Bit of a bush bash but found as per the hint Thank you for the puzzle and cache!

28-Apr-24
10 - The Finish - enjoyed this so much - thank you - a favourite for me

18-Jan-24
Grabbed the clues from the nine earlier caches two days ago. One was missing at MH.2 so I reached out via PAF (thank you) and came back there today to add that clue to the replacement log. Can now complete the whole Mt Hutton series before my week break ends. TFTC with a photo elsewhere showing recent rainfall

02-Oct-23
I got out to the path and did some calculations in the shade before heading in to GZ.With some cooler weather today I set out to find the Mt Hutton series. Armed with sunscreen and my hydration pack, I meandered around the series grabbing clues and had them all knocked over by midday. That said I did have a bit of a sleep in this morning. Thanks for the series and of course TFTC

10-Jul-23
OK after disturbing the cache guardian..this was a brilliant find. Thankyou for the series..really enjoyed it...now to get back to civilisation. Fav point awarded.

24-Jun-23
We did this series in order whilst picking up some solved puzzles as well. 7km and 15 finds taking us seniors nearly 4 hours. A very enjoyable outing for us. The coords were very good and we appreciated the nice hints. Thanks for this nice series, Phreddy.
What a well planned series. Appreciated the logical placement of this bonus which helped form a nice circuit. FP

16-May-23
FINALY FINISHED! Path was a bit overgrown as no one has been here since early last year but once we got through it was a beautiful lil area with an awesome lil hiding spot, we signed the log, added a sticker and something for swaps TFTF

08-Jan-23
A nice finish to the series. Cache and log in good condition. TFTC

Finally the journey is over! Tftc! Loved the trek , didn't love my phone gps

02-Nov-22
TFTC. A nice quick find after I took the correct way in. Out caching with my grandson Coopdawg today who logged the wrong cache last time we were here. He has now signed the cache. Hopefully I will able to get the last one on the series today.

03-Oct-22
The cache was being guarded by a friendly huntsman, who wasn't spotted till Colsden had picked up the container. It proved the saying that white men Can jump! Thanks Phreddy for bringing us to this area.

03-Oct-22
Lovely walk in the bush. Nice ending complete with huntsman.

20-Sep-22
TFTC. Found with my grandmother Techsavvy9. Was a nice day walking around.

Cache replaced due to moisture.

24-Apr-22
Got wet bushbashing to GZ, but quickly found once there. TFTC Phreddy

19-Nov-21
Found at 11:59 AM GAFF1.
I was a bit concerned that I didn't have the codes from the caches that we did of this series in March 2018, but a friend - Shaneo58 helped me out thank goodness! And then when I was within 25 metres of GZ after meandering around the tracks looking for the optimal route, I thought that the co-ords had been mucked up as the bush in there was quite thick and the T rating was a mere 1.5! However I decided to head in there in any case and thankfully found the cache with excellent co-ords in a very nice and logical spot.
Thanks Phreddy..
Feedback: This cache and most of the others if not all of the caches in this series needs to be rated at least a 2.0 for Terrain - some even 2.5 due to the steepness of the tracks to get to them.

29-Sep-21
We have come back today for more socially distant exercise. TFTC Phreddy

20-Sep-21
Well, what an adventure. I had a great walk through all sorts of bush environments, saw some critters (including another spider who would not budge off this container), risked my life to get to the finish (not happy about the snake potential of the final...anything for a smilie, hey), got all in the series bar one, and had myself some socially distanced exercise. Not a bad day in lockdown (the road where I parked is at the exact extreme of my 5km, luckily). FP and ta.

28-Jun-20
MY 1300th Find. YAY! So, off to Number 10. After #8, i still had two numbers to get, so i MAF who had found this recently, and they got back to me just after i did #9, where i found 1 of the 2 i needed. I was going to sit down and force it with the checker, but they saved me the trouble. A quick walk, more bush bashing to gz, ( I would not do that during the warmer months) and the big fella was found. TFTC. The log is damp, as the baggie is ripped, but still useable. Really enjoyed the series, even if it was a little confusing. Glad that did not continue the whole way. Another fave for the series.

A nice quick find at GZ for this one. Thanks for the cache Phreddy tnln replaced as found sl

Out grabbing caches for the souvenirs , thanks for bringing us here and for caches.

02-Jul-19
Found it. What a mission. I lost my solved coords for no 10 and had to do all the other 9 all over again. Any way the series is know finished. TFTC and the series.

14-May-19
After secret caching business nearby I backtracked to this one on the way to the car after getting the coordinates from the various hides in the series. Like most of the cache I got today a good geotrail led to this one. Plenty of rubbish in the bush here and there was an old container near the cache here. Log signed and another favourite organised - both for the series, but mainly for the Powerful Owl heard calling as I signed the log (shows how close to dusk I was getting here).

18-Feb-19
On Saturday we had travelled up from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Redhead, for a short weekend getaway, staying at the Redhead Beach Holiday Park in Redhead. On Sunday we attended the Geocaching NSW “Newcastle Expedition - Memorial Park” Event at Stockton, then zigzagged our way back down to Redhead finding 7 unique cache types (Event, Traditional, Multi, Mystery, Letterbox, Virtual, and EarthCache) on that same day, as well as gathering numerous other conveniently located caches along the route. Today we are returning to Sydney, but will attempt to complete the Mt Hutton cache series, and also collect a few roadside “park & grab” caches along the way. This was the 11th of 16 finds for the day (day #3), and the 47th of 52 finds for the weekend.

After completing the 8 Traditionals and 1 Mystery cache in the series, finally we came to the final cache in the series. Put together all of the clues collected from the previous caches, being pleasantly surprised to find that the code we were unable to find at #6 didn't seem to matter, and ended up with some final GZ coords to enter into the GPSr. And, after deviating to pick up one of the Atom puzzle caches, arrived at GZ to make a quick find. Stamped the logbook, TNLN, and then replaced as found.

Thanks Phreddy for putting together this nice bushland cache series, a good mixture of Traditional & Mystery caches, which was compact enough for us to complete in the short time we had available to devote to it. It gets a Favourite point from us.

Find #2985

11-Feb-19
We set up camp and were well positioned so we could head out and do this cache series. We teamed up with the Snakepiters and enjoyed the hike though in truth it was a bit hot, it also did not help our final position that we did not start by finding the caches in the correct consecutive order eg 1 through to 8. Thanks to Phreddy. for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

11-Feb-19
Out today in the Newcastle area with Liz & Bruce, looked for a couple of small trails to grab a few before it was too hot. We did this trail backwards which ment a longer than normal trek to the final. One of the caches was missing a coord so we did a best guess and was only 3 mtrs out, the clue was helpful.

06-Dec-18
This series wasn't ever an urgent one for me to finish, but today I finally decided to compete it. It's a nice area with some interesting terrains. I do think that this cache is a bit more than a 1.5 terrain though, but i enjoyed it nevertheless. TFTC!!! #1558. Dropped TB.

02-Sep-18
Good condition .. go the garmanns

02-Sep-18
Found by The Garmins 2 September 2018. Great Fathers Day find with the kids.

01-Sep-18
It appears that either Muggles or Rodents/Possums are destroying the container. Cache moved slightly to avoid continued problems

30-Aug-18
This cache is damaged, hole in side of the container and log is wet

29-Aug-18
Found after an early finish from work, tftc, fave point from me for the great location

29-Jul-18
Found with large hole in side of container. All contents soaking wet including the log.

Found the whole series today. Thanks for all the effort you put in to giving us a great day out.
Love your work.

29-Jul-18
This geocacher reported that the container is damaged.

29-Apr-18
We thought that the swaps in the cache were great - we hope that they're still there. TFTC!

29-Apr-18
Found as part of a lovely walk around Mt Hutton today with mindcraftmenders. We found all of the numbers (though we forgot to pick up the numbers in #8), and made our way to the final. We may have made it a little more difficult for ourselves by doing the series in reverse order - there were some places where there were trails running just 20 metres apart but we couldn't see them - it was just a bit harder to work out where we were going. Especially between #3 and #2, we found it was a bit like snakes and ladders Smile
Overall, we really enjoyed the series and we had a great day - finding all 10 in this series and one other nearby makes eleven finds out of eleven attempts.
This one we weren't entirely sure about - the tree under which the cache lies doesn't appear to be a stringybark gum tree like #9. However, the next part of the hint confirmed our search area and we found the cache soon after. Excited to be the first to sign the logbook even though we knew that we weren't the FTF on this cache.

31-Mar-18
An afternoon trek walking around Mt Hutton to do this series. An enjoyable afternoon spent with The Bebes, Stueygow & Gatherer Hade, with only a few trail bike riders to watch out for. TFTC

More of a Didn't Look than a DNF, as we forget to get numbers in the first few. Only when it was too late to back track did we realise, so looks like this #10 is for another time.

14-Mar-18
Cache container and log book replaced; appears to have been Muggled which surprises me as it's in the middle of nowhere .!!

04-Mar-18
TOTALLY DAMAGED. In need of maintenance. Some fools trashed so we just tucked under grass

04-Mar-18
Cache container completely missing. Contents scattered all over the ground. Log pretty much sopping wet and unsignable. Really enjoyed this series. FP for series. TFTC

23-Dec-17
I had a lovely walk around the area this afternoon and managed to find all the clues and the caches, except [8]!!!

I was surprised how far off the track and how this the bush was here!?!

A nice series.

TFTC.

24-Oct-17
Found it! Thanks for the great little adventure Phreddy. Really enjoyed exploring the labyrinth of tracks in this area. Great series. TFTC's

17-Jul-17
Coordinates calculated roughly as we had one more cache to find before the final, so the three of us went on a ramble today to find the last couple of caches! Found the cache with a slightly damp logbook but we managed to sign it. A favourite point awarded for the series!
SL, TNLN, T4TC

12-Nov-16
Found on a morning walk with my son. A bit wetter from the overnight rain. Took a few minutes to find as the camo was doing a good job of hiding it. TFTC. Only one more to find in the series now but I had trouble finding lit ast time I went looking.

Well we continued on to the final, overshot the mark, read the hints, looked around and bingo, we saw our target! Another maypole dance and fell over the cache. How well camouflaged is it! I'm surprised no-one spotted it on the trail in. SL TNLN TFTC Phreddy. FP given for the great effort put into the series. It was most enjoyable!

12-Aug-16
Fitting end to a good series. Pity about the rubbish.

11-Jun-16
Found our way to this one easy enough (after my daughter fell in a huge puddle trying to cross a bridge that someone had made out of logs) and spotted the correct tree from the path so pushed our way through the bush. Lots of garbage around GZ so I thought it might have been muggled but we spotted the good sized container straight away. It had a bit of water inside and was pretty smelly so we wiped it out, replaced the zip lock bag and took the yucky, rusty badges and magnets out as that's all that was in there. We left plenty of waterproof swaps behind for the next finders. Thanks for this fun series and 2 nice bush walks.

05-Apr-16
I had worked out these coordinates ages ago. Well before I found all the caches in the series. Today I thought I should finally finish the series. Not sure why it took so long as I do not live that far away and often come close to here. Anyway parked in a familiar spot and started walking in. Except when I got to a cross road and looked at my GPSr it was still loading up. So I tried to load it up on my phone, but not so much reception. And finally the handheld loaded up and it was the other way from which I thought. Got to about thirty meters from the cache before I had to start bush bashing. Why did someone bother to dump garbage all the way out here? I needed the hint as the camo was a little too good for my eyes. Ran back to the car, so arrived all sweaty at dinner.
Thanks for the great series!

01-Mar-16
I can finally log this cache after becoming a premium member. A little bit of bush bashing to get to this one.

01-Mar-16
Can't believe it took us so long to find Found with Kasey (greengengar) and Shaun (Mistborn Ganon)
A lovely walk enjoyed on a beautiful day

01-Jan-16
Getting up early this morning without a hang over I was able to tackle the last of this excellent series, so after finding #9 it was off to finally finish.
Enjoyed the bush walking and be able to locate the caches without too much difficulty it made it an enjoyable venture.
Thanks Phreddy for the effort put into the series, worth a fav point.

31-Dec-15
Hard cache wandered around the tree for a little while!!

31-Dec-15
Bush bashed in to the GZ, and to my surprise found Lee737 and his son at the location. Very slim chance for this to happen as the cache had not been found for some time. I did work out the end point a number of months ago, This has been a good series, with the Y-tree being the only one with mozies (done after sunset). TFTC

31-Dec-15
We returned for this one today after finishing our number harvest a couple of weeks back. We followed a nicely formed track we have walked before, then bit the bullet and bush-bashed to GZ. On arriving at a likely GZ, the GPSr promptly had a stroke, going from reporting 5m to GZ, to reporting we were 50-100m away, in all directions. Restarting the GPS got us on track, and a more thorough than expected search uncovered the good sized cache.
Before we had a chance to rehide the cache, we had a fellow geocacher emerge from the scrub, it was a pleasure to meet and chat to BillHill for a time - what are the chances, for a cache to remain unfound for nearly 5 months, to have two cachers find it simultaneously?? Slim!

Phreddy - thanks for a very enjoyable series. We loved the walk around this area, not having to search for micros! We will be back for #4 before long......

#4402

Decided that today we would get rid of a few caches that had been on the list to do for a while but just never gotten around to doing. We parked on the side of Bayview rd near the Dunkley Pde intersection thinking we would be able to do the loop around. All the caches were in good condition and were found without too much trouble.

21-Jul-15
Thanks Phreddy for this series, a great day out

12-Jul-15
Well it took me a couple of trips to get all the coords I needed. Didn't help that I lost the notebook with the numbers I got first time around. Oh well I really enjoyed this series. Thanks Phreddy, a fave point from me!

01-Feb-15
A nice day to do this circuit except for innumerable mosquitoes. And a worthy end though the hide was about 10 metres off according to my GPSr

14-Jan-15
Wasn't going to do this one today as I was running late for work, but the compass needle kept pointing to a spot, and the numbers kept getting smaller, and next thing you know the series is finished! You get an FP for the effort of making this series. Thanks so much. I am very surprised that more locals have not yet completed it. TNLN TFTC

6671 Found today with ALL7. We had a fun day and only had two dnfs. This was our first few. Was lovely to be in the bush. There were some very clever made caches and thanks for the caches

29-Oct-14
Great Day out for caching with Mr Roo..... Lovely walked to Track and easy found heaps caches.. Thank

03-Oct-14
Found No. 1, started to walk and thought; no, it looks like I can take the geobike so back to the car and set off on wheels. Started to regret it but soon it turned out to be the right decision. Great day for a trip through some nice bushland, I enjoyed the well-thought-out series and yes, I was duped at No. 7 and a goanna frightened the $#^! out of me at the final! TFTC Phreddy!!

28-Sep-14
Finally finished this series after one or two false starts. Enjoyed this area and its copious tracks. TFTC and the Series Phreddy! Took nothing but left a lovely feather found on our walk!

Grabbed the last one of the series, and brought my total to 100% for the day. Thanks a lot for this series, as it had a lot of very nice scenery and some very fun bike riding.

Thanks for the cache Phreddy.

17-Sep-14
So I now had all the information I needed from the rest of the series and I could go off to the final. Thankfully, it wasn't too far. At GZ, the large container was soon discovered. Left a key-ring, TNSL TFTC and thanks for the series. I enjoyed the walk.

11-Sep-14
The final cache was entered into the GPS and we were not all that far from it, Phreddy could have been mean here and sent us back over some of the dodgier trails. Just when I was considering backtracking to find a better track to GZ a track was found that took us right to it. A bit of a look around and we had the final cache logged. Thanks to Phreddy for a very good series, we really enjoyed the walk through the light bush and it was fun trying to find the right tracks through the maze of rough roads and small tracks. Wildflowers and small native orchids are already out, the next month should be even better. This cache is a favourite and recommended as you need all the other good caches to find it.

OOPS. Got this one confused with #9.
2TF. Worked out the coordinates last week but couldn't find it. Walked right around it a couple of times but did not see it, only the rubbish close by. Today I spotted it straight away. Doh. When I got home I found a couple of ticks trying to make a meal of me.
Used to run about in this area when I was a kid as the family lived in Bayview St. It was a rough gravel dirt road in those days. Thanks for the fun Phreddy.

Reperio at 1200. *FTF*

Well this one was one of those very rare caches to be found before it was published...which has only happened a hand full of times in 8 years of geocaching. Having completed the series earlier in the week...I plotted out the coords to this one to see if indeed it was there...and lo and behold it was! I quite enjoyed this series, as it made for a lovely bush stroll. The area around GZ was quite wet due to recent rain, but managed to keep the feet dry.

Gratias Phreddy.
