I had looked for this previously without success, but noting that trancer96 found it recently I thought I would have one last look beofre the big red button gets pushed. Also, being school holidays it is a good time to try this one. Sure enough, I found it pretty quickly in an obvious spot, but I'm sure I looked there last time without success. Tried writing in the log but it was too soft and wet, so took a photo instead. You can sort of see the "gf" I put in the log, but it's not very clear.
This has now been disabled for about ten months and clearly needs maintenance.Since it seems the CO isn't interested in doing the maintenance please archive it so that someone else can potentially use the spot.
I'm not sure if this is disabled because it is alledged to be missing or because maintenance is pending. Either way it's been disabled *way* longer the geocaching guidelines allow and should be really be addressed one way or another. I thought I'd have a look and see what the story is and found it no problem in about 30 seconds. However I couldn't sign it because the log is almost a pulp so I'm attaching a photo and claiming a find anyway. I checked the hint afterwards to see what it had to say and while it's kind of cheeky it's arguably correct. I'm not sure what's with the previous DNFs because even with the slight coord error it's still within a reasonable search radius and in a logical place. TFTC.
A second visit to this site was needed for me to track this cache down. This time, having obtained details from earlier logs about how far I could expect the coordinates to be out, I was able to walk directly to the cache site.
Went too far like everyone else so far but after a quick search along the fence we found it. TFTC
Coordinates are out by about 10m along the fence line. Otherwise, not a difficult find. TFTC
We did a quick tour of Tawa and Linden revisitng Mrs SoBads former home area. So we wanted one cache for the memories. This was the closest unfound to her old home and also near her old college so was a good one to pick. It was a quick find when she widened the search as other logs had suggested she do.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Yep, have to broaden the search a bit. Needs to be uncovered too. Not instantly visible
Wasn’t sure how easy this one would be, but was fortunate enough to locate it within a minute or two. Depends where you start looking I guess. Not sure about the coordinates because I had only my iPhone with me, and it's never quite as accurate as my Garmin. #1003. TFTC.
After no luck from 2 x previous visits, we found straight away today. Found with Bonnster; she must have been my good luck charm today. TFTC. Cheers!
Quick find while collecting a few local caches, cache was lying exposed to have hidden a little better, yet still obvious to find. #8253
Arrived at site and found the old container absolutely instantly. Took much longer to actually find the new one! Thanks for the cache, old container disposed of as requested.
Placed a new container at the cache location. If anyone finds the old container with the slimy logbook could they please remove it.
Quick find, slowly turning Tawa to smileys!! Couldn't get logbook out of tin as too wet and slimey so photo of tin attached. TFTC
A quck find -but recent wet weather means the logbook is mush and unsignable. Pic attached as evidence of find.
6995. Pouring with rain today so decided to drive to Porirua for lunch. Did this one on the way back to Johnsonville. A very quick and easy cache. Logbook was soaked but we had no spare with us. Managed to squeeze it out enough to write on. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
Nice quick find today while in the area picking up a few caches. Has been pretty wet down these ways as the walk to the cache was a bit slushy and the log sheet was well and truly soaked. Still managed to sign it though (well, sort of). TFTC
After walking across a rather soggy field located the cache very quickly, once again Carters sharp eyes spotted its hiding spot before he reached it.
The log book was really wet so we had add a dry slip of paper in the meantime.

Called here this afternoon and found the cache fairly quickly a few metres to the east of the posted coordinates. This cache is an excellent example of why not to use mint tins as containers - they are about the least waterproof of any commonly used type and the logsheet was a sodden mess. I needed great care to prevent it disentegrating as I unfolded it; and I couldn't read any of the signatures of previous finders. Fortunately I carry a pen that can write on wet paper and I was able to sign it. Replaced as found but it really does need some maintenance. TFTC.
Followed the GPSr with TregearP and found nothing. Checked the logs and followed the suggestions of other finders. In the end found the cache in the out open in the bottom of a drain. Log is sodden - have a photo as evidence of find.
Emptied of water and shifted location by about half a metre onto higher ground and a little less obvious position and covered with a rock.

I found it but the container was rusted shut and needed to be cracked open with a rock, and upon opening I found the contents wet through; so I couldn't sign it without destroying the paper. Contemplated taking it with me but I've left it where I found it as per the rules. Requesting maintenance
Seem to remember a nearby cache here-abouts not too long ago. Pretty quick find while in the area with the geo-spouse.

Out walking dogs while visiting my sister...walked the fenceline a few times, read logs and changed my search area...had just located a suitable spot to tie dogs so I could search easier and there was the treasure...coordinates out by 10m or so. Tftc
#512. We parked nearby and walked on what I at first thought was the shared pathway but soon realised my error so scurried to the park before we got blasted at by a train. Walked back and forth looking for the cache. Both Miss E and I checked the actual cache site twice before Miss E saw it from a different angle. Signed and away by the approved route. TFTC
Well this wasn't my first visit here, but this time I managed to come up with the goods. Thanks for the cache.
Gardener suddenly appeared just as we spotted the treasure. Hmmm. Had a chat about caching. Well and truly muggled. TFTC
Eventually spotted the cache as we were talking to a miggle who was off to look up the geocacjing website. TFTC.
Not to close to the coordinates but found anyway, not well hidden. No one doing the gardening on this visit
Risking fate looking for a micro in the dark but had such a good evening don't want to go home. 4th cache for the evening. Tftc
Being the holidays all was quiet. Right opposite my old college.
After reading the previous log and searching for several minutes I wondered how this was D1 till I read further down the logs and got the accurate coordinates and immediately spotted the cache sitting there in the open, surprising it was still there. Added a small amount of cover but hopefully not enough to raise the difficulty level.

Took my little 9 year old sister. Looking forever. The place filled with rubbish! Then I spotted a container in an unusual spot. Tftc!

("\(0o0)/") No luck today, we'll have to have another crack at it next time.

Tried for this previously but dark overtook me. Other logs implied GPS about 10m out so looked in a few places then spotted lying exposed on the ground. Pleased to find had hid nearby and covered slightly. TFTC
No joy today, even after referring to previous logs. Will come back to search another day. Cheers!
Out for a walk with 1Bumblebee.
Had found the previous one at this park.
Took a wee while (and a read of previous logs) to locate.

Went to visit some people nearby and took a walk to this cache. Ued the co-ords by taybee as cache was at leat 10m away from given point. Thanks for the quick cache.
Found after widening the search considerably. I suggest that the CO checks the coordinates for this one. TFTC
A quick Tawa dash this evening. Easy find as could see it clearly as approached cache. Quickly signed and gave it a bit of extra cover. TFTC.
Third time lucky on this one after two pretty thorough searches last time (including where I found the cache on this visit). Glad to have knocked it off - TFTC !
Wanted to get this last night but it got too dark so found it this evening after a busy day caching. TFTC

Took advantage of the school holidays to grab this one with less chance of being seen.

Found the earlier cache that used to be here no problem. This one took me about five minutes to locate. Being school holidays made it easier to find without being seen.

Found it out in the open, put some twigs in front to disguise the resting place.

No problems finding this one on the way to town. Already was aware the co-ords were a bit out so soon located the container. SL TFTC
Bit of a search on this one, but previous logs on 8-10 mtre variation helped. TFTC
Cache # 1,989 - Updated coordinates: S 41° 09.824 E 174° 49.820
Thanks to the previous loggers who indicated the general direction to search. It was a reasonably quick find 8-10 metres away from the posted coordinates. Certainly not one I would want to do during the normal day, so my pre-dawn find was just about perfect - although still worried about someone spotting my torch. Like Infoferret I was rather nervous approaching this one. At least it is in a slightly better spot than the previous cache here, but still don't see it lasting too long term. TFTC.

Had found the predecessor and this was unfortunately a similar experience, rather tricky to find, and wasn't too comfortable lurking along someone's fence line. Co-ords out for me too.

Had a good look around but couldn't spot the cache. No obvious hiding spots after plenty of poking around.
Driving up to the area, I was filled with a sense of foreboding, as I remember searching around here for a previous short lived cache....and seeing a DNF log on the first day added to the uncertainty. Checked where the GPS pointed, Nothing. Looked around there, Nothing. Was about to give up, when I decided to work my way along the fence line, and see if I noticed anything out of place. I spotted something, and although I was dubious investigated and discovered the container and logbook. No it's not near the drain, just to allay people's fears. Left it as I found it. You will certainly be very conspicuous around school times!
#1128 Decided to stop by again on our way home after an unsuccessful attempt earlier this afternoon. This time, Aga found it, in a place that we had looked close to but not exactly at. TFTC.
#5713. Met Yeetrees at the parking spot, and went together to GZ. Nothing. Widened the search area and Mrs h found it. The area was generally open, but with the slight tree cover, the signal was still wandering a bit. GPS was reading between 5 - 10 metres at GZ. TNLNSL. TFTC.
