Decided to spend a few days in Tamworth with my geodog Scruffy, so we just had to get out and find some of the caches hidden in my old home town.

Checked again. It was still there. I have moved it a few meters to make it more secure.
Today's caching around Tamworth has made me realise how many suburbs are popping up everywhere. TfTc
I was out there for half an hour and my kid did not find it now thay sad because they did not find it so next time it better be there.
Came to Tamworth for a Conference. Decided to come in early and leave late so I could do a little caching whilst in the area.
Sadly there were electricians working at GZ so I didn't attempt this one. Looked like a really nice place. That cafe would have had my business if it was still operating.

Nice to find a cache here. Took a while to sink in. Magpie Cottage has a eye for this sport

The Totem Poels certainly interesting, great talking subject for locals and tourists alike. SL TFTC
Quick park and grab as we have seen this sort of hide before whilst visiting from Coffs Harbour.

TfTC i tried to find this one like a year ago and failed miserably. . But found it this time !!
We have travelled up from Sydney, to spend a week or so in Tamworth & Nundle for the April school holidays, staying at the Big4 Paradise caravan park in our Jayco Swan outback camper trailer. Today we were visiting the various Antique & Op Shops around Tamworth, and collecting some caches along the way. After some lunch back at camp the geofamily wanted some afternoon rest time, but geodad was hungry for more caches, so he headed out solo to pickup some caches around the South Tamworth area. This was the 14th find of the day, 38th find of the holiday.
After winding through a tangle of suburban back streets I finally arrived at "The Heights", with it's nice cafe and carved sculptures on tall poles. At GZ I immediately spotted what is becoming a very popular style of camo back in Sydney, sitting in plain view but totally invisible to the unknowing muggles.
Signed the log sheet and then replaced as found. The log sheet is now full, and actually starting to fall apart, so needs replacing. Thanks yet again for the cache Whitey Wiskas.

We are refreshed after lunch and ready to take on more of the caches around Tamworth. This was a nice quick find. TFTC
Very different part of Tamworth - will have to give the pub a visit one visit. Quick find TFTC whitey
Found at 3:00 PM GAFF1.
A nice looking new estate. Also loved the cafe/bar that replicates the old style hotel buildings - very nice touch.
As we approached GZ the GPSr was indicating to go to those carved poles, but we knew better as we had already spotted an interesting item that should not be there
Thanks Whitey Wiskas.

Excellent sneaky Cache Whitey. Have to say it is my favourite so far. Unfortunately the Location makes it hard to not be watched. TFTC.
Love the statues nearby, Seems loike a noice place from what i can tell. I remember the 1st toime i came across a hide loike this which had me baffled, now that seems a long toime ago and i can notice them from a mile away, but i still enjoy finding these types. tftc, fav point for more reasons. I was staring at it every day I come here good one. I was swearing at cursing when I found it
Another dnf I think I might be a muggle still figured clue out but still no luck. Might need help for first few caches till I get a lil bit better. Will be back tho
I couldn't spare much time in Tamworth so tried the ones in this corner. A good hide here and I really liked the artwork so thanks for bringing me here.
We arrived at GZ and thought wow, they look cool and started to walk to the totems only to see the arrow pointing behind us. Turned back and soon spotted the neat little cache.

Beautiful Tamworth... drive around to find caches with whitepaws9.. stay for two nights .. thank
QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day two saw us caching all day while we drove from Dubbo to Tamworth. Today was a great day seeing people voting and finding lots of caches. The nearby structures seemed eerily familiar to me. Thanks.

Found with Albida33 on the way to the Stanthorpe Mega......so please excuse the generic log.
The cache was found without any issues and the log was soon signed....then back in the car and off to continue our travels.
Thanks for the cache and adding to the fun of our Mega trip.....

Election Day for NSW. Rather than being inside putting numbers in little boxes, we were out and about opening the little green boxes on our map of Tamworth.
Satellites today had our GZ 5m NW of where we found the cache.
Our thanks to Whitey Wiskas for bringing us here.
