Out and about caching on Earth Cache day. We decided to seek out any exisiting archived in the area. Cache located fairly quickly. Nice to find an old archive still in existence. TFTC
Came up here with ESCO as there once were 3 caches placed in or near this location. After a quick climb, once the muggles had left i retrieved the “container” missing the cover and log. Bagged and added log and pencil and placed back in position.
Found in the company of Gon20s the day before this cache was archived. This site is well worth dropping in - I do hope it gets re-equipped with a cache soon. TFTC.
We stopped at the lookout, got out and got back in the car but I soon realised there is a cache here, so we went back to look for it. Took us a bit, but grabbed it after requiring some stealth. Thanks for the view from here
Me and my family found this cache on our holliday in Australia. We travelled from Denmark to Sydney and then by plane to Brisbane. In Brisbane we rented a motorhome, and the for 4 weeks we drowe trough Australian and ended in Cains. In this 4 weeks we found a lot of caches - Thanks to all COs who made these caches - and thanks to all those wunderful Australians we met - You truly live in a wunderful Country
Many greetings from Denmark
We will be back...............

Found together with HDanske on our holiday to Australia, where we were on a roadtrip starting from Brisbane to Port Douglas. This was one of the many places we went to.
Despite the weather not being in our favor at all, then the cache was found pretty easily.
TYFTC and greetings from Denmark.

Cairns trip 2016. Day 7. Today was the last dash to Pt Douglas. It turned out to be a longer day than expected and I was only able to stop a few times, two were very interesting. A nice simple cache that turned out to be my last for the day.
Thanks.

Tftc not sure about the clue, didn't seem relevant but as we read it was a new container perhaps that is the reason. Enjoyed finding out about the wind farm. Happy with a smile!!
We only visited this place to do the cache that was here. Thank you so much for a great experience! Amazing windmills.
Had the place to ourselves this morning so cache was quickly located. Very misty and the spooky sound from the wind turbines made this an eerie experience. These turbines are quite different than the ones we have at home. Thanks.
With Solving4X. Had to wait out several sets of muggles to make the grab at just the right time. Quite an interesting spot. This is by far the closest I've ever been to devices like this, especially when you can hear them going!
Today we did a geocaching tour from Ravenshoe to Millaa Millaa & return
A variety of caches found & some wonderful natural attractions visited.
Found the log as indicated by previous cacher, we have put it into a new container more to where the terrain rating indicated.
Intersting to see all these windmills.

Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
The roadtrip to end all roadtrips has begun! Gaz'n'Kab and catscatscats22 have left all but their trusty steed behind, and have embarked on the most epicest adventures across Australia
We headed off from Hypipamee with Millstream next up on the list, however with a Wind Farm along the way, how could we not stop by! That is when things turned for the worst... The Gear Stick Lever suddently turned to jelly, and we had no control over the gear box anymore! We safely made it off the main road, and began the process to get the car towed back to Cairns to be fixed With a little time up our sleeve, we noticed this cache close by and of course had to have a go at it. Once we began searching we soon realised that the container was no longer there, just the logbook We continued searching anyway, and soon spotted the original logbook, and happilly added our names to the logbook [^] Sadly we did not have an appropriate container to replace it with, however it looks like now someone else has now replaced it

Will endeavor to be there soon to replace cache. My apologies as i didnt realise cache was this bad
Found half of the empty container where it was supposed be we think but interrupted by muggles before we could search for log.
Found the log paper jammed where described by previous finder. Thanks for bringing me here. It was freezing cold, blowing a raging gale ( it is a wind farm) and raining at the time. Meanwhile there was a heat wave down south.
Found a piece of log paper from the cache on the ground! I put the piece of paper back in between the first pole on your right (where it joins the beam with the pole) of the corner of the shelter! You will see it if you look from out side of the shelter near the roads edge!
Boy, windy or what! This morning was absolutely freezing, sprinkling and blowing a gale. Glad those turbines were tightly screwed on. No sign of a mirror if there was meant to be one but Mr M proved athletic enough to get the cache. TFTC

This was worth a visit. Amazing. Love the concept of the wind turbines. Breeze was blowing steady.
Ratdog was the agile one and made a find but sadly no reflections were seen.

Very windy day and a great find sadly lost my pen at last cache so your gonna have to take my word for it
There was only a slight breeze today but those sails were still going around! Found the cache after a bit of callisthenics.

17℃ , windy, wet, foggy and Slippery. Cache found but it seems to have lost half the lid.
10:12:00 AM. A short detour and good eyes from the better half spotted this one. The cache container is half gone with only a couple of sheets of paper stuck under the remains. Signed log and returned. Thanks WESTSTIGERSNO.1 for placing this cache.
Good hiding spot and really cool case!! The wind was very fierce plus it was freezing fun!! TFC!!
We visited on our return from the Undara Lava Tubes. Had a good look around before we spotted an item of interest. Upon retrieval and closer inspection we realised we had the cache in hand.
Always an interesting place to visit.

Spotted it quickly, cool container. The log was wet and we didn't have a spare with us. We left a pathtag though. Tftc great spot
Made us think before the right sequence of agility and observation was stumbled upon. Great spot for a cache, we are happy to see this place on the geocaching map again. TFTC
Short stop on the way from Alice to Cairns, every cache here in nowehere was good for getting out of the car a little bit. Thank you from Billi-16V+Gabi
Today we explored Ravenshoe and surrounds using geocaching as a guide.
Thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

#1327 - took a bit of hunting but...duh there it was. Great view of the windfarm. Location worthy of a favourite.
Yah? We found it?
Or rather, we found it with help.
Or, to be truthful, we asked for help and it was found for us, and then retrieved for us, and then returned for us. Here in hangs the tale.
Val and I returned to Windy Hill today determined to find this little blighter aided by the much appreciated helpful message from the cache owner.
Again we were stumped. We knew what we were looking for, but couldn't find it. We were about to give up when three young people arrived. As each was holding a smart phone, it occurred to me that they just might be geocachers on the same quest. I asked if this was so. Geocaching was new to a couple of them but one had some experience with it. I explained the exercise and the fact that there was a cache somewhere near bye. Hang me if one of the lads didn't look around and point it out. I was somewhat gob smacked I can tell you?
Anyway, as my level of mobility was not up to the task, my new friends retrieved the cache and, after I had signed the log, replaced it.
We then talked about geocaching for a while and I sincerely hope that we may soon have some new members from the adventure.
Cheers,
Dan

We stopped here on the Easter trip but stopped again returning to Charters from Cairns because of the cache. Geodad spotted a coloured object when there was no-one else around. By the time Geomum had used all her mobility to retrieve the container a new car load of viewers had arrived. The log was quickly signed, replaced and handed back to mum as some muggles approached. It was put back together and replaced quickly so we hope it was secure. It was windy enough to blow a cap of a geodad's head as we headed down to the bakery for lunch. Thanks for an interesting cache WeststigersNo1.
Quick find once I re-read the description.. The top of cache had fallen off its base and log was nowhere to be found.. I replaced log and placed cache back into its hidden location.. TFTC SL
Hi,
I came, I looked, I did not find!
Windy hill was sure living up to it's name. The turbines were swishing, the hats were flying, the muggles were cold, the cache was elusive.
In between muggles Val and I searched for the cache. The GPS insisted that was about half way between the viewing shed and the road. "Well." I thought, "you'd have to be somewhat mobile to stand on the side of that bank, so that fits." Alas I couldn't find a cache there.
So I turned to the clue. "What do you see when you look into a mirror?" Well I see a face - that did not seem to spring the cache. I see a reflection - that was about as useful. I see an image - there were images up by the plaques but they didn't provide a cache as far as I could find. We had a look around the shed, but by then the wind and the muggles just made it too uncomfortable so reluctantly we left it till next time.
Cheers,
Dan
