Unsure of adoption process, so will archive in the hope that someone else will look at putting a cache here.

06-Jun-22
As much as we love this place, we are currently in Longreach, making it a little harder than normal to maintain. We will look at putting this one out for adoption, I believe it has a reason to stay if it can.

Unfortunately i think this one was taken by the floods... i wonder where its new home has ended up! We will have to return to fix soon so others can enjoy the beauty of this spot

04-Jun-22
Unfortunately could not find it, there’s been a lot of rain/flooding along the creek so perhaps that has impacted it’s location

Find myself on the road avoiding Brizvegas with (another) lockdown looking probable... staying at Wondai with friends and today had to take ckat to get in Murgon for dental surgery. This cache got more back on the journey to 1K finds. Lovely birdlife here. TFTC

TFTC. Our journey to QOGM started this morning leaving Maryborough before lunch and having a short drive to Wondai. Parked up had some lunch and then took the car to travel to Murgon to tackle the Adventure Lab and some of the local caches. Lovely couple of hours exploring using caching as a guide.
Glad we made the detour . You find great spots when our caching.

It's been far too many months since The Bromance last went on a weekend geocaching road trip so plans were made a couple of weeks ago for a journey north towards Kingaroy and the surrounding area. Unfortunately Crookedpete was unable to make it due to family commitments so it was a Bromance Lite+ trip of JezNDez, Swellerfungus and Seffnjarah.

Today was Day 2 of the trip, and after an overnight stay in a dingy motel in Kingaroy and a few caches picked up around town , we continued our journey northwards. A delightfully hidden away park being enjoyed by a few local muggles splashing about in the nearby creek. GZ was far enough away from them and we searched unobserved. Cache found securely tucked away.
Signed the logbook with The Bromance team stamp (although there may be a slight glitch with the stamp date). TFTC

With the GPS bouncing around and avoiding the muggles the cache was found that n this pretty little unexpected park

Still in the Goomire area totays outing took me to murgon and beyond. found some caches while there. Found this after trying to a pic of a crane on the river bank. It flweoff before I could steady my phone camera.. A quick find for the cache though. TFTC.

Kayak here quite often. Over last 5 years. Never knew it was here. Until I took an interest in local caches.

15-Nov-20
What a great spot! A couple of peeps splashing in the water, picnickers, and a boy fishing

Scooted over to GZ and found the cache well-coated in mud. But it’s in VGC. Logged and replaced unseen.

Dropping a FAVE point here as deserves more visitors Smile

14-Jun-20
Interesting little park on our weekend circuit around the countryside. Nice and muggle free, we made our way to the river and spotted the egret guarding the crossing & a pelican further down the river. Found the cache making sure not to venture too close to the precarious edge. Container was very muddy but dry inside.

Me fickle caching mood had directed me to Wondai today Razz
But unfound caches are a rarity these days [:o]
The only one left for me to find for miles around,
was out at the crossing Smile

I have tried to find this cache before,
but this time around I was sure Razz
And just like the finder before me,
I too found this cache ... Yippee !! Big Grin

TFTC and excuse to pop by again [^]

So where's camp tonight ??
Wondai sounds alright Smile

While staying in the beautiful Barambah Bush Camping and Caravan Park we headed off early this morning to try for a few local caches.

We were very surprised to find this nice little park tucked away here and it looks like maybe the nearby school is no longer in use.
None of the plaques mention why the park is named after ‘Snow’??

We found the cache, signed the log and headed off for the next one

Many thanks for the hide Jimmyproject

Found in this lovely spot we would never have normally come to, thanks for placing this cache here

17-Mar-19
Got it. The great thing about caching is that you find these little gems that you never knew existed. This place was one of those gems. We had little lunch here.
The container looks as if it has not been accessed for a while but the inside was beautifully clean and dry. TFTC

14-Nov-18
Had to wait a while for the muggle fishermen to leave. Thankfully it is a beautiful place to sit and relax.

28-Jan-18
This week-end Caro (from Jess & Caro) & myself teamed up for a few days of geocaching up this way. [^]
Day 3: We started the day really early as we had to be back in Toowoomba for my event at Midday. Surprised
This cache was found around 7 am. Surprised Last time I was here there were people everywhere so I walked away. Twisted This time round there are a few campers way over there but no swimmers. Smile I soon spotted a funny looking brown rock. Razz
Now to find a few more on our way south. Cool
All finds were found quickly and generally in good condition unless stated. Smile
Thanks for the caches.

28-Jan-18
Having stayed at the free campsite in Murgon for a couple of nights and geocached our way around the region, Brother Colin and myself packed our tents up bright and early to make our way back south in time for his event in Toowoomba at midday.

We drove to the carpark and made our way over towards GZ. Not too many people here this early in the day so we were able to have a good look around. BC made the find....oooh nice camo!

Another neat spot i wouldn't have known about otherwise.

Thanks for this cache, Jimmyproject! Smile

13-Dec-17
Stopped for lunch and a nap. This is a very popular little spot with the locals it seems! We walked down to the river for a look but it was too busy to have a proper scratch around. Thanks again for the cache taking us to places many would just drive by. I’m back at it after a long break and a new account. Cheers!

13-Dec-17
So it turns out I can nap longer than the various swimmers, kayakers and fisherman can do their thing. Easy find! TFTC

We were very pleasantly surprised to find another cacher searching for this cache as we approached GZ so we all joined in and found the well camoed cache in such a lovely spot by the river. It was great to have a chat to a fellow cacher.

21-Mar-17
We will be leaving very soon to attend the Red Centre Experience Event being held in Alice Springs and have decided we would try to make that event a milestone ... the only problem is we are a few hundred caches short Surprised This was the perfect excuse for a quick road trip through Nanango/Murgon/Kingaroy Razz The weather was a little rainy, but surprisingly we remained relatively dry during the day with the worst of the rain occurring while we camped overnight [^]

We managed to locate this cache easily and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our journey.

Thank you Jimmyproject for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy Cool

For some time I've been meaning to get back to visit the Burnett region, and today was the day. An early start was made and a long 12.5 hr day was spent driving 650km through Blackbutt, Yarraman, Nanango, Kingaroy, Murgon, and up to Boat Mountain before returning.

Visited this lovely area on the way through. Thanks **Jimmyproject** for bringing us here, this find makes smilie #3374. Discover our trackable TGQNRV .

Had the wrong coordinates to this one and spent too long looking in the wrong spot. Had breakfast and then checked the cache details and realised our mistake. Off to GZ about 150 metres from where we previously searched and the cache was quickly found. Nicely out of sight from the muggles working at this place. Thanks.

Nice easy find just had to get my hands dirty a bit. Tftc

10-Mar-16
Well, popped into this locality today. Totally searched GZ for an hr. Have a feeling it's been muggled. After all... on the weekends through summer you have little humans running, hiding and playing all along GZ's area. I live close by to this area and have enjoyed a cool dip in the water here in summer over the years.

Had our morning tea here. What a beautiful spot. As CO says: we always passed it. Enough water in creek for a swim. Tftc

We are heading to Nanango's first event and even though it is not till Saturday we thought we would stop along the way and the get the caches that often get missed followed by the comment we will do that one, one day. Last night we stayed in Murgon and tonight we are at the showgrounds in Kingaroy. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. Nice hide, loved the location, it would be a good spot for a geocaching event. Thanks to Jimmyproject for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location. Fav point alloc.

Out and about with one half of The Drovers from the South Burnett to Gympie areas for a couple of days caching. We found a variety of caches and containers along the way and plenty of different hides to keep us on our toes along the way and this was one of them.

Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches along the way.

Mr Drover joined up with Konie and headed off, for a 2 day caching & camping trip.
Drove from Caboolture to cache the hills, travelling 600 kms in a loop & back to Caboolture.
We found a variety of cache hides and containers, some a little tricky to find.
Thanks to the CO's for all the effort of placing and maintaining these caches, we had an awesome 2 days.

Many thanks for placing this cache, Jimmyproject, for us and others to find.

On our last day in Wondai we decided to go out for a caching run to Murgon and had a very successful day with a haul of 11 caches and a great lunch at the Murgon RSL. This cache is in a lovely location. Thanks to the COs for the hides.

Having another annual caching trip to Nanango and Kingaroy with Richmond Lad. Last year we thought we had found most of them but some wonderful COs keep putting out more to entice us back to this lovely region of Queensland. We have driven along quiet , gum tree lined country roads, spotted some peaceful waterways and are becoming experts at stumps!!! Thank you to all the COs who have caches in this area - you are all doing a wonderful job creating, placing and maintaining your hides.
Some muggles around but Richmond Lad ventured to GZ.

Todays we arrived into Murgon.
We have set up camp in the caravan park near the end of the main street. There is water, toilet & shower but no electricity. $10 deposit for a key to the amenities which is refundable.
Stopped to pick a couple of caches around the country side, some great views from up on Black Mountain
A very interesting weather Station near the car park.

Out on a geo caching adventure today, Murgon to Wondai. Wanted to beat my best day of six finds - Geraldton WA. Currently farm sitting in the area, so am able to find as many as I can while we tour around the area.

Thanks for bringing us here Jimmyproject. Bit hesitant to launch our selves into the bush - couple of potential muggles arrived - they may have been cachers, but had to be careful. Too Geo Coin, Left TB.

Wombat the Anthus laptop Geocoin visited, as did Runciple's Grasshopper, a tassie trekkers pathtag, a slovak geocoin, a dolphin, a broken heart and a map of Australia.

With a day that was looking to be too wet to do anything at home Wink, 26mm to 10.00 Smile, 32mm at 1700 Big Grin when I arrived home. Our wettest day [^] since March this year. Nothing else to do except go caching Smile
I need 13 Smile for my 900 milestone.

Hate having a Sad on a cache, determined to change it into a Smile and that I did, almost ended up in the creek, the bank was very slippery, had to hang onto everything available.
I don't like it's chance of survival after the next flood.
All's Cool with the cache,

I tried looking for this one a few weeks ago, but there were just too many muggles swimming in the water below GZ, so I gave it a miss. Today I was lucky enough to have the whole area to myself, and after a bit of scratching around I had the well-concealed container in hand. I loved the really cool swaps left behind by PurpleCazza and DingoMick; alas I had to leave them in place as I had nothing on hand to swap for them. Thanks again Jimmyproject for another great cache in the beautiful South Burnett. Cheers from Bindair Dundat.

We arrived at the car park and headed down the hill towards the river and GZ. Took a little while to find the well hidden cache despite previous logs advising it might have been missing, but it is still there and is in good condition. We signed the log and re-hid the cache and procedded to the river to have a chat with a couple of fisherman getting ready to paddle upstream in hope of catching a feed.

Seirra1 and I walked down the hill towards the river and found GZ. Took a little while to find the well hidden cache but it is still here and is in good condition. We signed the log and re-hid the cache before walking down the hill to have a chat with a couple of fisherman getting ready to paddle upstream in hope of catching a feed. I took a couple of photos before making our way back to the car and the air-conditioning. This is a great little spot to visit. Thanks for bringing us here and for the cache Jimmyproject.

Captain Terror, Xusia and I were spending the day together caching. We had been slowly working our way in a giant circle with the destination a home cooked meal in Bell. Xusia parked the car in the only spot we could and we headed over to check out what the weather rock had to say about the hot weather.

As we got to GZ the Captain dived in to make the find as Xusia and I kept an eye out for any curious muggles wandering up from their water activities. Our names were signed in the logbook and the cache was returned as found. Thanks for the cache JimmyProject.

26-Oct-14
Where the Fick is Allan Huston Park?
Now I know.

I totally understand how you'd drive right past this spot, but you'd certainly miss out. Net88, Xusia and I made the detour in here - thanks solely to the geocache. The carpark seemed to be filled by drivers too scared to park near another car, so we were forced to park a bit awkwardly. GPSr and pen in hand, we headed off.

First stop was the weather stone - such Australian humour and between chuckles, photos were taken. Onwards! It is a popular place here on Sunday for down near the creek were a few families picnicking, swimming and canoeing. That seems like a smart plan to me on such a hot day!

The others kept watch as I darted in for the find. I scratched around for it and came up with the well camouflaged beast. I wandered back to share the logbook around before replacing all in good condition. I'll have to remember this spot if I'm ever back here. TFTC and thanks for showing me this spot Jimmyproject Smile

We strolled over and it was only a family with 2 boys. Mrs K remarked that she saw her first Little Bittern from a canoe where they are, "Not likely to see one today"
Well I found the cache (never seen one of these containers B4) and gained a smiley today.

I went out to look for this one just to verify if indeed it has grown legs and walked. I do not usually claim a second find on a cache but if it has been placed at a new GZ and more than 20 meters from the original GZ I do not have any qualms in claiming the find again.

The additional hint says it all. Very well cammeoed and in a very good location. My GPSr indicated 6 meters to GZ when I spied two of the objects mentioned in the additional hint.

Found it first place I looked. It is easily missed as it is covered well and also blends in very well. Co Ordinates that worked for me S26 15.136 E151 53.572.

I did contact the CO and volunteer to go and check on this one for him as I do keep an eye on any cache that is hidden in my area for out of the district Cache Owners.

We were in Wondai today for the Spring Garden Expo, plenty of plants, if one couldn't find a particular plant / shrub / fruit tree then it didn't exist.
The Expo died earlier than expected, with enough time to find a few green boxes that have been nagging me.
This was going to be the last for the day, The GPS had me going in circles, but finally at a GZ 0m out in the open, climbed the steps to the flood tower, nil. Searched the creek bank, could not find anywhere one could hide a regular container, maybe a micro in the end of the hand rail, zip.

I do hate to report, I think this one is MIA again.

Coordinates changed to:
S 26° 15.132 E 151° 53.571

Distance from original: 159.9 feet or 48.7 meters.
Due to our initial bad placement and subsequent vandalism, we have been back and moved this to a more suitable place. However, please be aware of muggles as the whole creek area is frequented by muggles.

19-Sep-14
Back up and running now. If you have already found this and are still in the area, feel free to find again as it is a different hide and a fair way from the original.

Thank you for placing these 5. I am on afternoon shift today so left home at around 0720 and drove return time and distance 2.5 hours 123Klm. There has been a lot of work in this park of recent years as evident by the photos attached. Parked and walked over in the direction that the GPSr wanted me to walk. Very quickly I spied where I thought it would be and did not need the Gizmo any more. I am 174cm tall and lucky I have a long reach. Quick find at 0800. TFTC Jimmyproject
